  • She isn't dead, she has kills so she clearly is a great killer.

10/10 would do a pretty good job again.

  • I typically play all killers and survivors, but my fav killer atm is Legion, and my least favorite is Nurse.

Legion is weak, but I love their cosmetics, and their height allows for easy mindgames.

Nurse feels clunky, untested, and just bad since her rework. She never needed her base changed, and I simply get frustrated and toxic when I play her. Devs please fix her.

  • bud.. I got some bad news, but the reason you're getting gen rushed is because you're camping and letting the survivors do them. Other things you are doing wrong are wasting 5 mins for 1 hook, course they're gonna gen rushed, you're letting them. Simple tips:

1: Don't waste too much time in chases, you're only wasting time.

2: You may not be able too dictate what the survivor loops, but you can dictate which way they have too run. force survivors too loop an unsafe route.

3: Learn too mindgame if the loop allows it. once you've learned how too hide the red stain you'll be able too mindgame most survivors with ease.

4: If you find multiple survivors, don't try and 1v1, try and get multiple hits on survivors so they have too heal and waste time.

Honestly, all the things you describe come from the fact you're not playing killer right. I agree that Gen rushing and SWF are annoying, but body blocking is a legit strat, and if you think looping is "toxic" then you don't know what toxic is. Looping is literally the survivors only way too live besides being super immersed.

You'll have to forgive me since I don't have time to read through the whole thing right now, but:

I only thought I'd address this now that I finally have the PROOF that Demo is not a powerful killer. As per the stats released, at red ranks, Demo fairs very poorly, having the SECOND LOWEST kill rate in the game, just barely above The Clown.

We said it in the stats post and I'll say it again here, you should not draw conclusions from those stats. They are about as broad as they get. They don't show details and account for any amount of factors. To give an example, he's just barely below the Nurse and the Huntress, two fairly powerful killers. Are they bad too? I feel like most people would say no, they just have a learning curve and there's a lot of people who don't regularly play them will pull those numbers down.

The Demogorgon is in the same boat. His shred attack takes some practice to use well (timing, aiming) much like the Huntress. In the right hands, he can still do well.

When a Dev straight up tells you it's useless, the data is useless.

ironically, This was the post that made me feel like I needed too speak about how pointless the stats are.

I don't think I can tolerate it anymore, I'm probably one more trolly SWF sending me death threats in the post game lobby chat away from just leaving the game for good.

I don't know what is wrong with you guys, but a lot of you need some serious mental help; you need to see a doctor or talk to someone because there are some serious mental health issues with a lot of people that play this game.

(Please don't give me the hide chat stuff, I shouldn't have to, and it keeps unhiding itself for me anyways and I can't close it in time because the archive stuff or my dailies block me off from just closing it and moving on immediately I can't avoid seeing it a lot of the time. There is also no hiding in game behavior, and what people will do if they have access to your steam name or your stream info or discord or anything else)

Welcome too dbd, honestly it's one of the most toxic communities i've been in. If you want too avoid end game chat, just leave immediately once the game's over, and if they are harassing you on discord or through steam, contact support. Unfortunately the fact the game only has a ranked mode for everything is why it breeds sweat and toxicity.

so i play 50/50 survivor killer. and i have to say being a killer is soo hard now. too many nerfed kilers? also MOST survivors ranked 13 to 20 are useless now. so unless you get good macth making all the time you will be carrying someone.

what do survivors have to do with anything? that seems like a completely separate rant.

As for killers, yes I do wish all killers were viable and the devs actually listened too the community (Nurse) but killer is def getting better. Back in the day windows were never blocked, jungle gyms always had 2 pallets, all vaults were fast vaults, vacuum pallets and infinites were pretty much everywhere. Is it as balanced as it could/should be? hell no, but it is def better then it was.

What rank are you playing as killer? because that will change on who you're fighting. If you are struggling against killer that badly that you're gonna quit DBD, watch some tutorials and practice more. idk what else too tell ya.

  • @ElementDoom said:

Nope. The devs won't reply but if they did they'd tell you it's fine. Most survivors would also say it's fine. Some killers would say it's fine. The game isn't ever going to be balanced with swf in mind and as a result will never be balanced.

This, the main reason SWF will never be balanced is because the game never was built with it in mind, it was a mode that was added in later in development. Personally I would fix it by having 2 modes, ranked and quick match. Have 3-4 man SWF on quick match, but ranked can only have 2 max.

I believe they said "numbers aren't everything, there's a lot of factors etc." Not that the numbers were inaccurate.

Those factors will change the numbers, especially since they combined console and pc stats. I would of enjoyed seeing console and pc stats seperate, what are the most used addons for killers, what are the most used perks, etc.

And they didn't even do anything with survivor besides the map, I want too know what perks are most used, what's the most used items and addons, what's the most picked survivor, what are survivor average survival rates per survivor, things like that.

  • @Mikeadatrix said:

I do think a revamp to idle animations and running should be done someday. Every survivor behaving the same way mechanically is a little dull. Steve deserves his badass pose and Ace deserves his fingerguns.

Agreed, there should be some reason too get new survivors besides their perks.

  • @Creepingcam1070 said:

How does it feel to be not on the bottom of the stats?

The stats are inaccurate, so I wouldn't even bother with looking at them. if we had actual stats then we could say if Legion was good or bad, but we don't so theres no way too tell. personally he is still one of the worst killers, and the nerfs coming from the PTB will make him worse the Bubba.

  • @arslaN said:

Not really. It's a dead perk without the reduced stagger. There is really no reason to use bl over other exhaustion perks now.

There is plenty of reason. Maps like Haddonfield and Macmillons will still have great use for BL, and the noise reduction could easily fool killers who aren't prepared for it.

  • @Sleephartha said:

A 50% kill rate would be balanced. Meaning half your games are 4ks, half are 0k. Or, 2ks per game. Instead not a single killer is at 50%. All are above 60. And the highest, most complained about killers are in the 75% range. Is this not crystal clear now why survivors complain about OP killers? And now imagine if we had detail that showed 4 solos vs 4 man swfs. I’d reckon it looks even worse for solos. Probably 80-85% or worse. This game is heavily skewed toward killers.

75%!! This is a full 25% higher than it should be. And people wonder why survivors like to derank... it’s because the game is more balanced when higher level survivors play lower level killers. Thanks for releasing these stats Behaviour. I’m vindicated.

Sorry mate, but the official stats aren't accurate as peantis has said. I wouldn't even bother with it because apparently most of it is inaccurate.

Maybe if they're not a smart killer to expect it after a person BLs off in a chase. Don't see how you could be tricked by it after that. And BL was the best exhaustion perk at the time, despite it's situational status, because of the falling not staggering, sure. That was a powerful effect, but it was the ONLY reason it was ever good. BL requires too much set up to be useful, outside of areas with generators, of which there are less places with that than I can count on one hand. The only thing that made it able to compete with Lithe, Dead Hard, or even Sprint Burst was it's stagger reduction. Now that that's gone, it won't be worth taking compared to the others.

BL was never the best exhaustion perk, Dead Hard was and still is. Being able too avoid a hit or extend a chase is more valuable then BL because BL was too situational. It was already one of the worst Exhaustion perk in the game because of this change. it needed nerfs because it created unfair infinites for killers too try and deal with. The change is a good thing and BL still has a lot of good qualities. If you only used it for the Stagger then you missed the point of BL.

Some people have fun with new Nurse. Some people don't. That's okay. Personally, I believe the place she's in is healthier for the game because it gives survivors more counterplay to her fundamentally BROKEN ability. She can completely ignore survivor defenses. Her old basekit was more fair than 5 blink or omega blink, but it was still ridiculously strong. Super good Nurse players did NOT need anything more than her base to completely decimate an optimal survivor team. Even bad Nurse players sometimes got rewarded because they constantly got a second chance at landing their blink.

Not everyone is going to agree with the changes, but a lot of people like them. The devs are not going to change anything unless they see that the Nurse is underperforming in matches. I understand that there are a lot of people around here who aren't satisfied with the Nurse changes, but you cannot say that she is criminally unfun for every killer player. She's still one of the best killers in the game, and the changes aren't so drastic that she feels like a different one either. I hate saying this to people, but please, for the love of god, just adapt to how she is now.

No. Simply put I won't adapt because I find her entire gameplay more unfun and infuriating then fighting Live Spirit. Any time I try and play her it's just a chore and more too play her, she feels awful with the blink recharge, and too not even give her more MS base too compensate for how long you have too wait too blink was such an oversight.

Her old addons needed changes but Old Nurse base was incredibly balanced, and Optimal survivors did just fine against her and could still beat her, even with the fact pallets were useless. It was all about out mindgaming and juking her, instead of pallets. Even if she was strong before, there was still fair counterplay on both sides, now survivors just run foward and you have too follow like a slug and then try and get a lucky hit after the blinks recharge.

Her addons were completely broken with 5 blink and omega blink, the community pretty much agrees on that fact, but most of her addons are useless now. Most of them are farming perks, and the rest are either gimmicky, useless, or needed too try and recreate Old Nurse. her pink Addons are worthless, there's really no need for them besides gimmick builds. The addon that lets her have 4.6 ms after a lethal blink, but completely loose your power is a joke and not worth 5k. I may as well play Trapper but not place traps. The only 2 really good addons are blink recharge speed, and fatigue duration reducers.

Until she gets some sort of change too make her feel less clunky, I won't be playing her any more. I understand some people do enjoy the new Nurse, but I simply don't and I'm gonna keep voicing my opinion on why I feel she sucks and is unplayable. Telling people too "stop complaining and adapt" is like telling someone "get good" when it's simply not that simple. most people who tried PTB Nurse said she was clunky, unfun, and needed the base changes removed, the devs ignored all the feedback and pushed it live anyway, and as such here we are. The 2 things I want is too either A: Remove the recharge speed of her blinks and increase her Fatigue time for survivors too have more chances too escape, or B: give her increase movement speed so Nurse has a chance too catch up too survivors who escape the 2 blink, but won't punish the Nurse so heavily because of the recharge speed.

Again, to repeat the line from the post: "Please keep in mind that numbers are not everything; there are a whole bunch of factors that could influence these numbers."

You should not draw conclusions from those statistics alone. Her pick rate is on the lower end largely due to the fact that she's not played very frequently on console. The graphs shown (aside from the Nurse-PC specific one) are all platforms. We are working on increasing the range of sensitivity for controllers which should make her a little more inviting for console players.

As far as PC specifically goes, she is still picked fairly often (and performing well above the 50% expectation, climbing back up each day as people adjust).

But just because she has high pick rate and kill rate doesn't mean shes fun. She still feels clunky and a complete mess personally, and the changes too her addons made most of them useless. There's no need too have 4.6 ms when you use your ability, then not have your ability for 60 seconds. Why would I not simply be any other 4.6 killer and not use their ability? Because at least then I'm always at 4.6 ms. Giving her a ton of bloodpoint addons means they will have 0 impact ingame besides farming. Honestly, how many times has the scream from blinking through people actually netted you a kill?

Please listen too the community and make her have something when the blinks are recharging, or simply remove the recharge feature and increase the fatigue time like everyone wanted. There really was need too change her basekit so heavily, because the blink charges are not a "small change."

If you've been on a gen for even half of it you won't be exhausted anymore. As I said, it'll be rarer than getting off someone's shoulder with no body blocks or wiggle perks.

I'd also hardly call it powerful. Any killer worth their salt will expect this once the change goes live after the first time they use BL's exhaustion effect. Perk isn't worth it. Lithe, SB, and Dead Hard are all better without the stagger reduction on it by an extremely large margin. Perk is going in the dumpster.

I disagree, It's still an exhaustion perk so it isn't going anywhere, and I'm sure plenty of killers will be tricked by it, especially if they aren't prepared for it. And comparing it too other exhaustion perks doesn't mean much since it was already weak compared too perks like Dead Hard and SB because it was situational, so it really won't change much.

It will be a strong perk, and this change is great since it still keeps what made it good but makes it much more fair. I guarantee killers will be tricked by the 100% noise cancel, no matter what rank they are.

  • @Peanits said:

I feel like I really need to stress this line from that post:

Please keep in mind that numbers are not everything; there are a whole bunch of factors that could influence these numbers.

To use the Spirit as an example, as we've mentioned many times before, we do not balanced based on stats alone. We make sure to do our research first and there's a lot of compelling arguments for why she should have been changed.

And again, there's a bunch of different factors involved. Is Freddy overpowered, or is it just a combination of perks and add-ons that make him that strong? These are all things that need to be considered.

So just to reiterate one last time, I really would not recommend drawing any conclusions from these stats. These are averages, not specific and incredibly detailed data that you should draw any conclusions from.

Cool, but what about answering his questions? This doesn't answer a single one tbh, and we all want too know what's the deal with if Nurse is getting fixed.

  • @Nhekii said:

Someone who only plays and worships one side shouldn't be giving feedback or ask for changes. It's crazy how many people have no idea what they're talking about because they don't want to play the game in its integrity. To have a full understanding of balance, you need to play survivor and killer.

People who actively play both sides are superior.

Growing tired of people acting like toddlers and getting upset over a god damn video game made for our entertainment.

You can do better than this.

You say you're tired of people acting like toddlers, but trying too force a playstyle on people is childish IMO. Everyone's opinion's matter, even if it is biased. Long as you take into account that it is biased then what's the problem. I personally don't play survivor unless it's for the archives because I can't rely on randoms and I find killer 100% more fun, but that doesn't mean my opinion is invalid.

Stop gatekeeping and let people use freedom of speech, everyone's opinion is worth sharing, And you can't have a wrong opinion, it's why it's called an opinion.

How is noise cancelling a powerful buff? If I'm in a chase the noise cancel will be pointless. when I'm exhausted from BL it's because I used it running from a chase. If anything with these changes BL has an identity crisis. There are very few situations the noise cancelling will come into play. Probably even fewer than getting off the killer's shoulder without any kind of wiggle perks and no body blocking.

If you're in a chase, yea you're not gonna be able too use the noise cancel, but when doing a gen and the killer is near and you have exhaustion, you can sneak away easily on maps like Haddonfield. It's situational, but powerful.

  • @Undeadbear13 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/864791#Comment_864791

That's more due to bad map design though, if it creates a infinite you fix the map to fix the infinite. Do they need looked at? Sure but this sounds like a map issue, not a perk issue

I disagree, I find it a problem of the perk since it's the one of two exhaustion perks that don't follow the exhaustion rule. It was a problem and I'm very happy it's fixed.

  • @voiceofguns27 said:

I don't understand the need to nerf a situational per to begin with. Sure, there are maps looking to get reworked. But, you have Sheltered woods where it's completely useless unless you happen to get high enough on the tree in the center. Another useless map I can think of is Yamoka estate. Balance Landing already took a nerf with the exhaustion changes. Exhaustion nerf was needed especially with sprint burst being a no brain hold down shift for 40 seconds. I don't understand why the stagger needs to be nerfed when it works well only on certain maps. Not only that, I don't see it often as killer and it's not as frustrating once you know the survivor shows you their hand like dead hard. I think this is a terrible knee jerk reaction by the dev team to nerf this perk and just stay focused on map balance.

Because of the fact on those maps like haddonfield and Macmillan it created uncounterable infinites. Just because it's situational doesn't mean it's fair. The changes take away the op part of Balanced and gives it a powerful buff with 100% noise cancel when you land when exhausted.

  • wanting too spend more money on micro transactions in a 20-30$ game, with over 100$ of DLC, with a 10$ battle pass + cosmetics for something that should be base is a Walnut brain take.

Stop being sassy and contribute too the discussion.

  • You read the title and that's all, right? Even if you didn't, how is this contributing too the conversation in any meaningful way?

As for OP, I think it's a cool idea, except for the custom Mori animations for Auric cells. The game is already super greedy with the Battlepass, Cosmetics, and DLC, so having more things you need too pay for is just a bad thing.

  • @Nhekii said:

You need to understand that DS is not an anti-tunnel perk. It's a perk designed to grant a survivor 60 seconds of immunity after getting unhooked, not for punishing killers that are tunnelling.

You clearly missed the entire point of the DS if you think that's how DS is suppose too work. It's suppose to be an anti tunneling perk, not a "I played bad but it's ok because I have a get out of jail free card." I agree with OP 100%, I hate hooking 2 people, finding someone on a gen and then getting ds'd because I was "tunneling"

  • @CronaWins said:

"Balanced Landing: No longer grants the stagger reduction while Exhausted. Balanced Landing has the additional functionality to muffle grunts from falling by 100% while not Exhausted."

Why kill the entire functionality of the perk instead of just removing the sprint?

People run Balance Landing for the stagger reduction, not the sprint. The sprint is only an added bonus.

Why can't this perk just have a single function such as perks like Iron Will?

This would still be a nerf to the perk but would still actually be useful.

Because it was unfair on maps like Haddonfield, where survivors would create infinites with no counterplay because of the stagger. The change is a really good since now people won't spam Haddonfield offerings with full team of Balanced and completely ruin a killers game. And the function of the perk is the sprint burst you get, not the 75% stagger reduction. It also keeps it in line with all other exhaustion perks so it's more consistent. Overall it's a good change for the game.

You miss the point, the point is his power doesn't change anything, he's still an M1 killer at the end of the day even with his power. Most other killers have an ability that isn't just M1, like Freddy and Billy.

The combo won't stay in the game. Old Legion was removed for a reason, so them bringing it back unintentionally doesn't mean it'll stay. Plus it only works if Legion gets stunned, so dropping pallets early counters this hardcore. It's a gimmick more then an actual A+ killer.

  • @PigMainClaudette said:

Ever since Endgame Collapse has appeared, there has been a rampant rise in slugging in order to get a 4k. I personally believe this to be unhealthy as you are basically holding the game hostage and artificially extending its duration.

Killers are also complaining about the abuse of keys, yet they themselves are (probably) actually forcing Survivors to bring them to dodge this "strategy".

Force out the Survivor by hunting the hatch and closing it. They'll fairly reliably go for the two objective points. It also makes the game better for everyone.

And yes I play killer. Pig, Myers, Spirit and Doctor. 3/4 that I play are not mobility killers.

Slugging isn't holding the game hostage since the last survivor can just walk up too the downed one and heal them. It isn't the killers fault for the living survivor too hide till their friend is dead.

And if slugging is unhealthy, then so are Keys since they have no real counterplay besides Franklins and they are also unfun. And survivors are going too bring keys no matter what since they are super strong. It's rare too find a game without at least one key.

  • I'd say Oni is better then Myers, since his ability is a mix of Myers and Billy, but I'm gonna hold judgement on how good he is till the devs nerf him on launch.

Yes, never. Time spent cleansing a Ruin totem is time spent not working on the generators. Not to mention that it immediately tells the Killer where they can find a survivor.

Mate it takes 8 seconds too do a totem, that is literally nothing. And just because you know where Ruin was broken doesn't mean you are going too find that survivor. It isn't the best perk in the game by a long shot, it is strong but not the best. It has too many downsides for an upside that is pretty much luck based.

Plus, just because top streamers and players always run it doesn't mean they want too run it. Tru3 constantly complains about how bs the RNG of Ruin is when it comes too spawning, and no one enjoys bringing a totem perk for it too be broken in 10 seconds and you pretty much wasted a perk slot.

@Endstille I really can't take you seriously if you're going to call Ruin a bad perk.

Ruin isn't bad, but it's simply too situational. it'll either last the whole match and bring the game too a halt, or it'll be useless because Survivors spawn on it, they know how too hit skillchecks, they find it first try, etc.

A better early game perk personally is Corrupt Intervention, it does what Ruin does, but it can't be broken in 10 seconds and survivors have too waste time looking for a non blocked gen, and it can give killers good early starts.
