So i guess the unhooker unhooked you right in his face?

If something like this happens I usually try to slug the unhooked person so that the unhooker doesnt get a safe rescue.

Maybe he wanted to do exactly this.

Then you loop him for a minute or more and gens keep popping.

At the end he wants to secure the kill because the other people are fresh and could easy escape once hooked.

    Just a possible explanation.

Could also be that he knew your name from a previous game and something was goin on there.

Or he just likes to ruin the game for survivors.

    Could be many things.

A story of mine which has been repeated abotu 100 times:

Survivor gets unhooked in my face, i try to go for the unhooker, unhooked survivor body blocks.

I wait until BT runs out and chase the unhooked person ( he/she clearly wanted my attention)

Kill the unhooked person in the end --> tunneler + ######### messages

What is that logic? The person runs in front of you and prevents you from hooking someone else, and when he gets you suddenly its his fault? I dont know how people can get mad about this kinds of things when it is clearly their fault

Me neither mate, me neither. I swear there are pallets every 5 meters. I started a chase with a survivor and he found a pallet 5 seconds after he dropped one. The main building is so damn bad, you have like 5 walls that you have to break so you are able to chase someone, if you don't break them, well, you are f*cked.

Oh yeah, and that damn eagle that CAW every 5 seconds, i think i will lose my mind if i hear that caw again

)Sorry for correcting, dont wanna be that guy) Its a vulture, and he is cool leave him alone! :,(

Though I'm glad you are on my side, I disagree here. This change shouldn't change achievements or the emblems for ranking. It should simply override them.

If I 4k and got a bronze in chasing... It's not my fault they sucked at chasing!

So you still get the same gold, silver, etc. Things at the end. But if you meet certain conditions, you gain the pips regardless.

So you mean that the double pip should not be a merciless victory if you 4k'd easily?

  • And also, you can get your adept achievements without having to constantly try again because you got three iridesvents and one gold because "survivors healed to much"

  • This would make the kill by your own hand challenge available to all killers no matter if they have an offering or not, and make you actually have to work for the challenge if you want to save mori's. A great idea and its actually surprising to see a "buff" to moris that is fun and cool

  • The only time it annoys me is when everyone is ready except for that one survivor who decides to wait just for the sake of it and then change their items. Dude, if the killer is ready just swap it immediately and ready up, you are wasting everyone's time

That's what I picture happening. Yet another example of perks being broken when combined. They need to throw certain perks into a category and restrict how many of those certain perks you can equip.

Thing is, that breaks any sense of creativity in the game. Yes, many survivors and killers are not creative and slap the same perks on all builds without even thinking if they go well with each other, but that doesn't mean that you should restrict the rest of people in their loadouts. It would be unfair and cause complaints on both sides

Oh okay I wasn't actually sure. Is the date always the same?

Most likely. They release it on the anniversary stream

  • It's definetly more balanced than old instaheals, you can at least down the one that is broken once they "E for the people". The most abusive and broken use of this perk would probably be either a DS player heal their friend right of a hook, who also has DS. Or using a syptic agent on yourself and then heal someone with the perk, making you both untouchable.

  • I mean that plus the sabo chnages will definetly lead to some "scummy" playstiles

  • As a killer biased player this truly made me chuckle, thanks for the tips

Most of them are/were in a situation way worse then DBD. Actually, DBD is a good dream compared to what happens in real life with ppl that are kidnapped for evil purposes, by ordinary ppl. No need to be a monster to be a killer, cause the worst monsters are just humans.

    Damn, thats deep

    Not being ironic

    You blowed my mind! :O

I've been wondering for so long if survivors actually need to eat and sleep to stay alive, but it was never oficially answered :(

  • Jake is a survivor that can live of the land, so I'm quite sure that trapper is the best option as he turns the grass and plants into a survivor's disadvantage. Also yes saboteur

  • I would recommend nurse's calling on both wraith and ghostface (maybe also pig), you can easily catch them off guard healing and get an easy down if you stealth around correctly

  • You are most certainly not

    1. You are not exploiting the bug to win a game, you just want to explore and mess around
    2. In order to get banned you need to be reported, if you are playing with your friends with the objective of messing around then you are not gonna get reported by them (unless they are terrible friends)
    3. It would be bannable to do it in a public lobby where there is an objective and there is supposed to be a fair competition

    Go ahead have fun

  • Least favourite to go against would be either freddy or legion. Freddys either use bbq and pop to completely negate my progress instantly or spam blood traps at every loop (and also his confusing lunge, mix it with latency and it makes avoiding a hit by vaulting impossible). Legion is just legion, thana, sloppy and teammates who self-care

Favourite has to be nurse, they are either not very good and I get to run zig-zagging to avoid her hits or they are gods and I get to see how nurse is still the queen of DBD

  • Spine chill + Bond

No one around and the perk activates, coming for you

SC activates but someone is running around, killer is busy, dont worry

Teammate wants to heal after unhook? If sc is on I run away and find them later with bond

So many information, its like playing swf but you have to actually think

Any of these potential hues doing it for ya?

I would like a silver one tbh, its the most shiny one and can even be easy to see if they decide to make it look old and dirty

  • I love this perk and I'm so happy that its not used that much or doesnt give a dead giveaway that the survivor is using it

I would hate this perk to be considered "another meta survivor perk" and Im considered as trash for using it

    Surv:

In the Mouth of Madness: Unhook 1 survivor, get hooked in basement, open a chest, and take a protection hit in basement.

High Tension: Unhook yourself during the Endgame Collapse

A Balanced Escape: Escape once against the Hag, Cannibal, and Demogorgon

Aid through Destruction: Sabotage a hook while within 5 meters of a killer carrying a survivor. Do this in a single trial

    Killer:

He stops at nothing: Break 3 walls, pallets, and generators. Do this in one trial

Entity Disruption: Kill all 4 survivors in a single trial. Do not hook any survivor. Bleed out kills do not count. Do this in a single trial.

A Balanced Diet: Kill three survivors while as the Hag, Cannibal, and Demogorgon. (elaboration: Doing this as any killer grants 1/3 progress, so you must play all 3 to get the full challenge)

Ding... : Obtain 30 tokens on perks.

Hawkeye: Damage a survivor more than 48 meters away with a Hunting Hatchet. Do this in a single trial

The entity disruptor is actually impossible unless you play tombstone+hair thingy myers, and challenges are not supposed to force you to get dlc exclusive characters or perks

  • Survivor master/normal challenges

Gimme a sec' (Master challenge): Heal yourself from the injured state during a chase (Not heal the equivalent of a health state, just finish healing one, instaheals and perks count).

The ultimate sacrifice (Master challenge): Unhook another survivor when on your last hook, must unhook him safely (After you have being hooked 2 times)

Priorities first (Master challenge): Finish repairing a generator while on the injured state

Not over yet (Master challenge): Unhook a survivor when only the two of you are left in the trial, must unhook him safely

Site-seeing: Finish repairing 3 generators on a map's main building or room (The ones that give you trohpies, in the base maps it would be the gens spawning near or inside the main buildings, ex: The ones inside the buildings on coldwind, autoheaven and macmillan state and the one inside the asylum)

Head start: Use sprint burst when entering a chase 5 times

Bring it on!: Stun the killer while on the injured state 3 times

Last one out: Be the last survivor to escape the trial 3 times

    Killer master/normal challenges

My turn (Master): Hit a survivor shortly after being stunned 2 times

Nowhere to hide (Master): Grab a survivor of a locker 1 time

Fool's punishment (Master): Down a survivor who recently unhooked another survivor

Copycat: Use the three unique perks belonging to one killer on a different one to sacrifice 10 survivors

And there's dessert (Master): Have the last survivor alive die by the endgame collapse

I see you: Have the aura of survivors revealed to you 8 times

  • Dont bother, its great that you want to be nice and all but even if you play 100% fairly and let them have a chance you would be hit by the EZ BB KILLER. There is just no way to please the salty survivors players, most are pretty chill people though. As long as you dont facecamp when there are still many gens remaining or you dont go out of your way to focus on killing a specific player during the entire match. Just treat how you would like to be treated to play as and you should be fine

  • Actually casual outfits for Claudette, her best chest piece imo are her base jackets and the blue one on the shop, after that they are all over the top and ugly. Please, just a cool coat or a casual flannel jacket

Survivors being unhooked and immediately running to the corner of the map before they’ll let me heal them, especially with We’ll Make It and the killer nowhere in sight.

You shouldn't be able to win a match using your power exclusively, that's ridiculous. I've been playing since clown and paid good money for killers that have been nerfed immediately, yet this gimp legged relic hasn't been touched once.

Wth kinda argument is that? If you pick a killer its specifically for the advantage/powers that the killer has. Why else would you pick that killer? If you select them you think that their power is enough to help you win a game.

If you make chases without trying to use the killer's power then you are definetly not playing them correctly. Tell me one killer who doesnt rely on their power for making chases short, therefor winning you the game

  • @kcwolf1975 said:

I know it won't work like this, but it would be sweet to see bubba bust through with the chainsaw frenzy, demo dog shred through a wall, oni dash through a wall etc... Sadly it will probably be a basic animation which will be the same for all killers.

Good news! The developer notes mentioned that they were intending for them to work as pallet breaking, so killers like demo, hillbilly and BUBBA cant break them with their power just like with a pallet

Yeah I am conflicted on Plague, I don’t know if I should wait until before or after the PTB or start playing her now, I am probably going to play a game as everyone and see who I like the most

Dont worry about it, maining a survivor or killer is a process that happens naturally after many games, you start to like playing with some killers until you realize you have a favoritism for one of them

  • Recommend plague solely for her perks, dark devotion is fine but what you really want is infectious fright and corrupt intervention. The killer is ok by herself and she will get buff in the following patches so maybe she is worth the effort. You could also level up legion since discordance is also a great perk although that is not a great killer

If you want to have fun go with mikey, billy and (my personal favourite killer) demoboy. Myers is hella fun with certain builds while billy is a more casual killer with some good opportunities to make sick plays. And well, I just love playing demo myself

  • It could have been made for kill with your hand with any killer challenges for when you dont have a mori

  • Your idea seems pretty logical and reasonable, specially since the logic of high ranks being for great players makes a lot of sense

The only problem I see is that your idea is based on competitive games and their ranking systems, and this game is based in rng and player's behaviour too much for it to be a viable system

If you kill 4 survivors with a mori, are you a great player or does it make you loose points as if you were a bad player? If you get facecamped on first hook, are you a bad player? If you run the killer around for 4 minutes and no one does a single gen, are you not rewarded for looping the killer? If you encounter a 4 man swf with toolboxes and get genrushed, ending the game in five minutes are you a terrible killer?

  • I would also add David to the possible survivors, he is a fighter, he gets up when the world kicks him down and is so confident that he starts the game injured only for the extra challenge

  • If the killer managed to kill 3 players, find the last guy before they found the hatch, down him and hooked him the killer earned that 4k, as the last guy you had several chances to escape and the killer outplayed your entire team fair and square

  • I love when my camera locks on the survivor after I swing as if I've hit them but they just keep running away untouched

  • No mistakes made let him cry his salt out

  • @LordGlint said:

The way the devs have worded it is they are going to be looking at gen times as a whole after this and possibly adjusting those. As they said, ruin has been acting to cover up the problem for awhile, so they kinda needed ruin out of the way to show them just how bad it is so they can work from there. That could mean a change in gen times, a change in toolboxes, ect. Personally, I wouldnt mind if DS gets looked at with all this so I dont get stunned for downing someone with 1 second left of their DS, even if they had teammates get unhooked after them. The amount of "possible DSes" that can be active at any given time is too much to keep track of at times.

I agree with you, I totally get why ruin was nerfed, although it could have been better to tell the players in advance why they would do it.

  • Why did nobody even comment on this post this is an awesome idea

Not only it encourages a second objective to reduce gen times, it also rewards survivors for map awareness and killers for applying so much pressure that survivors cant even stop to cleanse them

The only problem I see is that it would make the winning side to have less of a chance of recovering. A killer who has most of their totems lit up due to what I mention before would have an easier time crushing their opponents while a survivor team who is doing gens fast can hinder the killer's ability by a lot abd make a comeback harder

    Great idea

  • @ModernFable said:

I wouldn’t directly opposed to something like Decisive Strike causing exhaustion so it couldn’t be used with Dead Hard, and things of that nature.

But I feel there’s a lot more they could do to reduce time the killer has to waste on miscellaneous things. I just made a post on that actually.

    I'll check it out!

But this post refers to the least the devs could do, or more of a fair way to nerf the two most used perk builds on each side (Or at least I think they are). You cant just heavily nerf the killer one without even looking at survivor one

  • At this point in match making you dont even have to try to get low rank survivors, you will have at least one yellow or even grey rank survivor as a rank 1 killer

  • When I see someone being afflicted with deep wounds abd see the thanatophobia icon un the hud. I hate going against legion

  • Unhooking a survivor, healing them and as soon as I get back on a gen another teammate goes down so I have to either work on my 50% progressed gen or go and unhook him only for another one to go down in the process

  • Which ones exactly?

Gen times? Yes they are too fast most of the times but not impossible to prevent from popping with the right plays and perks (not going to say to just apply pressure)

Broken loops? Yes they exist and yes they should be adressed, but that does not make survivors OP, without broken loops they are back to standard looping

Or maybe you think killers are Op...

NOED? Easier to counter than you may think, its been said a million times but you can break all the totems you see, or bring maps and detective's hunch to find them easily

But tell me what you think that makes either side OP in your opinion

  • This is a great idea please mods adress them

  • @YourBoyTroy said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1029664#Comment_1029664

They should limit how many times you can use DS but for Adrenaline and BT and Unbreakable and DH I think they are fine the way they are.

The lack of skill coming from killers now a days is sad, Why do you need to have aura reading perks to find survivors? There is Gens highlighted around the map.

Well I dont know, maybe you dont have time to check each gen? Maybe no one is doing a gen and the survivors are healing? Maybe those perks help you decide which gen is a priority since more than one survivor is working on them? You know that killers have to manage their time with presition since making a bad play can cost you the game

  • @gamerscrybecauseofme said:

I don't like the ruin change, it's a blatant nerf to the hex that will render it mostly useless like all other hexes beyond the insta down hexes. Thankfully, I am not a trash killer and don't use it anyway.

However, it's been great hearing about the killers dropping ranks because they can't keep up with the pace of the game at red ranks. It's about time they dropped into the ranks they deserve to play in.

Hopefully now, when I load into a trial as survivor, I get a killer that can actually play, rather than lazily rely on a totem to do all the hard work for them.

Also, I am going to love it as killer, as I will be completely unaffected by the change, like I was with every other change to nurf killers, why? Because killers are overpowered. The only chance survivors have, is with 4man swf, and even then, they get squished most the time. If you're not capable of that as killer, then enjoy the purple/green ranks or even playing some other game 👍

So you are just going to ignore the fact thst green or even yellow rank killers still play against red and purple rank survivors due to matchmaking?

And you are stating that red rank survivors are all great players when in reality most of the times they make terrible plays and desitions?

And you are forgetting the fact that it is extremely easy to rank up as survivor even of you die all of your matches
