Legion suffers the same problem as doctor. Like others have mentioned before me, there is no fun to be had playing or versing either. Both will always be annoying.
-
@Peanits could you please pass this thread and suggestions to the team? Some of these ideas are great, and increasing base blood point gain is long overdue.
-
So you want survivors to get ######### over by their trash teammates who farm them in front of a killer? I'm sorry, but this sounds like you want easy kills at the expense of others.
DS should deactivate as soon as the survivor starts doing gens/the killer downs someone else (this scenario only when there are more than 2 people left in the match). There you go, DS fixed.
-
This should have been added months, if not years ago. It has nothing to do with being trash and blocking the killer/survivor(s) who are too good. I've seen people argue with that point and it just doesn't make any sense.
Secondly, if blocking A LOT of people means that you will be sitting in a lobby longer then so be it. It is a choice you made yourself.
Thirdly, I think it would help reduce toxicity. Let's say you are put in a match with a toxic player, either that be those flashlight click spamming maniacs or killers who spent the entire duration of your hook smacking you/face camping you. Or the person was seriously toxic in the post game chat and took it way too far. All of that would be thing of the past with a click of a button. Finally, players would have to start behaving like normal people. If half the community has blacklisted you and you're waiting 5h for a lobby then you just might be the ass that nobody wants to play with.
-
Myers, without a doubt.

Here's my idea. Everyone in the Healthcare should send them an ID verifying that they are in fact in Healthcare. Those people should just get an instant completion of the rift. I think it would be more than fair, especially since you guys are putting your lives on the line to save ours.
-
You got this! Keep fighting! Best of luck.
-
A number of things went wrong here, OP. First of all, you were not ending the chases quickly. That's your biggest problem. The fact that matchmaking is broken and you versed really good players is a fact, and nobody will argue with that. The map was not in your favor either. But, you cannot complain about survivors rushing the gens. This is what happens in the high ranks once people see that you brought a mori. No sane, good player will try to loop a killer with a mori. They will rush the gens like their lives depend on it (and they do).
Also, the debate of keys vs. moris that everyone is having is just dumb. You cannot possibly compare those two. Survivors need to do their objectives fully for a chance of getting the hatch. Killers only need 1 hook on each survivor when they bring a mori. That is only 33% of their objective per survivor.
-
They need to fix his stalking first. At least half of the time it doesn't even work.
-
Doctor adds another layer of difficulty when it comes to skillchecks, nothing wrong with that.
The skill check for DS is not difficult at all. You should have seen it back in its old form. And I personally think that it should be reworked back to that level of difficulty. So only the really skilled people can actually hit it.

Why don't they fix it? I think I remember it being bugged even months ago.
I think that they will fix it once they get around to reworking him. They are currently using mid-chapter patches to completely rework and/or improve old killers. There are currently killers way worse than him out there, and they need to tackle them first. Sure, his stalking can be completely gamebreaking, but he is still in a better place than say clown.
-
It wasn't always like this. His stalking is broken and he is in a really bad state currently because of that.

Year to date, all maps/all survivors/all ranks, the worst escape rate is Dwight.
Can we get those stats? It'd be really fun to see those escape rates.
-
Here is a simple solution: When we unlock a perk, it comes with all three levels. We can freely choose which level of the perk we want to use. It would reduce the grind, and enable some interesting builds.

That's a good question. 2x BP is great and all, but a lot of people jump on that and farm as much as possible. Farming matches are fine if you're just after the points, but they really ruin the game for people who want to play the game normally. It's normally not a big deal since they're only four days long, but since this one is three weeks long, we don't want it to get in the way of normal gameplay for that long.
Good call!

If BHVR actually started handing out bans (temporary or not) instead of just claiming that they do, we would not have this issue, and the game would be a whole less toxic. Someone is going to get swatted one of these days, and some of you, along with BHVR, will be wondering how it happened.
-
This happened 6 months ago, so I would hope soon™?
-
I would say about 5h per day. I finished with 13 days to spare. I only completed a couple of challenges in the last archive before hitting 70.
-
We've head numerous of these threads. It seems like we won't get it. @Peanits even said he would send our suggestion to the higher-ups. Any development on that?
-
Nothing new. The devs don't ban for it either (don't even try to @ me - had multiple cases of this exact thing happening, sent the video proof, and those folks are still playing to this day). This is going to go on until they make the server the one responsible for confirming hits, not the killer's side.
-
Halloween and Demise of the Faithful, without a doubt.

Ok let's switch it a bit. The survivors three gen themselves and the killer is very competent, denying the survivors to even get 50% on a gen. One survivor has a key, so they all decide to find the hatch and escape, robbing the killer of a possible 4k.
It can also rob the killer from a single kill if the killer finds the hatch first.
Now obviously moris are very strong too, but saying moris are unbalanced while keys are is completely false, and this is coming from someone who is rank 1 on both sides.
Three-gen key use is very okay. I was playing as a doctor against a team that three-gened themselves. There was no possible way they could do anything, all three gens were inside my TR. The game could have lasted for a whole month that way. They managed to get a key out of a chest, and 2 of them escaped, while I managed to hook another. I call that a fair game. A key can stop a potential 1 hour game.
-
If anything, trapper needs a buff. Especially his speed of setting traps. The meta has shifted into quick 5 gen matches, and both him and Hag suffer heavily, because they don't have enough time to prepare the zone they want to guard.
Also, OP, are you sure he was not using Play With Your Food that had a couple of stacks to it? Same question for the Bubba you mentioned.

I could pitch the idea their way, but I can't make any promises.
Thank you.

As I have said before: 2x bloodpoints is the least they could do, with no effort at all, and it would make people want to stay at home and play the game more than ever before. Especially since the numbers of active players are currently on a rise.
The second thing they could do, with a bit of effort, is release simple t-shirt cosmetics. They don't even have to go through much trouble with those - just take the basic skin of each character, recolor the shirt, and put a COVID-19 awarness logo or something on it. Release that as a DLC that people can pay for and have all the proceeds go to a hospital(s) in need. We haven't had a charity DLC in ages, and this seems like the perfect opportunity to show the community that they care about everyone's safety and health. They should put these skins into the store for shards as well - for those who can't afford to spend money right now.
Nobody wants an event to "celebrate" that people are dying. But let me tell you - it's extremely frustrating not being able to leave my house. I want to spend my time playing DBD, but I really do not want to feel the grind that I usually do. We just want to have fun, and take our minds away from the fact that our next trip to the store could land us at the ICU. Most companies understand that, and that is why we have "events" in other games out there going on right now.

To be honest, although words hurt and no one deserves hate like that, at the end of the day it really doesn't matter because you are your own person and no one can change that. People who waste time bullying online are only doing so because they feel protected behind a screen, they feel angry, insecure or they're just simply looking for a reaction. They don't know you personally so what they say doesn't matter because you probably won't see them ever again. I'm not defending the people who were racist to you, I'm just trying to reassure you that what others say online about you doesn't matter. I admire that you talked about it though <3 no one deserves to get hated on like that.
It wasn't even just "simple" racism, which should be a bannable offence regardless. I won't go into much detail, but they went as far as to dignify their own "superior race" and calling, not just me, but the whole region "subhuman." You know, something that shouldn't have been around since Hitler. But hey, BHVR doesn't think that is a bannable offence, so there is that. I'm just sick and tired of them saying over and over again that they will ban people who take it to far in the post-game chat when they clearly don't.
-

We do issue bans for excessive insults. If you report them through the in-game report system, it'll send a report with the chat log to our ACM team to review. I can confirm as one of the people who used to handle those reports that they are used.
As for things outside the game (messages on your Steam profile), we cannot enforce those. You'll have to report those directly to Valve, or whatever other platform it happens on.
As much as you guys love to say that, I have yet to see that happen. I've had multiple racist insults thrown my way, and really bad stuff like that - nothing happened after the report. Those players were playing the game onwards like nothing happened.
-
Same thing is happening to me too, again. EU here as well.
-
Left Behind is great if you are solo q and need to do the challenges where you escape through the hatch. I managed to complete those challenges back-to-back thanks to the perk. Other than that, it belongs on the shelf. Just like the rest of the mediocre perks.
-
As someone who mains Jane when playing survivor, I would love it. I also think she needs more gala dresses and stuff like that. She was a big TV personality after all. Not to mention that she had her own fashion accessories line, so maybe a charm or two from her line wouldn't hurt either.
-
Any plans? Even giving us double bloodpoints would be more than enough. Maybe you guys could even introduce simple survivor shirts or charms that spread awareness with a quick hotfix. I think something like this would really bring the community together, and maybe we would see less toxcity on both sides during these, unfortunately, bad times.
-
Their bloodwebs need to be looked at, I think we can all agree on that. Especially since survivors are now losing their addons just like killers do. The reason that killers get more ultra-rares is simply because the bloodwebs are not floded with useless items that the survivors have to go through. They just need to alter the % a little, and it'll be just fine.
-
I don't think getting rid of SWF will do this game any good. What they should do (and promised to do, but later on went quiet about it) is to bring solo as far as possible to the SWF level. Kindred should be built-in. We are also almost 4 years into the game, and they have yet to introduce a simple totem counter for solos. SWF should also get some reduction speed wise (for example, slower repair speed). Once they bump solo to the SWF information destribution then they can buff the killers with it. If both solo and SWF have the same capabilities they can finally solve the balance issues. Nobody will complain about strong killers if they feel that the game is fair for them regardless if they are playing solo or SWF.
-
I mean... Even if they removed the notification of Thana, to use your example, every survivor worth their salt will know that you are using it once the gen progression slows down.
As far as DH and Resilience are concerned:
If they are using dead hard, they will 90% of the time be looking behind them. Fake the swing or just get close enough to them so that they are forced to use it. Don't do short attacks, but go for the long hit.
If they are using Resilience (probably paired with Spine Chill) you will know that pretty easily. They will usually refuse to heal, and as soon as you are in a chase with them, their vault speed will be very fast. Use that information against them. Don't go for the swing at the window, but rather mindgame them and appear on the other side, for example.
You will get better the more hours you put into the game, don't worry about it. :)
-
I think that they should take way less time to break. As a killer I have never felt the urge of breaking the walls, because it just gives the survivors more distance. At the same time, I have never felt threatened by a killer breaking the wall. This shouldn't be the case.
-
I mean, sure, but if you give survivors WGLF as base then they will just farm each other off the hooks, and not have to waste a perk slot doing so. One toxic person is enough to ruin the experience of the whole team. I personally think that BBQ for killers as base is okay, but survivors should get base kindred without the killer aura reading. WGLF should be merged with We'll Make It.
-
If I find someone doing something funny, have a guy DC or I manage to destroy them early on with 0 or only 1 gen done, then I will usually let at least one of them go. I usually even smack a gen, to let them know that they can do gens instead of taking the hatch, so that they get more points out of it. Why should we as killers be punished for that? Because we want at least one of the survivors to have fun and get some points? That just doesn't make any sense.
-
Sounds like heavy latency. If you are playing with a green ping to the server, and your connection is stable throughout the trial, then it is the killer who is playing on a bad connection. There are also some people out there who are manipulating their connection with VPNs, and BHVR doesn't want to do anything about it. Just take your losses, and move on. It's not healthy to dwell on it too much.
-
I want:
- Myers's prestige mask reworked so it fits the movies.
- Freddy needle gloves
- Every killer with secondary weapon needs a skin for that secondary weapon as well. For example, Hillybilly with different chainsaws.
- Clown needs more scary masks.
- All legion members should have more personal outfits. For example, suits and dresses. They were normal people prior.
- Some killers need "normal" skins as well. For example, trapper should have maybe a sort of a camo outfit, with a trap or two hanging on his back or whatever. Just like Nurse has that skin where she carries a medpack with her.
-
I'll take it if you still have it! :)

A typo 4:55 but still pretty obvious the balance of this game is outta wack
Actually, from the time the first gen pops until the last it is 2:55. But yeah, counting all those seconds until the first pops, it is 4:55, as you said. :)

You guys should check this out. 2:55 minutes for 5 gens, no toolboxes.

This, I can't say. The rank update error only happens after a match, not during it, so it should not count. If it does, however, that's an issue and we do have a kill switch in place in case of something like that. If the rank update error is triggering it (particularly if you have a clip of it), please let us know.
When you say that the rank update error only happens after a match is simply not true. I always get the rank update error as soon as I start up the game for the first time. It is then gone when I restart it, and it does not appear after that.
