Did BHVR stop doing mori animations in first person after clown?

  • Erm. Yes?

And it is better to have them third person. This also gives more room for animations, something like Legion or Demo would not be possible in first person, it would just result in really strange camera angles.

BHVR has enough on their plate, reworking maps, fixing up old perks, reworking bad killers...

Making new mori's is nowhere near the top of their priorities, and if it is, I dearly hope BHVR think through their priorities better.

    Agreed

  • I hate 3rd person mori animations. For some animations its essential to have them in 1st person, like Nurse. From the survivors' pov it looks like a low-budget horror movie, but from the killers' pov, you can really feel it. Staring into the survivor's face as you kill them with your bare hands.

They wouldn't have to make anything. Every more already has a third person animation from the survivors perspective.

Besides they can do many things at once just look at the cosmetics that get released weekly.

Just monetize the animators work have new shop moris

True but simply because the topic at hand isn't a "top priority" does not mean we cannot talk about it.

  • I think it depends on the mori itself. Depending on the action, it can be more emotional in first pwerson. See nurse's or myers' mori.

You do realize there have been less and less cosmetics made recently because they have been focusing on the game, right?

    Lmao, what?

there is still a weekly collection of cosmetics and they added the rift which has even more. They introduced charms as well.

They make more cosmetics than ever before right now before the rift and charms it was ONLY the weekly stuff.

  • The third person is definitely better, they should rework old mori animations to at least be in third person both sides.

Do we need to have the talk again

    Booper does have a point.

We did use to get full chapter collections along with the weekly cosmetics. Normally consisting of 4 survivors and 1 killer

Curtain Call - Fog Travelers Collection

Shattered Bloodlines - Grim Matsuri Collection

Darkness Among Us - The Wicked Wares Collection

Demise of The Faithful - The Gold & Silk Collection

These collections eventually stopped when they started to shift a lot more focus into balancing mid chapter patches

I feel like the rift, charms, challenges and lore more than make up for that difference. The entire rift/archives system was a huge expansion on the cosmetic non-game side of DbD.
