Then let them be in the locker? A Survivor in a locker is not doing Gens. A survivor not doing Gens is good.

So I should go out of my way to leave a player alone just because they went inside a wooden locker in front of my face? I should go out of my way to avoid doing my objective (kill) just because one guy can't be hooked for 60 seconds. Nah Im the killer and I've hooked someone else, just let me grab this guy who thinks he is a genius by hiding in there and carry on with my game

It's probably the best perk in the entire game. It's description should be "For 60 seconds, gain the ability to be aggressive and invincible to the killer."

You can just do so much dumb stuff, lockers make you God for a while, your teammates can just do gens. The amount of times I've hopped into a locker and just waited while the killer grabbed me last second DS is too many to count.

I don't know if you are being sarcastic but basically you are saying that by being untochable to the killer it is the best perk in the game? That doesn't sound to balanced

Non-Obsession DS was nowhere near fair, it was even worse than Obsession-DS. Obsession-DS could be somewhat countered by juggling or slugging, while Non-Obsession DS simply hit the Killer by surprise.

I still think that current DS is fine. I almost never get to use it, but when I use mine, it is always justified. I dont run at the Killer tho in an attempt to stun them, because if they are smart, they will only slug me which is just free Pressure for them.

And I get hit almost never with DS, because when someone tries to do a Gen in my face, I slug them, just in case.

So yeah, I am pretty sure that people are making a lot up when it comes to DS. If watching Streams, I also see that DS hits exactly those people which should have been hit - tunnelers.

What about players that can crawl out of a gate and screw the killer up because he can't do anything to stop them because if not they are tunnelers

And what about when a killer hooks someone else, randomly finds an unhooked player that didn't bother to heal and then that player hides in a locker? Outplayed I guess

It's as close to balanced today as it has ever been.

    Still not quite there.

Agree, it's still dumb those situations where survivors can do bad plays and leave unpunished due to DS

Asurvivor gets hooked near gate? "Welp, I got my last few seconds of DS so let's just farm him, oh the killer downed me after I unhooked and also downed the other player I farmed. Np I just hit DS and the other guy also had DS so we both run to the gate GG EZ Baby Killer"

Resilience lets you play injured and gives you vault speed(!!!) to be greedy with loops. It can mitigate thanatophobia and other slowdown perks quite well.

Hey that's a pretty nice combo with a no mither build

I always try to stay at 5 straight in the middle but then I end of going to 4 then 3 and then it makes me sad it's to easy to rank up as survivor

I agree, it sucks. I usually don't pip to much since I prefer to play a stealthy way and suck at chases

It would be a very situational perk. No-one will simply leave an item on the ground during normal play, and chests are only searched by people with no (or bad) items. It would be an okay counter to Franklin's Demise, but getting hit multiple times will break your item if you have it constantly.

I specifically thought of this perk as a counter to franklin's, which might not be a great idea since perks that counter specific perks usually don't work (hangsman trick). It could also be used by people who want to complete a escape with a new item challenge to secure an item or to grab it from a dead survivor mid-chase

But why? SWFs already have it easy. If the devs are ever to close the SWF-Solo gap they have to give some of those ez benefits SWF have to solos. It’s the only way to properly balance this game for the benefit of survivors and killers alike.

So that it still requires skill and attention to know this stuff. There is a difference between balancing the game for solo survivors and making the game as easy as SWF. In one solo players would be given information but would need to pay attention and use it accordingly, playing it smart to survive. While in the other survivors would have all the information they want constantly just by looking at a constant counter or by asking it. If a survivor wants extra information they have to be vulnerable for chases (for example) since their perks go to aura reading or detection abilities and very few for looping. SWF can just know everything while having extreme looping builds, which is not fair

I think a notification of when one is done wouldn't be a bad idea, but lets not have a counter spoon feeding you information.

I agree, for a survivor to know when one is done they would have to pay attention for any notification or small scoring event so it's not as easy as to just look at a counter at the bottom of your screen

  • I got to lazy to prestige any other survivor so I just stayed with a P3 Claudette (not a toxic guy)

For killer I only fully prestiged my Demogorgon since it was double BP weekend and I knew I wouldn't get any free cosmetics for him, also he is my favourite killer boi

I P1 my doctor, clown and hillbilly but gave up because I wasn't going to try to hard just for some bloodied up clothes when I could get much better cosmetics for free

  • @VincentRedfield said:

It would never be used because no one would dump a strong perk for a niche perk like that.

Fair enough, I thought it would be cool for survivors to do that but now that I think about it it may be kinda meh

  • @Mew said:

No offense but, this is a very niche perk and nobody would use this

the fact that you cant use it while injured makes this perk really really bad, because isnt the point of it to grab the item mid chase after getting franklins’d?

I didnt mean that you cant use it while injured, I meant that you couldn't use it at the moment when taking a hit to prevent them from just grabbing the item while being hit

  • @Andreyu44 said:

    yyyyeaaaaah.........

No one would use this perk, tbh xD

    Why do you think that?

  • Love the demogorgon and my boi billy, I love getting pallets out of the way instantly and running to the next survivor in seconds as soon as I hook someone

Welcome to this community! It might hurt sometimes but give it a chance and you may really have fun here

  • Im going to assume he is the guy that escaped with 24.138 BPS, ignore him. Many of the players, both killers and survivors that get to this high rank think they are the best players in the game and get all up their high horses because they feel skillfull for bringing meta perks that work in most scenarios without bringing any downsite or requiring any plan (Iridescent moris against solo queuers-adrenaline+decisive to run away to the gate as soon as hooked- old instaheals which were thankfully nerfed)

This guy is just another example of these kinds of players, there are a lot of skilled and smart players at red ranks that use original builds or good stealth/altruistic strategies, but many of them (survivors most since it is much easier to rank up as them) play meta and use strong addons (green toolbox + brand new part = killer's worst nightmare) and act like the killer is an idiot for not being able to counter a decisive strike next to an opened gate or a team with toolboxes and prove thyself.

And you are completely right for the latency with dedicated servers, he's just salty AF (which doesn't even make sense since he escaped with the most points in the match) You can clearly see this by how he acts so smug with the "later #########". If someone ends a conversation with that I just loose all the care about that person's opinion (I use that once and I still believe it was stupid to end it like that)

This game is basically the phrase "live and let live", but rather "live and let them kill"
