Your cloud ID is what we would need to add shards to your account, so without that, you would not be eligible to win. In the future, we'll try to ask for an email instead so we can contact the winners for their ID when it's convenient.
I've put in my steam account, and I truly hope that it will count. And that's what you should do in the future to prevent people from taking the exam too many times with hundreds of different emails.
May I also say that this was a great thing, and we certainly need more of these interactions with the community! I admit that I am overly-critical, but I have to applaud you guys and gals on this one.

The only thing that bothers me about his talking is the fact that I completely forget he does that. It usually scares the ######### out of me.

They started doing secret rooms. In Hawkins, for example, you can blink into one with nurse.
There is supposedly one hidden in the Oni map, but as far as I know the devs still claim that nobody has found it to this day. So try your luck there, maybe you'll be the lucky one!

samantathespirit on YT according to some people the best spirit main in the world made a video some months ago explaining the basics.
She is using 2k€ headphones. She can hear you standing still across half the map. Anyone could be a pro spirit with such an investment.

I had great success with Corrupt, Surveillance, M&A and Pop. M&A lowers your terror radius, surv. lets you know which gens are being worked on so you can sneak up behind people and get free stalk, or know which gens to kick with your pop. Corrupt is just a great early game perk. You can also change it out for something like surge or whatever if you don't struggle with the early game.

Plague should be able to see the buildup meter. There are no downsides for either of the parties here. You're gonna start vomiting anyway, and the Plague can see how far along the survivor is in a chase, which would be a slight, but very much needed buff for her.
Pig should stay as is to prevent tunneling.
Deep wound on any killer is a tricky one though. I personally think that the killer should be able to see it. But, at the same time, do you really need to see it? It is such a boring mechanic anyway, and everyone in their right mind will start to mend as soon as they are out of the chase, so I really don't see the point in either seeing it or not, to be perfectly honest.
-
Since they are doing a graphical update on all the maps this year, I expect them to tackle the old skins as well. I am pretty sure they won't leave that out.

None. Don't have a favorite. Charms are okay, I guess, but it wouldn't bother me in the slightest if they got removed today.

The issue that I have with Russian players is not so much toxicity or all-russian chat. The issue that I have is that because the EU server is quite far away from them they usually have medium to high pings. This is not fair for EU players.
The devs said that they are not considering adding a Russian server, so they don't really care.

@drimmalor said:
A perfectly innocent message can easily be thought of as a problem - for example spamming "Good luck" could become a new "toxic" thing. Other games with pre-determined "chat" messages have this problem. So then it becomes a matter of going into a game potentially annoyed, or dodging "because the killer used the chat". The best you can do now is just ready/unready quickly if you really want to signal someone to ready up.
That's why you could limit the message to once per 30s to prevent spamming.
I still don't want to see this function, though. Regardless if it is for the survivors or the killer to see. Let's say a killer uses the "Ready up" one, and that one survivor is like "Nah mate, not gonna do it now just to spite you." It's just not worth the potential toxicity that would manifest itself in the trial once it is played out, or in the post-game chat.
What I suggest is that the time limit to ready up drops down to 45s or even less. You are not switching your builds that often, and equipping fresh items/addons/offerings is not time-consuming enough to justify the one minute mark.

It's a core part of the games ambiance. If you want worse graphics, buy a console.
Check this out, and see for yourself. Volumetric anything only makes the graphics look better. That's it. There is no advantages that anyone would gain by turning it off other than huge FPS increase. I'm sure you won't read the whole article, or even bother to look at the images, so let me just cite this out in hopes that you read this post at least.
"Typically, Volumetric Lighting and Volumetric Fog can be some of the most demanding graphics settings found in games, full stop. Typical frame rate drops from turning up Volumetric settings vary from 5-40% FPS drops depending on the game and how intense the effects are. "
Mist =/= volumetric fog. Anyone who is against settings like this has absolutely no idea what they are talking about. Also, stop with the "Get a better PC." There are people out there who can save up 10 or 20 bucks a month at best. Stop being an entitled POS.

Don't argue with Orion. He is a hardcore killer main who hasn't played a single game as a survivor. He would probably like all survivors to spawn on hooks.

Pick only ONE for each of the existing licensed survivors. It doesn't matter if it's male or female, as long as it's a character from the franchise. Remember, only one per 'slot'.
Laurie Stode - Halloween
Dr Sam Loomis
Quentin Smith - A Nightmare On Elm Street
Nancy Holbrook
Detective David Tapp - Saw
Adam Stanheight
Nancy Wheeler - Stranger Things
Joyce Byers
Steve Harrington - Stranger Things
Jim Hopper
Cheryl Mason - Silent Hill
James Sutherland
I'd buy, and main the living ######### out of Hopper. Such a badass guy.

Well, they really don't. I've seen players with 150-200h in the red ranks. Back when I started you'd be nowhere near red ranks with so little hours.
-
Is this bait? You can't possibly be serious.
-
I guess you could have the system make an exception if you have a challenge equipped, but knowing BHVR they're probably to lazy to do that. So yeah, it does.
-
I've had my fair share of wallhackers, but this? Holy hell.
-
The issue is that the devs can't prove wallhacking, so they don't ban for it even if you send in videos. As long as they will rely on the crap-tier EAC it won't change.
-
You can't teach them a damn thing, because you have no idea what your team is doing in the mean time. Tunneling and camping teaches new killers that it is effective simply because the ranking system is so awful that you have people with 100h in the red ranks.
-
Holy hell. How overpriced can they even get? 20 bucks for A MUG? No thanks.

Selfcare is not that bad. It is bad when people die on hook while someone selfcares, sure. But That's not the perk, that's the survivor. That survivor could also just say "nah, I'm injured, can't go for the save. I'll hide until someone heals me". Same result, maybe even worse because the survivor won't be helpful for an even longer time.
Thing is, if you are healed up, you are not "exposed" anymore. If you can extend the chase with that extra hit, it gives other survivors extra time on gens. Yeah, some people say, it HAS to extend the chase 32 seconds because you wasted that time on healing. Actually 11 seconds is enough because 3 people could work on gens in that time, meaning 33 seconds gen progress. And there was a video for comparing clown gas differences. Without any perks or powers or addons to end the chase quicker or close distance faster, you need 26 seconds to catch up to a survivor you hit, if the survivor just runs in a straight line. I'd say that's worth it. It is just not worth it if you run against killers like Legion for example, that can easily keep multiple survivors injured. Because then you never get out of the healing mode.
Btw, one survivor healing himself with Selfcare takes 32 seconds. One survivor healing another survivor takes 16 seconds, while 2 people are busy with it. 16*2 = 32. Same amount of "lost" time. When you go to someone on a gen and let him heal you, it would be actually more efficient to use selfcare, because when you join him, you both get slowdown on the gen. Better let yourself don't do the gen for 32 seconds while the other one can work with 100% efficiency, than having 0% efficiency for 16 seconds and then 170% . You get less progress after 32 seconds.
The only really valuable thing over Selfcare is, when you team up to heal. 2 people healing someone takes 8 seconds, times 3 for 3 people being busy is 24 seconds.
Selfcare is trash. You have medkits that will do the same thing but much faster. If you're afraid you're gonna run out then bring a chest looting build with pharmacy.

Except unlike Freddy, when he's leaving a trail he has severely limited movement, so it's easy enough to run around the loop, break LoS, and leave the loop while he's still busy leaving a trail or trying to use his ranged attack. His counterplay is like Nurse where you want to always make distance between you and him instead of looping.
I don't have to play the PTB to know Survivors don't take it seriously or play well. PH's weaknesses will be much more apparent when actual good Survivor teams face him and people aren't just running through the trails without a second thought.
Also, drop the snark. This is a friendly discussion.
You're not even reading what we're all writing. He DROPS TO 110%. You're not gonna lose LOS against that speed. You're not gonna break the loop against that speed. All he needs to do is use his power for literally 1 second, just to drop a small trail at the loop. That's all. If the survivor tries running away he will either get M1, or caught with the ranged attack if he is now out in the open.
He can either force you to torment yourself, and he will save time after he gets you, or he can force you to abandon the loop which will more often than not result in an easy hit, and he will save time with that as well.
I hate killer mains with such an insane bias with a passion, not gonna lie. That's the reason for the snark, and fully deserved as well. Play the PTB, and experience the killer from the survivor's standpoint.
-
He can use his power to leave a trail at a loop just like Freddy would leave a snare. He slowdown is barely noticeable, and not nearly huge enough for the survivor to get to the next loop.
It's a good thing that you said that you watched videos of the PTB. If you would have actually tried it for yourself you'd see that your post makes zero sense.
-
It is one of those things that needs to be fixed. It is either extremely bad for the last survivor, or extremely bad for the killer. There is rarely a great in-between situation. What makes me sceptical that they will change it is the new map. The gates there are unfortunately very killer-sided, and they always spawn at the same location. You can expect quite a lot of complaints about that one.
-
Lol at everyone here pissed cause their favorite art didn't win. I love that Claudette skin, and I will wear that thong proudly.
-
You can still edit the game files to boost your FPS. They even gave us back the codes to disable AA, after they locked it in. Nothing has been changed in that aspect. Fog and red stain are hard-coded now, as far as I am aware, and they should be.
There are new, improved graphics coming this year as well. If you can't play the game now then don't expect to be playing it when those patches come out. You will have to save up some money, and buy a new PC, that's just how it is. You can't expect to play modern games on a bad laptop that wasn't meant for gaming.

If this was truly the case, then Leatherface should be a superior Hillbilly, and ol' Billy should be one of the weakest characters in the game. Certainly not in the top 3, and the easiest to learn of all of them.
Bubba was a rushed killer, that's why he's so bad. The devs themselves said it as well. They literally copy-pasted add-ons from Billy to him. If they were given proper time back then, Bubba would probably be completely different to what we have now.

Absolutely it's a possibility. If we can get Jason by cutting corners, I'm all for it.
But I'm not sure how BHVR feel about the prospect of space.
It would give for a lot of possibilities though. Obviously, it would be an indoor map, but a space ship one. So you could look out the windows and only see space all around you. No Earth, no Sun, no nothing. You're literally nowhere, and you're stuck with a killer onboard. That's horrifying. Lockers could be modified to wardrobes to fit the map. Survivors on the last hook could be yeeted out of the ship by the means of the hook. Just imagine repairing a gen, and looking out through the window and seeing a dead Dwight floating away.
-
How about Jason X? The space one. Yes, the movie was freaking awful, but Jason is still Jason, and I would personally love a space-themed map.
-
I bought all the DLCs except one, and I spent 10$ for the rift. So that's what, about 130$ish all together?
-
Just make it effect all the hooks on the map, but the killer has to be a certain radius away from the hook for it to work, let's say 32m. This would make it a great perk, and it would put the survivors on the spot as well. Are you going to finish that gen or are you going to get your teammate off the hook?

You mean SWF. Which is given a far better chance at flashlight saves. Devs giving an advantage to SWF? What a shocker.
I save people regularly if I find a flashlight, and I'm playing solo. Not every player is a complete potato and not every team you face that kicks your ass is SWF, whether you like it or not. What a shocker, huh?
As far as the topic is concerned. They only need to remove the ability of being blinded outside of the killer's FOV. Other than that flashlights are completely fine. If you're annoyed by the click spamming then bring Franklin's if you see a flashlight in the lobby. If you get blinded regularly, bring Lightborn. You have all the tools you need to counter the survivors.
-
The Descent chapter.
Crawler as killer and either Sarah and Juno as survivor. I would honestly love a chapter that would bring a cave map with it. Unfortunately for The Descent, the creatures aren't really killer worthy in DBD, imo.

This is getting beyond frustrating at this point.
NOED totem, sure we won't know till the very endgame.
But otherwise?
I've seen players who just walk right pass a HEX totem and rather go straight to the gen right next to it.
Isn't it more sensible for people to cleanse first then gen?
Both will signal the killer once done, but gens you can come back to it while HEX totems will affect the game as it stays.
As others have explained - skilled players will always check for signs to find out what the totem actually is. Mindlessly cleansing hex totems is what gets your team killed.

@Splinterverse said:
As a survivor main, I'd be okay with BHVR hiding the player names. However, playing devil's advocate, I do see a reason why the killer needs to see the names. Say you are a killer running an obsession perk. Yes, you don't know who your obsession is while in the lobby. But, if you memorized the names that go with the looks, when you get into the match you will know which one of them is your survivor so you can avoid or pursue them appropriately based on your obsession perk. The alternative is that you have to hit them to find out, which can have a negative effect depending on the obsession perk.
No, you don't have to hit them. You see the claws moving. There is absolutely no reason for the lobby names to still be a thing in 2020.

That's the 2nd teaser. The first was exactly the same minus that skull. The 3rd, 4th, and 5th teasers you can see covering these forums in the banners and background.
This is more or less the same type of teaser we got for the 3rd year anniversary. But unlike last years event, people use that teaser to figure out it was Ghostface. This year I don't see much more than people pulling "facts" out their backsides while ignoring the teaser and hints within it.
How is that a teaser? It's literally just an announcement.

How much should be increased in your opinion?
92%, same as Billy.
We're all talking about band-aid fixes here though, which would make him at least playable and not frustrating. I personally think that his power needs a complete redesign. Otherwise, he will always remain an inferior version of Billy with little to none map pressure.
-
- He should be able to cancel his power mid use.
- His speed when charging should be increased, because smelling what perfume the survivors are wearing to get a hit is just dumb.
- His bar needs to be fixed. I can't even tell how many times I saw it at 100%, but it actually wasn't.
- Complete rework of the add-ons.
-
Either remove the survivor names/add the killer's name/remove the ability to view steam profile in lobby.
This is also one of the things that we have been asking the devs for years, and I have yet to see them respond to it.
-
And this is why more and more people are DCing in the loading screen after seeing the secret offering. Nobody wants to play against tilted 12-year-olds.
-
Don't forget when we repeatedly ask the devs to add certain features into the game, and they keep saying that they won't because "it is not in their plans." If your community is asking you for years to add stuff like ranking/devotion rewards, reducing the grind, numerous QOL changes and not to mention hook struggle, you better make damn sure that you add it to your list of things that you WILL DO and DO THEM SOON.
And then they want to be smart asses, and say "This is one question that we get asked a lot, every stream." Yeah, because the community wants to see it added, even if you don't. Not pleasing your players will bite you in the ass sooner or later, BHVR.
