  • I agree. It was quite impressive.

Why does every killer run ruin? I promise it's not mandatory in high ranks. Some of these killers just don't know how to apply pressure. I'm sure none of you will agree with me since 99% of this forum are killer mains, but it's whatever. Keep your precious crutch perk.

Because Ruin/Corrupt is a perk that IS required on killers like Bubba and Wraith because they have literally 0 pressure on gens.

Also, talking about "crutch perk" when it can literally be broken in 10 seconds is incredibly unfair. When survivors have things like Adrenalin, Dead hard, DS, Unbreakable, Deliverance, Sprint Burst, Lithe, etc. that can't be destroyed for the entire map, calling Ruin a crutch is simply false.

Only four out of the eighteen cosmetics were not given out.

Uncoincidentally, they are also the only four that people actually had to work for.

People not wanting them to be given out to free was totally justified.

This. I would of loved those cosmetics but I completely understand why they want too keep them exclusive.

So standard perks are considered using every other Killer's persk?

You heard it here first, folks. I've played 8 games today as Legion at red ranks with standard perks (Ruin, Dying Light, Thana, Bamboozle) with Legion pin and stolen sketch book against red ranks - some of which were SWF I'm 99% sure - and I 4ked all except the first and last. He actually feels really great again! Just give us a 3 second cooldown on FF and we actually have a good killer again.

I disagree. Legion is easily the worst killer in the game ATM. Deep Wound is a complete joke with how buffed it's gotten, loosing M1 hits on Frenzy means perks like Sloppy, Franklins, and STBFL are all useless, The pin's don't work half the time in the games I've been using it, it almost feels random on who gets broken or not, and now the Deep Wound doesn't go down when sprinting, so you'll never even loose mend time anymore.

The strength of Legion isn't really from the deep wounds. It's from how easy it is to put people in the injured state. That's why it's always been completely pointless to run Sloppy on Legion, in red ranks at least. Survivors don't waste time healing against Legion because it's pointless. Sloppy is just a mediocre perk in general, on any killer.

STBFL has always been pretty mediocre on Legion as well. Sure you gained stacks easily, but you get no use out of the perk at all if everybody is already injured. It's a strong perk on M1 killers that rely on hitting survivors twice with their basic attack, which Legion should almost never be doing. Legion can not utilize STBFL as well as Pig or Demogorgon can. If anything, it's better on Legion now that you don't lose stacks by hitting your Obsession with your ability. Still a bad perk to run on Legion, though.

Franklin's is always mediocre in my opinion. You make someone drop an item and they are just going to go back and pick it up when they aren't in a chase with you. There's sooooo many other perks I would have take that perk slot over Franklins

Just because you get one free hit with Legion doesn't mean he's strong. If that was the case Plague would be SS tier. Legion still has too chase a survivor down once they are injured, which can cost you a lot if you get tunnel vision. And without sloppy survivors don't stay in the injured state so you'll spend most of the game injuring everyone, hooking one person, then injuring everyone again because they all healed and already did half a gen.

I already have all other Adepts. Plus, I'm a Wraith main... Wraith is my absolute favorite killer bar none and one of only 3 that I can use to hold my own with at Red Ranks. So no... Wraith isn't hell. I'd much rather get Adept Wraith 100 more times.

As for Legion... Yes, his power is kinda worthless (especially now). But he actually has some good perks (unlike Oni...) that make up for it. So going for the Adept doesn't make you feel perkless.

Mate wraith was just an example, it doesn't matter if you main him or not his perks are pretty worthless.

This match here, is like the many I can do as a killer. SLUG EVERYONE. Would the developers be so kind as to add something to the game so this cannot be done anymore. I mean I see you are going to be handing out DC penalties. and there are NO rules against this behavior of slugging, stated on the official rules book.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/831/KRE8DZLADPG4.jpg

This total thing went on for nearly 4 minutes. I think survivors really would appreciate this to be addressed. Since they will face account penalties for leaving. 😈

    - Btw the new map looks amazing that was launched today. 😃

Pretty sure just leaving them too bleed out is delaying the game, even then one DC won't ban them, the devs even said they give leway incase of game like this.

  • @Marcus said:

You should add Clown in Legion tier and then I would agree. Clown legit can't do anything if survivors camp pallets and rush gens.

Clown really isn't as bad as people say. he is weak, but he's def stronger then people give him credit for.

  • @Slaughterhouse3 said:

He seems amazing...I got completely destroyed though when I tried to play him 😂 anyone else having trouble or am I just bad?

I'm waiting too get him too 15 so I have 4 perks since red ranks, but the build I think would work best is Knock Out, Ruin, Thana, and Infectious. Then it just takes practice. he plays very similar too Billy so if you know how too play him it won't take much longer too learn Oni.

  • @savevatznick said:

    Play Billy instead.

Billy is so boring and basic though.

  • @Zixology said:

I just want to be able to get Adept Oni on console...

I've been depipping every match so far due to him nearly being just an M1 killer with the power to drop frames, but that's too slow.

This can't just be a "me problem" either because, while playing Survivor earlier, every Oni I faced got only 0-1k every single time.

    Three options:

    1. Let me DC and depip faster.
    2. Add the option to let us change our sensitivity and optimize console better.
    3. Buff his perks so we aren't basically running nothing in red ranks.

If you think Oni is bad, wait till you try and get Wraith or Legion. It's literally hell. Oni apparently got ghost nerfed, so his hitboxes are smaller then they were on PTB. I don't know if it's true or not but that's what I heard.

  • @liarcy said:

Sadly it’s the most recent map ( not anymore really) Hawkins it’s just bad I hate playing it not just as survivor but also as killer the map is very confusing and loud it’s hard to keep track of anything and well , pallets are a joke there

Hawkins really isn't as bad as people say. I've played the map as both killer and survivor, and as long as you play optimally the unsafe pallets can gain you tons of distance.

Personally Lampkin Lane needs the rework the most. It's a very poorly design and there can be infinites with just 1 window. and the 500 safe pallets make it so annoying.

  • @humanbeing1704 said:

if I'm being honest the speed and vault speed were super good

They are, but they are completely outweighed by the horrible nerfs Legion got.

  • There's a few parts that are SUPER dark, where Claud literally becomes a shadow and can't be seen (already seen a few abuse these spots.) but mostly the lighting is fine. I actually enjoy the dark map as it makes fighting/playing as killer a lot scarier, which I enjoy in a "horror" game.

  • @Venom368 said:

The speed buffs make it much easier to apply their power to multiple survivors and make the chases to hit people in his power shorter. They are worth talking about. Try playing Legion and you will notice the difference 100%.

Nobody went down to Deep Wounds before. Ever. I think I've seen 1 instance ever where somebody somehow went down to the deep wound timer running out. It's purpose is just delaying survivors for a bit. 12 seconds is a decent amount of time still, when compared to the 80 seconds it takes to repair a generator. Being able to keep survivors injured is Legion's specialty, and it's a massive waste of time to heal against them.

For some reason people commonly thing that Legion's builds involving Sloppy, Franklins, or STBFL are strong builds. Legion's power previously having the m1 effect gave people the excuse to run these mediocre perks on them. The strongest builds for Legion have never used any of those perks.

I think Legion is actually in an ok spot now with the recent changes. They definitely feel more fun to play than previously. Not the strongest killer, but that's ok. I think you are right in saying buffs/reworks involving deep wounds with him could just make him unfun/uncounterable to play against. I'm having more fun playing him now that pre-patch, and honestly think rather than trying to rework Legion's power, the devs should just put that time into the new killers they are working on.

The speed boost does make it easier, but when survivors simply mend in 12 seconds (8 if mended by someone else.) it doesn't mean anything. And I have played Legion, I've been playing them since the patch and they are so much worse then before.

The fact people never went down too Deep Wounds proves how useless it really was, even when it was made too "delay" the game. I had too run double blade addons before they were nerfed just too make it take longer and actually delay gen speeds.

Sloppy, STBFL, and Franklin's are not Mediocre perks. You could Argue that Franklin's is niche, but it def isn't mediocre. Sloppy + Thana was the core of Legion, and what made him a threat, now you can't even apply Sloppy at any good rate, and you'll never get STBFL stacks because of how his power works.

Legion is honestly worst then Leatherface IMO. His power is neigh useless unless fighting 4 Blendettes, the Deep Wound timer is a completey hinders Legion, the vault speed and movement speed is nice, but they are completely outweigh by the constant nerfs they make too him. He needs a complete rework in order too be something actually good.

  • @Andreyu44 said:

No,they need changes to their purple addons .

    Thats it

No they don't. They need a complete rework. Nothing about Legion's power is useful in any way, and with the constant buffs too mending they are easily the worst killer in the game.

  • I had the same problems when I played on xbox while my PC was down. The frames alone made the game impossible, but adding everything else on it, it was not enjoyable. I was very happy too be on PC when I got it fixed.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

People play through the bugs and errors, the DC problem is 100% a balance problem. And yes. They need to fix the balance problem. But they also need to issue punishment for DC.

So... Quit DCing and let me put you on the hook!

Except the ban system is incredibly easy too avoid by simply suiciding on hook, which there is still no punishment for. So it's neat but pretty useless.

  • @FlamingkittyUmad said:

This has been a thing for a while now, where the trapper will glitch traps partially into the ground to make them undetectable. as an exploit, this is bannable, right?

No. SImply put the layout of the map is at fault, not the Trapper. Plus these spots have been in the game since Launch, and more and more keep being found, so I highly doubt the devs will ban people for this. Best advice is too simply learn these spots and check them when fighting trapper.

Saving people from the killer's grasp when they're on death hook is still a thing. Taking that ability away from the survivors by default would not be purely for flair.

You can't save someone on death hook, which is what he is saying.

There's times where I have taken a break from playing and then come back but it's reaching a point where I just don't really feel like playing anymore. I mainly play survivor and I feel like it would be nice if another objective would be added or a different game mode.

Yeah we get new chapters but quite frankly it's more entertaining for killer mains because killers are actually play different, but survivors are essentially the same person just different perks. We (whoever mains survivor) usually get 2 ######### perks and 1 decent one that would later get nerfed so it's like... why am I buying this chapter again? lol

Anyone else got some input or feels similar?

I get burnt out anytime I fight constant gen rushers or toxic survivors, but I usually take a few hours break. I do find the whole "5 gens then get too an exit gate" incredibly boring nowadays, but that's why I play every killer, too keep the gameplay spicey and alive.

  • Bugs being ignored until a chapter or mid chapter patch.

    The fact infinites still exist.

Gates spawning 3 feet from each other.

    Matchmaking and SWF.

Low tier killers never getting buffs.

    Keys.

The fact every killer too come out this year has been nerfed/changed on launch even when the community says they are fine with where they are.

    Everything about the Nurse rework.

There's still no optimization or Color blind mode.

Gen speeds never being fixed so gens don't take 5 mins too complete.

The list goes on, and on, and on, but I felt these were the most important ones.

Well when the killer DCs there's no game to be played. I do agree that it shouldn't rob the survivors of points though.

This. I would leave a game if a killer DC'd but the game continued. There is literally no point too continue a game when the only threat is gone. I agree that there should be more points and a guaranteed safety if the killer DC's, but keeping everyone in the game would just be boring.

  • Personally, BHVR has just gotten lazy because they monopolized an entire market. They know no one can/has touched them yet so why should they give it 100%? I've personally wanted too have 2 less chapters a years, but put out weekly updates/bug fixes. All games have weekly bug fixes, and DBD has 3 week updates. There's enough content in the game ATM too tide people over until the game is in a much healthier state.

  • @DwarvenTavern said:

Yup, this isn't a joke. When can we have a glorious Ace Visconti? We have one for David King, but I don't want to be shirtless David, I'm an Ace main and I wanna show the killers what's what.

    https://deadbydaylight.gamepedia.com/Hex:_Ruin

Hey, i don't know if I was the one who started this, but probably might be.

How to: Keep in constantly pressing the key to start the repair in the generator and release right away, so if you keep spamming every one second 1 sec the key to repair, the skill check won't show up and you can complete a generator almost as the same time as no hex at all (not considering the great skill checks).

So this is how you avoid ruin. I discover this a long time before but never really care about it, but last week i did it in front of a guy and he was staring at me like I was the killer, and yesterday i was playing survivor as well, and in 9 matches that i playied, having 5 of them with ruin, 2 matches different guys were doing what i did.

I don't like the tecnique altho it works, you can try. I wish you guys could fix it, it's not a glitch, but u guys need to set a skill check if the survivor keeps spamming that button in the generator.

This is either bait or is gonna be a really rude awakening, but what you have just described is something called gen tapping, and it actually takes longer too do a gen if you just held M1 and powered through it.

Gen tapping has been in the game since Ruin and Lullaby were introduced (and probably sooner). My advice is simply to just power through it or find the totem.

  • Brutal Strength: Way too many tokens. You are pretty much guaranteeing a free hit once they drop a pallet, especially if paired with Enduring.

Shadowborn: It's interesting but It wouldn't work since it would be super broken on someone like Spirit, who would find you then simply phase hit you after the stun.

Lightborn: I like this change actually.

Stridor: No. This would be so annoying for both sides too hear constant screaming for 3 seconds EVERY TIME you hit/get hit.

PWYF: This wouldn't work since some killers just insta down, so they would be up too 15% faster and could down everyone and only loose 2 stacks. personally I would just want it too keep a stack if you down your Obsession like what happened during Patch 3.0.0

Third Seal: It would be worse then the current version because the current version has instant use.

Overwhelming Presence: It's not bad, but I don't see it being any more useful then it currently is.

Beast of Prey: The current buff it's getting on the PTB is fine for what it needs, plus it would have more then one use unlike the proposed change.

Knock Out: I feel like this is just too mean, No one knows where they are already, but too make them not know where there allies are would make bleed out a constant thing.

Bloodwarden: It doesn't need any change tbh. It's a niche perk and one that may not work every game, but when it does it's already a game changer. The proposed change is just not needed.

Hangman's Trick: This would either make hooks saves impossible, or it won't change anything since most survivors will save when the killer isn't near, or they have BT.

Bamboozle: Nothing is changed, it's just less wordy.

Spirit Fury: Absolutely not. Enduring is already a 50% stun reduction, and then you add another 10% on it survivors will have literally no chance too escape. Spirit Fury is a great perk already, it doesn't need a buff.

Mad Grit: The perk is fine as is, and there's really no reason too hook faster then it already is.

Corrupt Intervention: This would literally make all other gen slow perks useless. The start of the match would literally be the most boring because no one would do gens until it ended, so you would just walk around and see nothing until a minute has past. Corrupt is already a great perk and a good rival for Ruin, it doesn't need changes.

Furtive Chase: The reason it doesn't effect Terror Radius out of the chase is because you would loose 12 meter's of Terror Radius, and then add Monitor too that then you have lost 20 meter's of Terror Radius. Huntress would have 0 Terror Radius at max stacks, and Hag would have a 4 Meter Terror Radius. It's simply too strong with the stacks too allow it out of a chase.

Cruel Limits: This is literally just broken in all aspects. Cruel Limits is niche but it's not bad.

Honestly, most of these perks simply don't need changing, or the changes said are way too strong too be in game. Most of the idea's aren't bad, but the numbers are way too high or there's something in the changes that makes it too strong.

  • @humanbeing1704 said:

why the aesthetic of pink is nice in this game

This. I get what OP is saying but I love the color of Ultra Rare, and I personally wish we had Ultra Rare perks again because the color is not used as much as it should personally.

  • @gnehehe said:

Trapper is very fun and some simple QoL would render him more enjoyable and efficient:

    • Ability to carry 2 traps and start the trial with 2 traps by default
    • New animation to rearm traps which were disarmed (no need to pick it up then to replace it)
    • Traps will no more spawn on edges of the map
    • Injured survivors, who step into a trap, suffer from honing stone effect (down unless a partner help them)
    • Slight fine tuning of trap color: default traps and traps with yellow addon should be slightly darker (I do think that tar bottle is a bit excessive: 2 slight buffs and 1 slight nerf for balance)
    • No more excessive RNG-based escape: if someone steps into a trap, he should be immobilized for 8-12 seconds (current fast escape with a partner is ok) ... both 1-try escape and 10+ tries failure sound really wrong

    @bhvr: we need this ^ 😁

/edit: I do think that starting with all traps would be really excessive and this is not needed to improve the trapper

I'm fine with everything except the Honing stone one. How it is now is fine because even if they get out, if you're nearby you get a free hit anyway, and it would kinda suck too escape a trap just too be put into the dying state, you may as well of stayed in the trap. It's why I like the effect as an addon, because you don't see it that often.

If the killer body blocks a survivor such that the survivor cannot move at all call it SOFT LOCKING.

This is a term used in other games to describe a situation where the player is stuck indefinitely in one place and the only way to get out of it is to quit the game (see Mario Maker). This would help to differentiate it between normal body blocking, where a survivor takes a hit while the killer is carrying or when the killer blocks the survivor to get a free hit (eg. chainsaw).

Honestly getting tired of seeing threads about "body blocking" where the person does not understand the concept of what is actually bannable and what is allowed. This way there is no confusion. Both actions have different terms.

    BODY BLOCKING is allowed.

    SOFT LOCKING is bannable.

    Simple.

Simple. If you're hiding in a corner and the killer is running at you, move. If you get body blocked in a corner it's your own fault. Had someone complain that I was bad at the game because they hid in a corner, I was Plague and I ran straight too him, he didn't move and got body blocked, so I puked on him and killed him.

Body Blocking is the accurate term, and it shouldn't be bannable because if a survivor body blocks a hook, then they would be banned for the same thing.

  • To be fair they prob have too add physics too the snout of the trunk, then they have too make sure it isn't a glitchy mess. I do want the skin out now, but it'll still be a bit realistically.

  • @Karl_Childers said:

Kill rate is completely balanced (and actually exceeding) to the current speed of gens. People can attempt to dismiss the stats all they want, but it’s a fact that based off kill rate, killers are winning far more games than survivors. The pip system is an issue, but that doesn’t dismiss that. People ultimately play the game to win or lose, and while pipping is important, it will never trump the feeling of most players where they either need to win via kills or escapes. So we add a second objective so kill rates are minimum 80% across the board? Nope. For longer games, you have to add to BOTH sides. No addition should be brought in with the idea of bringing more kills. Extend everything, or nothing.

The stats don't mean anything because it's inaccurate. We don't know the actual kill rate because of multiple factors, such as what perks, addons, offerings, and the biggest one of them combining PC and Console stats. The data is near useless.

  • I would be sad, but then I would laugh at all the hate discussions.

I bet if they released survivor escape rates for a lot of different survivors, we'd see a lot of variance, despite survivors being nothing more than skins.

Agreed, the stats are completely inaccurate and have pretty much caused a riot for "NERF X KILLER!" The devs never should of released such inaccurate stats in the first place.

Honestly the only problem with Freddy is the Gen Slow Freddy, because those games can last years, but otherwise Freddy is in a good spot finally. I really hope they don't nerf him, even though I know they are probably going too.
