If you pick up a dying survivor and continue healing by holding the heal button, renewal will stop charging after the survivor is picked up until you stop healing and start healing again.0 comments 11 views last activity

The new patch brought changes so baffling it resurrected me from the dead. I'm not going to parrot things I've already heard but I do have one question that I honestly can't wrap my head around. How is Pain Resonance + Dead Man's Switch better for the game in the eyes of BHVR than Pain Resonance + Merciless Storm? In what situation is this the case. Let me analyze these combos, assuming "2 comments 51 views last activity

I recently posted a discussion but when I checked back just 10 minutes or so later, it was gone. I don't think I broke any rules because I would surely have gotten a warning or something. Perhaps they deleted it by accident? I'm only asking here because I can't find anywhere better to do so.0 comments 11 views last activity

Hex: Retribution does not reveal any Survivor auras when it is destroyed, despite its description saying it should. I have noticed this behavior since the PTB.0 comments 1 views last activity

Alright, I'm finally back with another TF2 character concept. Today I will be tackling Jeremy, better known as the Scout. We all know the Scout. Everyone loves him, and he knows it. Survivor concept - the scout aka jeremy So here we have a character who runs fast and is maybe a little too confident in his own abilities. Clearly, Jeremy works best as a Survivor. Greetings fellow gamers, I am back with another Team Fortress 2 character concept for Dead by Daylight. Today I will be working with the Pyro. Killer Concept - The Pyro Now the Pyro's name is completely unknown. But thankfully, as a killer we only really need a title. This is probably the easiest Killer concept that can be done with a TF2 character, so I guess I'm saving the tough ones for l0 comments 171 views last activity

Hey hey gamers, I've been away from the forums for a hot minute, to the point where my notifications are apparently too old to view. Anyway, I've been playing a bit of TF2 and started wondering how Valve's beloved characters would be implemented if they were to be included in a Dead by Daylight chapter or paragraph. So, I figure I'll start with my main and my personal favorite, the Medic. Sur4 comments 41 views last activity

So with the proposed OoO change, I noticed a possible interaction with MoM. If you're healed after using it, your aura is revealed to the killer at all times while you're more than 12/14/16 meters away from the killer. This could be used with Object for infinite killer aura reading ignoring terror radius outside of 12 meters (tier 1 MoM is better than tier 3 in this case, similar to old Distortio0 comments 11 views last activity

Rank rewards are nice, but 500k BP over a month really isn't that much. You get much more just by going from rank 20 to 1. And with BP capped at a measly 1 million, I don't think bumping up the BP reward would help. That is why I think rank rewards should include iridescent shards, as they are a much better incentive to rank up. (Rift Fragments would also be nice)4 comments 1 views last activity

Visually, the HUD is pretty generic and takes up more screen space, but the hook counter is definitely a step in the right direction. Only problem is that a moderator has stated that the killer does NOT see individual hook states which is really dumb if true. But other than that, there's something else I would really like to see in the new HUD: chase indicators for all 4 survivors, not just the o4 comments 32 views last activity

So I was playing survivor and I had just unhooked another player. We attempted to get on the nearby generator on the same side at the same time, which caused this to happen: At first I thought we were both working on it at the same time, but then I realized the progress meter was blue. As you know, Blood Favor is easily the weakest Hex perk in the game, dethroning Huntress's Lullaby (even the nerf to Lullaby wasn't enough to change that). Some would argue that it shouldn't even be a hex perk. I think it's a good concept for a perk, but it needs a buff to see use. The prOblem The main problem is that it's a cooldown perk with situational use but an activation requirement th3 comments 71 views last activity

Since bloodlust is getting disabled temporarily, many players will likely play differently for the duration. Survivors will use more "5-gen looping builds" and killer players will likely use more chase-oriented killers like nurse or blight. I hope BHVR takes this into account when looking over the stats. I would like to believe they know what they're doing, but they've challenged my faith before.30 comments 1,562 views last activity

It's honestly starting to bother me how many people still think this. There is nothing stopping you from healing at above 200% speed. In hopes that I don't have to repeat this anymore, I am posting a discussion about it. This myth was a misunderstanding of the (admittedly poorly-worded) description of We'll Make It, which stated that cumulative healing speed bonuses could not exceed 100%. Bloodhound is a pretty crappy perk, niche at best. It combos with Sloppy, sure, but oftentimes that isn't worth two perk slots and you should just use Sloppy. There's a few builds that could benefit from it, but not many. I think it could definitely use a buff. Here's what I'm thinking: Keep the same effects, but also, once bloodstains have been on the ground for a certain period of time (say, 51 comments 91 views last activity

I've been running Mettle of Man a lot lately. In the 10% of games that I've been able to activate it WITHOUT just throwing myself at the killer and taking hits that accomplish nothing for my team, it's been pretty awesome to use. However, most games it does nothing because I take multiple hits that are CLEARLY protecting an injured survivor but the perk decides it doesn't want to give me a stack7 comments 41 views last activity

So many of the perks that get introduced to this game fall flat because of unnecessary restrictions or numbers that are simply too low. These perks have interesting effects and/or good potential but never get used because of this. Examples include Mindbreaker with its 50% gen requirement, Trail of Torment with its gen reveal, and the upcoming Hex: Blood Favor, which is not only a hex perk but als13 comments 141 views last activity

Dying Light and Mettle of Man were originally pretty powerful perks, so it is understandable that they came with downsides. However, after their reworks I see no point in keeping those downsides. Dying Light buffs your Obsession's altruistic actions by 33%. Mettle of Man reveals your aura if you heal after using it. There is no reason for these effects to exist anymore. A lot of people get annoyed when they get hooked even though it looks like they wiggled free. This is because even though the bar looks full, it actually needs to fill up a tiny amount more before you actually get off. I think it should be adjusted so that it doesn't look like you've finished wiggling until you actually have. Maybe have it fill up like 98% or so of the bar, and then just instant0 comments 11 views last activity

I think it would be cool if Wraith's bell worked like Billy/Bubba's chainsaw so you could "feather" it. In all honesty I haven't put much thought to it yet but I'd like to hear what other people think about this potential buff.4 comments 91 views last activity

What if each killer had one add-on of Legendary rarity? What would each of them do? I think it would be fun to come up with possible effects for these hypothetical add-ons. I'll start off with a few of my own, but I'd love to see what you guys can come up with. If you want to post one for a killer already listed, that's fine too! I recently saw the new chest animation, and it appears you attempt to break the lock off the chest to get an item. And since chests now have locks, does that mean keys will be changed to open chests faster? Perhaps the skeleton key could still open hatch, but only for one player, and the dull key would only open chests.27 comments 411 views last activity

I think his power (or part of it) would be similar to Plague's fountains. There would be Alchemy Stations around the map, and the Killer can see their Auras. After walking up to one of the stations and performing a short interaction, the station will start producing a serum and its Aura will be revealed to Survivors. The Survivors can go to an activate station to sabotage it, which will could s16 comments 301 views last activity

I've just finished unlocking the memories for my main and I realized "hey, that gator tooth would be a great charm". However, I looked through the rift and couldn't find anything that looks like it. Before the patch, the chainsaw's power meter would go down over time during the stun animation, meaning you would still have a decent amount of charge left if you used Enduring. However, it appears that it now instantly resets after you get stunned. As this was not mentioned anywhere in the patch notes, I can only assume this change is not intended.0 comments 11 views last activity

I don't play Billy much because I'm really bad at him, but I've been playing around with him recently and I noticed a change that I didn't see in any of the patch notes. His charge meter doesn't retain any of its charge after you're stunned by a pallet. This used to be a useful feature that allowed you to break pallets faster when combined with Enduring. Is this a bug, or a nerf to Billy that the21 comments 261 views last activity

Before Dying Light was (rightfully) reworked, the buff to the obsession kinda made sense. If they were gonna be tunneled, giving them a chance to get more altruism in before dying made it a little less miserable for them. However, it doesn't make much sense now. The obsession is already immune to the effects of Dying Light, so why give them an extra speed boost on top of that? The only reason I n0 comments 21 views last activity

I know this is an unpopular opinion, but I like indoor maps. They have nice aesthetic and are all unique. However, the one thing that annoys me when a new indoor map is released is the random dead ends (looking at you, Midwich stairway). Sure, they make nice totem spots (until survivors learn about them after a few weeks), but it really disrupts the flow of the map. Surely it's not hard to make0 comments 21 views last activity

I was playing a match with a map/aura build (Open Handed, Bond, Kindred, and Detective's Hunch with Rainbow Map + Crystal Bead and Jelly) and I brought a white ward because I was running out of maps. Unfortunately, as is often the case when I bring white wards for some reason, the killer, a Hag, brought Franklin's Demise. She would hit me and place a trap on my map. Title says it all. That way there's a trade-off for being able to pick yourself up, and it gives the killer a bigger window to wait out DS if you're using them together.10 comments 251 views last activity

So, as you know we have a lot more perks than we had when the game first came out. Steps have been taken to alleviate the grind, but with 3 new perks coming out for each side every chapter it's getting pretty difficult to unlock every tier of every perk. One commonly suggested idea to fix this is by simply removing the tiers from perks, effectively dividing the amount of perks we need to get by1 comments 11 views last activity

I got an archive mission to get 3 benevolent emblems of gold or higher, so I put on a medkit build. However, after a couple matches I noticed I was only getting bronze benevolence despite healing people with my medkit. And when I checked the emblem summary, it seems I didn't get any points for healing survivors. Is this intended, or is it a bug?2 comments 21 views last activity

So I'm gonna look over every item and offering and try to come up with some changes for some of them. ITEMS Firecracker, Medkit, Maps: No change Toolboxes (3.6.0): Change add-ons that increase sabo speed to increase sabo efficiency instead. Having enough time to sabo a hook during the killer's attack cooldown is pretty stupid. Flashlight: So... why exactly does a flashlight stun the killer0 comments 31 views last activity

For context, here's Otz's recent video: https://youtu.be/CtXg2U8nG54 So killers can drop and pick up other killer powers? How is this a feature? Is there just code inherited from the Trapper that allows killers to pick up each other's powers off the floor? Sadly, they don't seem to function, but could you imagine if they did? Before I played DBD I played a lot of Dark Souls, mostly 2 and 3. One of my most memorable invasions was in Dark Souls III at Archdragon peak. I was using a Dragonslayer build (At the time it was Ornstein, but I later changed it so I could easily swap between him and Dragonslayer Armor) and I spawned at the second summoner's room. Deep Wounds is just a bad mechanic. No one likes using it, no one likes going against it. It's not a threat, just an annoyance. I don't think it's done a single good thing for this game since it was introduced. Revert BT back to how it used to be. Rework Legion. Make Deathslinger's power do something useful. Maybe Broken or something, anything is better than Deep Wounds.0 comments 22 views last activity

I thought it would be fun to think of how various killers would interact with other killers' powers if a 2v8 mode was ever added. General: Auras of killer belongings would be visible to both killers (such as Traps, Jigsaw Boxes, and Fountains). Trapper: Many killers would be taken out of their powers when stepping in a Trap. I remember playing against Leatherface for the first time. I had never experienced a friendly killer before so when he refused to attack us I was very confused. In the post-game chat he just said "frands". Second weirdest one was when I got everyone in the lobby to play Pizza Dwight and we all crouched around in a line. What do you think of players exploiting bugs in the PTB? Would you report them? What if they were trying to spread awareness of such bugs? What if the "victim" agreed to have the exploit used on them for the sake of demonstration? To me, I wouldn't report people during the PTB since I see it as a time to play casually and discover bugs. I'd like to hear everyone else's thoughts on this.5 comments 51 views last activity
