Ok jack the ripper is morally ok because fun fact he killed prostitutes who never had children therefore no family and Vlad the impaler was the inspiration for Dracula would u not want Dracula in dbd

bruh you actually said that its morally ok too have an actual murderer in game because he killed prostitutes, just stop lol.

Why is the title "Hex: Ruin"?

Anyway, Gens are boring, why not a more interactive way to longer the matchtime?

It doesn't matter if it's boring or not tbh, gen speeds need too be increase for better game health. End of the day people just gotta eat the bullet so the game is better. Not every killer can/will pressure gens like Billy, Huntress, or Spirit, they need more time too get too gens.

See I'm just curious I've played this game since Myers was added if I'm remembering correctly and honestly after all my time of play both killer and Survivor granted I played way more of killer due to when I first started I started with a group of friends so we could enjoy learning together but for me while I play Survivor I don't know what it is but I hate going against a ghost face not complaint he is op or anything tbh don't play him couldn't say for sure but everytime I see him he just destroys my confidence unless I notice he doesn't know to crouch or stalk then another story and for killer I hate seeing three ppl body block me from a hook it makes me laugh but at the same time jokingly I'm like I hate you lol but what is everyone else's thoughts and feelings?

Gen rushing. Tired of no matter how well I do I loose because the devs are too scared of survivors too increase gen times.

  • @Kycer said:

He is my most favorite killer to play as and against and I don’t think he is op at all. Just don’t be out-positioned when he catches you and loop him like an m1 killer.

    woooosh.

So it's okay to profit from real life inspiration that so many horror media creators have used as well? Pretty much just as bad to use inspiration from any real event for your own personal use and profit because it's "disrespectful to the victims." That's what we call double standards and you'll never sell me on that as it's pretty much the same concept.

Anyone other than Jack the Ripper being added would have backlash, yes. But as I said, do me a favor and check how the Assassin's Creed and Identity V communities and consumers were like when JTR was introduced as a playable character. People liked the character and enjoyed playing as him for the most part. The same thing would happen in DBD, my friend.

Just because no one gave backlash too JTR doesn't mean it's not super disrespectful mate. That's just a lazy excuse. End of the day it's not ok too put any actual murderers into the game. No one wants Ted Bundy or John Wayne Gacey as killers, JTR is no exception. I'm not replying anymore because if you can't see how horribly disrespectful it is then you're lost lol.

  • I approve this Yee Haw.

There is way too much going on with the power. There are too many ideas all coming together to become a confusing mess. It seems like 5 different killers mashed up into one, which if that was the idea I commend you, however, it is still too much. The perks seem a bit overpowered and could use some ironing out.

This. His power is way too damn confusing and way too damn complicated. Plus if i have too go too alters just too counter certain things then I'm loosing tons of pressure on gens and survivors.

Edit: plus what you are describing isn't even a shamen, it's a skin walker, a person who can shapeshift. A better idea for a shaman killer is too have different totems on the map that give a buff/nerf when used, so one gives you insta downs but you move slower, or one lets you move faster but your other actions are slower.

I havn't heard any information on when the update is coming to live servers.

Also, is he worth getting? He looks like a lot of funt o play and I had fun playing him in the few matches I was able get as killer in the PTB. But I also thought the same thing about the legion and ended up regretting getting his DLC.

anytime a PTB is open, the DLC will go live 2 weeks later. Unless some horrible bug is found and it must be delayed, so for Deathslinger it's the 3rd.

You can say the same thing about using inspiration as well (i.e. Leatherface). That's your opinion, but the fact is that those games have proven Jack the Ripper can be added 100%. While you may not want him, many others like myself do, he's an English gentleman with a very intimidating and mysterious aura around him. You can't really glorify the actual person behind the Ripper persona because no one figured out who he was. Btw the families of the canonical 5 Ripper victims either don't exist or are unaware that they are related today.

And that's an excuse too profit off the tragedy, because the family didn't know they were related? Sorry, but if Joker was getting backlash from families who lost people at the batman shooting then I highly doubt they would be ok with adding jack the Ripper or Ted Bundy. It's just not ok morally.

Obviously, I'm super glad the game is finally getting actually balanced and not just nerfed, but if we're talking about balance, what needs to be balanced/nerfed? In my opinion, keys need to be nerfed, as right now they're just frustrating as killer if the survivor knows where the hatch is. I think give the keys a use time that correlates to their rarity, like a green key is a 3 second use time and a red key is a 1 second use time. That way it prevents survivors from just teabagging the hatch until the killer is right there. In terms of killers, oh god. I just don't know where to start.

But I want your opinions, as the community is always talking about balance, but rarely specifying.

Gen speeds need too be increased. No one likes the idea but people have just gotta eat the bullet too give killers more time too pressure gens. Sometimes you gotta just take the hit for better game health.

  • @TerminatorGuy said:

I'd love Jack the Ripper in DBD. He could be added 100% without a doubt and him ALONE. He was a playable character in games such as AC Syndicate and even Identity V(which dbd devs helped make). People absolutely liked him in both games and the response was from their communities were pretty positive.

No, as @Rezblaze put it, why would you immortalize these real life monsters? have some respect too those who died and lost loved ones.

at last, I can rest easy knowing that I no longer have to make forum posts for awareness.

265 days, after 200 and muddafricking 65 days, Adam is finally getting an outfit.

Thank you BHVR, for not leaving Adam in the dust.

Enjoy waiting another 265 days for another outfit lol.

Except Clown don't end chase quickly but force pallet drop. Clown is a bad killer because of that reason, While his power sound like the most OP anti-loop power in the game it's not the case.

Clown really isn't given enough credit, with proper perks he can be a monster too try and loop, because if he forces you too drop all the pallets early on then you have no defense against him later on.

  • @Mert_MK said:

Not just you. It sucks doing it because the killer is just going to tunnel you for having a key and on top of that, finding the hatch can be really hard on some maps after finishing the required amount of gens.

Going against survivors doing the challenge as Killer is awful too, keys almost every lobby.

Level 4 has a challenge that requires the Killer to mori survivors too.

Idk what tf they're thinking tbh or even listen at all.. people complain about keys and mori's a lot and now they basically promote unfun gameplay from both sides by making players use this broken stuff.

And too think getting 4 basement kills was bad lol.

  • Quentins my fav as well, second one is Bills.

  • @ZoneDymo said:

ermmm we are all very aware of that tbh.

And? still a cool fact that not everyone knows lol.

  • There's so much they could do with legion tbh. What I know for sure is that his power (if reworked) needs too include the entire Legion gang. No point in calling him Legion because atm it's just too sell cosmetics.

I'd prefer if he could switch between the Legion memebers, each having a different small power that all have some use Example: Frank could Vault pallets at a slower rate too hit survivors, while Juilie could Throw her Knife at survivors too injure them, but she must pick up the knife or switch members.

They could also give different cosmetic loadouts for each member so you can feel like you're own Legion gang, which could be unique too you and you alone.

  • Mori's are fine, but they should be on second hook instead of first, Keys just need to be removed until you can grab survivors again. Keys are just super unfair because they are literal get out of jail free cards, it takes no skill or thought too use them.

  • OP. Insta heals were removed, there was no reason too add it as a perk.

  • Never seen a Hellraiser movie, but everyone wants him so I'm down if he gets in. Personally would rather Jason or Xenomorph get in, but I'm not against Hellraiser.

  • @GrootDude said:

    She is still good though.

She would be if she didn't have 800 bugs that hamper her.

  • I've come back for 2 days and haven't played on the new lery's, but Hawkins is just so much fun for me (killer main). The loops are strong if a survivor plays them right but not completely uncounterable like other maps.

  • ######### it, sounds cute af.

  • @Paldanari said:

Alien and Predator sound good but Predator would be another invisible character and there are enough of those. I think there needs to be a Jason Vorhees with a camp setting.

Plus predator doesn't make too much sense since they aren't cold blooded killers, they are trophy hunters, and only hunt worthy prey at that. A bunch of humans running around with no weapons or ways too defend themselves aren't worthy.

  • I would rather Carnage then Venom since Carnage is a cold blooded killer and psychopath, Venom at least tries too be good.

Xenomorph would be a super bad ass DLC since we got the Demogorgon, he pretty much opened the flood gate too have anything humanoid in the game.

  • As a survivor who only solo que's, its super unfun too get bad teammates who never help or do gens, or get a tunneling killer who bum rushes you even when you have DS.

  • I'd love full cross progression but it simply isn't possible with the license killers. If the game was all original then it would be easier but since Switch doesn't even have Leatherface and companies make more money if everything is seperate, it won't happen. At the very least they could make bloodpoints, rank, and non licensed skins cross play.

  • 100% survivor sided. If the survivors want too be coordinated you'll never kill more then 1 person and games will last 5 mins, even on Spirit. The game needs too be more killer sided since it's a 1v4 and an asymmetrical horror game.

Low tier killers needs buffs as well, Cannibal and Legion need entire reworks tbh.

  • Yes. Even Last Year has Bi weekly updates, and they try and make changes that the community wants. BHVR just releases rushed content for money and only ever fixes the most broken things, so exploits that are found are just left in the game, which is just dumb for a 3 year old game.

  • I wouldn't unless the devs stopped being so greedy and actually made an attempt too balance towards red ranks. It would also let the devs fix the hitboxes and make them not pills.

  • No, it doesn't effect survivors in the slightest because i can still just suicide on my first hook in 10 seconds. Only thing it does is keep killers in games, which just makes killer even less fun because you are now stuck inside a super toxic game (potentially) and can't leave.

  • @MigrantTheGreat said:

Are you aware of the fact that Canniable is based off of a real killer? Granted he is from the Texas Chainsaw Massacre, but those movies are based of a real murderer named Ed Gein aka Leatherface

Pretty sure that was faked too increase PR for the movie. I may be wrong though.

  • @ViciouscirceBU said:

So what if instead of just movie killers and ones then devs made up. Why not killers based off real life serial killers. Example, the zodiac killer, vald the impaler, Elizabeth Bathory. I can come up with there powers almost instantly. Idk what do you guys think

No, That would be super disrespectful too those who lost family too those killers, too then see the murderer as a 7$ DLC.

  • @Anthony151201 said:

Chucky is too small, I don't know why this is an option.

Have you not seen the massive chucky costume? That would be a horrifying killer too fight.

  • FNAF would be funny because the forums, twitter, and reddit would be a complete war zone and I find that amusing. I'm not against FNAF nor for it.

The licensed killer I want is Xenomorph/Ripley combo.

Non licensed would be a Werewolf or Knight killer, That would be super bad ass IMO.

  • Literally everything that's in the vote, along with better optimization and color blind mode. Also give balance changes as well. There's so much the devs need too do but don't because they are happy with the bare minimum.

  • He needs too spawn with all his traps, He's the only trap based killer who doesn't spawn with all his tools. I shouldn't have too go across the map too pick up my power. Could you imagine if Freddy had too run across the entire map too pick up blood pools just too drop them? Trapper is outdated and needs a massive buff too bring him back.

  • Oni, it would be demo if I could hear it under the Demo's constant foot steps and roars of good boi.

  • Please change the struggle mechanic @Almo. No one wants arthritis at 30 or have too go buy new keyboards because of the mechanic.

  • @kidmaxx said:

The point? Because for most (non-toxic) players it ruins the game for everyone when you DC. Survivors most certainly lose, killer probably won't pip. It becomes pointless. So, DC penalties exist to prevent people (like you) who frequently leave from ruining the game for others.

There's no point when you can just die on hook 5 seconds into the match and avoid the penalty anyway. The DC penalty does nothing but punish killers when they are in a toxic game and don't want too deal with the survivors.

  • I mean, it could be worse. It could of been a double pallet jungle gym next too tree next too TL wall lol. (yes I've seen it happpen, it's hell.)

  • @TAG said:

That would be a nice QoL change in the wake of the changes to sabotaging hooks. Could be base kit, could be given to Iron Grasp, could be given to Mad Grit. It would simply be nice to see the progress instead of having to count to ten grunts to gauge the progress.

Not really needed, if it takes longer then 7 seconds too get too a hook you know they are about too wiggle off. This would be more pointless and just fill the hud up.

  • @OrangeJack said:

What is the least stressful killer for you?

Doesn't necessarily mean your strongest killer or the one you get the most kills/wins with

None. Unless you go with a meme build and intending too not win you'll always stress and be sweaty because of the survivor power role the game has.

  • @xllxENIGMAxllx said:

Badham is a good map tho. As the rest yes there are unbalanced for killer but, well survivors experience first it's the reason why lery was reworked instead of other maps. Lery was one of the most deadly maps for survivor.

Now lery have many pallet and windows.

to be fair it always had 800 windows, and if RNG was feeling frisky it would spawn infinites.

  • No. People should voice their opinions on the new chapter, doesn't matter how they feel about it.

  • @Peanits said:

I like scary stuff as much as the next guy, but just adding blood and gore isn't going to make it scary again. At some point, you just get hardened to the horror aspect of the game.

This just feels like a lazy reasoning. What's the point of having horror icons if you don't have any horror in your game? I agree with OP, DBD needs more horror in it. Give us spookier atmospheres and a jumpscare now and then. Let us be on edge, not mindlessly holding M1 or W till we win/loose.

  • Understandable. I left for the same reasons. Only reason I came back is the false hope that with toolboxes being nerfed that it's a step towards better gen speeds.

though I do love the line of "tired of these scooby doo loops"

People use it for the BPs. Even with other BP offerings it's still a lot better to have BBQ as well.

Well yeah, but being in the mindset of "all builds must have X perk" is bad. BBQ is good for bloodpoints, but limiting yourself too 3 perks will limit what you can do.

1 … 6 7 8 9 10 … 32
