People will most certainly use it to taunt the killer.
Feels better than a t-bag or an annoying clicking sound, tho

The counter could be base kit, and the perk could have stacks for each Hex Totem that's active on the map.

Legion's tome is just the relationship of Frank and Julie. Read it, and then imagine it's about two same-sex characters. How is that not shoving it down our throats?
I mean, it's just an obnoxious storyline tbh, heterosexual or not. I'm not a big fan of their relationship, but I'm more into it for the origin of the legion as a group.
If it had been the exact same but with a homosexual relatuinship, my opinion would probably be the same.

It feels forced not to have confirmed LGBT characters when we already have confirmed heterosexual ones and a tome that's just shoving heterosexuality down our throats.
Appart from the nurse, and maybe legion, which tome exactly is "shoving" heterosexuality down your throat?
Out of all the characters, I'm pretty sure there's like 5 or 6 confirmed or very probable straight characters.
Nurse, Felix and Oni are confirmed, as they all married someone or/and had a son.
Ace's cosmetics make a lot of references to "The ladies", so yeah...
Then there's... Julie and Frank?
There, that's it. No one else appart from that, since licensed characters don't really count here.

TTS can also absolutely wreck solo queue and it's okay against SWF too. If that weren't a hex I'd run it all the time.

No hex perk deserves being a hex perk. Most are ridiculously weak.
I mean there's ruin, and devour, and even lullaby on killers like doctor

Blood Favor in a sense actually synergizes with the killer it was made with: Blight. Blood Favor may be underwhelming in the long run due to its limitations, namely the aforementioned long cooldown and the fact it's a hex perk, but its 16 meters is a lot better when compared to something like Cruel Limits which is nigh-pointless since it can activate even if you are not nearby. Not to mention it can usually net you a free down so long as they don't figure out you have it.
How exactly does it synergize with him, out of all killers? His power makes him able to cover great distances and his rush attack doesn't count as a basic one, so the perk activates even more rarely

I believe that one was a glitch that hit legion randomly a month or 2 ago.
Not really, there's many clips of different killers floating and throwing hatchets without cooldown like thar

I've had the game for maybe 3 years and I've only seen 2 people who were certainly hacking. I have seen many many players that were suspicious but not enough to make me think they were hacking. Like killers who hook someone and they immediately run to another survivor across the map. Despite not having BBQ or anything that would give them that information. They could have just been lucky but some matches I've seen this happen every single time they hooked someone. Like I said, suspicious but not enough to file a report.
I described something very different in my post tho. I'll never accuse a good player of hacking, since when you see a video of a legion throwing hatchets it's easy to tell the difference

The problematic thing is that the EAC system doesn't work properly.
I once stumbled upon a website where people could post every existing hack and how you can work around the EAC programm.
It appears to me that it is relatively easy to hack in this game which might be the reason for the increased amount of hackers, although, I have to say, I didn't encounter any hacker for a long time. Or at least no obvious one.
Of course, I'm just basing myself on the post that I see. I've yet to encounter and find myself poweless against one of these indiciduals.

Yeah but when rage quiting a board game, you got to pick up all the pieces.
@Orion the Lebowski reference, love it!
Oh no, I take the L (I may be mad, but I'm no coward)
Usually when games go too bad as survivor I try to farm, but if the killer just want to get kills after two survivors dc (which is fair) I just try but have no hope of even getting close to winning
-
Tbh dbd has made me hate to not be in control of a situation. Whenever I'm playing some board game and I am losing by a lomg stretch I just don't see the fun in the game anymore. It's sometimes my fault and sometimes the other players get lucky but I just can't enjoy the game anymore because I see no thrill in being left behind with no chance to catch up

Yeah, the current version of Cruel Limits is weak, and is still probably weak even with its range buff on the PTB. I think either of the following would make it more worthwhile:
- Have it block pallets and windows within 32 meters like the original post suggests. At least that way if you do happen to be in the area of the completed gen this perk is going to make it much more likely to get a hit on a fleeing survivor. As it is even with the windows within 8 seconds of the compelted gen blocked there's still likely a pallet loop to avoid a hit.
- Have it block all windows on the map with no range limit. It only happens five times per match and, if it doesn't block pallets, survivors can still use them of course. But at least if it didn't have a range limit on the window blocking you'd be guaranteed to basically have blocked windows possibly affecting whoever you happen to be chasing at the time the gen is completed.
Basically a perk that only goes off 5 times per match should be pretty good when it happens and Cruel Limits just isn't that good.
Agreed, and your point would make the perk so much more fun and dinamic.
Imagine a survivor trying to jump into a window, but all of a sudden the window is blocked by a completed gen and the player goes "Noooo! Curse you, cruel limits!"

Well friend. Let me walk you through the day of a doctor main.
He's sitting down in his chair, ready to play some dead by daylight. Probably just finished watching three hours of stand up comedy. He sees the doctor, hears that loving laugh, and gets into queue.
That didn't take long, which is a shame because he was trying out so many of the doctor's cosmetics! Today he's wearing a suit, using a baseball bat and has absolutely no skin on his head this time. Because Doctor.
Now, where to find the survivors? Doctor doesn't need any game sense. He just pulses his magic circle and he's found someone!
Hooray! Now to begin the chase!
The survivor wants to throw down pallets and vault windows, but you're a doctor main. You know when to perfectly time your shocks. Sometimes Tier 3 Madness blocks the survivor for you! You never have to deal with pallet drops or loops or anything. The only skill you need is timing your shock correctly.
Wow, that was fun! No loops, always know where survivors are. Just press M2 at the right time and it's practically a single player game!
...through every laugh you realize the cold, hard reality. Every match is exactly the same. There's no PvP. You realize why nobody really plays Hag either, despite Hag and Doctor both being strong killers. Once you learn to time your shocks correctly, you realize there is no game. No counterplay, but now you're stuck.
You never learned how to find survivors and you never learned how to deal with loops. Your power did that for you. You can't play any other killer, or really even play Dead by Daylight at all. You're stuck playing Doctor, forever.
At least his laugh is good right?
Get this man a storytelling award

Self Care is actually more efficient. Heal time is the same: 2 Survivors healing for 16 seconds is the same as one for 32 seconds with regard to doing generators. But there's no time spent finding each other. Self Care's performance with regard to Survivor outcomes is quite good, actually.
It's not always the right play to spend 32 sec to heal, but it's not always the wrong play, either.
I think I should put this response on a keyboard macro. :D

If you take your head out your ass for 2 minutes to actually try and understand the whole concept I'd be happy to debate. But you are such a 'mad lad' there's no point at all. THE GAME IS DEVELOPED WHERE THERE IS NO TIME LIMIT TO DO A GENERATOR. GET IT IN YOUR HEAD. THE DEVELOPERS MADE IT THIS WAY. THE DEVELOPERS
But it still wasn't intended to be that way.
Survivors should still be supposed to at least try to do the gens (the developers intended for it to be that way) if they refuse then there is no way for the game to end.
This isn't "trying to avoid the killer" kind of hiding, this is "let's see who dies first so I can get the hatch" or "let's just not do the objective" kind of hiding.
And of course there isn't going to be a timer for the gens to be done, that would be unfair.
The players are taking advantage of a mistake made by the devs in order to screw over someone else by avoiding the game from ever progessing. THAT IS THE DEFINITION OF TAKING A GAME HOSTAGE
Plus, you were the one who started telling people they were hypocrites the second they disagreed with you.
I guess we are both stupid anyways

Can't reply to all 4 comments above. But it's 3 v 1.just the oppiste of a real game. Just because survivors can hide in lockers for an endless time, but when they get downed and the killer just stares at them and has a timer, what really makes this different? The fact the killer got fed up and DCd. JuSt RuN iRoN mAiDen
It's still not the same. Lemme get it into your thick head
A killer can slug an entire team, but eventually they will die after a few minutes, you can check your phone while your entire team dies and you will at some point end the match.
However, if the survivors refuse to stop hiding, there is no end to it unless they get found. No endgame collapse timer, no crows if they exploit the pointing an locker animations. As the killer, you can't just sit down and wait, you have to either dc or spend years running around, wasting everyone's time, until someone either gets found or dc's.
And also, IT IS NOT OK TO EITHER THE LONG SLUGGING OR THE ENDLESS HIDING. But one is taking the game hostage while being an ######### and the other one is just being an #########

You honestly can't defend against the VS that DS can do. If ruin was nerf to be more fun for survivor an because killers used it too much then do the same to DS an tone it down. It should deactivate if you work on a gen for 20, fully healed or if someone else got hook.

So you have two people on hooks, and you feel like you need to add additional pressure by killing anything within 20m of those hooks? (that's my issue honestly) And / or patrolling one of the last two survivors who can extend the game. What % chance do you think a double hooked survivor team can come back ? .5, 1%, 2% chance? The only 5 minute survivor induced game I've played was due to matchmaking (red survivors vs green killer). The amount of killer side 5 minute games is unreal.
Here's my thing, if you play killer to ruin people's games (snowballed double hook in the first 5 mins are ruined games IMO), great. Just don't expect people on the other side of it to just sit back and say wow that was fun. It wasn't.
I mean, it was not a five minute game. And these were the kind of survivors who swarm a pallet when a downed survivor is near it, making the objective of downing them an extreme priority.
So yeah, dont complain about me ruinning your fun when you play poorly, you ruined the game for yourself
-
@xenotimebong said:
I’m not sure I understand your complaint. You’re annoyed because you killed everyone with only 1 gen left, rather than more? Or am I misunderstanding?
Not exactly, the problem is that I went from a snowball into a close 1 gen game due to a single perk used in a braindead way.
And the game was already at three gens when that happened, so that moment changed the course of the match as all my pressure was blown away and I had to try hard to gain back those five seconds of stun which were gifted to a survivor
-
@thottiepippen said:
I can't tell you how many games I've been in where the killer is snowballing with 4 or 5 gens up.. They then get greedy and start tunneling everything.

Yeah fair enough, it could be greed in some cases as well, I'll admit it.
But telling me that I was tunneling in that scenario is bs. I got hit twice by ds in that game, one I kinda deserved for half-tunneling the unhooked survior who ran into me by accident. But the one in the OP is definetly not bc of tunneling

I came to a conclusion here
DS IS NECESSARY FOR THE GAME
But it needs a way to avoid it from being abused by players

If it was base kit, every survivor would have a chance to enjoy the game for at least a little bit. Any game where you are sacrificed with less than 5,000 blood points is a far worse travesty then a killer getting DS’d with five gens remaining.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1332547#Comment_1332547
The point of that part of the post is to remind us that killers have the information available to know if a survivor could still potentially have DS on cooldown or not. Also the perk is easily countered.
And the point of base-kit noed is so the killer can enjoy the game without all gens being done with them only having 7000 points. As a killer, getting all gens done in five minutes is a far worse travesty than a survivor getting downed and hooked for the first time in the collapse with NOED
See the problem?

DS is an anti-momentum perk, not anti-tunnel.
It’s sixty seconds from unhook at Tier 3. If you want to not get DS’d, keep it in mind how long ago the survivor was unhooked. There’s a section in the bottom left of the HUD that tells the killer the state of each survivor without seeing them. On top of that there is a noise notification letting the killer know when a player is unhooked.
As for suggested prescriptions: DS should be stronger then what it currently is, if not base kit.
I can pull out my killer credentials if you want.
Just imagine how horrible it would be for every survivor to have base-kit DS plus four other perks.
Its as if NOED was base-kit

The Fact that they are fully healthy anyways, so hitting them gives them time to finish it anyways

Bruh you woudln't need to be a killer main to know about the noise and HUD notification.
I get that DS is supposed to be anti-momentum but it shouldn't be abusable in that way, it shoudlnt give you a free escape when doing a terrible play like unhooking in front of the killer or be able to finish a gen on a killer's face with no worries at all
