DS should be disabled for sure.
Destroying dull totems though? If the killer is running ToTH, Plaything, or NOED they're gonna be faced with a lose/lose situation.
-
Pineapple on pizza gets more hate than it deserves.
-
This just forces the killer to facecamp every survivor at the end of the game. If every other survivor died you probably should have been taking chases as soon as you had your Deliverance up.
-
Idk about infinite stalking but evil should replenish passively over time for each survivor. To prevent easy tunneling strats or one weak link being extra punishing for the other survivors, perhaps evil could replenish faster for survivors performing interactions and not replenish at all while they are hooked/downed.

Healing against legion is not a waste of time if it takes like three seconds. Then you're forcing legion to find you, then chain stab everyone, then by the time you're done everyone is healed up again. Thanat is pointless on him now, no one will ever stay injured because healing takes no time.
While I have now seen how strong healing circle can be, Legion will absolutely be able to chain stab everyone before they heal back up. Again, mending is not boosted by healing circle so legion is making survivors at least spend time mending. I think we should assume that healing circle will be tuned down on release because right now it's looking like the time before healing perks got nerfed and you could full heal during the killer's attack cooldown.
-
If you're having skill problems, I feel bad for you son. I got 99 problems and the witch ain't one.
In all seriousness, I don't think it's that bad. Healing against Legion is a waste of time anyway, so now they're just getting tricked into wasting that time just because it's less time they're wasting. And you have plenty of time to take out the totem while they're mending (which is not boosted by healing circle). I don't know if you can snuff out totems during frenzy like how you can kick gens, but if you can then all the better. Legion also got a nice buff with the Third Seal and Blood Favor changes, and Thrill of the Hunt might be worth looking into if you're that concerned about boons.
-
So is McDonald's wifi offensive to... clowns...? I don't see any other connection here.
-
-
I imagine it would be nice for Legion since Survivors won't be able to drop pallets on you immediately after getting hit and preventing you from chaining attacks. Plague may also like shutting down pallets during her Corrupt Purge.

How about discordance for Myers? I find that quite a few myers run it
It's okay but as an early game perk LP + Corrupt is so much better and by the later game I will usually be putting too much pressure on the survivors for multiple to work on the same generator without letting someone else die.
-
For Myers, it's gotta be Lethal Pursuer. Infectious Fright is a close second, but with LP you make getting out of his weak early game so much more consistent. Plus it pairs super well with Corrupt Intervention since they can't just be immersed until the timer runs out.
-
I played Ruin + Undying for the first time in months and lost both totems within 20 seconds of the match starting. So... maybe. But only on some killers, on Myers I'm liking the Corrupt + Lethal Pursuer combo.
-
Ace: That smile. That damn smile.
Myers: I just like spookin' folks.
-
They might stagger which servers get maintenance so there's still other servers to play on, that's my guess at least.

It's a mentality I honestly just don't understand. Yeah, sure, everyone likes to have bragging rights or whatever. But if you know that you got your success by cheating, why even bother? Where's the pride? Where's the sense of accomplishment? What is the actual point?
(*Shrug*) I guess I'll just never get some people.
The point is to get salt. They just want a reaction out of people. Same as TF2 bot hosts.
-
If you're confident in your own looping, I suggest a full information build so you can strategize better. Bond, Kindred, and Open Handed give you a large amount of information and can help your team make better decisions as well. The last perk is up to you, but I personally run Spine Chill for a little extra info on the killer as well as slightly more vaulting speed. Dead Hard or DS would work fine too though, the latter especially if you're stuck in tunneling killer ranks.
-
Quite similar to the "Don't Touch My Stuff" Trapper build I came up with a while back (though someone else may have even thought of it before me).
Same addons, and some of the old perks were outdated (Hangman's Trick rework, for instance) so now I would probably use Haunted Grounds, Thrill of the Hunt, Devour Hope, and Hoarder.
Don't touch his stuff.

I will not waste my blissful ignorance then and not give it a google ^^ whatever this Dream thing seems to be negative and I am not about that.
Back on the topic of Ace, I would love to see him in a casino dealer outfit! All fancy and bright ^^ maybe he could have chips and cards falling out if his pockets while he runs lol.
Yeah that outfit sounds perfect

Good perks! Though I think you flipped some values for Overdose and Ubercharge, perks usually get better going from Tier 1 --> 3. Specifically how much charge/progress you lose.
Ah good catch, I didn't even notice.
-
I would definitely appreciate some addon changes for Myers, as long as they don't rework his base kit too much. I would like survivors' stalk juice to slowly replenish over time, whether base kit or through an addon, since it's annoying when I have to choose whether to kill a survivor that I haven't fully stalked yet and lose out on that juice, or basically tunnel a survivor that I have stalked because they're out of juice. In theory the limited stalk from each survivor would discourage tunneling, but frustratingly it kinda does the opposite.
As for addons, don't change scratched mirror or dead rabbit and I'll be satisfied.

Who or what is a Dream? Someone else said they thought I was referring to a person (?). ^^" I can only assume a twitch streamer or YTer???
Ace was made for formal attire ^^ I would love to see him in more of it!!!
I envy your ignorance.

I play Killer a bit more than Survivor, but I actually like to go against Rancor because I can see it coming and have time to prepare for it. Only problem is most of the killers I've seen use it... don't actually use it. I just get tunneled before the gens are done.
-
@Mat_Sella said:
Overdose might need to inflict a short Exhaustion period while healing, otherwise you'll see Sprint Bursting survivors running away from their fully (or not) healed companions at a speed of 157% followed by a long 7% boost. Might as well be forcing a tunnel at that point.
Yeah I was originally going to use Exhaustion but when I got around to the details I didn't know how I would fit it in. Problem with that though is that it's a real easy way to have Sprint Burst on command. I might just add that Overdose doesn't work during chase as it's not designed to be a chase perk anyway. Might buff it a little to compensate for that too.
-
Not gonna lie, the title scared me.
But now I know what you actually mean, I would like a fancy hat for Ace, maybe another suit to go with it. Could have cards or chips on the side or something.
And I'm not going to beg for shirtless Myers, but I'm not going to stop myself from buying it if it were to be released...
-
I imagine the new map will be linked to one of the original killers. I do hope they get around to adding maps for killers that don't yet have their own though.
-
I haven't seen a tunneling Wraith in a long time.
Then again, I haven't seen someone other than me play Wraith in a long time.
-
The DS change is debatable but OoO absolutely affects SWF more than solo, not the other way around. OoO was most powerful used on a SWF team. It was not nearly as popular among solo players.

Spare me. I’m obviously not referring to people who tried to bring up constructive criticisms.
But plenty of killer mains who have spent all this time calling the devs “useless” “incompetent”, “stupid”, etc. are now suddenly professing their love for them and how great they are.
The hypocrisy is ridiculous, and hopefully next time something they don’t like happens, they remember this, and remember that the devs DO care about their side.
Well two of the biggest things they were asking for has happened after years of nothing but high tier killers getting nerfed (except I guess Freddy and Bubba getting buffed, but Freddy isn't really that fun to play as anymore without the old paint brush) along with the perks that allowed the weaker killers to have enough time to get kills.
This change came out of nowhere, and I think people are just being grateful that their wishes were granted. They want the devs to keep doing things like this so obviously they're gonna start pouring out the positive feedback.

That was sarcasm, dude
However, that still works that way, even if some people don't realize it. There's no boring killers, but it is boring to realize that you aren't good enough to do something to beat them.
So... it's sarcasm but actually not?
A lot of people seem to have that mentality, but I would also say it's boring to go against a killer if their power is just tedious to deal with, even if you win. Winning or losing isn't the only deciding factor. Legion and clown aren't good killers but not many people enjoy facing them.
-
Survivors can only play Ace.
-
@Bumbus said:
If you lose against them, they are still unfun. If you win - that's fine.
At least you're honest.
-
1.5k hours on PC and I don't recall seeing any instance of blatant hacking. Maybe once but it apparently wasn't memorable.
I've seen quite a few on the mobile version though.
-
Yeah a lot of their powers seem to lack information. Hag's power basically tells you nothing about crouching or flashlights, and Nurse doesn't mention flashlights either.
-
Their reasoning is that its functionality overlaps with Thrill. Both of them currently notify you when a hex totem is being worked on.

Nope. Too OP. Choosing to tell survivors that the obsession is being chased is already pushing it. "oh the killer is coming *checks HUD* nevermind they're in chase already *sticks to gen*"
funny about the killer not being able to see hooks remaining, I've always been able to do that in my head as killer but never while playing survivor
What you are describing is normal behavior for SWF. How would giving solo survivors that same information be too OP?
Edit: I just saw your name lmao

Right. I love when I DS a killer and they turn into an M1er on Haddonfield. The best part of the perk.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1858832#Comment_1858832
Yes? At this point you're complaining about having to play the game.
No, I'm complaining about being forced to lose a significant amount of pressure no matter what I do because 1 of the 4 survivors brought 2 perks. I would not have to lose that much pressure if not for the DS + Unbreakable combo. Maintaining pressure requires you to chase different survivors. You chase one, down them, hook them, and chase someone else while you have them hooked. This would normally pressure 3 survivors: The one on hook, the one being chased, and the one going for the unhook. However, DS breaks that loop. The DS user just needs to take a hit for a teammate or sit on an important gen in front of your face and they have their combo that will guarantee that you lose pressure no matter what.
You can:
Pick them up: Wrong answer. Get stunned for 5 seconds while the survivor makes distance. You chase them so they don't complete the gen you're defending, but in the meantime the other 3 survivors are getting unhooked, healed, doing more gens, etc. and you lose all of your pressure.
Leave them: Also wrong! They pick themselves up and either run away to start a new chase or sit on the gen until you come back over there. Without the need to pick up their teammate, the other survivors which you haven't found yet are once again resetting pressure. You could camp the slug to wait out DS, but not only are you losing pressure, you also have Soul Guard to worry about, which would allow them to make it to a loop and start the chase over.
The killer is forced into a lose/lose situation if the DS user is aggressive. Not to mention that all 4 survivors could be using those perks.

@TAG said:
Does the Killer get to see the hook counter as well? This would be super duper nice as a QoL for Pig to know who is on Death Hook and does not need a RBT.
According to Mandy, killers can only see the total hook count. So screw killers I guess?
-
@Mat_Sella said:
Gotta love the Open-Handed buff. All hail King Kindred.
Too bad they didn't say anything about changing Kindred so it probably still has that hidden 24 meter cap.
-
@Science_Guy said:
The counter is picking them up.
I don't know how you some killers still don't know this, but you can just down someone again after they DS you.
Yes, after they gain 20 meters of distance to start looping you again while you either have 0 pressure on the other survivors or are losing it quickly. But hey, just play Spirit/Nurse/Freddy and you're good to go right?

@Crypticghoul said:
It's good that they changed the chance to escape but yeah, they really should bump up his base trap carrying to 3 and make each iri addon and honing stone reduce the amount of traps he can carry by 1 imo.
Bags would still serve the purpose of creating more traps and starting with more. Iri addons would be relatively unchanged in power.
I don't think bloody coil needs to reduce trap count but yeah I can see the stones with that.

The killer will see the overall hook progress, so not the specific hook count.
Why? Is it too much to know which of the 3 prestige claudettes just got unhooked 30 seconds ago? I don't see any reason why killers shouldn't have access to individual hook counts at a glance.
-
Did this get moved to the same category? Now I'm confused.
-
Huntress is very strong and used all the time. All you need to do is watch one Umbra video to see how strong she can be.
Unlike most stealth killers, Pig is VERY slow when she is stealthed (slower than survivors). So Pigs need to be very selective of when they use their stealth as they could waste a lot of time if it doesn't work.
Her dash is hard to avoid, but not impossible. Just pay attention to her movements and don't move too far in one direction in case she jukes you. You can also just avoid it altogether. If you see her crouching, just run away from the loop and find a new one.

Just because someone's good at the game does not give them instant map pressure. Big maps with split up gen like Rotten Fields and Mothers Dwelling are very hard to pressure. You can't just say "apply map pressure" and think that's a solid argument.
idk man just play better
-
Depends. I'll play injured if there's no easy way to get healed and I'm not in that much danger.
Though if I'm using Autodidact + Empathy + Solidarity then I'll just heal other survivors.
-
I think they made it so you don't get penalized if you're not controlling victor while he's near a hook, in the latest patch.
