A Trap from Trapper and a Trap from Hag are 2 totally different things, you cant compare them by any means. Freddy can be compared more to clown, if anything.

Trapper is not that bad as you make him. As mentioned, he just needs a small boost in the beginning of the game, and thats it. Imagine having half of the map completly trapped within the first 30-40 seconds would be rediculous.

it's literally no different then Hag doing a 3 gen strat, they can just put all the traps near 3 gens in 20-40 seconds as well. And again, Trappers traps can be disarmed and destroyed, making him have even less traps then other killers.

Giving the trapper all his traps from the start on would be insanly overpowered. If he starts with one more trap baseline, he would be fine.

It would be no different then Hag or Freddy starting with all their traps. It really wouldn't be as OP as you think since survivors can disarm them, and even break the trap altogether.

  • The Archives as a whole are very good for the game, but the challenges create a very unhealthy environment in the game. Amount of times I'll hook someone just for them too immediately get saved for farm is insane. The challenges were poorly thought out, and I don't think BHVR even tested them, it feels like they read them on paper, said "yea that will work." and didn't try it practically.

  • Honestly, the best fix for him is for him too spawn with all his traps like all trap based killers, and rework the bag addons. Currently the best thing too do for trapper is 3 gen strat, get all the traps too your zone, then stay there the entire game. That's the best way I've been able too use him.

  • I'm still waiting for color blind mode for those who are color blind.

  • @brokedownpalace said:

Woah you can 4k with Spirit. Wild.

Congrats, you have missed the entire point of the story.

As for OP, this is pretty funny if it's true. Even if it isn't it was still a nice read.

  • Possibly. The problem with PWYF is that Ghostface can only save stacks with it if someone's exposed, which you aren't guaranteed some times. So you may loose more stacks then gain if you have too M1 survivors.

Nemesis isn't bad, but I can't see why you wouldn't just cloak when you're stunned and they loose LoS, making them unsure if you're following them or leaving them for another.

I'm sure it isn't a bad combo, but it seems very unreliable.

  • For me, my perks are Ruin/Corrupt, Sloppy, Thana, and the final perk's a toss up between Dying Light or Monitor. Addons I go for Mew's guts and Rat Liver/Rat Tail.

For portal placements I put them on gens. The Undetectable status is more of a gimmick to me, so unless you're running his Moss Addon, it's not gonna help much. However, survivors are more willing too waste time breaking the portal then doing the gen since they want too hear the terror radius, plus you can sense when they are on a portal, giving you info and making them waste time.

EDIT: forgot a good tip for Demo. Learn how too mindgame with Shred. Just having it ready can make survivors do really bad moves too avoid it, so if you ready it and they immediately dodge left, you can just cancel it and get a free hit/down. Also, try and use Shred instead of kicking pallets in chases. Shred can force survivors too drop pallets sooner, so breaking it faster is the best thing you can do.

  • Best addons are Power recovery and harder detection. If you stalk a lot then get stalking addons, but the rest are pretty useless. Crouch speed is fun, but useless.

Ok, one thing at a time...

As far as weekly devstreams go, alot of times theres not really much to talk about on a week by week basis. The devs DO stream themselves PLAYING the game on a pretty regular basis, but you'll be lucky to find ANY game that does a WEEKLY devstream update. I know Warframe skips around from doing one every 2 weeks to once a month.

As far as bugs go...Yes, theres bugs, lol. Im not gonna pretend theres not bugs, theres youtube series that are pretty much just compilation of videos showcasing bugs. You cant tell me that you've missed the huge laundry list of bug fixes at the bottom of every patchnotes list though. You said theres certain bugs that have been around since release. What bugs are you referring to SPECIFICALLY with that, and please dont say hitboxes or something.

As far as buffs and nerfs go, its kinda both sides. Alot of their decision making feels like it came outta nowhere, I'll admit to that. The changes on the PTB for Legion's base mend time because they felt his mend time when he stacked 2 mend time addons was too long was...odd. On the other hand though, many changes they HAVE done was things that came STRAIGHT from the community. When Demogorgon hit PTB, everyone saw his UR addon that made shred break pallets and said "That should really be base-kit". On the current PTB now with the Spirit changes, the changes to Prayer beads, collision and vault animation were all community ideas. Sure they havent implemented every change that everyone has ever thought of, but much of that is simply due to many ideas not being agreed upon by the community as it is. I COULD list off far more changes that they DID implement if you want, but I'll just end this here for now.

They don't have too talk about the behind the scenes every week, but it would be nice too have a 30-45 min QnA stream a week so we know the communities voice is being heard. ATM it feels like people are just shouting into empty air on the forums with constant "we'll look into it" or "we are listening." being shouted back, but nothing is looked into and they rarely listen.

I Think the most famous bug is the one where killers get stuck inside pallets when there dropped on them. It's constantly "getting patched out." but always comes back, most recent time was with Ghostface. Another one is the horrible Animation glitches, like when you get Adrenalin at the precise moment you get grabbed, so you just become a vacuume and slide across the floor on you're belly (personally had this happen too me.)

it's not really a glitch, but where is the optimization for DBD after 3 years? I guarantee a lot of problems could be fixed of the game was optimized better. As far as I know there isn't any plans for better Optimization, so why is that?

Do you have any idea how difficult it is to fix bugs, especially in a 3-year-old game that's had dozens of patches, big and small? A single typo in a single line of code, buried under years of band-aid fixes and patches designed to fix other unrelated issues, can cause a game to instantly crash, or completely break a core system of the game. Even the most polished modern videogames are not devoid of bugs.

Fallout 76 is not even functional half the time. It freezes and crashes constantly. Core systems of the game, like enemy AI, character animations or physics often stop working entirely. Not to mention that Fallout 76 is a full-price game that has its own pay-to-win cash shop. Also, Fallout 76 is a crappy game with terrible design and tedious, mediocre, cynically copy-pasted gameplay.

They may have stopped doing dev streams every week (Probably because it took a lot of time away from actually doing their job and working on the game), but they post regularly on their forums and reply to threads on a regular basis, which is more than most developers can say. Just look on the Overwatch forums, for example; the developers haven't replied to any of the popular balance-related topics on their forums in almost three months.

Not to mention that you're overlooking the countless instances where they actually listened to the community and acted upon their feedback: The community wanted Nurse changed, so they reworked the Nurse, twice. The community wanted Spirit changed, so they reworked Spirit, twice. The community wanted Legion changed, so they changed the Legion. I could go on and on; compared to its original launch, Dead By Daylight's gameplay is almost unrecognizable, as virtually every element of the game has been tweaked heavily since then, and nearly all of those changes were made based on community feedback.

And, in fact, just a couple of days ago, the developers made an announcement that they would be changing the level 3 tome challenges, in response to the community's feedback that the challenges were too difficult. During Thanksgiving week, no less.

Do you wanna know what the actual bare minimum is? Just maintaining the game's servers and never actually releasing any new content. It can be done with a tiny skeleton crew of developers, and it requires almost no effort or expertise whatsoever. There are countless games which do just that. The developers are anything but lazy; in fact, I suspect that they're being overworked to keep up with the demand for changes and new content.

The fact you said "A single typo in a single line of code, buried under years of band-aid fixes and patches designed to fix other unrelated issues, can cause a game to instantly crash, or completely break a core system of the game." proves my point. Why are they band aid fixing bugs instead of making sure the bugs are gone?

The community Managers do, but what about Mcote himself? or the art designers? They always brought many different devs into those streams, so you always got some different insights on different topics. And I can't see how taking an hour out of their day is really them not doing their jobs. Though I agree most devs do not speak too the community, but it's whether they listen too the community is what's truly important.

People did want Nurse changed, but not her base kit. they nerfed that into oblivion, and when many people complained that she needed too be reverted, they ignored it all and pushed her live anyways. The Legion changes are more a nerf then a buff since loosing M1 hits as Feral hits completely neuters Legion, and faster ms and vault speed doesn't overlook that fact. The only one you got me on is Spirit, since they kept her power the same, but made her more fair too fight and less of a coin flip.

And you can't really use the Level 3 tome challenges as an example since people already knew they sucked since the PTB, but they ignored it all until the entire community wanted it changed, then they caved. And it's not even coming out until chapter 14! So we're al stuck with Luck based challenges instead of skill based.

I know they aren't actually doing the bare minimum, it was more an exaggeration then anything, My point was they don't do what they could do, and it does feel like they do the bare minimum. If there's bugs in the game that have been around since Launch after 3 years, they aren't doing what they should be doing IMO.

Yeah cgi never looks good for horror imo, practical effects are great and bring realism to it. But that's why I don't think fnaf will do well because it was never realistic looking and for some would break the immersion

It's possible, but to be fair Demogorgon is really out there when it comes too design wise for dbd. It's the most unique looking killer, and that's one of the reasons I love Demogorgon. It's not just another human with special powers/sharp knife. Will FNAF ever be in dbd? probably not. Would it be fun because it's something other then a human with a knife/sharp object? absolutely.

Its a monopoly in that all the competition that it DID have fizzled out quick. SOMEHOW DBD managed to survive and is currently growing in popularity when none of its competition came anywhere close. Even Friday the 13th at its peak of interest doesnt rate near what DBD has right now...at this very moment. Its currently 2:30 am for me and DBD has more players online right now then F13 had...ever. Thats GOTTA tell you that this game is doing SOMETHING better than all those other games.

It is doing better then the rest, but that doesn't mean BHVR is doing the best they could. Where did the weekly dev streams go? Why are bugs from the games launch still in the game? Why is there very little community feedback when it comes too buffs/nerfs?

I'm not trying to be rude sorry. But I'm just confused. Also what cgi in elm street? Are you talking about the remake?

Freddies dead, the Final Nightmare was a CGI nightmare. Anytime those weird dream demons were on screen it burned my eyes.

If you think this is the "bare minimum" and that BHVR isn't trying, you clearly haven't seen what it looks like when a game company isn't giving their best effort.

I know when a company isn't trying, it's happening in dbd. DBD has had bugs since launch that still haven't been fixed, there hasn't been a single update where the game didn't get filled with 800 bugs. They rarely ever listen too the community on anything balance wise (looking at you, rework Nurse.), and they even stopped the weekly dev streams where they actually communicated with the community. They are doing the bare minimum IMO.

And for another company, look at Bethesda's Fallout 76. It's pretty much Fallout 4 with 800 more bugs, micro transactions, looboxes, and a dumb yearly membership for content that should be base.

I'm saying the looks.. no one would ever take going against a cartoony looking furry seriously. It would be a bad image for the game. Not only that but your argument makes no sense, the reason they acted cartoony is because they were self conscious about what they were doing, and the characters would still be taken seriously even with the jokes at times. Apparently you don't watch much of the movies it seems.

    @hematophagy said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/877688#Comment_877688

Btw no one ever took fnaf serious compared to other movies you stated, like Evil dead, the first movie wasn't even a comedy, the second one which was basically a revision of evil dead one was completely comedic horror. You should watch the movies before talking about them

    @hematophagy said:

Dude no one cares about Fnaf lol, he was talking about Nightmare on elm street. Just take your time to read things from now on

lol why you being so toxic? we're having a calm discussion, chill with the attitude.

As for the posts, Fnaf def doesn't look any more cartoony then Army of Darkness or Elm Street's CGI. And just because they look cartoony doesn't mean DBD wouldn't fit it in their own style. FNAF would work just fine in DBD. I'm not holding my breath for it, but I'm not gonna complain if it gets introduced as a chapter.

And as for the post with Freddy, you can't say Freddy when talking about 2 different things that have Freddy as the vocal point. I'm no mind reader, there was no indication that's what he was talking about.

  • @LordGlint said:

The irony is the game is currently more successful than its ever been, one look at the steam charts will tell you that.Every one of its competitors...who have all had the same exact concept...have died. DBD on the other hand is still on the rise, and has had quite abit of success with its console ports. People who constantly suggest that the devs are driving the game into the ground and its gonna die... havent done much research. This game is only going up.

It's because the monopolized a market, not because the game is good. As you said, no game that has the concept of an A-Symmetrical Horror has done well, but that doesn't mean DBD is doing well either, it's simply doing better then the rest.

IMO BHVR has gotten lazy, and are happy with the bare minimum. Why try when you know nothing else can touch you? It's why I'm hoping Last Year's steam release succeeds because BHVR needs competition too make them try.

  • Personally, I don't think BHVR goes 100% for this game simply because it has no competition. As you said, there is no competition that's worth their weight besides maybe Identity V, but since that's a Phone exclusive, I don't see it as competition. They know we'll always come back because it's so unique, so they don't give it 100% because they know people will always stay.

it's why I hope Last Year's steam release makes it very successful, so BHVR has competition and they can hopefully start listening too the community more. I want both games too be the best they can be, but BHVR IMO has gotten lazy and are happy with the bare minimum instead of going all out.

No, Freddy, the iconic killer known by generations from A Nightmare on Elm Street, not some crap toy.

probably should of specified that when there's 2 freddies mate. Even still, Freddy Krueger is still just a Spirit/Demon, he isn't a god. He def isn't stronger then the Entity power wise. My point still stands that Pennywise wouldn't join the Entity willingly, and I highly doubt the Entity is stronger then Pennywise.

  • @hematophagy said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/877611#Comment_877611

Hate to break it to you, those characters are way too cartoonish and would never be added do to that reason. I could never see Bhvr putting it into the game. They aren't dumb enough to do so lol

Have you seen Nightmare on Elm Street 4 and onward? That series turned more cartoony then FNAF did IMO. Freddy never wipped out a Power Glove and killed someone in a video game.

yes, FNAF is cartoony, but there is always a very serious undertone when it comes too the lore once you dig a little. Elm Street after the third Movie simply got way too goofy and silly too be scary, and the director of 4 said he wanted Freddy to be like James Bond.

Leatherface got REALLY, REALLY cartoony there for a while. With every movie pretty much making a new timeline, and most of them went more comedy then horror, it got out of hand fast.

Ashe from Evil dead comes from a horror comedy, and If you watch Ashe Vs. Evil dead, that show get's cartoony pretty fast.

Simply put, just because there is a cartoony element in a movie/game doesn't mean it won't fit DBD. Most of the big names in DBD atm got really goofy, cartoony, and out of hand at some point in their careers. I think Demogorgon is the only licensed killer that was brought in and it still is a very serious show.

  • @anarchy753 said:

Not every killer is "a puppet." Freddy is on a similar level of power to Pennywise, I'd say, and proves to be basically unkillable over and over, yet chooses to be in the fog.

Clown has basically come in completely by choice to kill people. It's not as black and white.

Freddy Fazbear is a robot possessed by a dead child, Pennywise is a god. They are def not on equal power.

Ignoring that, A better killer from FNAF would be Springtrap since he was the original killer. I could see Springtrap joining willingly, but I can't see Pennywise doing so since he's so powerful already he doesn't need another gods help too kill people.

    Dislaimer (for mods):

this is not yet ment to be a suggestion. i am just trying to throw the idea into the room and get some feedback regarding it. if majority of the people like it, i will make a suggestion post in the "Feedback and Suggestions" subforum (might include changes, this is just the first idea ive had)

    Deep Wound changes:

uppon being inflicted by Deep Wound, you will gain a stopped timer.

the timer will remain stopped, until you start an action (excludes chase actions like dropping pallets / vaulting, includes any other action such as: repairing, mending, healing, unhooking, cleansing, etc.)

once the timer has been started, it will not stop until it has eigther been removed by the survivor or the survivor bled out and enters the dying state.

mending includes skillchecks. uppon missing a skillcheck, the killer receives a noise notification and your mend bar is reset. you will also be forced out of the animation.

the mend bar can not reach 0% (dropping you dead), while you are in the mending action.

the killer can see the progress of the mend bar again.

why do i think these chases would be good?

the current form of Deep Wound seems like its heavily Survivor sided, basically giving them a free health state with little to no downside to it.

the current Deep Wound has no real effect on the game, mending is a joke and you literally dont have to mend at all, if you stay close to the killer (while he is chasing someone, ysou can stand within 32m to them and just focus on repairing without having to stop and mend), therefore it misses out on the one aspect it is supposed to do, which is slowing down the game.

my change would stop this, as Survivors would now have to leave the area and search for a safe place while they mend, as they otherwise risk being found with an active timer, which would basically mean a guaranteed down, if they dont lose the killer quickly.

that way Deep Wound would actually be a bad effect for Survivors, as they would be literally useless to the team uppon being inflicted with it. there would also be no more problem with the killer seeing the progress of the mending bar, as it wouldnt be able to be abused as a tracking tool - and it sucks when you as the killer dont have information on what survivors are inflicted with tbh.

on top of that, it would indirectly nerf Borrowed Time, as the famous multiple basement escapes would now be a lot riskier to do, since once you have the paused timer, uppon unhooking someone you start bleeding out, therefore risking your own life. with other words, when unhooked with Borrowed Time, you now got to decide between escaping with an additional health state or putting yourself at danger by unhooking someone else, leading to your demise.

this will also indirectly change Legion, as they heavily rely on Deep Wound and they would be able to waste a lot more time than now.

    what do you think?

would this help, would you be happy with these changes or would you change it differently?

please share your feedback in the comments!

have a wonderful day / night,

i'll see you in the fog! (or not since im unable to play right now, but the thought counts, doesnt it? :3 )

I don't think it's a bad concept, the problem is that it doesn't change the core problem with Legion, which is his power is doo doo. The only way too fix Legion is by completely reworking him like Freddy. His power will either be way too strong and uncounterable, or way too weak and frustrating too play as.

  • @UlvenDagoth said:

Yeah you are right. The first time they beat Pennywise, it was cause of the Turtle.

Personally, I want Jack Torrence as a Killer for a Shining Chapter. he would fit much better then Pennywise IMO.

  • @Monlyth said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/877591#Comment_877591

Pennywise is a god? How was a god defeated by a handful of mere mortals? Pennywise may be an ancient, eldritch being, but I'd hesitate to call him a god if he can taste defeat at the hands of normal humans.

The Entity could destroy all of its victims if it wanted to, and all efforts to challenge the Entity's power have ended in abject failure.

I haven't read the books, so I may be off, but I do know Pennywise is essentially a god of pure Evil, while the turtle is a god of pure good. And the loosers club beat him in the books (again, may be wrong here.) because the turtle gave them cosmic powers too kill/banish Pennywise off of earth.

And of course those who challenged the Entity lost, they are all humans. Pennywise isn't. It's why he simply wouldn't fit. It doesn't make sense that an all powerful God of Evil could be controlled by another God of Evil.

Well, apart from the stigma surrounding FnaF, Springtrap brings his own design challenges.

What would his power be? How would you create a power that both fits the themes of FnaF, and fits into the gameplay of DbD?

The animatronics' methods of killing tend to be too straightforward to provide interesting gameplay. Usually they just sneak up on you, sometimes crawling through the vents, then either forcefully stuff you into an animatronic suit (Which doesn't sound like it would be fundamentally different from hooking survivors), or kill you offscreen somehow. Maybe they strangle/crush you with their bare hands or bite your head off? Either way, what would differentiate them from killers like Myers or Ghostface?

What would his animations look like? The animatronics have never had any 3D walking animations, much less all the animations you'd need for a full-fledged DBD killer. The FnaF games leave a lot to the imagination. It'd be difficult to create a killer that captures the same emotions one feels when playing a FnaF game when they're a fully visible and mobile creature, instead of a killer that briefly appears on a camera, or in a dark corner of your vision, before vanishing in the blink of an eye, then pouncing right in your face.

FNAF AR has Springtrap with fully fledged movement, and his power could be something like doctors where it creates the Phantoms from FNAF 3 too scare and distract survivors. The only problem for me would be his design and what survivor would be used. It's not like anyone you play as has a face.

  • @NightmareReborn said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/877080#Comment_877080

I'm obviously going to be biased, and hated for defending FNaF here, but I feel like people give it a lot less credit than it deserves sometimes.

I, as someone who's liked the games since day one, think that FNaF has become greatly oversaturated with all sorts of different games. It was originally only supposed to be FNaF 1, 2, and 3, but after 3 was received poorly, he made 4, and after that was received poorly... it sort of just spiraled out of control from there.

That being said, there's still a reason it's still alive today. FNaF has an extremely creative community, constantly producing many neat and original fan games that aren't that bad. The reason why people associate FNaF with a younger audience is because... well, that's what it is. FNaF has a T rating compared to DbD's M rating, so it only makes sense that it would attract a younger audience. Regardless of the community, the lore of the series goes pretty in depth, and I think that's where people begin to merge it with the idea of a FNaF character coming to DbD. It's why when someone brings up the idea, Springtrap (the main killer of the franchise) is mostly always the wanted killer, and NOT Freddy.

Here's the lore of the character. Obviously, I'm not going to make you read it if you don't want to (just skip the next paragraph then), but it sort of provides the argument for why many people think he should be included in DbD.

In a summary, Springtrap was an employee of Freddy Fazbear's Pizza that lured dozens of children into a backroom, trapping them and killing them. The trapped spirits of the children eventually are accidentally freed, corner him into a lethal animatronic suit, which killis him, but his spirit lived on. After several decades, the decaying suit (with his corpse inside) is brought over to a tourist attraction, which later burns down. He survives the fire, and manages to arrive at an unknown establishment, where he is lured inside alongside the last remaining trapped spirits. That place turns out to be a trap built by his former coworker, and the place is lit on fire, killing and releasing the spirits of everyone inside. Springtrap is then sent into an eternal purgatory, where he suffers against all of the abominations he made for all of eternity.

It's why I personally feel cheated everytime someone just says "FNaF is cringey jumpscare material! Of course it shouldn't be included as a killer" and call it a day. There is more to it than what meets the eye. However, if you were to read through the full lore, many arguements, and many concepts, and THEN decide that FNaF wouldn't be a good addition, that's perfectly fine. I personally think that Springtrap would be a pretty cool addition, but I understand that's not a popular opinion. I also understand that this game is sort of taboo when it comes to DbD, but I highly encourage people to give it a fair chance before deciding on a final verdict.

Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk.

I wouldn't be opposed too the idea of Springtrap in DBD, but it isn't something I'm holding my breath for. I'm more interested in the hate it would cause. Angry rants are cupcakes too me >:)

I mean, the games fun but like I definitely dont feel like it cares that I am playing it. I think last year is gonna make a comeback

I hope it does, but it will all depend on if they fix the problems it has atm.

  • It's currently bugged, so instead of counting multiple emblems, it counts the one game as having 1 emblem. It's getting fixed next week.

  • I don't think it is, but I'm not entirely sure. I would personally say it is since it's both griefing and delaying the game, but the devs allow stream sniping so I don't really know.

  • I've never face camped, but I do tunnel the griefing survivors. There's no reason too ruin someone else's day because you want a lol moment. This killer is my Spirit animal. (pun intended)

  • I would like it as well, but they can't because it would ban the game in certain countries. It's why the Demo doesn't bite the head off completely, it would ban the game in countries that don't allow that.

However, I do agree Trapper, Wraith, and Billy need new Mori's. They have the most boring out of the bunch, and It's never impressive. Hell, Wraith and Trapper have almost the same Mori, just different weapons.

I really liked the difficulty of Level 3. 1 was just boring and so is Level 3 now. Great!

The only change which was needed was the 2 egc saves and the Bug fix.

I thought they were called "Challenge" for a reason. Thats just sad. I probably have it done in one or two days. :(

Please consider there are Players that want difficult and challenging Challenges!

It needed changes because of the fact most master level challenges are luck based instead of skill based. getting 2 safe unhooks during EGC in one game is not skill based, it's pure luck. This is only 1 out of many that aren't skill based.

Then if they fix my threads and then tell me about it, or hell if i even see them fixed i'll be happy. But them deleting the new one along with the other two being locked? Yeah, i'm not hopeful for anything. AS I said at the start of this, it seem just a little too perfect to be just a bug.

If you were truly being silenced, then this post wouldn't be on the first page, which is how I found it. And as for it being "too perfect" we all remeber patch 3.0.0, where half the perks in the game were bugged. BHVR has done some magical thing's when it comes too bugs.

Unless there's actual evidence of them deleting/hiding posts, I can't agree with it being censorship. Honestly it's probably two different events that happened at different times.

Why do people think like this? lmao.

They've had a system in place for well over a year for releasing skins, it obviously works, why would there ever be a delayed skin for a system that's been working for so long, as an added note just incase you weren't aware, the archive system is only a month old so yea, when you change things to do with a new system it's likely going to cause more delays.

For me, it's just weird how no cosmetic has been delayed ever, but updates are constantly delayed. Even cosmetics tied too events come out on time, but the event itself gets delayed.

They can see this and explain it to me then. All I want is answers for why both of my rework threads are locked in place on the forums. When someone posts in them, they don't move. Other things with less activity is above it (no posts in days/weeks) and STAY ABOVE IT cause mine doesn't MOVE. Then the new one gets deleted. I'm asking for answers here, and letting everyone know this is going on.

To be fair, how long did it take for the devs too explain the "unexpected circumstances" when it came too the event? BHVR rarely ever say problems that exist in the games/forums unless it's something big, like the potential data breach.

It absolutely sucks that they don't tell problems, but It's nothing new with them. They would rather just fix things and then sweep it under the rug then say "hey, there's X problem atm, we're looking at it."

  • I know what's happening, it happened too me on steam. Because of the fact it was the same post multiple times, it was removed for "spam" even though the old posts had problems. On steam I had a post on ARK talking about bugs, it got closed for unknown reasons, made another post linking too the old one, and I got banned for 2 weeks for "spamming the same post multiple times."

It's really dumb that they aren't fixing the issue, but I really don't think it's them silencing thing's on the forums. If that was true I would of been banned since I rarely have anything nice too say about the devs, and I'm constantly calling out the devs for problems, so I'm sure I'd be put on a silence list as well if they had one. Let's calm down with the conspiracy talk and just try and reach a dev for answers.

Seriously, bug fixes get delayed, archive changes get delayed, bonus events get delayed, but those Christmas sweaters we can buy for $2.50 will sure as heck be out when planned

Yep. They delay things for convenience. It's easier too release everything in one patch, instead of making multiple patches for different content. Skins are money so of course they'll release on time.

  • You don't.

In all seriousness you can either hope you get lucky and you can net it, or wait a week until the level 3 challenges are fixed so it's easier too get.

That's correct, but I still don't see it worse than Corrupt.

For they are on equal level. If Ruin lasts longer then Corrupt then I find it better, but Corrupt isn't a gamble, it's there and survivors have too deal with it. Essentially Ruin is a gamble, but Corrupt is consistent. It comes down too preference.

  • MaA is prob one of the most underrated perks for killer tbh. It works wonders on people like Huntress and Hag, and on other killers it can cut down on chase time by getting closer too survivors.

  • Most would say Ruin, but it's not as consistent as Corrupt is IMO. Devour is a perk that is high risk/high reward, and when a survivor doesn't spawn on top of it, it works wonders when you get 3 stacks and the gens miraculously stop being done.

  • @JamesDBD said:

I think it should remain manual, for the simple reason that you're playing as the survivor on the hook, you should be struggling to keep yourself alive.

If you were pressing nothing it would be easier but you wouldn't feel as if you are struggling, which you should as its part of the game and you're on the second part of the hook.

It doesn't feel like a struggle now anyways. It always annoys me more then struggling. The struggle is not letting myself die so I can keep my keyboard.

  • Wait, I read the poll wrong and voted wrong, oops. I meant "no" as in, No, it shouldn't stay.

I hate the struggle phase because of the stress it puts on the keyboard, plus playing survivor for a long time really wares out your hand when you're constantly in the struggle phase. The argument of "you're suppose too feel like you're in a struggle" is kinda weak when they could do many different things too make it feel like a struggle then mashing space bar.

  • Map Offerings are annoying, but the only one I have a problem with is Haddonfield, and even then it's more because of balance landing then anything. Once the BL nerf comes in and makes it consistent with other exhaustion perk Haddonfield won't be so damn painful.

  • There's no penalty for when it's broken in 10 seconds because a survivor spawned on it, except the penalty for the killer for loosing the gamble.

  • lol no that's not camping. They were clearly trying too farm each other and completely failed at doing it, so they had too protect their prides instead of accepting their failure.

Even if it was camping in some Universe, the game allows it so who really cares? Play how you want too play long as it stays within the rules.

Freddy's ability must be such that he can only make fake pallets on destroyed pallets and collapse as with the doc, and only make 3 slow down traps then he is still strong enough What do you think?

i mean is not really a nerf just an adaptation.

No. he is completely fine as is and doesn't need a nerf. The only thing that needs changing is his Z block addon. it's completely useless for a 6k bloodpoint addon and needs a rework. Freddy though is very balanced. Snares simply force you too drop pallets early, and Pallets can be countered by remembering which one has been dropped.
