No the facemask wasn't the sole reason it won - the designers chose the skin based on many factors and were aware of what they could/couldn't do with it when they chose the winning design.

I'm not going to comment on why this isn't being implemented, but I don't want false information spread.

So they willingly chose a skin they knew they couldn't make work? or are you saying they didn't know and are trying to cover their mistake?

  • I'm pretty sure Blight is the fastest, but Billy lasts the longest.

Its a video game... What is the world coming to.

Legit. This game is about people trying not too die from the most horrible creatures/people in the multiverse, who cares if Clown takes it in the bum.

  • @JohnShark said:

I haven't heard anyone talk about them for a while now. Are they performing well, so you enjoy play as/agaisnt them. I'm a little curious. (I used to main legion)

Legion still sucks but he's better then Clown.

Buff urban evasion, and other perks that are good against her.

Urban Evasion: 100% faster crouching, cannot get aura revealed while crouching when the killer is within 16m, grunts of pain and breathing are 50% quieter while crouching.

This would make UA more viable in general perk builds, and thus UA would be used more often, slightly nerfing hag in the process.

wait... what other perks are even good vs hag #########.

Hag is fine lol. She has obvious counters and isn't hard too deal with. best advice is too activate as many traps as possible when she's carrying someone so she has to reset them.

Stop trying too nerf killers simply because you don't know counterplay.

  • There's a very slight difference in the early bloodwebs, but come level 50 bloodwebs they're all the same.

  • It might be a bug, but I've gotten the scream too pop up.

Okay, first: don't expect to land hits 24/7. Second, the threat of his Lethal Rush is what makes him good. Third, predict instead of reacting.

I don't expect to land hits 24/7, but I expect the hits too actually work. Also, who cares if his Lethal Rush is a "threat" if it barely lands and is easy too counter? And predicting doesn't matter when you can still predict right and still miss. Sorry mate but he's bad and needs fixing and buffs.

Literally had a player right-angle him through a shack door and floor me before he was on my screen properly about an hour ago. Theres clearly something amiss.

Was he using Compound 7? its a brown addon that makes the Blight face a survivor while rushing.

  • A tier. I truly believe people gave up on Demo way too fast. He's a really solid killer once you know how too play him. I play him at red ranks and besides the occasional death squads he gets consistent wins. I would put him just under Pyramid Head since Pyramid Head can hit over pallets and through walls.

  • On the list it's Clown, but the killer who needs it the most is Legion.

  • I'd use it when I need too farm, but without the aura's it doesn't serve enough of a purpose too be used on a regular basis.

  • @PrincessPoop said:

It makes no sense to me why Hex: Blood Favors needs both a cool down and a hex.... it’s really not strong enough to warrant these downsides imo. Hitting a survivor already gives them a speed boost to travel to another loop and it only blocks pallets within 16m... I feel like all it really needs is the cool down to be balanced.

100% agree. It really makes no sense for it too be a hex totem. As it stands I'll rarely ever run it because it's too situational.

  • @deadbybums said:

Blights have been stomping all the lobbies im in this evening with no trouble at all. If anything hes too fast, gets right up your ass in milliseconds and you can't get away from him. Dont know what youre doing wrong lol but apparently most of the community aren't having any trouble using him.

I'm getting ready to uninstall, hes pissing me right off.

There's literally tons of people saying how bad he is and he needs buffs lol. He's not strong, just that people aren't use too countering him. His power is literally useless if you turn left or right before he Lethal Rushes you and he'll miss if you turn at the right time. He's Billy but worse because he can't get past windows and pallets. If Compound 33 was basekit without the hinderd part of it and could have a turn similar too Oni's he would be much better, but atm he's not good.

I've Been winning most of my matches at rank 1. I hate to keep repeating this, but I'll say it yet again: it's still Day 2. He's a high skill level killer. Much like all the other high skill level killers it's gonna take some time to settle in with the character. It was the same with Billy. And nurse. And Spirit. And Huntress. And Oni. And Deathslinger. Right now we're all using his ability with reckless abandon, testing it to see qhat its limitations are. But using it at appropriate moments is going to be key to playing this killer well.

Also, he's just FUN. I'm sorry if you find him frustrating, but Im having a blast boinking from place to place. Live the dream, buddy.

the argument of "its only day 2, give it time" really doesn't mean much. It doesn't take long for people too go "hey this is pretty bad/good." Day 2 and I already get that he's bad. Even with his best addons he's still gonna struggle against good survivors who know loops and knows how too counter him. It's not gonna take long for people too realise that he is bad. Yes he is fun, but so are most of the bad killers like Deathslinger and Legion. Personally I don't get why he can't be both good and fun, because atm he's just bad.

  • @OldHunterLight said:

Is it? So far the only game that I lost was a 2k, the other 2 escaped death on hook on red forest.

I know survivors play different but he ain't so bad, he is fun to play as the only thing I dislike is his low turning when using the rush, feels like he has a 45° angle.

What rank are you playing in? Because in red ranks he's pretty much useless. If any survivor has ever figured out how to stop Billy then they'll have 0 trouble against Blight. He's too addon dependent and even with his best addons he's still gonna struggle. He'll be untouched in a week if the devs don't mega buff him.

  • The reason the POV is so low is because his head is on his chest because he's a hunchback, but i agree it's way too low and needs too be higher.

Yeah honestly there is no real counter to the soul guard, ds, unbreakable combo.

Hope they going to rework something from those 3 so they can't have that sinergy (or however you write it) anymore.

And personally I think they should because they also did it with the ruin/pop combo.

Eating ds might work in the lower ranks but not as good in the higher ranks.

It cost you to much as killer when you eat the ds.

It can cost you the game as killer, which it will most likely do anyway with that combo.

Leave them on the ground the get up and you need to find them again.

Eat the ds and you get stunned and you need to chase that survivor once again.

So yeah not really something good come out of any decision you make as killer then.

If there's only been 1-2 gens done then eating DS is a good strat. If exit gates are powered then yeah don't but it def isn't bad too eat DS early and leave the survivor down a perk. And I agree Soul Guard + Unbreakable + DS is bs and needs heavy nerfs. I thought the devs learned their lesson with MoM but clearly not. Endurance is too strong a power for perks.

Psst stop letting people know your a killer main .... people will hate you .

Who cares lol. I'm a killer main and I still feel the game heavily favors survivors.

  • I'd like too add some survivor perks, like Unbreakable + Soul Guard and DS.

DS: just eat it. 9/10 the survivor would of wanted it later so the sooner you eat it the less options they have.

Soul Guard + Unbreakable: Wait 8 seconds then hit them.

Adrenalin: Run NOED. Honestly a 4 man Adrenalin doesn't matter when you insta down everyone.

The price of the Lisa Garland skin is $15 and the price of many other top skins is $10. Why do cosmetics cost so much?

Seriously, skins in DBD cost as much as a pie of pizza in my area. At least with the pizza, I won't regret my purchase.

But maybe I'm too selfish, right? Maybe I failed to realize that the DBD community is full of rich members that can afford these skins, ontop of all the DLCs if they want to enjoy the full game.

I just want a nice skin for my claudette, but I don't want to pay so much for something like that.

Usually yes, but the art department at BHVR is the only department I think actually tries. Rarely do those skins fail too look good, and they always try and deliver a skin worth your buck. The Lisa skin is way overpriced but that's out of BHVR hands, that's konami being greedy (which I feel backfired sicne I rarely ever see a Lisa in game.)

I was in a match where the same survivor unhooked with Borrowed Time twice within 30 seconds a bit ago, which made me wonder: Should the perk have a cooldown like most similar perks do? I just want to share my thoughts on this.

As far as the situation goes, leaving it as-is gives the option of free unhooks in tight situations, repeatedly. In my match, the first trigger of it happened by mistake, I was aiming for the unhooking survivor. (Unhooker had a crown, hooked didn't, I'm prioritizing killing crowned survivors.) Second time, the unhooked had a crown as well, and I decided to try to re-down them. Exit gate was open and unhooker didn't have damage because of the previous miss. I figured maybe I could reel them in during BT as Deathslinger. That didn't pan out, I missed my shot, but that's on me.

On the other hand, putting a cooldown in wouldn't do much overall. This was an odd situation, where two survivors were hooked close together after one tried to save the other and failed. How often will the same survivor unhooked twice in even 30 seconds? Plus, it's blatantly an anti-tunnel perk. Tunneling is decidedly an unfun way to play on all sides, and kinda cheap. Only even useful in limited circumstances. So that's a major point toward keeping it as-is.

Thoughts from killers and survivors would be nice on this one.

Borrowed Time is fine as is. If they are going for such unsafe hooks you'll get a free trade every time. Down the BT person, hit the hooked person for the Deep Wounds, and boom you've made massive pressure for the survivors.

Back in the day, it was common that a Wraith would spam his bell, or a billy would spam his chainsaw to announce that it was a farming round.

So, In honor of the event, I thought I would do that again. But everytime the survivors were confused.

So, is farming etiquette dead or are there just a lot of noobs who don't know about it?

Yes. I've never ran into a Billy or Wraith who's farming by spamming chainsaw or bell. Typically the killer just doesn't hurt the survivor's and that's how you can tell they are farming.

I hate farming though, it's incredibly boring and I usually just DC in those games.

I really don't understand why there's a condition to be met for survivor, but not for killer. IMO it should just be to finish a match as either role while holding the crown. Not only that but I don't see why offerings can't spawn in an additional crown, I'd prefer the event be something to bring players together rather than make them even more competitive than they already are.

I agree, survivors should unlock the head piece once they have gotten it, not if they survive or not. Really puts me off from going for the survivor head pieces when I know I may not get it simply because a Bubba chose me too face camp.

@infaredd I understand that its nice to let people hope, but there is a difference between a game/movie that has a consistent story like hellraiser and ones that change every completely every installment to the point of just not being good. The so bad that is irredeemable things shouldn't be in DBD. Unless you mention it as a joke, like how I bring up the Blob from time to time.

Mate Nightmare on Elm Strees, Halloween, and Texas Chainsaw all have done this, where every iteration changes the lore. Hell even Jason does this. FNaF really isn't that different. The only difference is the horrible community that follows it.

Hot take, but Silent Hill doesn't really fit DBD either since Silent Hill changes based on who's in it lol. It's why Pyramid head isn't in every single Silent Hill game.

  • No, just do the totems, it ain't hard lol.

  • Mate there are too many whales still for DBD too die. Give it 5 years when gens still aren't fixed and the game is still a buggy mess and then you'll maybe be right.

I don’t get it. Not everyone has the skill to loop, so why is it bad that a survivor tries their best to stay out of the killers LOS? I mean, as long as they’re doing objectives like working on generators or cleansing totems? Heck, I spend plenty of matches having to traverse the maps to unhook people because people keep getting caught and no one else is trying to save them.

Don’t get me started on the impatient survivors who wiggle their arms at me trying to make me hurry. I’m sorry, I don’t have BT, so I don’t want to unhook you and let the killer farm. Especially when I could still see him or Spinechill is still lit up! You even have survivors who demand I heal them at the hook that I just unhooked them from. Seriously, would it kill you to sneak away to a safer location for me to heal you. Do you live chases so much that you want to leave scratch marks that lead to me healing you? Even when it’s obvious that the killer will come back (Spirit, Hillbilly, Invisible Chicken Legs) they still insist I stay exposed for their sake.

Even the devs seem to not promote it since I could play perfectly and accomplish more goals than anyone else in the match and yet have less blood points because I didn’t get in a chase or hit the killer with every pallet on the map! (After playing killer for a bit, I kinda feel bad to use pallets or blind, I know I shouldn’t, but I do).

More equality for the Bush People please! We deserve respect! We also deserve all the butt rubs you can give!

Thank you for taking the time to read this rant, have a blessed day!

P.S. Devs, I would also like a bush costume like Fortnite provides. It will complete my ascension to full Bushette status.

Simple: Immersed players are usually the ones who don't do ######### all game. They crouch around the map and hide but never unhook or do gens. They run away the second they hear the heartbeat and you'll never see them again.

For killers they are annoying because they just hide all game, so unless you know where they are with a perk you'll rarely ever find them till they are the last alive.

  • @ggezbaby said:

I don’t think gen speeds are the problem, id say placement of gens and map size are the problem.

Map size and gen placements were already changed on most of the larger maps. It didn't do anything. Add 10-20 seconds and make the game fair again.

  • @Todgeweiht said:

no, we can find better ways to solve the current issues killers have by checking maps and the upcoming early game mechanic the devs are going to implement

This is the better way. 10-20 seconds is not even that bad, sometimes you gotta eat the bullet for better game health, killers did it with Ruin, survivors can do it with an extra 10-20 seconds.

  • @GoshJosh said:

After over three years and 2.3k+ hours, I have never felt more 'meh' about loading up and playing DbD. The amount of bugs that are introduced or never fixed, the player voices that go unheard or unaddressed about severe balance or gameplay issues, the list goes on...

I know it's a different set of developers, but the below screenshot just about sums it up for me. Rather than doing something about the boring and hostage-esque face-camping of the game (which exists on all platforms), the mobile devs take the time to make this loading screen 'tip' - which gives credence to the gameplay style and basically says to let your teammate die. Don't be altruistic, don't give that player another chance inthe trial... let the killer set up a tent and get a free kill. Such a boring situation with little or no counterplay, when Borrowed Time doesn't trigger on half your killers now or Bubba/ranged/small heartbeat killers.

Please make your game a more enjoyable and fair experience for all players.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/15JIB0M777NO/dbd-mobile-camping-prompt.jpg

The devs have a point though. I agree that they are losing touch with the community, but the example you gave is weak sauce.

If the killer is camping then do gens and force his hands. Nothing else you can do. If you start punishing killers for camping you'll make it too easy too abuse as survivor. If they just keep rushing hook and making the killer stay near, the killer is being punished for the survivors playing bad. That's not fair. It's like spawn camping in FPS games, the devs can only do so much about it because it's not against the rules, but you can't punish people for it because sometimes you have too spawn camp.

A better example would be the constant sound bugs that the devs never fix, they just keep bandaid fixing and hope it works for another patch. Or how ridiculously fast gen speeds are going and still no change is in sight.

Konami said so, that's why. My guess is they wanted their DLC too be special from the others so they made BHVR go with the Legendary outfits.

I just got mori'd after being sent to a cage. If hook perks don't work with cages, neither should mori which requires hooks.

"Grants the ability to kill one/all Survivors who have been hooked by your hand during the next Trial."

This is the exact description for Ivory/Ebony. It's honestly bull ######### this even works.

Personally I feel keys and mori's need reworks entirely. They both cuck the other side with little counterplay.

  • @BigBrainMegMain said:

Nurse is one of the killers that exceeds at the map.

But that's it...he has a good point. You have to traverse 3 or 4 rooms to get upstairs, or take the stairs. I've had to do this several times yesterday and I lost 2 gens that way.

Pyramid Head does need buffs. I've been playing him since release and well....his Range power is completely useless.

The new map is very weird with the layouts, but in time it'll get better, people just need too get use too it.

As for PH, yeah his range attack needs some mega buffs. I hate the fact that the only time I can get it too work is when the survivor is vaulting or doesn't have LOS.

  • I think it's for people who participated in either the survey or the PTB, one of the two.

  • I'm pretty sure it's a bug because it doesn't look intentional. It looks like half the crow is yellow and I highly doubt BHVR would do this if it was intentional.

  • Ugh, another of these posts.

1: Cages don't activate hook based perks. Good, It changes up the Meta and makes him a very interesting and fun killer. Because it's a two way street, when he cages someone the survivor can't use DS or Borrowed, but the killer can't use Pop or BBQ. Run different perks that won't be effected by hooks.

2: If PH is running too caged people once he cages them, don't go too the caged person. It's no different then if the killer is camping a hook, do gens and force his hand.

He doesn't need any nerfs, if anything his ranged attack needs a buff. It's so bad and it only works for mindgames at loops. If it was less predictable he'd be a truly great killer.

  • @Desh said:

And that's the risk of it. PH breaks the Meta better than Freddy by using a Power that instantly "hooks" people. It's a fun change because it requires you to run new and creative builds. I don't really see what the issue is.

This. Because while PH can't gain BBQ, Pop Goes, etc survivors also can't gain DS, Borrowed Time, etc. Also you won't be cageing every time you can, you should save it for when you need too apply instant pressure without loosing momentum hooking people. It's a very strong ability as long as you know how too use it.

heres a tip, if you can "outplay" the killer by holding W and just run laps around the map, theres a serious issue

except you can't lol. Literally every map could be played like this, they aren't because it doesn't work. Even when I've run into a survivor who just holds w they don't keep me occupied for more then a minute.

While that's great and all for general movements, you can't crouch while preforming a channel. So that wouldn't save you if it were right up against a gen, hence why it can't be.

Maybe it could be a smaller distance. But having a limitation of some kind for this makes sense.

Not talking about being on gens, im saying just crouch past it when it's blocking the exit gates on maps like lerys.

    t. Ash Main

Eh, it's too situational. especially with the new perk Force Penance, you risk so much for something that may never even happen in the game. I'd much rather run DS or OoO for an obsession perk since I know I'll get use out of both of them in the match. MoM can be good, but if it's only good 1/10 matches then why bother.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

You can't just compare Hag Trap or Trapper's Trap to Torment of Trail...

The Limitations are there for a REASON...

    • Hooks & Generators = Imagine surrounding an entire gen with your power and now everyone is afflicted by torment, no need to use your brain
    • Same thing with Exit Gates and Hatches = Imagine you're in a 1v1 but no... the killer put Trails of Torment around the exit gates, now whenever you try to open he'll know instantly where you are cause he'll get an audio que + a visual que of your heartbeat that you are there.
    • Mainly it's to avoid having a very scummy playstyle...
    • However there are loopholes around this, and I thought of only 2 maps so far. Lery's and Hawkins. Just put the Trail of Torment when you get out of Lery's hospital in the doorway. Or in the hallways on Hawkins.

I mean, the main loophole is just crouch lol. it seems a lot of people don't know, but if you crouch you don't gain Torment, so if you're on Lerys or Hawkins you just crouch and he won't know.

So why did i buy it?

I love Lisa! An tbh i thought her stance was going to be in game as well but oh well

I don't know what you expected, they didn't even give Legion unique voices either, so I didn't expect it from Lisa as well. It clearly had an effect though because all day I've run into 2 Lisa's.
