in my opinion, behavior should be able to make at least 1 or 2 original cosmetics for characters. i just feel its not fair that we only get to see the devs creativity when it comes to original killers. i loved the recent deathslinger backstory and i thought that the devs characters and story's are good enough to have its own TV show or something like that.

It would be cool, but you act like it's something BHVR can just do. Besides a few exceptions like Demo and Ghostface, they are at the complete mercy of the third party owners, so if they say no then no original skins. We should be happy we at least got the characters.

..other killers feel clunky as well. Is that true? I think im into hag or trapper the most. Are they still fine to play like before or broken as well?

Yes. Wraith doesn't go any faster while invis and Huntress doesn't gain deviousness points. Everyone else is fine besides everyone getting stuck in pallets, survivor or killer.

  • @Aztreonam78 said:

Both Killer and Survivor take 3 or more minutes to find a lobby? What the hell, searching for games now is easily 33% of the entire game expirience! This happened after the patch release. Devs, what "adjustments" have you done?!

mate 3 minutes is literally nothing, play a mobile game like Strike Force or something lol. it's not that bad a que time, talk about things that are actually important like Hillbilly, Wraith, and Huntress being completely broken.

  • The fact people can't see how clearly bait this is is amazing. The account was literally made within the hour lol.

If the survivor isn't asleep you're an M1 killer. Except survivors fall asleep every minute and the chances of you just happening across them as that 1minute of awake time starts is unlikely, then there is the fact once you hit them they are asleep. There is no avoiding falling asleep in one way or another, so don't make out like survivors can play around the sleep mechanic in a chase.

They absolutely can. There's many times as Freddy where you have too chase a survivor while awake, so you just have too hope you get a hit too put them too sleep. And if you are spending a full minute in a chase with a survivor you are wasting your time, leave them and find someone else. The sleep mechanic is not as overpowering as you think it is lol.

Having worked on a Unity project myself, and that is a much easier engine to use than what BHVR is using (Unreal), I can safely say they definitely need those few months to fix the spaghetti code. If they even can.

The thing about Spaghetti code is that you aren't really sure on what to fix. Some glitches may happen and you're not even sure how to fix it or where to start. I am having issues with spawning enemies in my own Unity project and it took hours just to figure out what went wrong.

It's fair to call them out for the spaghetti code, but from what I've seen in some threads, abusing them isn't going to make them work faster or harder. I know some devs that don't care, BHVR is not one of them, sure they may seem incompetent from time to time (There's a reason Dedicated Servers is a meme), but they are still actively working on the game rather than just taking the money and run with it.

Of course, DBD is a live game, so it is expected that they would continuously work on it. But given the rest of the industry's standards, they do somewhat standout.

??? I'm just saying that they need too fix their code, that's not abusing them lol.

Never said he's op, I said that he's not skilled. With spirit you must search every detail, hear and predict. With nurse you have to predict accurately what the survivor does. With Billy you should know where to use your m1 and where your m2 and drift like a mad lad. With Freddy, you just place snares and tp....

See what I mean? Maximum results without skill.

you literally said he's too strong my dude lol. And he takes a lot of skill. He's easy too learn, hard too master. Because if the survivor isn't asleep then you literally have no power in chases, you are just an M1 killer at that point. Even when they are asleep simply dropping pallets early will prevent hits from snares. He's not OP or unskilled my dude.

  • @McLightning said:

    No.

This. It's already a strong perk, so if you have 2-3 stacks of it then you will always get a full heal in 8 seconds 3 times with nothing the killer can do since you'll probably pair it with DS. Sorry but this idea is stupidly broken and not even close too fair. We don't need another MoM situation.

  • @CLAUDETTEINABUSH said:

Heyo, I wanna hear your opinion about the nightmare. Imo, it's a successful rework, but it made him a bit too strong. Here's why:

The Freddy gameplay, on red ranks, it's the same for every Freddy: you find someone, use your snares to down them, you hook em, you see where a gen is worked on with bbq and u pop it, rinse and repeat. There is almost nobody using fake pallets, so we can have at least some change of pace, and don't even get me started with forever Freddy. People said it time and time again, Freddy is boring to go against. That's my whole opinion about this guy.

I don't play him, and I probably won't ever play him, so I can't judge from the fun to play perspective.

What is your opinion? Let me know down below.

Freddy is not too strong, he's a strong killer yes, but not OP. People don't have any issue with him at red ranks, and he shouldn't be nerfed simply because of people not knowing how too counter him. Spirit, Billy, and even Nurse are still better then Freddy, and Nurse and Billy can use the same BBQ + Pop combo too the same tune as Freddy.

  • Skins don't matter if the game is barely functioning with ducktape for code. BHVR really needs too stop being lazy and spend a good few months fixing their spaghetti code. Amount of bugs that appear in every single update is just stupid at this point.

  • @I_am_Negan said:

I get that you wanted to play and all, but if it makes him happy to do nothing all game take the free escape and move on to the next game.

Agreed, then report him for afking and wasting everyone's time lol.

I just faced a swf squad all 4 had metal of man, borrowed time, breakout and ds with purple medkits its was so unfun and all escaped couldn't to do crap with my trapper never wanted to stop playin a game this bad in my life

This isn't about MoM though, this is more a SWF problem. MoM by itself is actually really hard too pull off in solo que, and even in a SWF format it isn't easy.

  • Pennywise would be cool, but I really don't want a killer named "The It", The Ghost Face is bad enough. Plus it'd be weird too have a god like Pennywise too be controlled by the Entity, just doesn't seem realistic.

Jason would always be awesome but with the Lawsuit still going it'll be a bit before he gets added. I'm under the firm belief that Jason will be in DBD before the game dies.

My personal ones I want are My bloody Valentine chapter or a Xenomorph Chapter. My Bloody Valentine simply because I want too kill people as a miner, and Xenomoprh because It's my favorite series.

  • No not really. BHVR won't ban anyone unless you go send an Email with evidence, which is really stupid. I shouldn't have too send an email just too get a clear hacker banned. No other company does this and it's dumb as hell. Better off just blocking the account and moving on.

  • @LetsPlayTogether said:

So its unfun to have high kill rates?

Kill rates don't mean ######### my dude. The game doesn't go by kills anymore, it's by the emblem system.

  • It is toxic my dude, but it's easily counterable. Same thing with SWF flashlighters., sure they spam it but they are so easily baited out it's a free hit.

Just because you can counter it doesn't mean it isn't toxic.

  • @gatsby said:

I felt like playing some Freddy games tonight and ran BBQ/Devour/Pop/Discordance.

It's actually a little crazy. I down someone and then TP straight to one of the gens for a Pop. Pretty much guaranteed stacks. Sometimes it gets cleansed but usually not before I get a couple insta-downs and the pressure to find the totem is probably the best mid-game slowdown possible.

You literally don't have to do anything to make Devour Soap work on Freddy the hex is literally just his playstyle.

Ever since Ruin got nerfed Devour is my usual go too. Unless it gets cleansed at the start no one does totems so that 3-man insta down is super scary.

  • My one unwritten rule is just don't be super toxic with perks. Killers already got it hard enough, and seeing 4 DS, 4 Adrenalin, teabagging, constant flashlight save attempts, etc really makes you not want too play killer anymore.

My second rule is if you gen rush you deserve NOED. Take the time too do bones or get the expose.

Third rule is if you have a key I'm gonna tunnel you. Keys and moris ruin the fun of the game and force people too loose because of an item, not because of skill.

For survivor, simply don't use Ebony Mori on first hook. Literally gets rid of any fun the survivor has and makes them depip from something out of their control.

  • What an amazing point. Why even bother responding when all you are going too say is "no" lol?

  • @Bovinity said:

But it's not the same as a disconnect at all.

It's entirely within the intended and allowed gameplay mechanics. It's simply poor play - and poor sportsmanship perhaps - but it's perfectly legal within the rules of the game and there's no reason it should not be.

Personally they are the same. It's not fair for everyone else for someone too just suicide 5 seconds into the game on first hook. It's poor game design and survivors should be punished for doing it since it screws everyone else over. Survivors are immediately down a person and the killer doesn't get as much points or rank. They deserve a penalty just like a DC because that's what it is.

You do realize the "massive" infinites have just been broken right? And the fact that breakable walls are gonna be added in other maps.

Second chance perks are a myth, they are easily baitable.

As for catching up to survivors, well, survivors only have windows and pallets, base mechanic wise. All other killers:

Trapper has traps, Wraith is super fast when cloaked, Billy has a super sprint and a relatively quick way to destroy pallets, Nurse has teleports, Huntress has hatchets, Myers has stalking and faster vault speeds, Hag has portal traps, Doctor has his shocks to prevent anything except exhaustion perks, Bubba has a relatively quick way to destroy pallets and on most loops, his crazed boost is fast enough to catch up, Freddy has fake pallets or slows, Pig has an ambush, Clown has a massive slow, Spirit has her phasing, Legion has his feral frenzy to force people to mend, while also being able to vault faster than survivors, Plague has her infection to perma injure survivors to reduce average chase time, Ghostface has instadowns(let alone that both ghostface and pig can silently crouch to a survivor and grab them off gens without them even knowing), Demogorgon has his dash, Oni has practically the same power as Billy, except he has more general control on his instadown, Deathslinger has his pull.

When playing killer(Im a survivor main), I've never gotten a hit thanks to bloodlust, I've always gained bloodlust after the hit(which, actually would be a nice way to rework bloodlust, getting bloodlust everytime you hit someone).

A: some maps do still have infinites, like Lery's. B: Breakable walls are only in one map, just because they are going to be in other maps doesn't mean they are. C: Just because killers have powers doesn't mean they can all stop chases. Trappers power only stop chases if the survivor is running into a trap, Michael can only stop chases if he's in tier 3 for insta downs, Legion's power almost works against them at this point, and so one and so one. D: Second chance perks aren't a myth, don't be ignorant lol. DS is the most heavily contested one of them all. Dead hard, though easily baited, can still extend chases when used right. Unbreakable is amazing when paired with DS, etc.

As I said, in the future when the game is more balanced I could see the game without bloodlust, but at the moment it's kinda needed because of the reasons I stated.

  • @BigBrainMegMain said:

No thanks. That was a game pandered to children.

You have killers like Oni, Spirit, Plague, great original killers....

And then you have....haunted mechanical bots.

I don't think FNAF started out as a kids game or pandered too kids lol. Some games simply just have large kid based fandoms. It shouldn't take away from the game itself because the fandom is cancer. Undertale is an amazing game that has a horrible fandom, doesn't take away from the game itself though.

Terminator was terrifying looking IMO. They could easily make a robot scary.

  • a FNAF chapter wouldn't happen solely because there is no good map or survivor as you said. The best that would come from it is a Paragraph like Ashe and Leatherface. Personally I don't really care if FNaF gets in, but if it does then that would open up a massive catalog of horror games too be added into DBD. Currently we have no video game based IP in DBD, but if FnaF did get it then it would open up a nice can of worms IMO.

Please, add compensation for teammates disconnecting.

I just played a game where a claudette failed to get a pallet save (threw it too early) and dced because of it. Then the Kate dced after getting downed. The killer then proceeded to slug and kill us both with absolutely no mercy, which sucks but I don't blame them for the dcs so it's whatever (even though they were vpning.)

Problem is, I depipped because of the BS. Why don't we get more compensation for people dcing? It should be a safety pip guaranteed, because if they dc early game (like above) then we're pretty much screwed. It sucks because I am trying to get to rank 1.

And don't comment saying "GIT GUD" because if your teammate dcs when you have 5 gens left then you're screwed. End of story.

In conclusion- please.. add more compensation.

Agreed. Someone DC also screws over killers as well, since they can't get the hook points too pip, so if 2 people leave before they get hooked it's a guaranteed safety which is BS. They should add the AI survivors like in Mobile too fix this issue.

  • Literally would main him the second he got added, Doesn't matter if he's ######### or not I'd main him.

  • Legion as well

1: Reduce the stun timer when Feral Freny ends.

2: Let him hit multiple times before it ends.

3: Get rid of the fact if he M1's he looses his power.

  • yea it's bad. I had a survivor a few matches ago get stuck inside a hooked person. She had too be downed, then be picked up too be freed even when the hooked person was long gone. BHVR back at it again with the untested patches.

  • @bilaueta said:

Im not saying that the killer instinct should be disabled as well, as it should put you at risk to expose ghostface at the expense of avoiding a down. But it happens way to many times that you look at ghostface for half a second and he immediately gets a pointer to your exact location even if you try to look away.

You are forced to stay put and avoid looking at him at the same time that you have to hide from him, which is dumb and only ends up with you getting spotted or even fully stalked just because you were looking at a random place or trying to not look at the killer

He should get notified that he is getting stalked, so that he can hide and figure out where the survivor is. But having an arrow straight towards the survivor makes it a free chase or hit by punishing someone who should have the advantage after spotting him or look at him by accident

If you disagree it is fine, Im willing to have a discussion about this. But think of how many times you were trying to hide or simply move around and suddenly hear ghostface's revealing sound and ghostface does a 180 and finds you immediately without you being able to do anything to hide

Personally they don't help as often as people think. It simply points in the survivors direction but because of how large of a detection range he has it could be 2 feet away or on the other side of the map. The Killer Instinct is much more helpful IMO.

Don't be mean, most killers don't know the difference between Tier 1 and 3.

I run tier 3 simply because i find tier one so annoying with the constant sound. If I'm hooking someone I don't need the entity shouting every 8 seconds "HEY THEY ARE GEN RUSHING HERE, FIX IT!"

  • @brubli said:

almost as disgusting tier 3 discordance. honestly they need to fix this, I have fought way too many baby survivors/killers than I should be.

Reverse for me as well, the amount of rank 15-10 survivors i run into at red ranks is just stupid. I understand that for que times you'll run into them from time too time, but it's almost every other match at this point.

  • For serious learning watch Tru3Talent or Ohtofu. For fun channels I go too umbra if you're into amazing huntress shots or Farmer John for the weirdest but funnies ######### ever.

They nerfed swf a bit, made maps smaller, and nerfed gens speeds. If you think the update didn't help at all idk what to tell you. Either you're not applying much pressure as killer or you're up against way more skilled players. I switched from pc back to console because my pc is ######### atm just to see the update and it seems fine to me. I get 4ks most of my games and like 4 2ks I think? Only because I started getting matched against my ranks which is red after reaching rank 11 and also playing on controller is rough.

I'm not talking about map size though, i'm talking about how gen nerfs were irrelevant since they buffed perks too compensate for the nerfs.

  • @yikers said:

Honestly, this update was just another crappy one in a long line recently. Of course you as a killer would be happy with smaller maps and even less pallets, with gens tucked nicely together (seen 4 in one corner) but tbh this has been one of the bad ones.

Now either survivors truly "gen rush" a game or they die. There is not enough pallets or space in most maps to do other things, making games even quicker to win or lose.

Just terrible game design all around.

Agreed, and I play killer mostly. This update is another buggy joke. Billy, Wraith, and Huntress are bugged in different ways, Smaller maps means survivors just gen rush even harder then before, there's no in between with survivors anymore, they either die at 5 gens or live. Every game has a hook trade for a gen, rarely does this not happen anymore. And the best part is that the gen "nerfs" are completely pointless since perks got buffed too compensate for the nerfs, making it literally pointless. BHVR has ######### the community once again.

  • Legion without a shadow of a doubt. Their power almost works against them most of the time. Clown and Bubba are bad, but at least their power helps them get kills. Legion's Frenzy typically just lets survivors get a huge speed boost, then they eat a 5 second stun, then they can chase them with M1. It's literally the worst killer in the game.

  • The pink addons for me, but personally I like Red Paint Brush more. The pallets are fun but on certain maps like Coldwind where pallets are sparce it's a waste of an addon. Snares are always stronger IMO.

  • Deathslinger. Sure he's garbo and barely functions with his spear gun, but nothing comes close too getting a good reel in on a survivor who can't really do much in most situations.

  • I agree. Personally we have more then enough content in game too keep people engaged while they fix their spaghetti code and make balance and health changes. Its what I feel most of the community wants. Having a new killer is fun but if they are barely functional and then you find that the rest of the game is broken it ruins the new content.

  • How can you struggle too get devious points as Plague? I'm not saying shes the best, but between her and Pig it's kinda a no brainier. I'd say a better comparison is between Pig and Trapper, since at high levels it's very difficult too get survivors in your traps.

  • In game chat hate is constant as a killer. Survivors call me toxic, camper, tunneler, trash, too KMS, too uninstall, and many many other things. It wouldn't be bad if BHVR actually banned people for it, but there's very little that'll get you banned in this game, so it does wear on me personally.

  • NOED is balanced for the reasons you did state. It's not hard too find totems when A: they spawn in pre set locations, B: Use a map too track them, or C: run a perk too find them. I do mostly play killer, but I also play some survivor, and I can say that I don't have an issue with NOED on either side. If I get hit by it it's my own fault for not doing bones, and If I use it then it's the survivors fault for not doing bones.

  • Agreed, the devs really need too suck it up and heavy nerf gens. Map size and the light slap that gens got just ain't gonna cut it. Hell they even buffed other perks that completely make the nerfs irrelivent. There was literally no point in nerfing gens when they just reverted it the same patch.

  • @Tinytwo1 said:

So I have terrible internet and this would make me disconnect at random times. This would get me ban of course. I know the system is meant for people that purposely DC. But this mainly happens when I'm killer. You guys on the forum might say get better internet but it only happens when I'm killer and only on DBD. I just need some feedback what to do.

it means your upload speed is horrible and it can't connect too the servers properly. Either talk too your internet provider about fixing it or find a new internet provider, not much else can be done unfortunately

  • Ironically this almost happened too me as Wraith, being stuck in a pallet. I got lucky that I was able too break it from my angle but I was completely immobile otherwise. BHVR needs too actually test these damn updates.

  • @Waffleyumboy said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1246226#Comment_1246226

Would you like to address my points? These types of comments are getting to be spam at this point.

it's spam because it's the truth lol. It takes 7 seconds too do bones, so if 1 survivor is being chased, 2 are on gens, then you can spend the time too find bones. They spawn in set locations so memorizing the spawns isn't too hard, and if you still can't find them then use perks or a map.

Think about it like this, when a killer runs NOED they are literally using 3 perks for most of the game, and it's not even a guarantee it will be active if you did the totems, meaning the killer never had a 4th perk. It's not unbalanced, just do bones.

  • I agree that this is toxic, but what does this have too do with cosmetics at all? I don't see a correlation tbh.

  • @youarewronglol said:

They JUST nerfed it, at least give it day man

yes, and it wasn't even close too enough too fix gen speeds. I feel barely a difference in gen speeds and I've played the new update for an entire day as killer only.

  • Agreed. The gen nerfs didn't do squat, and with the original intent was too give killers more time too pressure early on but every game the first hook always costs 1-2 gens. Gen's rushing need heavy nerfs or they need too add more objectives.

1 … 4 5 6 7 8 … 32
