I find Deathslinger too be 100% more satisfying then Demo or Huntress. Any time I hit a shot it feels so damn good.

The last 3 killers have been underwhelming at best, Oni is awful and Demogorgon was a big letdown. The new guy at least looks supercool, been watching streams and he's pretty weak
Demo is super underrated, Oni was really weak after his nerf, but that was 3 months ago so IDK how he works nowadays, and the new guys needs some tweaks but he could be a good killer.
Design wise they all look amazing, but gameplay wise the killers have gotten weaker and weaker, especially sicne they all have been nerfed week 1 for little too no reason.

what? I'm from America LOL

2 weeks after the PTB, so on the 4th if there aren't any delays.

I'm not because every killer that has come out has been nerfed within a week, even if it wasn't needed, so I'll wait for his eventual nerfs before I consider buying him.

How am I supposed to complete 4 gens in one match?
The only thing I could possibly think of is getting 3 other people in a party and telling them to just ignore gens and keep the killer away from me. But, even then, I'd just have to hope that the killer stays occupied with them instead of wandering off to get me.
Even if it's like the last one, where I only have to be on the gens when they get finished, RARELY do I have friends who'd just 99 each gen for me. And it's not like randoms are going to do it. I can't blame them either.
Has anyone even completed this yet? I already finished all the killer challenges.
As for Fight Back, isn't this one all just complete luck?
Most killers I face don't run enduring builds like I do, so they pretty much all respect every pallet. It's looking like my only chance here is to find a killer who offers to farm or something and hope for the best.
And this isn't even scratching the 2 impossible killer challenges. The devs really haven't learned a thing from Tome 3. They keep implementing luck based challenges and it's just a chore too earn them instead of skill.

I know that the ongoing bugs may have initially deterred you from implementing the penalties on the players that DC, but this has been a long time coming - and no amount of bugs can stop the fact that certain players abused DC far too much for it to be funny anymore.
No more excuses for X thing for a DC now, which is finally a relief to my eyeballs. Just wanted to take the time to thank the devs for giving me one less thing to get angry about when I'm playing Killer/Survivor from now on. At least dying on first hook still gives Killer the progress that they need toward pipping as part of sacrificing, as well as preventing Survivors from going into what was a losing from very early on towards the start of a trial if a player simply didn't like playing against the Killer, e.g. Legion Scapegoat Epidemic.
I'm just hoping that the tests will prove as positive as I hope for them to be. 😁
I'd agree if it wasn't for the fact it can be avoided by killing yourself on hook.

M1 killer with 110% mov speed, has teleports but by the time you teleport to a triggered trap (if it's triggered at all) the survivor has quite a head start and the chase lasts FOREVER with this movement speed.
The only viable playstyle I've worked out is.. camping for a 1-2k game. Against SWF, no chance.
This is absolutely the worst killer I've played so far, even Trapper is much more useful.
Anyone got any strategies for the Hag that don't involve camping and might be viable against SWF? They can loop me nearly forever with this mov speed. Only solo players fall for the traps.
Don't take this the wrong way, but you don't have enough Hag experience. Hag is a top tier killer, and the only reason she isn't viable is because she's so hard countered by flashlights.
Hag's traps give her incredible map pressure, and can give a free hit or end a chase if placed right, her small Terror Radius and Size when paired with Monitor makes her incredibly sneaky, and she has the added bonus of normal M1 killer besides speed (which can be fixed by an addon.)
Hag is not someone you can just pick up, she takes a lot of practice before she gets good.

Just watched it through. The killer got two hooks and then never downed anyone after that. The generators weren't the problem there, they have no reason to do anything but generators unless the killer stops them from doing them. Four slowdown perks will only help so much if you're not stopping them from doing generators in the first place.
How could he? No one could do any better in this situation. It's simply not physically possible too down/hook people and pressure gens when the survivors only hold M1. This wasn't the killer playing bad, it was survivors abusing gen speed too end games faster then they should. The problem is gen speeds, they need changes. No game should end in 5 mins unless the killer is afk.

I'm not sure if I'm watching the same video, but I saw the generators done in about 7:20, with the last survivor escaping roughly ten minutes in. That's not exactly a short match. You win some, you lose some. The killer lost in this one.
Ok, what about this video then? At least half my games are like this even with 4 slow down perks at red ranks. Gen speeds are a major issue and need too be addressed.

It doesn't matter what you do, the toxic players always show how low they are. If the killer doesn't follow the Survivor Rulebook it gets nasty
Example:
- Mori = DC
- Protecting almost finished gens = toxic messages
- Hooked twice in a row = toxic messages
- Strong killer add-ons = DC and/or toxic messages
- Killer plays fair = toxic messages and/or constant teabagging
- Killer has a bad game = toxic messages
- Survivor unhooks two seconds when the killer is about to leave and the killer returns = toxic messages
- Play a strong killer = toxic messages
- Survivor uses flashlight to blind a killer on a pallet multiple times
- Survivors hook bomb you and call you then a camper & tunneler
and so on.
Seriously, this community for most part is just disgustingly toxic. Sure, killer players can also be toxic, but out of 10 toxic survivors you may get 1 or maybe 2 toxic killers. Personally I don't consider moris toxic. They're just a bit annoying to a certain extend. But mostly they are thrilling to go against. I also don't consider flashlight saves toxic, but I do consider constant blinding toxic.
On the other side I see nothing, absolutely nothing, from BVHR against this. Why? They need to finally condone these actions. It hurts the game. On the other hand we have streamers who became Fog Whisperers and some of them try to talk sense into the community. Unfortunately there are still toxic FW and they shouldn't be allowed to continue being a FW.
Funny side note: Here on the forum most players seam to be really nice guys/girls. But in the game they show their true faces. What can you do, right?
I urge BHVR to finally speak up on their streams (e.g. Developer Updates) for the health of this game.
Because the game is very competitive with no room for casual play, so it breeds a competitive and toxic environment.
And there's very little repercussions for being toxic, the reporting system just doesn't work and no one gets banned, the game being super cheap also lets people be toxic, and when they eventually get banned after 10 years they can just re buy it and go right back too being toxic.

How would you feel about a direct mettle of man buff?
MoM is fine right now, it's effect is way too strong for it too be anything else. The problem is that they need too fix protection hits and make it more consistent.

Agreed, it's not like it wasn't easy too counter if the killer read it, so I'm not sure why they removed it. I guess it was considered as much a bug as Oni's flick.

Just a month later of getting announced that exclusives wouldn't be exclusives anymore, we get these for mobile, or at least only the ones who can play it in their country, that's how it becomes exclusivity.
One of the reasons why exclusives got free on everywhere, was because consoles couldn't get any way to get them, only available by PC keys and steam inventory trade. This problem is back again but now on mobile.
In the comunication, it said there was a part were it said that these cosmetics is a present for the ones who supported the beta test, but, just in the same text, it said that the launch should have already arrived and it got delayed to 2020, so there's no way that instead if working on the game, devs decided to make 4 new skins in a very little period of time, so it's more likely that these skins weren't suposed to be a gift for the beta testers.
And to end, I would like to ask why mobile dbd is getting these skins and not consoles and pc too. In those platforms we paid for the game, and for event cosmetics we had to gain them in events if we wanted them for free instead for 10$ each outfit, but now in mobile you can play for free and get these cosmetics fully free without gaining them ingame or doing something for. Just logging up.
Different dev team, different motto's. Plus we don't know if those skins will be returning or not next year, so it's not really exclusive.

Because it's how dedicated servers work, the only way too lag everyone on a dedicated server is too hack into the servers themselves. Grow up man
OP still has a point with gen rushing and horrible map design. And saying "X thing got nerfed." doesn't hold up when you realize the thing that was broken has been in the game for years. Map design is still aweful, Legion and Oni didn't need nerfs, Nurse basekit change was horrible, and things that do nerf survivor usually take years for progress too be made.

Legion nerf wasn’t a nerf but instead was a balance.
No, it was a straight up nerf. Loosing M1 hits on Frenzy and the massive buffs too deep wounds outway the slightly faster MS and faster vault speeds. And if this wasn't bad enough on the PTB, they nerfed him even more on live, making Deep Wound never go down while sprinting. He got nerfed into oblivion and I can't see it any other way.

No. It's not. Any veteran of the title with anything between their ears will not only laugh in your face, but tell you how horribly, grossly, and unbelievably wrong you are.
It's about as casual as a game as you can find - whether or not you take it seriously enough to get the nonsense idea that it's somehow a competitive game. A game with two separate sides competing and easily obtainable levels does NOT a competitive game make. The devs have gone on record and stated they make most balance changes with a casual mindset instead of a competitive one. Only competitive thing about it is a pretty number in the top right for your e-peen to grow a little bit.
It has a competitive flair to it, but no, it's not competitive one bit.
A: stop being toxic and chill. No need too be rude.
B: If this game wasn't competitive why is everything ranked based, with rank reset? If the game was only casual then the game wouldn't have a ranks. You can play how ever you want, but the game is competitive.
-
@The_Second_Coming said:

It is absolutely a competitive game, it's why it's ranked only. And how is Ranked and Quick Match options over complicating it? It's too different modes pretty much all games have.
The game needs a Quick Match mode. I hate being in red ranks and getting nothing but sweaty survivors who hold M1 and end games in 5 mins. I want too have fun in this game, not sweat. Add a ranked reward and a Quick Match mode and a lot of people would return IMO.

Not everyone was happy with it, and when it comes to balance that's not how you make decisions anyway. They put a lot of work into designing the Oni and tried to make him as balanced as possible. An unintended extra ability is going to throw all that off, and that's why they removed it.
And if I had to guess, I'd say that they fixed what they thought was the problem after the PTB, but then people found a way to keep "flicking" regardless, so they had to revisit it again. That seems like the most likely explanation to me, but I'm not a developer so I can't say for sure. And since you seem determined to believe that they're trying to pull the wool over our eyes, you probably wouldn't believe me even if I were.
Not true. I would believe it if there was proof, but the whole thing is sketchy too me. It simply doesn't make sense too nerf an unintended mechanic the devs were going too remove anyway, why not simply remove it from the start?
-
@Fibijean said:
They weren't waiting for people to buy The Oni before they removed the flick. They have said from the start of his PTB, publicly and on multiple occasions, that the flick was unintended and would be removed at some point. Everyone who bought him had access to that information in advance.
I don't believe it. No development studio nerfs a "bug" unless it's suppose too be a mechanic. The fact they made it worse for live versions from the PTB version tells me it isn't a bug.

The legion got changed due to consistency. Eg sloppy shouldnt be applied by something other than normal M1 attack. Many addons got a buff and a nice change and I dont think bE are done with legion yet. Overexaggeration wont bring good. I like the way the changes for legion went so far. Imo it is good they change him step by step. Maybe it is not good for you, but keep in mind not everyone shares the same opinion.
I am also not happy with the current nurse but I understand why they changed her. Overall I think it was the right decision to overwork her addons. Im not a fan of her basekit changes what makes her unfun for me. Still the "new" nurse isnt live for that long, so I understand when the devs want to wait and monitor. I dont see any problem with the oni. And to say that the devs ignore the community is just not true. Im sorry if you feel that way. We dont share this experience.
Like I said, only because a community wants something doesnt mean it gets implemented or will work out fine. Where did they lie about oni? It was in the patchnotes that it doesnt work as intented.
Using consistency as a reason doesn't pan out when killers like Wraith and Nurse's M1 from their abilities still count as M1 hits, so why was Legion the one that got the nerf? Even still, the reason "it caused too much confusion" is weak since it was pretty obvious why Expose didn't work on Legion's Frenzy. And the buffs he did get do not outway the horrible nerfs too his M1 and the massive buff too Deep Wound. Legion is considered worse then Bubba by the majority of the community, and the fact people have been begging for Legion buffs only for him too be nerfed is silly.
Nurse's addons did need a rework, no one is arguing that fact, but the horrible nerfs too the basekit are my problem. The fact they ignored the community completely, then nerfed her most used addons on the PTB too live and have never touched her since, even when people wanted her reverted.
Onis' flick was never a bug. It was on the PTB, then they nerfed it when it went live, and are now saying it's a "bug." Why would you nerf a mechanic you were never going too keep? if you could alter the numbers from PTB too live, then they clearly wanted it as a mechanic. You don't nerf/buff a bug unless you want is as an actual mechanic in-game.
After all the changes the devs keep making too killers when few people have asked for them is a clear sign too me they don't listen too the community. Legion has been a killer everyone wanted buffed, instead they nerfed him. Nurse is someone who needed an addon rework, which both sides mostly agreed on, and they completely butchered her base kit. They didn't even listen too the archives until it went live, even though many people kept saying it was too hard at higher levels too complete. They only changed it because few people could actually complete them. The only change in recent time that the devs listen too the community is with Spirit, making her more fair too fight but not changing how strong she is, everything else has been a trainwreck IMO.

I don't know who "Tru3" is and he isn't weak, he is only weak if you ring around a rosie with one survivor for the entire game.
Tru3 is a DBD content creator who made Wraith as viable as he thought he could, which made everyone play Wraith that way. If you don't go that build though Wraith is incredibly easy too deal with. He is just an M1 killer who, depending on addons, can get 1 free hit on 1 person. Running Spine Chill completely destroyes Wraith and all stealth killers, so nerfing him and making an already weak killer weaker would make Wraith another Legion.

They have consistently said since it was first pointed out with Oni's release on the PTB that the flick was unintended and that they were planning to remove it. They were never happy with him in that regard, it was always considered a bug, and they have said so since the beginning. There was no deception there.
If they intended too remove it, then why did they nerf it from PTB too launch? Simply put it was deception because you don't nerf a bug, it doesn't make sense. If you can change a bug then they simply should of removed it then and there.
Even if it was a bug, with how happy everyone was too it they should of just left it be and refined it, not remove it almost entirely.

I've been playing wraith a lot recently at rank 1, i am 4k'ing literally every game and he is dominating it seems, I think he needs a nerf because other killers might start catching on and he will become a meta killer. He should be nerfed now before he really starts to over-preform. What I think would be a good nerf idea is if his addons were nerfed, many of them stack and can lead to downright broken combinations if played correctly, plus he has wallhack addon which literally have no drawback, if his addons were nerfed I think that would make him a LOT more balanced as playing against him as survivor unless you are running spine-chill honestly you stand very little chance against a good wraith. This is honest feedback I hope BHVR can take into consideration, please any thoughts and comments are appreciated.
No. Wraith doesn't need a nerf in anyway. he's already a weak killer if you aren't using Tru3's build, and even with his build he can struggle against optimal survivors. So many killers are getting nothing but nerfs, there is no need for any more.

This analogy makes no sense. How is Legion getting nerfed into oblivion good for us? How is the devs ignoring the community and nerfing Oni and Nurse good for us?
There are times where the devs do ting the community doesn't want for the better, like the Spirit changes, but that doesn't apply here. They took a weak killer (Legion) and then nerfed him for a bad reason. Oni was fine, everyone loved him and they were happy with him, and they nerfed him anyway and are lying about it, saying it was a "bug."

One: many people said he was OP, there was at least one discussion a day on the forums saying he was too strong.
Two: The current flick is pretty worthless. only being bale too turn 30 degrees too the left or right at the end of the swing is useless since most survivors already dodged it.
Three: Why nerf Oni because of bad hitboxes when the devs should fix the hitboxes?

I'm not saying the stats are bad or shouldn't be discussed, I'm saying that they should be discussed with context and in a polite manner.
Not you, devs have. They've said "don't use the stats for balance discussions" but then say "use them too have discussions." And the stats themselves are pointless because they didn't take any factors into account like DC's, Perks, SWF, and they even mixed console and PC stats, making it even more pointless.
-
@AAAAA said:
I'd just like to ask everyone to stop invoking the statistics BHVR released as the final authority on everything. BHVR said to take those stats with a grain or salt, and now it seems like any time someone brings up the stats the thread devolves into an argument over how accurate the stats are and what they REALLY mean.
My proposal is: don't make stats the backbone of your argument, use it as supporting evidence. For example, don't say "the stats show Freddy is the strongest he needs to be nerfed", try making a specific suggestion or comment, like "Forever Freddy needed the nerf; it was unfun for survivors and rewarded lazy play for the killer. And this won't make Freddy unplayable, the stats suggest he's performing well enough."
Basically, don't turn a good discussion into a flame war over stats.
@Peanits said:
Amen.
then they shouldn't of released it. The point of stats is too create discussions, so what's the point of releasing stats when the devs keep saying "don't talk about the stats." The stats are inaccurate and shouldn't of been released in the first place as it has only cause confusion.

you have to be asleep for freddys traps to work and trapper using his traps like that would be cheap and OP. st least with hags traps she cant prevent you from getting away, I think what your missing is the fact that trappers traps demobilize survivors. freddys snairs only slow them down while hags only allows her to teleport. and her traps are easy to get rid of you just need to shine your flashlight on them.
Again, Body Block Hag demobalize as well since it blocks pallets, vaults, and doors. Plus if you run small game you are told where the traps are, so you can avoid them or activate them. It really would not be as OP as you think it would be.

and your point about that only would be one person doesnt matter , majority of the time you aren't playing with a SWF so nobody is going to run and try and disarm thetrap while you're in a chase.
Doesn't matter if it's SWF or not, a coordinated team will pop the traps while one person is running the trapper around, wasting the Trappers time since he has too reset them.

Body Block Hag does this already. Plus his Traps can be destroyed and taken out of the game, unlike Hags or Freddys. It really wouldn't be as OP as it sounds since his Traps are so easy too counter.

I think hes pretty good, if you can nail his sprint and keep pressure,
what's a 6 flap?
instead of a 6 pack, it's 6 fat rolls.

If the average player in this game and average commentator on this forum had your ability to rationalise. This game would be in a much better place I suspect, 10/10 would read again.
except for the fact those stats are incredibly inaccurate as it doesn't take any factors into account, they even merged the PC and console stats, making it even more pointless.

Why do you pc folk read that chat? I'm not trying to be sarcastic or obnoxious here. People can be toxic jerks and if it bothers you, just leave. Don't even give people the chance.
Because not every game is this, a lot of them are but some are wholesome.
