Marth. From a pure skill standpoint.
Any other answer is wrong.

Usually means lack of interaction/chases, and more having to spend time on gens, mending, healing etc.
Think legion. He will get his almost free frenzy hit then move on. No real chase. No you have to mend, then get back on the gen. When he eventually downs someone, he will do the same thing. Frenzy 2 people and run away, then try to down the third.
Very boring. And yet legion is pretty easy to "bully".
Slow down Freddy, usually means when there are one or two gens left Freddy will spend more time kicking gens and regressing gen progress then committing to chases.
I'm going to have to call a massive amount of BS on the "lack of interaction/chases" bit. Based purely on the fact that the only killers people tend to complain about being "boring" are the ones that are actually effective in chases. Deathslinger, Freddy, Huntress, Oni, Spirit etc.
You NEVER hear the same sentiments echoed about Clown, Wraith or Leatherface. Nobody has an issue with those for some reason. Maybe this isn't the case for you, but this is observable with much of the survivor player base. Even in the content creator field. From Puppers to ANGRYPUG, they all consistently complain about the same killers as being "boring" when the only key difference between them and other killers is that they have anti-loop mechanics.
"boring" is just code for "effective"
I guess you're half right. They can't lead certain killers on a 3 gen chase, therefore, no chase potential, and "boring".

All killers. Zero killers are OP. In any way, shape or form. Some ADDONS are OP, but there is no OP killer.

But these are similar complaints that Legion gets and you can loop him just fine? Get off your high horse.
What you said literally did nothing to take away from my point; and it's not a matter of me being on a "high horse". It's a fact.
-
Meanwhile, we'll be waiting minimum 3 months for a fix to Wraith (who they manage to break something about with literally every other patch), and Billy.
-
Simple answer: Survivors tend to be whiney little brats when they face a killer that running around in a circle (sorry, looping super skillfully) doesn't work on.
-
If we went by what was "unfun", that would be stupid. "Unfun" is subjective, and generally being negligent all game to the point where you don't cleanse totems, and then getting hit with NOED is unfun. Fortunately, the solution is in your hands.
-
I would say "Okay, allow it to stack". But then, make the survivor show up on Nurse's Calling when using it.
-
No.
-
I de-stress by going in as Oni and slugging everyone early, and letting them all bleed out.
You'd be surprised how little people run unbreakabill. At least in my games.

Unfortunately you can't, but as they're doing it before the collapse started, it would be reportable.
Now, I'm not advocating the behavior by this Hag in any way. Body blocking a survivor in a corner is horse #########, BUT, I think when saying "it's reportable because the EGC hasn't started yet", one needs to keep in mind that the generators were done, and the gates were more than likely 99'd. So that's a bit of a touchy judgement call that could theoretically go both ways. Since the EGC not being on was all down to a survivor strategy.

No, NoED rewards camping. Survivors do gens when killers Camp. They don't have time to do totems too in those instances.
Incorrect. Survivors reward camping. If a killer is camping, they are in no position to stop totems from getting cleansed.
There is PLENTY of time. Unless literally nobody on your team can run the killer, then it becomes a skill issue, in which case, the old term "git gud" comes into play. Stop blaming your gameplay screwups on everyone else and admit when you're the problem.

That really sucks. The last survivor already got quite a raw deal as far as hooks are concerned, and survivors earn less BP than killers organically. This is a really terrible change.
Killers earn more BP because they are 1 player against 4. It's perfectly equal.
@alaenyia said:
Well that is a bunch of crap! It already sucked when you were 1st hooked as last survivor and didn't get to even try to take advantage of deliverance or even just get your 800. This just cucks survivors a little harder, in a patch that already gave a hard middle finger to all survivors. Jeez, thanks BHVR.
If you and your entire team pepega'd and you're the last one alive, why are you entitled to even more second chances?

I agree NOED isn't that strong of a perk against good survivors, but there are other reasons to complain about the perk. The big ones being how it emphasizes the solo-swf divide and how it rewards "bad" playstyles like camping. Not a huge problem, but definitely unhealthy.
I wouldn't say it rewards camping. If NOED exists at the end of a game where a killer camped all game and didn't defend anything, gens or totems alike, it sounds like another case of survivors just being too lazy to get the full job done. You are however right, though. Against good players, NOED means nothing for the most part. That's how you can so easily brand the ones who complain about it as mediocre at best.

Only bad lazy killers defend NOED.
Period.
See, that argument doesn't work both ways, Mr. Entitled Survivor Main. NOED is deactivated all game. It doesn't exist until the end. It can be prevented entirely FROM existing - and the ones who control whether it exists or not...wait for it...survivors. So, be less lazy. :)
Also, stop using DS and Adrenaline. Then you can complain about NOED. Until then, run along and keep dying to NOED because you didn't cleanse totems.
You will never win this argument.

1. Not just for failing but often times for playing toxic. For instance if a killer face camps or brings an ebony mori the survivors are essentially forced to gen rush. Cleansing totems in this scenerio is just not feasible even with totem hunting perks. Especially now that many maps have been reworked to favor killers even more. Anyone who plays survivor at any considerable length understands this. NOED on a face camping leatherface is near impossible to counter.
2. I would say this is true in certain situations. Not when survivors are forced to gen rush (see 1). In situations where the killer doesn't have a mori, hasn't face camped anyone, only had hooks on a few survivors then the survivors dont need to rush the last gen and obviously had plenty of time to do totems.
3. Certainly punishes survivors for playing smart and effective in cases of ebony moris and facecamping. But if none of those are involved I would say it's a failure of killer and survivor.
4. This is the most laughable view. Killers dont protect dull totems.
5. Yes but sometimes survivors have to gen rush as stated in 1.
Basically NOED without any other toxic killer play is fine. But when you're dealing with an ebony mori killer or facecamping bubba and then have to deal with NOED at the end to top it all off it becomes stupid and broken.
I just want to bring up the end of your post. Bringing an item or offering, or using a certain playstyle (camping, in this case, which is a legitimate playstyle), no matter how much you disapprove of it's existence, is never toxic. It's in the game.
-
Only bad, lazy survivors complain about NOED.

Can we ######### apretiate the devs for once their doing their best. Coding is hard it takes time and when you add something its bound to mess something else up. Give them a break their probally burnt out by now doing the same thing over and over just to get berated by selfish people who want everything to be perfect. You try making a game even half as decent as this one and you'll see that its hard. So stop complaining and just enjoy the damn game.
Let's back the forgiveness and patience train up here for a moment, and pump the white knight brakes.
Ever since the dawn of this game, with every single patch they release, not only do they break something (and it's usually something they have broken countless times before, like audio), but they do things that nobody asked for. Not to mention all their absolutely abysmal balance choices (such as the ruin nerf BEFORE maps were changed, when it should have been at the same time). Add that to the fact that they started doing PTB's a long time ago, and you'd think "Oh, pre-release beta's! This will lessen the bugs/issues!", only to realize that the actual release 90% of the time releases in nearly the exact same sate as it was in the PTB.
So, with them breaking vital things with nearly every single update, and not actually making good use of a PTB even once in their history....and then this HUGE mess of a buggy update, if this is their "best"...my god they need to have some serious retraining done.

A poorly optimised game doesn't like certain combinations and can't fully utilise on them. Bottleneck is a poorly optimised system. But dbd is a poorly optimised software.
That's not how hardware works. A video card doesn't suddenly become worse when attached to a different processor or RAM, unless it's, as I said, a bottleneck.

I actually think that it is perfectly reasonable for a dc to give the killer a sacrifice.
No. just no. A sacrifice with minimal effort? It will entice killers to play like dicks.
The correct solution would be that if someone DC's, the game would only then count towards bloodpoints and not pips. Boom, problem solved. Nobody loses anything.

Poorly optimised game. Your setup (motherboard, ram etc) is just a lucky combination for DbD.
There's no such thing as a "lucky" combination of hardware. A GPU is still the same GPU no matter what CPU it's paired with. Lucky combinations don't exist because bottlenecks exist.

Not equally. One can lose points, the other almost always loses the game and points. I’m a survivor main, and sometimes you get out with only three left, but usually that’s because the killer decides to take it easy on everybody.
Yes, equally. You might not see that because of your clear survivor bias, but as a survivor main myself, the downsides are equal. This is by design. Would you want the same treatment if someone killed themselves on their first hook?
Killers should get an automatic sacrifice if someone DC's, going by your broken and biased logic.

Regardless of a DC, a killer can still at least black pip. In terms of gameplay, which is what a game is, the killer is majorly advantaged by dc’ing survivors.
That's a non argument. A killer can at least black pip, sure, but all remaining survivors can potentially fully pip. Both sides are disadvantaged and punished.

They are an addon in the game. So yes.
An iri head is only as good as the person throwing the hatchet. Once you know they have iri heads, you can play around it cause you know that addon means they are terrible at huntress in 99% of cases. Learn to dodge hatchets. Don't let them bait a pallet drop out of you.

Not everything has a solution. It’s not the killer who is at a disadvantage when the first survivor downed DC’s.
Actually, they are. If someone DC's, they lose a lot in terms of points, rank possibility (if that's something they care about) etc. A DC cripples their ability to level up. Which is why a good amount of killers simply throw the game when there's a DC. Because they directly get punished for a SURVIVOR DC.

Bethesda have a biger devlopement team, They had a pre-release beta for Fallout 76 and it probably their most buggy game ever. They use the same old engine that they barely update so you get some bug that are common across all their games.
That and I can assure you any game with PTB still has tons of bug. I agree too that BHVR take year to fix or update anything.
Fromsoftware also fixed barely any bugs in DS remastered, and it not like Fromsoftware has a bad rep of a game designer.
Bigger dev team is a false argument. They have dev teams as large as they need to be. DBD doesn't need a larger dev team for the linear game it is. There's not a lot to DBD.
Look at the dev team behind Black Mesa. They created a total masterpiece. Much of it completely redone in the last couple years...and there's like 10 of them.

I came back to check out the ptb. With god loops gone at least maybe killer will be worth playing.
I respect good killers. I watch many on twitch/youtube. People who put in effort and mindgame and know what they’re doing.
Proxy camp and tunnel really does take little effort and there are thousands of survivors out there willing to throw themselves at hooks to make it happen.
And yet, you continue to no-life the forums and can't stop talking about a game you claim not to even play anymore.

With the new map changes survivors are dropping like flies and there's literally no time to do totems. I've had to sacrifice teammates just to ensure my gens get done. Forget about totems.

How is it not? Bet you can't answer. I've challenged so many killers in the past few months and not one single killer has been able to provide a reasonable response.
- Almost every time something on the survivor side is nerfed, trade offs are given in return. For example - balanced landing was changed to a full on exhaustion perk, and in return was given the silent drop. Killers are hardly ever given something in return. They just lose things for the most part.
- Literally everything on the survivor side takes a higher priority on the fix list than killer. Example over the last 4 years being the countless times sounds have been broken (which has notoriously had a much larger negative effect on killers). Sounds are broken with almost every major patch, as well. For a more recent example, the Wraith and Spirit's post-cloak/phase lunge was completely broken (which in turn leaves them largely broken as killers), and took months to fix. DS was broken after the Doctor rework. Was fixed in a couple of days. GOD LOOPS like ironworks window etc have only NOW just been fixed.
- Freddy was nerfed into the ground within 2 days of him releasing, and it took them ALMOST TWO YEARS to fix him.
- The DS nerf turned out to be a buff.
- While both sides have second chance perks/addons. Survivors have them on a much wider scale.
Just to name a few things. I'm sorry you're wrong.
Tell you what, come up with some things about survivor that make them legitimately underpowered vs killers. Keeping in mind this is a 4v1 asymmetrical PVP game and survivors SHOULD be the inherently weaker role, you tell me what about survivor is underpowered vs killer. "I bet you can't".

They could've cancelled it because everyones at home, which includes things like the archives, but instead the worked on it. They're working hard for us despite the limitations.
To get respect, you need to give respect. Every time the devs release a half-assed update like this, it's like a slap in the community's face. They clearly have no regard or respect for us if they are so willing to do this with literally every update. Just because the world is in shambles right now doesn't change that. The update would have been in the same state had the world been in a normal state.

It was never balance that they were actively looking for. This game is, and always will be, 100% killer-sided. They've made that clear through continuous nerfing of survivors patch after patch. The ONLY reason they did the ruin nerf is because they knew if they pushed anymore without throwing survivors a bone, even a little one, it was gonna be a ######### show.
I really hope survivors speak with their wallets tomorrow when the rift is released and choose not to pay for it. Paying for a straight-line running simulator just isn't cool.
I actually LOL'd at this statement.

I would normally agree with this, but if you know the history of this game, and the situation with *every single update* they release, you have to forgive people for just being fed up with updates being half-assed like this. True. Survivors are required to cleanse dull totems to get rid of NOED before end game. Survivors are not required to cleanse dull totems to escape.
I compare it to DS. Not everyone can be the obsession, but everyone can have DS. You have a group of 4 identical Blendette's. Hard to keep track of sometimes. You down one...was that the one you just hooked? Do you pick them up? Do they have DS? Don't know. Do you risk it for the biscuit or take safe method and leave them slugged?
Same with NOED. By most points in a game, an experienced survivor will know what perks the killer is using. They are usually pretty obvious. Except, sometimes, you can't account for the 4th perk. You have one gen left. Do you go cleanse totems? Or do you risk NOED? Do they even have it? Don't know.

Interesting observation, this could not be considered a viable strategy for countering NOED however. A killer could behave like that whether or not they have NOED, and not all killers that have it will behave like that. I will admit this is good advice for casual players.
I didn't present it as a NOED counter. It was a side note. The NOED counter is the fact that survivors have complete control over it's existence. Even moreso with a perk like Detectives Hunch or to a less extent, Small Game.
