Since gens are way too easy to finish killers are forced to run perks like ruin+undying and pop+corrupt everygame so these are basically meta.
For survivor the meta is DS+Unbreakable + exhaustion add on which is most likely Dead Hard and either BT, Adrenaline or Iron will as 4th.
Needless to say, on paper the survivor perks outweight the killer perks because BHVR will never nerf them.

Blight because he can immediately down you again.

Nurse because she can immediately down you again.
Deathslinger because he can immediately... okay you get the idea.
how the ######### can deathslinger catch up after the 5 sec stun again?
-
swf
-
Loop extender every chase basically.
Definately needs changes.
-
This is how the devs expect you to play their little party game. 😂
-
I have seen more survivor mains complain about ds than killer mains lmao.
-
Most people get carried to red ranks by their SWF groups and then play solo even though they still have the skillevel of rank 12.
-
The same thread was posted 2 weeks ago lmao.
-
Leader makes your teammates heal you faster so that's not selfless at all.

because they have limited resources and can only do so much per update even if they know what all the problems are it still takes them a while to fix it and they also usually are forced to fix the spaghetti code around it so that similar problems don't occur in another month or so when new stuff is added
Then they should hire more people? They already get enough money their overpriced skins.
-
Endurance status effect should remove collision so BT can't be used offensively (which is not how the perk is supposed to be).
-
Mods don't have anything to do with development.
The "devs" on the forums have nothing to do with the actual balanceteam.
Your voice will not be heard.
-
I think things would have been the same even without quarentine.
If you look at the last 4 years of this game and BHVR you know how it is.
-
On base this game is survivor favored, just look at gens lmao.
Guess why we have to run all those meta perks for killer and survivor to bandaid the many flaws of this broken mess game. (Even though survivor can do fine without perks lol)
-
Nerf Iri Heads and Wind up add ons but buff something else that helps her pressure the map.
She has the same issue as Deathslinger.
-
-go for chase
-get one hit in maybe
-survivor gets to a very strong tile
either
-either chase him through the tile and get 1 hook for 3 gens
-or leave him and he heals with medkit while 3 gens are atleast 50%
Everything broken about survivors consists of free healthstates. Now medkits atleast make you immobile and take a few seconds to do but look at stuff like DS,BT,DH,Adr etc lmao.
-
Im pretty sure they are trying their best.
Majority of players complaining about DS for a year now and they do nothing though.
Maybe just another case of "keep your workers, don't exchange them".
-
Make borrowed time based on meters instead of terror radius so stealth killers can no longer ignore it.
Also make survivor lose collision while under the effect of borrowed time.
-
30 seconds of bodyblock? LOL
It shouldn't pause when downed.
-
Devs don't care, they never will.

welp, just as expected.

Midtier killer.
Definately owns unexperienced survivors.
-
A spirit that loops.
What did you expect.
-
Always do first gen you see so you get 3 gens on first hook with a decent team.
Just abuse gen times.
-
Nerf ds, because 95% of the community wants it nerfed lol.
incoming DS and Laurie Pfps.

Woah---
But that would BUFF him!!
Remove the no counterplay part of his kit and make him a bit better in chases and getting around the map seems fine.
After all he is a mid-tier killer.
-
Can't wait for BHVR to do the same with Deathslinger and make him 115ms.

A problem for who, incompetent killers? Tunneling killers? Killers that want ez 4ks? Because you are Mr. Killer you want the survivors to be completely defenseless all the time? I don't think so.
Not completely defenseless, but also not invincible for 2 minutes every match across all 4 survivors.
-
This build is not supposed to help you with vault speed.
You pair Resilience and Spinechill with Ironwill and Deadhard to stay injured through the most of the trial to get the bonus repair speed from relience, which is almost 8secs of a full gen.

We do not include disconnects. Suicides are harder to check for.
How to lose all credibility on your "data" with one post.
Brilliant.

That second build is 1. Brand new and 2. made almost solely for Blight and Billy.
The first build is just an overkill build because why would you use POP and corrupt, its like bringing NOED or BW you must go in with the mind set of failing. I get the feeling you're struggling as killer, and no shade, but maybe don't just listen to a youtube video for directions, the thing about killer is there is a lot of room for creativity both in builds and gameplay. Those cookie cuter builds might make you climb ranks but you might not be learning anything.
Also for the record as a killer main turned survivor main, I would rather run a perkless killer than perkless survivor lol
Green ranks? lmao
-
I love the random "if the generator is below 50% repaired" which bhvr just slapped on there.
Since Stranger Things DLC they slap random downside on killer perks and expect the meta to change.

@JimPickens666 said:
I can easily consistently escape in SWF, and have pretty damn good odds in solos which is actually what i prefer for just playing for "fun" in the game if that makes sense. So they nerfed Pop and thanta because people started using it after the ruin nerf. This does nothing for me as a survivor BUT the buffs to demos weak perks are at least a little interesting because the meta around killer is a lot more flexible. Nothing is THAT strong so those perks might be useful because you can really bring anything you want.
For survivor however i bring the same ######### 90% of games no matter what survivor im playing. DS, BT, Deadhard and then spinechill. Even the perks i normally substitute in aren't diverse (Maybe i'll throw in Adrenalin instead of spinechill or Sprit Burst instead of dead hard) and i know im not the only one obviously. The problem with this is that these perks are so strong that theres no reason to run weaker perks, and NO reason to run perks that just weaker version of other perks (Weird they buffed Demo's perks but not Steve's, maybe he's a lost cause) Why would i run buffed slippery meat instead of Deliverance? The others are just not strong enough to compare to meta perks, maybe by any means can be helpful or fun but will it be more helpful than DS? DH? Even spinechill?
They talk a lot about niche builds but the fact of the matter is any build that isnt meta is niche. There are meta builds on killer too but there is so much more diversity in perk builds that aren't niche even among the same killer. If you nerf something you do it so the other side is having more fun, but right now there is no killer perk that can be nerfed that would improve my experience, but there are a handful that everyone is aware of that would make the game more fun for killers AND survivors even though many people won't be able to see that.
Oh the exception being WGTLF, that was long over due. I dont think its possible to make a survivor perk designed as well as BBQ but it at least makes it worth taking along as opposed to the old WGLF
@EvilJoshy said:
As for killer's have a wider variety of perks to choose from. I think that stems from the fact each killer is different. Therefore perks that are bad on one killer might be great on another. BBQ is good all around but it's better on Billy, Oni, Spirit. Corrupt might not be very good for them but it's great for trapper and hag. Survivors are literally all the same. They all do the same thing just as well as everyone else. So their perks are narrow by comparison.
I agree it's boring to run the same 3-4 perks every game. Every time I try a meme build it feels like I get a face camping killer and I'm like "I should have brought DS". Course that also happens when I play killer too.
Excuse me what?
Pop/corrupt/bbq/ x
ruin/undying/tinkerer/x
You get to choose between 2 builds based on killer and have to fill in the x with a perk.
Besides, if you run meta perks on survivors you basically just overkill it because you don't even need perks to escape, unlike killer.

Pop's duration is being reduced because we found you could spend too much time doing other things and still have it available.
you are getting paid for this man....
come on, disappointing

He would need a very huge buff if he gets same treatment.
110ms killer guys.

I'll say the arguments against DS is fair - calling out the Devs over them probably isn't.
The Devs have to be super careful nerfing anything on the Survivor side. The wrong Survivor nerf could potentially break the game. This game is no fun if things are stacked for the Killer - it's no fun being Survivor, it's no fun being Killer.
You can't just nerf DS willy nilly, or the extremely delicate balance will be gone. If it's too hard being killer, well, time to slot Mori for 10 games or so. Fix that issue real fast.
DS that.
Really shows how imbalanced this game is by it being bandaided by perks.

@BongRips4Wraith said:
Literally 99% of the time I use Pop its either right after I hook someone or I use it and still have 30 seconds on it. Sometimes I even don't use it at all because taking the chase is the better decision.
This nerf doesn't change that. It does change scenarios where killers were getting chain pops which almost always forces the game to a defeat in uncoordinated teams. Playing solo is already frustrating enough and Pop is one of those perks that further punishes you personally in solo queue for lower performing teammates. Why wouldn't I run a sweaty 4 man every game with people I know are decent when the other side is constantly getting rewarded for scenarios that aren't my fault???
It's a perk that gives you a massive reward for simply doing your job, now there's slightly more risk. It hardly even a nerf but people are so reliant on running the same perks every game they can't handle a tiny hair of a change.
Again, its not about the nerf itself, its about BHVR nerfing pop over DS.
-
@brokedownpalace said:
Or maybe, and hear me out on this, just because the devs nerf one thing does not mean they need to nerf something else that is completely unrelated.
No one ever complained about Pop, even though it's argueable the best and most balanced killerperk in the game rn.
The majority of the community complains about DS, BHVR said they are "looking into it", yet do nothing.
Meta perks are getting nerfed, so how is it unrelated to ds?
-
@Science_Guy said:
Or, maybe... they realized 60 seconds for a perk you can use on-demand 11 times in a game may be excessive in a way 60 seconds for a perk you can use once per match is not.
This post reveals one thing about the OP: salt.
If they came to the conclusion that pop needs a nerf over ds then the devs might not have been paying attention to the last years of this game lmao.
No need to bring up salt 'argument' because most of the community is pissed atm of the poor decision making.

@Alphasoul05 said:
There's 4 survivors and 1 killer, so obviously they're going to make the game more fun for the majority, while making it tolerable for the minority.
I wish red ranks was 'tolerable' for killers.

But DS got buffed after the rework already?
Nice try lmao.

You're ignoring the fact that this game used to be overwhelmingly survivor sided and now it's much more balanced. As of the latest numbers we have the game was actually killer sided.
"latest numbers"
Lmfao. You mean the kill rates which are completely unreliable because it counted dcs and no conditions were given?
There was never a point in this game where survivors are weaker and If you say that this game is killer sided rn then just look at red ranks.
-
It's very funny how Ormond needs another huge balancing even though it already had one.

@CashelP14 said:
This post just proves that the devs can make a perk SLOW DOWN GENS MORE yet still killers complain.
Thana first off isn't a great Oni perk. There are a lot better perks to run on him.
Secondly they are right about the lose-lose thing. You either heal which is slow or you do gens slow. The new one will now encourage survivors to heal ahead of working on gens.
Lastly I see this change as a buff to Plague. It now makes gens slower or the survivors cleanse and give her corrupt purge.
The example they gave for Pop was correct. You can down someone and still have time to use Pop which is a bit overkill. This change isn't going to destroy the perk like people are trying to imply it will.
"buff to plague"
Plague is unplayable since dedicated servers lmao.
Can't wait for thana numbers to increase by like 4%.

Every killer did not leave after the Ruin nerf. Everyone said they were going to leave and then life went on as normal. I didn't notice long survivor queue times at all when Ruin was nerfed. All of that pretty much started when Crossplay went live.
I had 10minute survivor queues after the Ruin nerf. It went better after they nerfed toolboxes and co-op repair speed.
-
Its all about the money money money.

@Mew said:
There's still the PTB, not every change is set in stone for live.
You mean like last PTB where they released an outdated version and then changed add-ons to live on their own without listening to feedback?
-
I love how 0 survivor meta perks got touched but Pop gets nerfed because ######### perks that reward you for playing good lmao.
-
Blight has Hex:Undying.
Doctor has Monitor&Abuse.
Ruin+Undying+Tinkerer is pretty good and can compete with red ranks.

How can someone be so biased to actually think that anything on Freddy is worse than anything on Clown? Clown basically lost his right to exist when Freddy got reworked.
All I said was that Freddy has worse chasing than clown, especially after latest clown buff.
He is obviously far superior because of his teleport and other passive effects.
OP claimed that Freddy has no counterplay in chases, but by that logic people would also complain about clown alongside Deathslinger and Pyramidhead right?
