if the killer put the ebony mori, the survivor will 100% lose or one surv can go into a hatch, seriously the mori needs to go, if the mori will be reworked, rework keys to, for the killers stop say everthing, just for the mori leave the game
Mori's can be changed when Key's are changed. Both are dumb and completely end games way sooner then they should and are unfun too face.

Everyone just needs to bring toolboxes and genrush the Oni mains. Sprint burst also murders him, until he gets those first two hits he is loopable AF...
Gen Rushing isn't fun for any side, and no one even pips in those games because it ends so fast. If anything all that's gonna do is make people Slug more.
As for OP, bring No Mither or Unbreakable. Or stay inside jungle gyms too avoid his Demon Dash, since it's easy as hell too dodge when at a loop.

I don't like playing Oni on console and Ormond/Haddonfield offerings eat away at my sanity sometimes but I'm having fun. I 4K a bunch as Billy w/no add-ons and no ruin and the matches I do lose I feel are because I was outskilled. Unless, again, it was the two aforementioned maps.
Expecting consistent 4Ks on a lower tier killer is just unrealistic. Especially if you don't apply pressure by doing one of the three things people consider toxic: slugging, tunneling, or camping.
Why does so many people assume I want 4k's every game?
My point isn't too 4k every game, my point is a game shouldn't last 5 mins because I made 1 mistake.

I didn't read the post because there are literally no spaces between paragraphs and it hurts my eyes, but going off the title, yes he is. Myers is incredibly overrated IMO, he's good but it isn't a high tier like people make him out too be.

Honestly just run Bubba with Ruin, insidious, Noed, and Mad Grit. Get one person and try to bring him to basement and if you can't just face camp him until someone is dumb enough to try and unhook in your face and rinse and repeat till they either die or end up in the basement where they are guaranteed going to die. As scummy as it is it works consistently especially with groups, nobody want's to let their friend die. I was Rank one and I'm Rank two now after 10-12 games of doing just this.
To net the first down either roam around or camp a popular gen by hiding behind something and dumpstering whoever goes there
I shouldn't have too play scummy just too win. It's why I don't play Gen Slow Freddy. It's boring, unfun, and takes way too long too finish games. This is a band aid fix for a massive problem.

Lethality means legion would have to land a hit on probably 2-3 survivors before he gets his insta down.
This means after 1-2 survivors die legion can’t activate his natural insta down making it useless.
Great for applying early pressure.
I definitely agree on the reduced action penalty and adjusted some stats.
For the third I don’t think a killer could moon walk I just mentioned that the killer has to be outside of a 30m range for your timer to tick.
Moonwalk is a term meaning that Old legion could avoids a chase too force a down when someone was in Deep Wounds.

@MisterCremaster said:
They need to drastically slow down solo gens to discourage actual gen rushing. It's impossible for many of the killers to apply pressure with gens spread out and each survivor don't their own.
Make it so survivors need to work together to get gens done, then killers can actually Ally pressure by scattering them and maybe even getting a hit on more than one before entering an actual chase
This would work if they nerf Prove Thyself, everyone having 10% increase in gen speed would be too much. Plus it would make killers like Legion and Plague better because they work the best when everyone is grouped.

Actually I think you don't understand and TBH it looks like your the one being emotional.
Quoting Tru3 is different to say quoting AngryPUG. The last DBD twitch streamer i respected was 72hrs who has since left the game.
Tru3 would play and support the broken nurse, someone like 72hrs who could play nurse brilliantly would still point out how she was a broken killer.
There's no perspective here, Tru3 is an entitled killer who championed broken mechanics to suit himself. Your perspective is biased. Therefore your opinion is biased.
I'm saying that super calm btw 😉
So it's biased for me because I like tru3, but there is no biase from you because you don't like tru3? I smell some hypocrisy.
And again, you are completely missing my point just too trash talk Tru3. Put your own personal opinions aside and focus on the main point I'm making.
-
This would completely break Legion and make him incredibly OP. Lethality would mean every Frenzy nets a down. 25-50% reduced action speed is way too much a burden. Even Gen Slow Freddy can't hit those levels unless he has perks and addons, so having it base kit would be insane. The third option wouldn't be bad, but It would still have Legion's moon walking for free downs.

The fact that you quote Tru3 in and of itself highlights some ridiculous insights here. Tru3 is an entitled killer main. FULL STOP.
Quick History Lesson:
The devs never expected the 'survivor juking' phenomena at release, they expected 'sneaky sneak' survivors. Tru3 would reiterate this, about how survivors are 'just supposed to be sneaky', yes he would go on and on about 'sneaky sneak' games. It was an interesting take and certainly was a play style but it was SO BORING. Boring to play and boring to watch. One of the things that gave this game its popularity was the chases.
Then we cut to him playing killer. One of the last twitch DBD games of his I watched, he went on and on about swf and that it's not fair. Completely discounting why it ended up in the game because twitch streamers like him COMPLAINED about lobby simulator with survivors wanting to play with friends at release. The devs gave us swf because of HIM!?
Anyway this last game I watched it finished in a 4k and he did some cute pirouette and started saying 'oh i meant new killers', regarding how unfair swf is.
Tru3 is a waste of time.
K so you are missing the point entirely and are using feelings too justify hate. Calm down a little bit.
the main point is that for someone like Tru3 whos been around for ages considering stop playing killer shows how bad gens have gotten, because he does have a point, what's the point of learning and getting good with killer if none of that skill matters when survivors just hold M1 and end the game in 5 mins.
-
I disagree, I haven't fought many spirits, but the ones I have are so much nicer too fight. It's no longer luck based for me at least. When I juke a spirit it feels like I did it with skill, not with luck.
-
@S_Panda said:
But unlike the plague's infection you can remove the spawning of blood orbs...
In seriousness if you're mid-chase you're not likely to juke any killer and if you're in the situation where you're likely to be found you're better off running as soon as the killer nears: they may be faster than you but using the oni as an example, every second of distance ahead of him you are it takes ~6.5 seconds for him to catch up. Add in a pallet somewhere and he wasted at least 25 seconds just to close the distance if it's a safe pallet.
I like that we have a mixture of killers to force different playstyles. After I faced the plague a few times I stopped playing as heavily stealth as I have been (and I'm moving towards the meta build slowly). We have the spirit/nurse who reward you stealthing/juking them and the plague/oni who deny it.
This.

Very impressive. Never would of guessed someone at BHVR worked with Ubisoft, and that's just one person, wonder what the rest of the dev team have done in the past before BHVR.

You can't make gens make more time overall though, because that'll just lead to easyt stomps for killers overall. Nah, survivors just need some osrta optional objective that slowly impacts gens but contributes to survival and killers can interact with too.
It's simply an option. It may be needed though if nothing else is done. It's the option I don't personally want, but i also don't want too bring addons and offerings and then waste them because the game ended in 5 mins.
-
@ASpazNamedSteve said:
I enjoy red ranks killer a lot more than solo queue survivor, and overall I'd say I have mostly enjoyable games.
You do get the ones against really efficient survivors where it's just over in 5 mins and you're left there like 'ok, next game I guess', and those suck. But like I said I still mostly have good games.
I find you lucky then, I am constantly running into survivors who do nothing but hold M1 and the games over in 5 mins.
Even if they weren't common, why CAN a game end in 5 mins? It shouldn't even be a thing. No one enjoys a game lasting 5 mins and no one pips because it ended too fast.

I woupd be perfectly fine if there even was 1 perk comming from new dlc, but good and well balanced instead of classic 2 underwhelming and 1 actually usable. Whats the point of making new perks, if thier only puorpose is to be on "My perk rework ideas" discussions? Lets look at 3 latest chapters (i will talk about killer perks) 3 good perks and the rest 6 will add more variety on reworks lists. What about the old ones? There are sooooo many rework ideas on forums for monstrous shrine for example. Let us have more variety, everyone will be happy!. Survivors complains about facing killers with same perks and killers that need to play with the same boring setup will end! This game has so much potential. In current situation only 20-30 perks are good. Just IMAGINE theres 50-60 that you can pick from! Make it happen devs.
The game needs an operation: health. Cut 2 Chapters a year and give out weekly updates, including reworks and bug fixes. Tired of a 3 year old game feeling like it's still in a beta. There are still bugs from launch that keep coming back because the devs would rather band aid fix instead of actually removing problems.
-
it's been the opposite for me, I get nothing but gen rushing toxic survivors at red ranks. I love missing one attack and loose 5 gens. When I play survivor I rarely have toxic killers.
-
Demogorgon isn't a bad killer, he's pretty good, the problem is that he's too loud. The second a survivor hears you shred or miss an attack, they all get on gens and you get gen rushed.

Also Tru3 is far from being a good killer, can people please stop using him as an example?
So you clearly didn't watch the video, otherwise you would of known he was playing survivor that match.
And if you honestly think making 1 mistake is worth 5 gens then you are an incredibly entitled survivor main.

One side is always upset or irritated by one thing or another. Nurse nerf and Balanced Landing nerf are definitely recent examples. While I do understand why both needed nerfs.
Nurse was really a down played rework and was a bit scummy in nature. Fundamentally she is the same, but realistically she is a lot worse than she used to be. In a game of time management with a killer who is naturally slower the recharge and fatigue is back breaking.
Balanced Landing was nerfed due to the abuse it held by a group of toxic players, but it is a symptom of a much worse problem. Poor map design. While it makes sense why they nerfed BL because no other Exhaustion perk can do stuff post during the exhausted state. This does not actually fix the root issue of bad map design where it could be abused.
At the end of the day both needed reworks, but both got a messed up solution because it's easier to throw a bandaid on instead of solve the core issue. While both sides continue to fight one another over issues instead of come together to force the Dev's to fix real issues.
Last time the community on both sides felt Spirit was overpowered on certain things. They attempted to fix some issues and still didnt directly deal with the real issues which was a lack of responsive feed back on the survivors side.
Devs wouldn't listen anyways. How long have people wanted a legion buff, so they nerf him even more?
Devs care about one thing, the bottom line, and as such they rarely ever listen too the community.

@liarcy said:
That “gen rush” is literally the objective, you want survivors to sit in a corner and tbag each other
Good way too put words in his mouth. Doing the objective and gen rushing are two different things. Gen rushing means the game lasted 5 mins.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VcdPgkR3AEYThis video Tru3 made shows gen rushing. 5 gens done in 4 mins even when the killer played well, he made 1 mistake and lost the entire game. How on earth is this fair?
-
@Desolate_Sands said:
I love it when bad killers who relied on an OP character to win cry when she's brought down to a reasonable level.
We found the survivor main. Base Nurse was probably the most balanced killer in the game, everyone pretty much agrees her addons needed reworking, but her basekit didn't need such a heavy nerf. There is no reason for her too play the same, but it's 20x harder. If they really wanted too change her basekit, then they should of added longer fatigue time, not charges too be an actual killer. When her best addons are the ones that make her as close too Old Nurse as possible, then the rework failed and needs too be reverted.
-
Let them give better rewards. Honestly it doesn't feel like I'm being rewarded as much as I should for some of these challenges, like the EGC ones.

@SammyWasabi said:
This is the question that is the main reason why Dead by Daylight can (most likely) not be balanced completely.
Let's look at both sides
• The 1v4 aspect looks at the game as a whole. This formula is preferred mostly by killer mains.
• The reason for balancing around the 1v4 makes sense, it is a 1v4 in a whole, but in the chase, it isn't. This formula would also equal (if both sides are equally as skilled) a 4 kill 0 survival rate. This makes sense, but we must look at the other side.
• The 1v1 aspect looks at the game as the main part of the game, the chase. This formula is preferred mostly by survivors.
• The reason for balancing around the 1v1, also makes sense. The main portion of the game where the killers and survivors are engaging in skillful interaction (skillful most of the times, cough, rancid abattoir and Ironworks window, uncough.) The chase, it is the true interaction of the game, but if we balance around the 1v1, the formula would result in (if both sides are equally skilled) around a 1 kill 3 survival ratio. Not good.
The main issue is, both sides are correct in their own way. And there isn't a great compromise between the two. Except 2 escape 2 death ratio, which is what devs are going for.
What do you think the game should be balanced around? I personally (survivor main bias sort of warning siren) think the chase should be balanced around the 1v1 but slightly adjusted, (aka ironworks window getting banned) but the other objectives should be balanced around the 1v4 and adjusted so they cannot have significant portions of the game done within the first chase. This could be done somehow, I'm not sure. Which is why I'm asking for your feedback, please try to be civil, all feedback is greatly appreciated.
The game shouldn't be balanced around a 1v1 because it isn't a 1v1, it's a 4v1 and if you only go for 1v1's then you're gonna loose. The game needs 4v1 balance since that's what it is.
If the game was balanced for only 1v1's killer would be impossible because everyone else would just gen rush since that's what it's balanced around.

Well that's the point, these are supposed to make it difficult at random times within the game. I had another person suggest that the Entity Blockers stop Killers from Vaulting too, I think that's fair as it's different from Bamboozle or a normal EB. This could randomly save or kill a Survivor depending on the chase.
As for Crows, I want to avoid that situation where a Killer is close-by and you get attacked by Crows making it an easy hit or down. It isn't supposed to help Killers get downs I want it to just be an interaction so I guess it needs a defined radius at all times instead of just after a chase.
Personally, RNG shouldn't decide whether you live or go on a hook. Same thing applies too totems, RNG shouldn't decide if it lasts 10 seconds or 3 minutes. So even if it blocked a vault for killers it wouldn't matter because you're still gonna be taking a hit or going down. The killer doesn't need vaults unlike survivor.
-
It's not 2 minutes though. The timer slows down immensely when someone is downed or on the hook, so it gives you time too unhook. And if it wasn't 2 minutes survivors would have too much time too goof off and waste time instead of leaving.
So no, it doesn't need too be longer.

This is literally impossible. He came out just a few days ago, there is no way you can play 50 matches and not get 1 Oni. Half my games day 1 were Oni. '

Lore wise that doesnt really hold up though considering we have Myers, Leatherface, Steve, Nancy etc. The characters are not necessarily THE Michael Myers or THE Steve but A Michael or A Steve possibly from another dimension.
True, honestly I don't think there is a lore reason lol.

As you all know, Amanda Young is the character in DBD hiding beneath the Pig mask. But why did we get her instead of Hoffman? Hoffman was so much more badass and did alot more of the attacking and fighting with the Pig mask than Amanda. Wouldnt the Entity rather have a strong killer like Hoffman rather than a sober druggy like Amanda? And that goes the same for game design. I'm surprised the devs chose her instead.
Lore wise: Hoffman's fate is unknown, unlike Amanda's. So for all we know he could be alive and kicking and still putting people in puzzles.
Realistic wise: License. the devs have said multiple times they always want as close too the original version of a character as possible when it comes too licensed killers/survivors, so since Amanda was first she was the one they got.

To let you know how I think about that. All these perks you mentioned requiere something, a activation requierment or skill even borrowed time. All these perks cant carry you by doing nothing or even bad. The only perk with the same exception is adrenaline and I dont like this perk either.
Ruin dont has a requierment but has a fairly easy and fast counterplay, noed HAS a easy and fair counterplay but it is really RNG. It depends on the map and totem spawns. And if you play alone it is even harder to cleanse all totems, and why should only your enemy worry about the counterplay and you have a very stressless mind about that?
On every perk you have to think about, oh god I have to do that or that to get the effect but I feel good because I got the nice reward of the perk after doing it. But on noed its nothing like that.
I use it because red ranked survivors simply do all the gens in 4-5 minutes, so I bring NOED because it's literally the only counter until the devs fix gen times.
-
I like the idea, but I feel it could be unfair like a Crit rocket in TF2. Imagine running from a killer only too be blocked by the Entity because of random chance. Or the killer happens too walk in on you being attacked by crows, and you have too take a hit or get insta downed.
I like the concepts, but it would be way too similar too hex totems. It would be unfair for survivors.
-
I would love too see a small Trapper Mask for killer and a Small Key for survivors.

Well that's simple. One was an easy fix, the other was not. If we can quickly find what's causing the problem, we're going to fix it as soon as we can. If we can't find what's causing it, we can't fix it.
You could of simply disabled the perk until a fix was out. But instead you let survivors run rampent and ruin the game.
OR you could of announced it in game so people didn't use it, then banned those who continued too use it.
There were so many options BHVR didn't choose too fix it correctly, just my opinion though.

Now, for a original killer I'd love to have a killer that uses the blight on survivors to transform them into zombie/monster allies. They should still be controlled by the survivor player though.
For me Xenomorph is my killer dream. Being able too run around on walls and ceilings and destroying survivors is so much fun.
My other one is something from FNAF, not because it would be good, but because it would make everyone on the forums go into a frenzy and I find that too be enjoyable. I like the chaos.

Not at all. Survivors do need too do gens, the problem is how fast they do gens. If I wanted survivors too never do gens then I would play Gen Slow Freddy, but that's an incredibly boring Freddy Build.

The issue is not generators speed, but rather the exorbitant amounts of pallets that can be thrown down instantly. It takes ages to catch survivors and it is difficult to apply pressure on them. So survivors find themselves doing generators while uninjured for the majority of the match.
That's the issue.
I disagree, even maps like Rotten fields were there are like 5 pallets they still just hold M1. It's not even uncommon too fight survivors who don't even heal, they just do gens because it's more optimal.

She had it coming for years. She broke the game and was left a monstrosity for that entire time. There was NOTHING you could do to counter a Nurse player that knew what they were doing before the nerf.
Looping? Ineffective against a Nurse that knows how to counter jukes.
Stealth? Good luck with that considering every new release adds more and more perks to make it harder for survivors to hide.
Gen Rushing? Didn't work against a character that can zoom across the map at mach 5 every few seconds.
Even if you managed to juke her it didn't matter. Her blink would recharge and she would close that distance again. There has never been a killer as powerful as her and I'm glad she's been changed.
No. Her addons did need fixing because Omega Blink and 5 blink weren't fun too fight. But the basekit nerf was way too damn much, and BHVR completely lied about a "small tweak" too basekit. Old basekit Nurse is arguably the most balanced killer in the game, since you didn't need pallets too loop her and she wasn't overbearing. She got overnerfed and she needs too have her old basekit back.

I mean you always get the first hit with Frenzy so you only get the benifits from STBFL when you down someone which doesn't really help unless you are trying to slug
