Back then kills also determined your pip
4 kills-Double pip
3 kills-One pip
2 kills-No pip
1 or 0 kills-Depip
I think a 4K was also present with the Emblem System. At least I am pretty sure that my Adepts (the early ones I did) were not Merciless Victories, but I cannot say for 100%.

That's literally impossible.
Entity Diseased - Depip
Brutal Killer - Safety Pip
Ruthless Killer - Single Pip
Merciless Killer - Double Pip
Adepts required 4 Kills at some point. So a Blackpip and Adept is possible.
-
Ruthless Victories have the same problems as Merciless Victories - it gets artificially harder only because someone is playing in Red Ranks. Sure, a Pip-Game is easier than a Double-Pip, but still...
I say it since months, 4 Sacrifices. No Moris, no DCs, no Pips needed. Just 4 Sacrifices. This is fair, compared to the Survivor Adepts.

Yep, can confirm. That Meg was hooked in the Basement.

Prestige 1. 1% BP Bonus. 2, 2% 3, 3%?
It'd be nice to get 5, 10, 15% bonus.
Yes, something like 5/10/15. This is at least a little bit, but not that much that someone who never bothered about prestiging will need to prestige.
Or, as @Sonzaishinai mentioned, BP-Discounts in the Bloodwebs instead of BP-Increase. This wouild have the effect that only prestiged Characters will benefit from it.

No Snap Out happens first.
You have barely enough time to Snap Out before you can mend HOWEVER if Doc has that one add-on that makes Snap Out take longer, or interrupts you, or you fail a skill check you can't Snap Out before the timer goes down.
When you are in Madness 3 you can't do anything anyway, so pausing the timer wouldn't be detrimental to the effect. You still have to do 2 actions that take about 20-25 seconds total. They could change it to have mend take priority, but then you end up with situations where you scream while mending and give away your position. It just makes a lot more sense to pause the DW timer when in Madness 3.
Just want to add, this only applies to BT 3. Tier 1 has definitely too less time to mend to actually snap out before mending and I think Tier 2 is not enough as well. Only Tier 3 has a long enough Mend Timer to be able to snap out before.
So if someone gets unhooked by a Survivor who only has BT at Tier 1, they will go down before being able to mend.
@Topic:
Agreed. Healing Survivors from Dying to injured should work in Madness 3 as well.

Yeah, I'm just doing some hopeful thinking. I'm pretty sure it'll be lackluster. =/
I am hoping for a small BP-Bonus. Not much, but just a little bit to reward the Prestige. But in fact, I mostly expect Charms.
Just to show that a character is prestiged without the need of using the Bloody Cosmetics.
But overall, I am fine with everything, I prestige my Characters anyway, so it is not like I would do anything different just because of the Rewards.
-
In the Post Game Screen - sure.
But it will be a shocker for many Killers to see that they lost against 4 Solos and cannot blame SWF for their lack of Skill.
-
Highly doubt that. They will most likely not introduce something like Legacy (in regards of being a one-time thing) thus making it unobtainable for every other player afterwards. Most likely players would prestige afterwards as well, even tho it was a one-time thing, just in the hopes that there will be anything new in the future.
@Topic:
I would not get any hopes at all. It will be a pretty minor thing, since nobody should feel the need to prestige. Especially because prestiging (from P0 to P3) is not that expensive, compared to getting all Perks on a Character.

killer chases dude for 30 seconds to finally down then but gets flashed in 2 seconds and loses the guy and sunned for 5 seconds. I would say at least the flashlight should break if you save someone.
Flashlights are super-weak and are countered by just looking at a wall. Even if there is no wall, the Killer can hear a Survivor approaching or simply can turn around which makes it harder to save someone. Let alone that most Survivors dont know the timinig anyway and use their Flashlight for ineffective Pallet Blinds instead.
And well, Flashlight Safes are probably the most skillful thing a Survivor can do.

I mean, saying that DH was designed to counter old Nurse is quite a bold statement. Let alone that the Interaction between Nurse and DH did not change at all with the Rework, Nurse is still able to blink on top of Survivors.

What kind of WGLF gamer are you?
I dont run the Perk :P Only during double BP Events, because my SWF-Mate and I are using BPSs the whole time, and if a Killer wants to farm, it is even more BPs. But other than that, IF I run the Perk (most likely when I dont have my Perk Set ready or nothing better), I try to not take Hits which are not needed. Like, it would be two easy stacks to unhook in front of that Bubba with BT, but I would not do that.
But I also dont run BBQ on every Killer, mostly only when the Aura Read is actually useful.

Yeah Ghostface without add on vs with recovery add on, there is a noticable different for his power recovery. With his best recovery add ons, you will be able to get almost double more use out of his power vs if you were playing with simply the base kit.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1296362#Comment_1296362
Yeah i had few games recently. Where something like this happen. They were a few metres away from the hook and their team mates were bodyblocking and just giving me free hits. I had sloppy. So not a good idea, for an action that would prove pointless. I wasn't even playing ghostface, so there shouldn't be any worry about 99% stalk. That and i don't think any of them were running we're gonna live forever. Than another game where people try healing right in front of me, rather than running away, leading to everyone taking a few hits. They could of avoided. So yeah i would have to agree with you. Sometimes taking a hit for your team mate is pointless and not always the wise thing to do.
Exactly. I once had a David throwing the game because he wanted a stack while being injured. Killer got so much pressure because he had two Hooks instead of one, he managed to turn the game around.
While I get that players want to reduce the grind and WGLF is the only option for Survivors to do so, I just hate it how some players play just to get their stacks. Thankfully they changed it to safe Unhooks a few months ago, before it was even more horrible.

Don't know what you are getting at. What does ranking faster have to do with getting 4k's? That sounds like a clueless survivor argument, but it doesn't even fit the conversation. Survivors ranking too fast is not a good thing for survivors. It's not a killer hating on survivors thing. I play both roles, I know that it is much easier to rank up as a survivor. That is NOT a shot at survivors. I'm looking at it objectively. As i said, it is almost impossible to depip as a survivor, unless you are a complete potato. Some games i feel that I play like a potato, yet i still pip.
Not going to say that you are making up that you you ranked faster as a killer, but all that would mean is that you play significantly better as killer than survivor, and/or you are playing against these survivors that ranked too quickly and they are easy to kill. You, like many survivors, likely don't deserve the rank you have, so it has become more difficult for you in the higher ranks. Again, that is not a shot. I feel i don't deserve my rank as a survivor. I rank even when i play poorly. As killer, I feel i deserve my rank, though, because of the MM system, some games are far to easy, while others are considerably more difficult.
The problem with survivors ranking too fast is that when they face tougher killers, survivor mains feel that killers are OP. It also makes it easier for killers in games where they play against these survivors that are in a rank they don't deserve.
What I mean is that I more often Double-Pip as Killer. I can only speculate, but I guess it is because as Killer I am only dependant on myself, while as Survivor, the Killer has to be decent AND I have to share Unhooks/Chases/Gens with other Survivors. Killers have more control about their own game. Sure, now someone can come up with "BUT IF I CHASE SOMEONE 3 GENS GET DONE". Well, then dont chase someone for 3 Gens.
I feel that this is the main reason for many complaints in this Forum - Players are not good enough, but think they are good (because they reach Red Ranks) and think that being in Red Ranks gives the right to complain about everything.
Like I said, I depipped to Rank 5 because of a really bad evening. Like getting one-hooked, Iri Head/Ebony-Huntress, stuff like that. But overall I would say that my Survivor would have an easy game against my Killer, so from my experience, ranking up is too easy for both sides. I think I can estimate how good I am at Killer, so I know that I should not be at Rank 1, lol. And I know from my Survivor games that other Killers also should not be at Rank 1 (prime example: I had a Freddy who was not able to catch me at 2 linked T/L-Walls. After running around the wrong side all the time he changed his tactic to window-vaulting, success was limited. And this guy was Rank 1...).
In general, DBD is not a difficult game at all. So I dont like that "Survivor Ranking is too easy", while the Killer Ranking is not really harder. MAYBE the MMR will change anything, but I doubt it.
In the end, it might be entirely possible that Killers get easier games because Survivors have it easy to rank up. But even then, this is basically a self-reinforcing spiral - bad Survivors help bad Killer to rank up, which allows even worse Survivors to rank up, which allows even worse Killers to rank up and so on.

It might be too easy, due to matchmaking, but it is significantly easier/faster to rank up as survivor. It is nearly impossible to depip as a survivor. You would have to get found and hooked immediately by the killer, then downed at the hook after an unsafe rescue and then get moried, in order to depip. Probably not the only way, but you get the idea. Killers can work hard and still depip.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1296658#Comment_1296658
Yeah, it is. Unlike you, I play both sides. I can have the worst game ever and still not depip, as a survivor, and ranking up is ridiculously fast. Killers can work hard and still depip, or just black pip. This is not an anti-survivor thing. Leveling too fast is bad for survivors. It puts them into ranks they aren't ready for, which makes them think that killers are over powered. You sound like one of those survivors that don't deserve their rank, so you see killers as being OP. It's not a bad thing, I know that I don't deserve my survivor rank, but I pip every game unless I have an ulucky game where i am downed and hooked early and then get mori'd, but that is rare. However, since I play both sides, i don't jump to the conclusion that killers are OP because they outplay me.
I rank faster up as Killer. I was basically Rank 1 Killer while still being Rank 5 as Survivor (because I got a horrible evening and depipped from 3 to 5). In general, I have more Pips/Game on average as Killer than Survivor, because I have more Blackpips and Double-Pips when playing Killer.
And I would consider myself mediocre, at best. And I guess most people on the forum are exactly like that - mediocre at best. But because they play the Powerrole they think they deserve a 4K every game.
-
@illusion said:
Yes, there are well coordinated SWF groups that abuse killers, and makes the game unfun. The game is too easy for them, so they get their amusement by harassing the killer. There are also a lot of red ranked potato survivors, because they rank up much more easily than killers do. Hopefully, this will change when they revamp the MM system. Supposedly that will match people more based on their actual skill.
"There are also a lot of red ranked potato survivors, because they rank up much more easily than killers do."
Ranking up as Killer is too easy as well. Otherwise we would not have this sheer amount of Red Rank Killers complaining because the game is too hard for them.

Then you have not seen that many Survivors.
In general, in EU, the stronger players are online during the evening. And the really strong players during the night.

I never said it was easier than BBQ, just far easier than before. Also, you should be getting protection hits regardless, as this is a TEAM game
I take Protection Hits when it helps my TEAM. And not when the Killer picks up the Survivor 1 meter away from a Hook just to get a Stack.

Devs addressed this like years ago, no amount of foot stomping is going to change it. Killers need to see what they are going up against, survivors can prepare for battle as they feel fit, but killer needs to see what they are holding etc,... 4 flashlights may need to bring "Lightborn" etc, anyone who fails to see why, its becaue they are a survivor main and dont play both sides.
Those of us who play both sides can easily see why.
Why exactly does the Killer need to see the name and profiles?
Items I 100% agree, not to name or profiles.
-
Gameplay-wise there is no reason to show names or profiles, it can easily be removed.

Am I having a stroke or do those words not make sense at all?

Tru3, because he has to deal with the very best survivors on a consistent basis. Umbra and monto stomp, but any decent killer would stomp the survivors they get.
The few times I've seen monto get the really strong teams, he's depipped.
Only because tru3 says that does not mean it is true. He is suspecting SWFs everywhere, when I know that they are Solos or 2 mans at best. I play with and against the same Survivors and it would be very strange when I get them as Solos every time while he gets them as SWF every game. This dude simply cannot accept that other players might be better than him.
(And personally, I hope he will stop bitching about SWF or stretched resolution so that his fanboys will reduce the number of Forum Posts about that a little bit, lol)

I've never even cared to think about this, and now I hate them.
Literally just to keep the grind going, and as you said filler spots.
Don't remove them, buff them.
Lowest starting at 100%.
This would be just for the SINGLE category bonus offerings, to make them more worth it.
^ this.
Brown 100% Bonus BPs, yellow 150%, green 200%. A Maximum of 16k Bonus BPs would not be too strong, but it would take way less BPs to get the value out of it.
Currently:
brown-->At least 6k BPs to get the value back, with maximum its a Bonus of 1000 BPs.
yellow-->At least ~5300 BPs to get the value back, with maximum it is a Bonus of 2000 BPs.
green-->At least 5000 BPs to get the value back, with maximum it is a Bonus of 3000 BPs.
So only with those values the BPs gained are as much as the BPs spend, and the profit when the category is maxed is really bad.
If we double the values:
brown-->At least 3k BPs to get the value back, with maximum the Bonus will be 5000 BPs.
Yellow-->At least ~2600 BPs to get the value back, maximum the Bonus would be 8000 BPs.
Green-->At least 2500 BPs to get the value back, maximum the Bonus would be 11000 BPs.
So it would not be too crazy, but actually worth to get and to use. Currently the BP Offerings are only taken because you have to take them to finish the Bloodweb (except for Cakes, Puddings, Envelopes and BPS of course...)

@CosmicParagon said:
Keep in mind that the vast majority of survivor addons are considerably better than killer addons. Also, WGLF is far easier to get tokens in, protection hits were buffed to be like 10 meters away
Most Add Ons for Survivors are useless.
Also, how can it be easier to get Tokens in WGLF than BBQ? You only have to play the game to get 4 BBQ Stacks. Sure, not 100% of the time, there might be that game where you only get 3, but this is really rare. And even if then, you would not need to rush for Unhooks or take stupid Protection Hits just for a Stack.

@Blueberry said:
- It's too easy to rank up as survivor.
- The devs recent change to rank reset
Both these combined have botched the ranking system and caused a pile up of survivors at high ranks that shouldn't be. It's now very hard to go down but very fast and easy to move up.
These are also 2 things that are botching the matchmaking as well. This pile up has caused a disproportionate amount of survivors at high ranks compared to killers. This is what's causing the long queue times and the matchmaking that puts low rank killers against high rank survivors.
Easy fixes:
- Make it harder to rank up
- Easier to depip
- Revert the rank reset system back to what it was before. The old system was fine.
Side relation, but we still need individual killer ranks as well. If this was implemented then we would only need the old rank reset system for survivors instead of both.
I agree, but it is too easy to rank up for both sides. The rest is 100% true, especially the Change to Rank Reset.

Because bans that involve large scale tools are usually done in waves as to obfuscate how they're being detected, people would run certain hacks up until they get banned and then work from there on what they were using and what may have been detected, if you ban a heck tonne of people all on the same day you never really can pinpoint what caused the ban.
Ah, gotcha. Makes sense!

You still can be grabbed while vaulting. For pallets the killer must be on the to which you are vaulting. For the windows, it has to be medium or slow vault, not sure about the fast vault, if it works like pallets or grant immnity to grabs.
Thats a) not even close to what I have written and b) fast vaults can also result in Grabs.

Nothing has really changed, this is just the way things work. Cheats come out, cheats get detected/fixed, then people find new ways to cheat and the cycle repeats. We've always got a team working on it and we'll make sure to get them fixed and the cheaters banned as soon as we can.
Question is - why does it take so long sometimes?
Yesterday, I had 4 Cheaters in total. One of them was reported by me earlier:
@Aven_Fallen said:
Hello,
today I found my first Hacker. It was the Feng from my Screenshot:
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/706/R9WPYKCSK5UN.jpg
Names censored, the last two lines where from someone who left the Lobby earlier. Basically what happend was that Feng said that she can froze the game and well... the Lobby was frozen. Chat worked fine and hitting "Ready" worked fine as well. So my SWF-Mate and myself stayed in that Lobby because we thought that there is a Bug with the Crossplay-Option (maybe if the Windows Store-User is doing something like Bloodwebs or Customization the Lobby freezes, I dont know).
I dont have any recording, but this is what basically happened:
Feng got only injured while Haunted Ground was active.
Able to use For the people and instantly getting unbroken and healthy
Possibly Wallhacks because she found both Hex Totems (Haunted and Retribution)
Did not get any Madness from Docs Shocks
Speedhack
Unlimited Flashlight
Self-Hooking and Self-Unhooking
Game Freezing
Flying
...
Yeah. In the end my SWF-Mate and I gave the Killer the Hooks and the Kills, so he at least got something out of the Match.
So I guess Windows Store Users should be dodged from now on? I only had them once in my Lobby when I was playing Killer and the game was lagging like Hell at some point (apparently Servers were laggy, because the other players said it was laggy for them as well...This was a 3 man SWF from the Windows Store). But now I am not sure if it was really the Server...
Anyone else experienced something like that? I know that Monto has faced some Cheaters so far, but this was quite a new experience for me.
But I will certainly dodge Windows Store Users from now on.
EDIT: We both reported her of course.
This was 11 days ago. How can I still have this guy in a Lobby? What needs to be done to report those people so they can get banned as fast as possible? Because apparently an ingame-Report is not enough.
-
There is no official Date for the PTB. IF it happens to start at the 26th, I hope they launch it after the Livestream because it would be way better to get the next Chapter revelaed in the Livestream.
-
You can get grabbed basically all the time while being healthy except when vaulting Windows or Pallets. So that this only works while injured is the exception.
And this exception most likely exists so that you dont get "insta-downed" in a Chase all the time when the Killer just would have to wait until you vault a Window or Pallet to get the easy down.
-
Hag in C, Plague and Doc in D, Pig in F.
I dont know what to say.
-
Honestly, this should be baseline in the UI as a Chase Indicator...
-
I dont know if I am unlucky today, but I just had Number 4. A Claudette with 4 times Urban Evasion.
Before that I had one Hacker in around 3800 hours of Playtime.
-
Sure the names should be hidden before the Trial. Gameplay-wise there is no reason to show them.
-
Well, Huntresses who use Iridescent Head dont do it in a way where Skill is required. Go to 1 Meter distance to the Survivor and throw. Even I got a 4K in one of my first Huntress games with Iridescent Head. With other Instadowns you need to practice more, IMO.
Also, I guess Iri Heads would be a little bit more bearable if the Hatchets would not have the size of a Semitruck. But thats just me, being behind a Rock, hit by a Hatchet, because it was somewhat to the left. I once even got hit by a Hatchet which hit the wall inside next to a Window I just vaulted and moved from...
Last game with Iri Heads had two DCs and two first Hook suicides. So yeah, guess the Killer had a lot of fun.
-
Off-Topic, since you complain about having bad Perks:
You also opened a Spirit-Thread with bad Perks. Spirit was Level 40, Legion is Level 16. Why dont you level up one or two Killers and play them before playing every Killer with every one of them somewhat levelled?
This would certainly a better experience to go into a game with a Level 50 Killer with some decent Perks instead of a Level 16-Legion with whatever you found in your Bloodweb.

Nah, I am not saying it would be too strong (if the Mist was really thick, like already said). But for me it would be annoying to have constant Terror Radius the whole time.

Killer Queues are long. Guess there are not many Survivors playing.

Narrative: No Killers are playing the game.
More realistic: SWF-Changes and Rank Reset Change.
