If the killer leaves the game, you get the "Match Result: Escaped" message. Make it count toward the challenge.

Yeah when I was doing this challenge I had 2 killer's dc, would of saved so much time if it counted. DC's should always count during all progress. If i heal 3 health states in a game and the killer DC's, then I simply loose all progress.

  • @Eleghost said:

huh. Don't play killer on pc then. Most of the time its 10+ min queue times.

That's just dumb. you're literally saying "don't play the game."

As for OP, it's probably because of Regine, time, and closest server all combined. I haven't gotten many games where I am because of the time, so I would just try again later.

  • Legion is safe but garbage. There is literally no good thing about him. You may as well play No Trap Trapper and you'll do better then him.

Until he is reworked he'll be broken and unplayable for both sides.

    Feral Frenzy:

130% speed And vaults pallets and windows at 0.9s

When activating FF you can still see scratch marks and blood pools.

Using a basic attack does NOT drain the power gauge.

After missing a swing will cause a 3s stun.

Manually ending FF will give a 2.75s stun

    No longer applies Deep Wound.

Applies Blindness and hemorrhage for 80s

    Secondary Power:

Holding the secondary power button will reveal the aura of lockers within 32m. Releasing the button will cause The legion to disappear in a cloud of black smoke which takes 2s to complete, and cannot be canceled. The selected locker will also emit small amounts of black smoke for 2s. After the animation is complete, a different and random member of the legion will sprint out of the locker. They have undetectable for 6s. The legion can attack immediately after the locker sprint animation has ended, which takes 0.5s

If this power is used in Feral Frenzy, the new legion member is also in the FF state, and the timer is refreshed. In addition, all survivors within 32 meters is revealed via killer instinct for 5s.

This ability has a cooldown of 30s.

Only thing I would do is replace hemorrhage into mangled and it would be really good.

  • Question: Why do you guys honestly thought nerfing Legion was a good idea, and when is he getting a rework too make him actually good?

  • @DocFabron said:

A perk shouldn’t counter an entire power.

Why wouldn't it? Spine Chill completely shuts down stealth killers, Small game makes trap killer's useless. Iron Will is the counter too Spirit now. There really is no point in having No Mither not drop blood with the trade off being you're one shot always.

  • I WANT TOO SEE THE 6 FLAP YOU MONSTER!!!

  • @Brucecastro81 said:

Every single game there's at least one guy freaking self caring in a corner, can't those guys understand that Self care is just a time waster??

No. Just because you don't like the perk doesn't mean others don't. There's no reason too remove a perk YOU think is useless.

Thats not a noed hate or balance thread, I am simply asking why are YOU using noed, if you use it obviously. I personally and honestly dont like noed and would never use it because its way to crutch and braindead for me. Thats my personal opinion to that, However I can understand if ppl have reasons like "they are bad in this game, want to punish genrush etc". The reason "I am new to this killer and want to learn him" is not a option because you cant learn a killer if you immidiatly kill the survivor. Anyway, let me know and share your experiences!

I use it too stop gen rushers. They never cleanse totems so it's nice too punish those who just hold M1 and ruin the fun of the game.

  • @Peanits said:

While I get what you're saying, we did just give every 18 free cosmetics earlier this week. The point of giving people the event cosmetics was to compensate for the fact that people had lost them due to loss of progress. We found a better solution that would have allowed us to award them only to people who had earned them. I'm sorry if the free cosmetics we gave you weren't good enough, but this way is more fair to the people who put in the effort to get them.

Well the argument of "they're exclusives so they should stay that way." doesn't hold up when all other event cosmetics are in the store for auric cells, so why not simply make the old event cosmetics the same? There's a discussion that is getting quite a lot of attention that I feel should be considered.

Here's the link so you can read it: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/109850/petition-for-a-compromise-regarding-the-withdrawal-of-the-4-event-cosmetics/p1

How is it a waste of time when it’s literally what we was put into the game to do. How will we escape if gens don’t get done.... should we break all totems, open all chests, break all hooks, and drop all pallets before starting the first GEN?

Don't put words in my mouth. I didn't say too never do gens, what I'm saying is the game shouldn't take 5 mins too be done. It's unfun and a waste of time for all sides. Chill a little my dude, no need too start being sassy and rude.

  • @Biohazard said:

After playing him for some bit, I noticed some changes to the version on the PTB.

    • They reduced his powermeter by at least 50%, map pressure is practical gone with that change. (-)
    • Increased the time it takes to destroy pallets with his power. (-)
    • Powermeter won´t deplete on picking up survivors (+)
    • I had the feeling they reduced the amount of dropped Orbs by Survivors, which in my opinion kinda cancels out the only buff he got. (-)
    • They removed the AOE effect on power hits (-)
    • Because of the reduced powermeter, his addons got passively nerfed too. (-)

I played him a lot on the PTB and i could not remember the last time i had so much fun with a killer. The "new" Oni feels kinda castrated now and ripped of his potential as a killer that could deal with [sweaty] SWF. I´m also won´t say he is bad overall, just gutted compared to his previous version which is kinda sad but expected move to a killer which probably did "overperforms" on the PTB.

Please keep in mind that´s what i noticed playing him for 4h. I might be wrong on some cases and you are free to correct me . I also would love to hear your opinion on those changes.

thanks in advanced and sorry for my bad English

    Sincerely,

    Biohazard

Don't want too seem like the bad guy, but the changes are incredibly minute and don't change much with him. He still plays the same, and running Knock Out + Infectious is still a monstrous combo. I agree they should of let him settle in before changing him, but it's BHVR, the home of "nerf now, rework them in a few years."

That right there would be a non sequitur. Just because one system is not so friendly to new players at the moment doesn't mean that we don't care about new players when we try to make something else more intuitive. What we're aiming to eliminate is the question of, "Does X work with Y?" Like the example given, why does Sloppy Butcher work with Frenzy while NOED does not? Both activate on basic attacks, so why are they different? Having each power work on a case by case basis would mean you'd either have to look it up or test it out for each killer.

I don't think it takes a lot too figure out "hey, if Legion's Frenzy could insta down with NOED, it would be incredibly broken and would destroy the game." Plus I have never seen a post saying this. People understood why NOED or Rancor didn't work with Frenzy but Sloppy did, so changing it for "consistency" when Wraith's stealth dash or Hag's teleport attack still count as an M1. Please revert the changes too Legion so he can be somewhat useful. ATM he's completely useless.

  • @Acromio said:

    So, they're basically nerfing him.

We literally know nothing but the text, not how it functions ingame. It could be a nerf, or a massive buff. We need too wait till it's out before we say "OP" or "UP"

  • @DeadByGayDwight said:

    Okay...killer here.

Why does everyone complain about survivors doing gens? "Gen Rushing" is an idiotic term, just like "Tunneling" and so on. That's literally their main objective...that's their ONLY main objective, aside from the exits gates. If you can't grasp the basics, allow to explain. In Dead By Daylight, all matches come down to this:

Each survivor tags in and out with the killer while other survivors do gens.

That's the most basic concept. If you're a good killer, no one can get to the exit gates before you kill everyone. And that, is a personal issue, NOT a DBD issue.

Gen rushing isn't an idiotic term. By your logic it's ok for a killer too facecamp the entire game because killing someone is their objective. Without skillchecks, perks, or items a gen takes 80 seconds, so if you are chasing 1 survivor for 30 seconds - 1 minute, that means at most 3 gens are near done. Then you add toolboxes, Brand New Part, and Prove Thyself and the gens are pretty much done in 5 mins.

Gen rushing is a massive problem, especially in red ranks. It's the reason I stopped playing during the halloween "event" because everyone just gen rushed too get the bloodpoints for doing the special gens, and games lasted 5 mins at least.

Either there needs too be more objectives for survivors too do, or gens need too take longer, but as it stands gen rushing is just boring, unfun, and a waste of time for all sides.

How? The magically if you know how to play him he is fine things isn't an answer.

That is just bad design then. Quick to learn hard to master is the balance you want. Not unplayable then slightly better than trash one you learn him.

lol Oni is not trash. He is hard too learn, harder too master, like Billy. You simply need too put the time into him and he'll shine. I've done well with him, getting mostly 3-4k's today. He won't win every game, but no killer will. He is absolutely a top tier and a viable killer once you've learned him.

  • @Simulated_Hobo said:

So far I've de-pipped two ranks and got zero kills with the Oni. Other than that what useful things can do he? Also, gating powers is a very bad trend I am starting to see. How on earth did they think it was a good idea when plague is terrible because of just that.

Oni is a complete equal too billy IMO, it just comes down too playstyles. Billy's power is instant and always gives movement speed, but it's hard too control, where Oni has too collect his power but it has better controls and can down multiple survivors at once.

If you're having trouble with Oni it's because you can't pick him up and run rampent, he takes some practice too get used too.

that would be okay, if the basement challenges wouldnt be needed to continue the rift.

yet they are, so it wouldnt be fair to just stop the rift progression for those who havent hooked 5 in the basement yet.

also, what if there are no hooks nearby and only the basement's left?

the survivor wont stop wiggeling, just because there is no other hook left in that area.

and to top it off, they cant say what exactly happens in the trials.

players could literally just report you for abusing the bug and the devs wouldnt be able to tell weather you actually did it or not. thats why they always say they need video evidence of hostage situations after all.

it would be better to just leave it alone and hotfix it asap imo.

Letting people abuse bugs is not something that should be tolerated. If someone is reported for abusing the bug then they simply need too look into it. It's no different then any other report, you simply need too look into it.

  • @Peanits said:

No, they can't. There's an archive challenge that specifically asks people to hook survivors in the basement, and there's no way for the killer to tell that it's bugged or not. We're testing a fix as we speak and hope to have it out as soon as possible.

You could simply say something in game, ban those who continue too abuse it, and then compensate everyone for delaying the Archive challenge in shards or Fragments.

  • @John_Doe said:

Legion needs reworked asap but going by leaks it looks like their focusing on doctor

Legion is never getting a rework realistically. Most of the devs hated him anyways, so it's not surprising they keep nerfing him. it took Freddy 2 years too get reworked, so it'll be 5-6 until Legion gets one.

Those are not "good Survivors". Good Survivors will do the Objective and not chase the Killer in an attempt to get a Flashlight Save which is counterable so easily.

Pretty much every game has someone with a flashlight who does try for flashlight saves. And a flashlight save could completely cripple a killer if it's done right. so saying "good survivors don't flashlight save." is wrong.

  • @arslaN said:

I think it's fine right now. There is nothing wrong with exclusives and these are basically recolours of existing cosmetics.

What? Billys hammer is pretty unique, as well as huntress mask and david jacket. the only one i can see as a recolor is kate's, but even then it has a unique look too it. I would love too see them in the shop, it's a good middle ground.

  • @Mrwood204 said:

So thanks to the tomes I'm slightly better with flashlights now.

But...other then the challenges, I'm at a loss for what they are good for.

Maybe to get the killers attention?

Someone mind....shedding a light on it for me?

Flashlight saves. Good survivors will pretty much camp you when you chase someone, so it's best too bait the rat out of hiding then hit it in the head. Works for me usually.

  • IDK how he is on console to be fair, I've heard he's horrible. On PC though he's amazing.

    BBQ

Feel free to share other ideas

Make Your Choice isn't bad but Exposed status means you don't get blood from what I've heard. My dream build would be Thana, Knock Out, Infectious, and Ruin. Get your power then go to pound town.

This is just what I think could be beneficial to Decisive Strike, and make it less oppressive in situations when killers can't do anything, like when someone is downed in an exit gate, but they have Decisive Strike, which the killer can't do anything about. Please send feedback, I greatly appreciate suggestions.

Decisive Strike will activate when you are pulled off the hook, this perk is activated for 40 seconds. This perk deactivates, if any survivor except for yourself is damaged in any way. Whenever you are picked up from the dying state, you will have to hit a skill check to escape. Decisive Strike will not activate if you are grabbed from an action, or from a locker. This would fix most of the situations in which Decisive Strike is uncounterable.

Another solution I've thought of is

Decisive Strike doesn't activate when you are grabbed from an action or a locker, Decisive Strike does not proc when the last generator is powered.

These are just thoughts to make Decisive Strike less oppressive, but to keep it's ability to punish tunnelling, not give survivors invincibility from being hooked for 60 seconds. Please, give your feedback, and suggest your ideas as well.

    Thanks.

Better solution is too simply have it end when someone else is hooked. That way it actually is meant too be anti tunneling and not a get out of jail free card.

I haven’t played since Demogorgon released, but I was happy to see in the patch notes that disconnection penalties have now been put in place to truly discourage disconnection by temporarily disabling the ability to search for a match for a variable amount of time.

Has the rampant disconnecting finally gone down to almost negligible, or are people still disconnecting as if nothing has changed? Or are they just suiciding on hook more / going AFK while the Survivors escape more?

Well it would be nice if it was even active. And even if it was people just suicide on first hook anyway, which there is still no punish for, so yeah nothing's changed.

I'd say he is top 4, he's in a perfect tie with Billy IMO.

  • @LoverOfDemogorgon said:

No, after a day of playing him at red ranks he is absolute dogpoop

I've been playing him for hours in red rank, and he is a very good killer. He is on par with Billy in power. I think you simply need more practice with him, he isn't a "pick up and kill" killer.

And just objectively Legion and Bubba are way worse killers. Neither have any map pressure which Demon Dash give Oni.

  • @FearedbytheGods said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/888774#Comment_888774

No I'm not going to give you that.

Because for it to become what you think it is requires a whole bunch of preconditions that have to be met and in place before you could even CLAIM it was an infinite. Even then a skilled killer could close it, meaning it wasn't an infinite to begin with.

It's like swf. If you listened to this forum you'd think that every second game was swf pro players making a killers life hell. The reality is that most swf is just mates wanting to have fun and usually results in a 4k. These 'pro' swf groups in my experience is something ridiculously small like maybe 1/30 games. Much like your 'infinite', but even then, its more accurate to call it a pseudo-infinite.

Real infinites have been gone a long time now.

The game still has infinites, like Coldwind Farm, Macmillan, BadHam, etc and Balanced Landing only made more with maps like haddonfield. The nerf was very fair IMO.

  • @FearedbytheGods said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/888751#Comment_888751

Well its day one, so people are still finding out about about the changes so 'i still see survivors run it' isn't a great indicator. I know that personally I've gone back to lithe after trying BL a few times.

Also psedo-infinites aren't infinites. If you played at release you'd know what a real infinite is.

a psedo-infinite is still an infinite, even if it's not guaranteed. It's why the word infinite is in it. And i've seen launch gameplay, I've seen the hell of double pallet jungle gyms and every map has 3 infinites. However that doesn't mean any infinite can/should stay in the game.

This. All the CM can do is relate "feedback" too the devs, and it's their choice too ignore us.

  • doesn't mean it is removed though.

  • @DetailedDetriment said:

That's right, Balanced Landing now needs a buff or rework.

With the recent release of the Cursed Legacy chapter, Balanced Landing was tweaked to no longer give the stagger reduction when exhausted. It also removed the noises made when falling and the grunt when landing.

The thing is that the nerf heavily outweighs the buff. Balanced Landing is now the worst exhaustion perk in the game and one of the worst perks in the entire survivor selection. The perk is straight up useless when exhausted, no longer providing a passive.

Now that the nerf is officially in place, the perk needs a buff or rework. What I'm thinking is that the perk should give the stagger reduction and remove the noises made when falling, but the exhaustion aspect of the perk should be completely removed. It is Balanced Landing after all, and only being able to balance your landing once every 40-60 seconds completely contradicts the name. The description of the perk literally says you have cat-like reflexes. Cats don't have a cooldown on stabilizing their landing. Just remove the exhaustion part of the perk and Balanced Landing will be a viable perk again.

It def isn't the worst perk in the entire survivor game, you could argue it's the worst exhaustion perk, but I feel it's finally in a good place. I still see survivors run it and still do well, nothing really changed with it except the infinites you use too be able too abuse it with.

If you read it, you know it takes away the passive ability affect.

Poor legion, the brainchild of last winter, has officially stolen the crown of "Worst Killer" out of Cannibal's chili-covered hands.

I'm not talking about the mending fix -- that was a given. I'm talking about the fact that his main ability gives him nearly no pressure. He's a glorified M1 killer, that lacks even the easy first hit against survivors that know how to camp a pallet. His teachables are all bad, his synergy with most perks is lacking, but most of all, he's not fun to play as OR against.

    Please redeem him.

Legion simply needs an entire rework. No matter how they buff/nerf him he'll either be uncounterable and miserable to fight or he's super weak and miserable too play as. Until he gets the Freddy treatment he's gonna be broken in both aspectst different times.

  • @Vetrathene said:

  • @Mikeasaurus said:

But at the same time, NOED could be the same. DS is for a survivor's one shot at escaping, NOED is the killers one shot at downing them. And, DS is only usable once, where NOED is constant until destroyed. You can't expect Survivors to be left completely defenceless, they need someway to escape. Though, the scenario you had is a horrible one. I've had it many times, and it is annoying to encounter, so don't get me wrong, I'm not defending DS here, just stating that Survivors need a way to at least have a chance to escape beyond wiggle

The difference between NOED and DS though is that NOED has counterplay, which is cleansing. I once downed a person, she got unhooked while I downed and killed 2 other people, found her and grabbed her out of a locker, she then DS'd me and got the hatch. If DS simply ended once someone was hooked then It would be a fine perk, but at the moment it has barely any counterplay and it's a complete "get out of jail free" perk.

"they didnt listen to PTB feedback" yes thats why BoP and Nemesis legion "Old legion" wont come back, well thats clear sign they listen to good feedback from PTB

+ there is a lot of bugs that didnt happened in PTB so how do you expect PTB to solve them?

Old legion and New Legion won't come back now since they nerfed him even harder. But they clearly listen too feedback. Why did rework Nurse still hit live even though most people said she was unfun and frustrating too play?

And I expect there too be bugs but at this point BHVR doesn't test anything they launch. There's simply no way someone internally didn't run into the Basement bug or the Wiggle bug.

That's not what BHVR does, though. Such measures have been suggested during previous mess-ups, but the players and the devs disagree on just how inconvenient this game's inconveniences are.

Whether or not BHVR does something doesn't mean it's not what they should do lol.

  • @TragicSolitude said:

Sometimes the closest hook is the basement, and it's that or have them wiggle free.

I've only hooked one person in the basement so far today, but that was because it was the closest hook. (I also camped them to death because it was EGC and their friend was abusing the speed glitch to hell and back, but that's neither here nor there.) Sometimes you just have to hook someone in the basement.

Also, there are multiple Archive challenges that specifically require hooking in the basement. This bug couldn't have happened at a worse time.

Compensate people when the bug is fixed for the Archive challenges, like give Bloodpoints, Auric cells, Iridescent shards, or Fragments. It's what all other companies do when something messes up.

  • @chase131119 said:

You can't distinguish who abuses the bug and who is not, so there's no way to punish people.

Yes there is, say "hey, there's currently a bug when you hook someone in the basement, don't do that till it's fixed." Then punish those who still do. Really simple tbh and should of been done during the Wake Up bug in 3.0.0

1: Please add commas and break the paragraphs up, this hurts my eyes too read.

2: I do agree that people who played after the events should have a chance too get them, I agree with what @BDS22 said, put them in the store for 400 auric cells like all other event cosmetics. Easy fix. This way those who didn't get the chance have too pay up too get them, and the people who got it during the event won't be (hopefully) mad because they got it for free.

  • @BDS22 said:

I mean they should at least put them in the store to buy since all event cosmetics can be bought now. I mean some people have been unlocking the Halloween cosmetics by grinding hours while others just took a few seconds to get them in the store. It absolutely makes zero sense as to why these items cannot be obtained anymore with how BHVR runs their cosmetic store. If they want to put event cosmetics in the store they all should be in the store, there should be no special exceptions.

    I second this.

My title for this was ''Don't Play Until'' but I changed it because I didn't want to get banned for trying to warn people with a PSA as it would have looked like I was trying to be a troll.

oh mate you don't know the half of it. I just had too leave a game because a person I hooked didn't get hooked, and got stuck on the ground. I couldn't pick her up, she wasn't bleeding out, and even when EGC kicked in and ended she still lived. I had too DC just too end the match, loosing my 4k. I want to see the new map but I've gone to Hawkins, Lery's, and The Game as Oni all day because of people burning offerings.

No. that would be really silly if someone wanted too try Oni on a different map.
