So using the CTRL and M2 buttons are toxic to you. Gotcha.
In terms of comments - killers are just as guilty of that as survivors are. So we can strike that off the list, since it's far from survivor exclusive. If you get that badly offended by someone crouching in front of you, get help, dude.
Ok Buddy
I was refering to survivors specifically, of course killers can be as toxic as them.
And I dont get offended by teabagging or anything, I learned to just forget it and move on. The real offensive stuff is what they tell you in post game chat telling you to ######### because you "tunneled me"
And this is being toxic IN A GAME you could be a nice person in real life for all I know
Please dont be that kind of guy who just denies everything the other guy says line by line, nobody likes to be corrected like that

I actually use flashlight clicking for strategic purposes, lots of killers end up not finding my death hook teammate because of it.
I agree that it can be used strategically
I once did it to save a teammate from being killed when the gates where powered, atracting the killer towards me and (miraculously) looping him until I got to a gate
No harm done in saving a teammate, and I hadnt been annoying or anything during the match

Describe what "toxic" means to you?
Being overly annoying and making fun of you with flasglight clicks and teabags, and commonly DC when outplayed
They also leave salty and offensive messages to you no matter the result of the game. Im totally fine with looping in the sense that I understand that it is the most effective way to survive (although sometimes it can get annoying to face)
But when you start teabagging at god loops or at every pallet that is when you crossed a line of respect from the killer
-
Why is everyone talking about swf?
I mean random survivors who spam flashlight before attempting a 360 and fail miserably. Or guys who teabag next to shack windows and as soon as you vault it try to do the window tech but end up stuck with the killer looking straight at them knowing that that survivor screwed up
Pls dont argue abt balance

A survivor dc'ing doesn't cancel the game.
No
It cancels the challenge
Thats the point of this post

Actually it is very funny since you probably waited by basement or played some killer that can get back there instantly.
I'd say it's karma they DC on you lmao
Lmao that is exactly the mentality of this kinds of survivors
1. That was not my game in mine I played as demo and ON MY FIRST DOWN I sent someone to basement and they immediately dc'd (karma for me I shouldnt have even tried to hook him there ez bb killer smh)
2. By dcing you are making the killer play the way you didnt like them to with other players, screwing them up
3. And obviously most players will play around beasement in that challenge unless they are very skilled. One thing would be to avoid the area and do gens but be a good sport when caught and the other is to dc because "He DiDnT pLaY hOw I lIKeD"

Only survivors are able to dc?
I have seen a lot of bs killer use franklin's, hit me and instantly dc so I lost my item or tunnel me the whole game when I have the 4 gens challenge..
While I get what you are saying, this case is much worse for killers as it is intentional
Killers tunnel regardless of what challenge you are doing, they cant know that you are trying to do 4 gens so its not personal, its just how they play (not really optimally by the way)
But a survivor is able to easily see the killer hooking a lot in the basement. And when he is about to get their last hook on the basement or they see that the killer is trying to hook on the basement they DC just to specifically screw up that person in particular. They know that the killer will have to try again and they laugh at you while a tunneling killer is just trying to play the game in his on way
The franklin's one seems oddly specific

As I said to the guy up there. In 2016 fortnite was unknown with the singleplayer mode. Nobody supported it. They added battle royale, got popular, devs added good content, they listened to the community and did right on every choice. Any single game, doind as right as fortnite, could get to that, from the ######### to the top of the gaming world
You see, no one wanted to play the game until they added battle royale, which was what was popular at that time.
Asymetrical horror games were (I think) never popular so dead by daylight from the start had a slow start
I do agree on hearing the community, but its hard for this game since there is a split on making the game survivor or killer favoured. While on fortnite everyone wanted the same thing
-
How many matches did the basement one took?
-
If you think about it fortnite was and still is one of the most popular games in the world, having then tons of money to invest in workers and updates
Dead by daylight is basically an indie game which became slighlty popular, the devs have to use the small popularity of the game to gain profit to invest in it, so they add more paid stuff (which is not even overwhelming) to gain money.
You cant compare one of the most popular games of this last years to this game

This is their way to feel they “win,” even though they actually lost. even before challenges survivors would DC while you carried them to third hook and claim you “didn’t kill me.”
It’s the reason I will never even try that challenge, maybe once it’s the only challenge left I’ll keep it selected “just in case,” but I won’t ever expect to get it.
I once had a survivor die in the collapse and complain that I "didnt kill him the entity did" which of course makes no sense

well survivors are more powerful then the killers depip squad already proved that but the majority of survivors are very bad at the game and that is the reason the kill rate is very high.
This. One good survivor has the potential to escape alive, but 4 good survivors against one good killer can drastically change the balance and destroy a killer if they dont play 100% optimally. Making it more stressfull to manage, not exactly harder but stressfull non the less
-
I immediately feel annoyed when I realize Im playing against legion, its really dumb when he hits me with his power and I just stand still and mend while he runs away. Specially when he's got thanatophobia, its really boring
I love playing against nurse, either good or bad players as I love to abandon loops and just run in any direction to avoid her attacks
-
It doesnt mean you are getting it the first time you try, it is a tough challenge, and the devs were smart enough to make this challenge impossible to farm (tried baiting farming and it still didnt work)
Just have patience and you will get it eventually

yus that was i thought when i tried Doctor only using Agitation so i would make sense since it also increase the TR

I get either the most chilled or more fun games playing as demogorgon, definetly my favourite killer
-
The best thing you can do is memorize the basement location and then play normally until a survivor is on third hook, on that hook you can just go to the basement with iron grasp and agitation and repeat the process for all four surivors
They wont avoid the basement if you dont play near it
-
You had us in the first half, not gonna lie
-
First match of survivor was as Claudette, dint really remember how it went. I never changed from survivor as I was too lazy
For killer I played as hillbilly. On lery's. Somehow got a 4k that game without camping
-
You are welcome?
-
No mither - Self care - Inner strength - Aftercare
Would probably get thousands of hate messages for that
-
Stealth is great but sometimes it is better for you to get hooked for the first time and not let the others die on their last one
-
Weirdly enough, when I went out of my way to do this challenge by trying to bait survivors into the basement it always ended up on Dc'ing or failing with one guy not dying there.
When I played a normal game and decided to not force myself to hook in basement at every chance except for last hooks I actually made it with all 4 survivors dying at different times in there. If you are not obvious that you need to kill them there then its not likely that they will avoid the basement just to spite you
Also dont try insidious bubba or billy for this, tried it and the feng I downed was not happy and DC'd
-
Camping a hook had always being in the game ever since day one and from then many perks abd strategies have been implemented to counter this playstyle.
And about bbq just hide in a locker, its really not that hard there are at least one of them in most tiles

They didnt even bother to check out the patch notes, they heard "spirit got nerfed" and called it a day. Then they went home and now they sit waiting to grab their pitchforks against any next viable killer

@Pulsar said:
People have not stopped complaining.
I dont know, no one does theards about her asking for nerfs or buffs, no one is complaining on twitter anymore, heck not even the subreddit is complaining or making memes and that is completely survivor sided
-
Depends also in your kind of gameplay, Oni is a killer that goes all in and doesnt require that much strategy to use, while demogorgon relies on strategic portals and mindgames with shred
-
I prefer to use corrupt intervention since I have enough time to set up my traps and stategize on the gebs close to me. Abd since Im confident on my skill I know I'll probably get someone down before the timer runs out, and by then most survivors will be on the unblocked gens, and I know exactly where to go next
-
I also hear the sounds that a survivor makes when working on a gen when I enter a portal, its very confusing as I think they they've gone back to the gen as soon as I left despite no one bieng there

That way you could down the unhooker, slug him, down the unhooked survivor again. Go back to hook the person that unhooked earlier, go back to the survivor that just got off the hook and rehook him.
Sounds pretty bad tbh, that survivor should still get to use DS in that case.
Its a good point but realistically no killer would waste so much time to do all those actions at the risk of the other guy getting healed from the ground and therefor still having to eat the DS. Your situation would only be viable if the survivor just unhooked someone next to the killer and the other guy has nowhere to run, making that case very situational
-
Use a flashlight
-
Downing a survivor (with shred as demogorgon) who was about to get to a safe loop or to the gates.
-
He is already being punished enough with not being able to apply any kind of pressure and gens get done. Although for that of course you need to have average iq teamates. He also looses points in his emblems scoring so yeah also that. Sometimes you get camped for 0 reason and it sucks, but just stay for as long as possible on the hook and if you die just say "well, tough luck for me, onto the next game". Sh*t happens
-
Oni on PS4: *gets buffed making his dash-strike combo even better"
Pc players: Wow thanks for killing Oni
-
I thought of something similar, which is to turn around and run the killer mid chase and quickly turn around again as normal. Rhe killer sometimes has a little brain-lag due to not expecting this and in confusion swings at a distance that is way to far to hit

Lol, yes in fact one is cowardly for hiding from the killer, but its ok to be a coward in this game, dont justify cowardness. Dont listen to anyone that says its selfishly or useless. You do waste a killers time by hiding, it makes them a bit fustraded when they have to keep kicking a gen and not finding anyone, then you learn the pattern to how they play. So long as YOU feel you making good use of your time (I hope youre not self caring while on sloppy butcher) you'll be fine. Dont self care
Aye aye! left that perk behind a long time ago
-
@Reyla said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/111594/so-being-stealthy-is-apparently-wrong
Being stealthy is fine, as is being an aggressive survivor, but if a survivor wants to be the best survivor they can be, they have to be both, depending on the situation.
If three of your teammates are slugged, it's stealthy time, even if you're that guy who likes to be chased for five gens. If all of your team is on death hook and injured and you haven't been chased all game, you need to make sure you're the next one chased.
Everyone has their preferences and I would never judge anyone for the way they play, but it can be a mistake to be stealthy in certain situations.
Well I think this is the best way to sum it all up, thank you for the tip
-

I mean, the Killer can also get his 3 Brain Cells working and not go after the unhooked person. And if they go into a locker and you can afford eating the Stun... Just do it? This person will not have DS anymore after that, so you can be a good Killer and tunnel them as you wish. ;)
Fair enough my friend, but I think that the whole situation is pretty dumb from a balance and realist perspective
