I'm kind of with you here, to be honest. I don't really get bothered by keys or mori's when I go up against them. I don't really use mori's because I would rather get the sacrifice points, but I mean, I think what really needs to be nerfed is people overly serious attitudes towards DBD. It's literally a casual party game and yet people take it in such high regard of offense when they lose a game. It's crazy.

Using the term "cheating" is kinda STRETCHED... ( you see what i did there :D )
If Strechted Res is all of a sudden considered such a big problem (It's been a thing for 4 years) BHVR just needs to force Native Res.
Let's see how this plays out with Cross-Play and the Spaghetti Code.
This reminds me a lot of the old MLGA Topic. BHVR knew they can't do much to nothing about it. The Community knew it aswell. So they decided to put out some empty threats hoping less people would use it.
Do i think Stretched Res gives you an unfair advantage? YES I DO! But growing up with Quake 3, CS and customising configs I am enough of a realist to know that there won't be any changes. Also this game has much bigger problems than some pseudo DBD E-Sports Professionals...
They can't really force native res. They can only tell the game to follow the res set by Windows itself; which is where people enable stretched res. As far as the game is concerned, it is running in native res. It doesn't know any different.
What they need to do is lock the survivor FOV per aspect ratio.

You don't understand that the second chance perks can be intentionally used by Survivors. Someone with Decisive/Unbreakable/BT/Dead Hard will sometimes intentionally throw themselves at the Killer to buy time for their teammate.
The Killer is making a mistake if they target someone with second chance perks. Because usually that Survivor is intentionally trying to make them affected by their perks. Whether or not its balanced is up for debate. But that's not really the point, the point is that the Killer is making misplay. Yeah jumping in a locker with Decisive has no counterplay, but for the Killer to get in that scenario they made mistakes earlier on that got them there.
See, that's just a survivor sided mentality. You're not outplaying a killer by baiting for a grab during an unhook or jumping into a locker just because you have the superman perk that is DS. You're actually just being a cocky nerd. It's not a skillful play, it's just you waving your get out of jail free card around - a card you have because you ######### up and got yourself caught in the first place.
So tell me again how it's not the survivor who made the mistake.

I wouldn't say "never" because I'm sure I forgot to take into account some scenarios, so let's go with "almost never".
As for Spirit, both sides are guessing. She can't see you, remember?
She also has the advantage of sound (especially when most spirits use Stridor) to locate survivors. Where as, survivors really have no tell of where she could be. There was that myth that as she phases, the grass moves where she moves, but that was proven false.

Difference is, the survivor scenarios that have no counterplay are not the result of killer mistakes. A combination of open windows, a combination of perks, going into a locker with DS, stuff like that has absolutely nothing to do with the killers' actions.
Getting caught in a dead-end, trying to loop killers designed to counter looping, not having your eyes open when facing stealth killers, those are all survivor mistakes that result in scenarios without any counterplay.
This exactly. Survivor-sided no-counterplay situations are literally never the result of the killer being outplayed or the killer making a mistake. It's the exact opposite 90% of the time when the tables are turned. If the survivor is in a situation where they have no counterplay, it was completely their fault. They made a wrong move. Even, they still have things like DS and BT to get them out of it.
Granted, I will agree with the spirit thing. There really is no solid counterplay to her IMO. Guessing isn't a counterplay.

You will NOT get false banned if people are reporting you for cheating. They actually check reports.

I meant they have scenarios with their power that have no counterplay. Try running some loops against them Freddy or Deathslinger. They'll get you without mindgaming you even once just by brute forcing with their power
Not every scenario needs to have counterplay. If you end up in one of those, you made a mistake as a survivor and got outplayed. There's also scenarios where DS and BT have no counterplay. I DO run loops against Freddy and Deathslinger, at red ranks, pretty much every day. Perhaps you should just, you know, try harder to get better.

They want interaction. Most Killers things at get complained about feel like there's no counterplay.
Examples are like Spirit, Deathslinger and Freddy. The Survivor could play as well as possible and still lose simply because of the Killer's power mechanics not being outplayed.
You didn't honestly just say Deathslinger and Freddy have no counterplay.
Spirit I get, sure...but Deathslinger and Freddy? Get good, bud. Just get good.

This doesn't really counterargue my point, in addition to being very self-aggrandizing.
It doesn't have to counter your point. You don't really have a valid point to begin with.
My stance is simple. Do gens. Only one person can get chased at a time. There's no reason you guys should be doing anything else.
-
If that was truly what survivors wanted, why are they always crying for nerfs, and crying when one of their OP perks gets nerfed? Why was there hysteria when people realized triangleface countered DS and BT?
Survivors don't want to face good killers. They want to FEEL like they are facing good killers, so when they win, they feel like they accomplished something.

That's a really extreme position to take. Not everyone is playing at peak 100% efficiency at all times. This isn't the Olympics.
The issue is, I have Kindred. I run it religiously. There's no reason for everyone to be running for the save. Even moreso, if I get hooked and everyone is urban evading in a corner, again, I dip. Get on a gen, and you get the privilege of having me as a team mate; and believe me, most survivor teams need someone like me on their team to survive. I can actually run killers.
-
I mean, unless I know the person. As in, they are literally on my friends list.
Other than that, no. Cause I'm not a toxic piece of crap. Everyone tunneling and mori-ing streamers - y'all need to grow up. :)

If I get hooked and see that at least one of my team mates isn't on a gen, I dip. Immediately.

Honestly, I would rather them all be third person.

Well as I said some people are running this game very smoothly but they might have less good performance when playing with the new graphic update. Maybe they don't really care about having more detailed graphics and don't really want to have lesser performance. It still needs to be an accessible game that of which you can change the parameters.
More graphical options to the game would be essential in my opinion, then again I'm also hyped for this, but I fear for my performance.
DBD is the kind of game that requires a unified experience for everyone. You can't have one person with so much less detail than another. It wouldn't be fair.
-
I actually don't like the idea. The DBD community as a whole isn't mature enough to handle that kind of power.
-
Or maybe, just maybe, games shouldn't be designed around potato PC's. The new graphical update was great looking, but any PC post-2015 should be able to run it fine.
-
My universal response:
gg, nice ass
-
To bring this up - this is something that would have to be patched out. They literally can not ban for it. It doesn't modify with game files, or inject into the memory at all. Some of them even run on Java, so you literally wouldn't be able to have it blacklisted by EAC. They have to fix their stupid spaghetti code, and patch it out. That's LITERALLY the only solution.
You don't even need to use the programs to do this. You can literally open the log file in note pad. It's literally in plain text if you know what you're looking for, which I won't divulge here. I say this so directly because maybe, just maybe, it will light a fire up their ass and fix it.

There was some amazing Old Freddy players, doesn't mean he was good. Same thing with Clown now, I guarantee there are some Clown Mains who can rival a Nurse or Spirit, doesn't mean the killer is good or not clunky.
Except, Clown and Freddy (new or old Freddy), the skill ceiling for Nurse hasn't even been touched yet.

debatable. She's very clunky and hard too control and I'd rather just learn an easier killer that's better called Spirit.
If that were true, and it was really the games fault, there would be no good Nurse players; like Marth.

Well this isn't quite right either. By design any one survivor can be caught in an average of 30-45 seconds against a competent killer. Not top 1 percent, but a survivor who isn't caught flat footed will be able to run you for 30-45 seconds from full health to down. An injured survivor it might be quite a bit less.
I can conjure the wireframe of every map configuration I've seen, into my head, and I can only think of a very few situations where a competent killer (not top 1 percent, just competent) can't get you. If a killer has to chase you for 1.5 minutes to catch you, solo, alone, they have already lost the game entirely. If you are aware of a situation where a competent killer who is intent on catching them (not top tier, just even merely competent) can be run around for more than about 45 seconds without some kind of exploit, then that's impressive and surprising.
Now 45 seconds is enough for 1.5 gens to be done, so it's still not ideal, but the game is designed around survivors going down after about 30-45 seconds, and in the new fixed maps, this is borne out (given you need 9+ hook actions to even have a hope of ranking up in red ranks)
It is right, actually. Anyone CAN be caught. It's also possible to run the killer for 5 gens. By design, any survivor can do this.
See? I can use the same argument, and it's just as valid.

I dont have any problem that Killers gain more BPs, it is a 1v4, after all. However, the increased BP-Gain combined with only having less than a third of different Add Ons in the Bloodwebs, compared to Survivor make it WAY easier for a Killer to get into a game with their preferred Add On Combination all the time.
Again, that is a red herring argument. What are your preferred addons? I'm curious what they are, because apparently they are extremely rare.
Let me guess...toolbox charges? Key preservation? Styptic? lol

I believe you’re referring to the old infinite loop system. No it’s not possible to avoid getting caught. You can’t loop the killer forever. Maybe in the green and yellow ranks. But red rank killers aren’t new to your mind games lmao. Cmon be realistic. but even running the killer isn’t enough to get you a pip. You lose rank because that’s all you did. That’s not your fault. You could run flawlessly the killer will get you eventually. The game is not built like that. So when he does, you’re not allowed to play anymore? Okay. Well, I lose rank too? That’s complete nonsense. There should be something in place to protect peoples rank who are bound to the hook until the die. Black pip at least.
You believe wrong. I'm referring to now. It is PERFECTLY reasonable to believe a survivor can be good enough to avoid ever being caught. Is it 100% viable? No. Some killers will straight up be better than you, and if they are, they deserve the W. Regardless.

Ah yes, Dedicating 25% of my Perk Slots to a Perk without any other effect than BP Gain for which I either have to go out of my way and rush for Unhooks or might take Protection Hits which will not benefit my team.
And 20k Points is already quite a decent Survivor Match, while it is a bad Killer Match. Killer is more like 25k Points at least, with BBQ (4 Stacks are basically guaranteed when not complete Potato) 50k Points. On a regular Basis. 20 Games to get to the Cap.
With Bloodwebs which most likely have at least 1 or 2 of the Add Ons a Killer uses on a frequent basis.
Yay. The change was not thought through by the Devs. And saying that this was always intended (after 4 years) and not taking into account the huge difference in BP-Gain between Killers and Survivors shows it even more.
The difference in BP gain is irrelevant and a red herring argument. Killers get more BP because it's 4v1 and they have more to do as part of their objective. It's proportionate.

oh, i have the requirements to play buddy, that how im even in this forum, this penalty thing is way to far, and not just the DBD discriminating gamers, its also the salty people like you, that don't understand a dam thing, it is discriminating if they ban you for the wrong reason, im tired of people saying that, it my fault that my internet goes out, if that is true, then why am i not allowed to fix it, or why am i not like god or jesus that can prevent this [Bad Word] from happening, in my area, getting better internet is impossible until they bring in better internet, you see, in my area, everyone receiving internet issues, and its neither mine nor the internet provider, even if we do get better internet, it wouldn't do any good, because thanks to the coronavirus, everyone is on the internet in my area, not on mine specificly, just that everyone on the same kind, because internet lines cross over 1 another, that sabotage everyones internet speed no matter what they paid for, and im defininantly not getting frontier, their the worse, and their outage is also worse, and there speed, OMG!!!!!!!!!! it sucks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! suddenlink internet has outage themselves, depending on the weather, we get outages like crazy, because suddenlink hasn't fixed their main line yet, so if you don't want to help us, then stfu and mind your own dam business, because we don't need your discriminating comments in here, we need this issue to be resolved, not make it worse, this penalty had made this game worse than any other games, especially when there is only 1 game mode that this game has to offer, very bad move if they expect a game to have 1 game mode, and then put a penalty on it, i wouldn't even bought the game if i knew they where gonna add this crap in here, and knew how it effects people like me, oh, keeping people in the match that they don't want to be in, due to trolls and cheaters, well, thats basicly holding us hostage, we don't want to deal with that kind of mess, like me on call of duty, i see a cheater, i want out of the match pronto, and find a different match, if people have to stay in the match to deal with this crap, its a very bad idea, my mental state especially can't handle being in a match with a cheater, nor handle a penalty ban, thats why im here, to demand a resolve with the issue, it appears that this is created just for the cheaters and the trolls to take advantage of, [Bad Word] people off, and they quit, and the timer gets added, theres no reset on the timer which frustrates me even worse, and there no limit to the penalty, DBD has discriminated me 3 times already, which is giving itself a bad name, and you guys supporting the rule so it would give you guys a reason to bully till the point they go absolute insane and then come onto the forum to discriminate people on it till they go insane, thats the only reason why you even searched for this specific forum, so you discrinators can make matters worse, either help us, or stay out of our way
There's this nifty button that most (if not all!) keyboards have. It's called "enter" or "return". Use it.

Killers are named based on the survivors, giving them nicknames so they can keep track on how to beat em. It strikes me as odd for some names:
The demogorgon, I don't think any survivor would know what this is but still it is called that way. If I had to make a fanfiction I could justify the naming in some way, like Nancy and Steve know it's real name, so they spread their knowledge around the campfire.
The deathslinger, ok I have some mixed feelings. It couldn't be impossible to call someone deathslinger, but why call him that when you can call him cowboy or the sheriff? Besides, every non-american character (or generally every character that doesn't have English as their mother language) shouldn't know what deathslinger means, but still, you can get away with it.
The Oni is no different from the last one, but I could guess people knowing what an Oni is, so it's forgivable.
And the new killer, which I bet will have the same naming.
What do you guys think? Let me know down below.
You're overthinking this. Stop doing this to yourself.

So let me get this straight. First of all, I’ve been seeing often Red rank and Rank 1 killers that camp and tunnel hooks? How effective is this system where killers lose rank or BP for staying next to a hook the whole game? Clearly not effective enough if these proxy camping, tunneling killers are red rank still. Yet survivors lose rank over this? How is this their fault? Why does the camped/tunneled survivor gain so little BP and get de-ranked for something they had no control over?
I mean, to be fair, the survivor got caught. If you're a decent survivor who can loop worth a damn, it's completely possible to avoid getting caught.

cant agree more with that . at most they can lower the times and have no 6 or 24 hour bans that's just uncalled for.
It's not uncalled for. At all. In order to get to 6 and 24 hours, you have to DC 6 and 8 times respectively (Personally tested on an alt account, and I hardly think it would be different for someone else) in a short time span. At that point, it's not the game crashing, and it's not everyone elses fault. It's you for being a sore loser and disconnecting.

that is a stupid point , killers don't do more , okay then if i go solo as survvior i will expect a free 100 % bloodpoint boost after all now that i am solo i am doing more
also them gaining more bp is the smallest diff as too why its okay for them to loose addons compare to why survivors shouldnt they have 40 items in their bloodwebs , survivors have 100+ , survivors legit need 5 x more bloodpoints compare to killer to get the same value out of their bloodwebs and yet they gain less

So last patch came with a bunch of changes to maps with noteable issues. This is what the game needed & it still currently needs this on a good amount of maps. The maps I feel need some looking into are:
Disturbed Ward (most in need of fixing, too big & main building too safe)
Haddonfield (we all know why it needs fixing)
Mount Ormond (too big, too many jungle gyms next to one another)
Mother's Dwelling (too big, god loop in house)
Fractured Cowshed (barn is still kinda broken with 2 open windows)
Badham Preschool (a lot of high value pallets in my opinion, gen spacing could be reduced a bit)
The Game (too killer-sided)
Yamaoka Estate (both maps are blendette feeding grounds, Family Residence is too long with few pallets in the middle section)
Feel free to comment other maps you feel need looking into or how certain updates to maps didn't fully resolve specific issues found in them. I would also say that tiles need to be remodeled or that more tile types need to be added. This would shake up how survivors loop & how killers mindgame. Looping shouldn't be as repetitive as it is.
Disturbed Ward: Agree.
Haddonfield: Agree, as both killer and survivor, the Haddonwalls are annoying.
Mount Ormond: Just spacing out the jungle gyms would be sufficient. The size of it overall isn't that big.
Mothers Dwelling: Just too big. The middle structure isn't much of an issue if you aren't pepega at killer.
Fractured Cowshed: One of those Windows has a door literally right next to it. It's fine.
Badham: It's fine. EVERY pallet on there is playable by either side. It's not even a big map, either.
The Game: It's only killer sided if you let it be. Ironically, it's my most escaped map. A reMASTER, perhaps, but it's structure is fine. You can't make the "killer sided argument" when the map has LITERALLY 4 god pallets.
Yamaoka: I hate this map on both sides unless playing Ghostface.

They implement DC penalties, now you want people punished for legitimately taking the L at their own discretion? K. That will go a long way to make people want to keep playing.
You can punish people for DCing abruptly, you can NOT, under ANY circumstances, go as far as punishment for dying on hook, because you can't FORCE people to play your game.
