The thing is, the grind back then was insane. If I am correct, a Level 10 Bloodweb looked like a Level 50 Bloodweb today. Not to mention that many stuff which provides Bonus BPs was not present. No BBQ, no WGLF, no Cakes/Puddings, Envelopes, BPS... Other BP-Offerings gave less Bonus BPs.
Furthermore, those players were there when the game started. This is different from someone who started later and just plays a lot.
So something like Legacy will not return.
But Devotion Rewards would be nice to have, I agree on that one. But sadly they are not planned currently.

Mate, despite the fair game lineup you had in regards to ranks. Your first mistake is playing a killer you have barely anything on at this rank. Your second, even with what you have, Oni doesn't work with those perks. NOED, Haunted, Rancor, their not stupid at this rank. They know how to deal with it. If they know you have Thrill. They automatically assume you have NOED.
Your third mistake is your obvious lack of experience with Oni. He is by far the strongest killer in the game the fact he can snowball games. The fact 3 got out means they are either very good as survivors or your really bad as Oni. Keep in mind Gen rush isnt real, it's a term made up by killers to explain why the objective goes too fast. To say you feel you need to use a mori just to get kills is sad. I played as Doc yesterday at rank 15 and I faced two 1s, a 6 and a 10 on Ironworks of Misery. All 4 died. Was hard, got 4 out 5 gens done but I got them without mori.
My recommendation, play a killer you're better at since you are high rank. The time to learn killers is private game or between 20-12. Build up Oni if you're looking to main him. Get M&A, Infectious Fright, BBQ and Pop. Then if you're good, easy 4k so much so it shouldnt be.
Thats a Spirit tho
-
Dont know if this is my least-favorite, but I would go for the Introduction of Undetectable.
Mainly introduced because of Object it did nerf a few Survivor Perks which were fine before (like Alert or Dark Sense), removes the possibility to be informed about Rancor (which, according to the Forum, made this Perk fair) and trumps Kindred.
Meanwhile, Object is still good vs Stealth Killers because it is a better Premonition (while being a bit riskier). So instead of changing Object, they introduced a Mechanic which is quite bad IMO.
-
Would not play a single game.
-
How are those Perks good? Those are pretty bad Perks for Spirit IMO. Spirit mainly needs Information Perks and maybe Slowdown Perks. You have somewhat of Information with Thrill and Rancor, but that is nowhere decent. NOED and Haunted dont do anything for Spirit.
And well, you are not even Devotion 1, so you are pretty new to the game. Quite logical that you will have struggles at the beginning, but I dont understand why people complain about balance when they are new to the game. Because you cannot know any better.

I got it with demo, territorial is weirdly not awful on him if you're doing basement stuff.
"weirdly not awful" is basically the most positive thing someone can say about that garbage Perk, lol.

@KingFrost said:
Insidious isn't particularly great if the survivors have kindred. I'd say play trapper with Iron Grasp, Agitation, Territorial Imperative and Corrupt Intervention. First two to get someone in the basement. Then let traps do the rest of the work.
Did it exactly like this - Trapper with that Build. Worked in my first game, even tho it was not an enjoyable experience for anyone (including me).

They played bad and lost, what's the issue? There are varying degrees of playing badly, it isn't static.
Well, you stated that you dont need to be good to win.
They were bad and lost.
So, everything is fine?
-
I think I never had a 5 minute game as Killer, except when I was protecting the Basement Chest as Bubba and nobody came to visit me.
-
@Blueberry said:
I agree. You don't have to be good at the game as survivor to win if your team is simply efficient at rushing gens. Not saying they shouldn't be focused on gens, but that the speed at which the gens can be completed is way too fast. This results in many games at red ranks where you lost even though you didn't get out played at all, they just did gens fast.
And still the Survivors lost in OPs Post and in the video.
-
Always going for Range with Hag.
-
And still not all Gens were completed. Its like the first Gens dont even matter that much.
-
Can I get BPs when the Killer is using a Mori? And he should not get BPs for using them.
Also, Moris "counter" Keys, but Keys dont "counter" Moris. With a Mori you kill people faster, meaning it is less likely that many Survivors will have a potential escape with a Key.
Both should be changed, but not in such a way.
-
Does not really make a difference since the game is bright as hell (with a few exceptions).

indeed, maybe its an actual issue though? i mean i can understand why, im just curious as to why people do this constantly. im sure you do swf by that comment care to share?
I play either 2 man SWF, Solo or Killer. And why I prefer SWF over Solo? Because Solo Survivor play sucks. Easy as that.

Oh look, another SWF-Thread. How unique.

No. Just no. Exhaustion perks are not OP or unbalanced.
- Sprint Burst only lasts 3 seconds. Its a personal favourite because it avoids the first hit, but after that there is no use for it. All you'd need to do is remember who has it and don't try to hit them before their sprint.
- Lithe only lasts 3 seconds and you need a window to activate it. The vault speed is not effected so you can still hit them while they're doing so.
- Dead hard can get survivors out of a lot of situations, but on PC it is now used for distance more than anything... Again.. If you know they have it then wait for them to use it before hitting.
- Balanced Landing was nerfed, so it's only good once and you need to find a place to fall from which can be a downfall (no pun intended)
- Head on is mainly just for memes.
- Adrenaline is strong, but killers can bring NOED too so it's even.
If the devs were to remove all exhaustion perks the game will die fast. They are so valuable to the community it's too risky, and they don't need nerfs, because you can counter them pretty easily and they aren't a deal breaker 90% of the time.
Did you quote the wrong person?

Maybe I haven't played against enough Freddy's but I've never seen a Freddy do that. Snaring a loop/pallet when it's down.
Never? I have seen tons of Freddys doing that. Instead of breaking a Pallet, they run around and spam Snares. Very entertaining and engaging gameplay.

He doesn't get bloodlust when using snares anymore..someone skipped that homework assignment lol
I said reverse-bloodlusting. Slowing the Survivor down while not breaking the Pallet.
-
I have a better idea - the number of Generators is "X". Quite simply, the number of Generators increases each time the Survivors are close before winning. They stop increasing when the last Survivor is sacrificed.
With this we have the balance that every brown Rank Forum Killer can get their 4K :]
-
BBQ and Chili is a solid Perk mostly because of the BPs. But you should not be afraid to not use it, when it does not suit the Killer. e.g. a Hag has less benefit from BBQ than Freddy for example. But if you want those double BPs in every game, use it, but from my experience, it is fine to play it on Killers where the Aura Read has a good impact.
Regarding Monitor&Abuse - this was already explained, it is basically to "sneak up" on Survivors. 24 Meter Terror Radius (or even 16, on some Killers) with Monitor helps a lot to get closer. And for some Killers it is really beneficial to their Kit, e.g. Pig can use Monitor&Abuse and Whispers, meaning when Whispers activates, you can crouch and the Survivors will not know that you are there.
Monitor&Abuse is also pretty useful on Myers in that regard. His Terror Radius in Tier 2 is 16 Meters, so with Monitor it is insanely small.
Also, another use for Monitor is the combination with Infectious Fright (the Plague-Perk which lets people scream). Because inside a Chase the Terror Radius is bigger, so you get more information where people are. Also useful for Myers, because you know if Survivors are around and if they are worth chasing (aka they are not at a strong position), you can go for them instead of picking the guy up you just downed, to create more Map Pressure. Myers is good for that because he has an Insta-Down.

I certainly hope not. A lot of the difficulties people have with him stem from a complete refusal to take advantage of wake up mechanics.
Oh right, let me wake up against that reverse-bloodlusting Freddy with his Snares, while I am being chased. Nothing easier than that!
-
If you DC you have to wait (at least) 5 Minutes for another game.
If you bleed out while being slugged you have to wait 4 minutes.
Sounds pretty clear for me that bleeding out is the best option.
-
I doubt that this works out. You escaped nearly 19k games? And only saved 186 Survivors?
Also, 19k games at least played, but in total (Killer and Survivor) a little bit above 600 games with full Loadout?
-
50 - I guess I will finish the Rift.
-
Why is Doctor twice on the list?
I never see a Hag. I even saw 4 Clowns in the last 3 days, lol. But yeah, almost never see a Hag, but I am not disappointed about it.
-
Someone here got banned for exactly that reason. The Survivor who got called out recorded it, reported it and the Killer got banned. Was basically the same Case, 1 Survivor hiding all game and because of that the Killer wanted them dead, and well...
So not recommended.
-
Well, first there was a strong Loop. Now they added a Deathtrap.
Yeah, breakable Walls are great.
-
Hatch is needed to force the game to an end.

Yes because everyone is so selfish and entitled to want to have the ability to play with their friends without getting hindered.
+ wants to have access to the content in the game they paid for.

I think when you get 3 Downs in one minute, you are fine and can afford that DS.

That's the reason undetectable didn't fix object. In my opinion object is overpowered as it is and at least shouldn't get free premonition.
Basically this. Personally I would revert the roles - Killer looking at Survivor-->Killer sees Survivor (OoO lights up). Both looking at each other-->Both see each other. Survivor looking at Killer-->Survivor does not see anything.
Currently it is the other way around, which gives OoO the Benefit that the Survivor will always see the Killer but not vice-versa.
In the end, the Survivor is the "Object", so they should have the higher risk. Would this destroy the Perk? Potentially, but it should not exist in the first place, IMO.
@andyollolloll said:
OoO is a perk that isn't OP unless used by SWFs on comms, so...
BHVR don't balance their game with SWFs on comms...
Or
BHVR always intended the game to be SWF after release so OoO is just another balanced perk.
Those tend to be the thoughts of killers and survivors.
Your Obsession with SWF is laughable. OoO is a problem in Solo as well. Granted, it does more in SWF, but it is also strong as Solo.
-
Learn to play and dont blame SWF for your mistakes. Always the same Kind of Threads.
What would you do if this is implemented (it will never, the idea is horrible, see above) and you still lose vs 4 Solos? Third Mode for Solos? So Killer vs Bots, Solos vs Killers and SWF vs Killers?

Yea, I personally dont see/bring map offerings. Granted, most surv map offerings are haddonfield or ormond but in the last hundred games, I've probably seen the map from offerings less than 20 times.
I almost never see Map Offerings from Survivors. I see them more often from Killers, most likely matching with the respecitve Killer. Like Autohaven-->Nurse or Huntress, Coldwind-->Billy, etc.
And as Killer, I think I got send to Ormond or Haddonfield maybe 4 times in the past 4 weeks (via Map Offering).
-
"I swear the survivors bring offerings for it 80% of the time."
Could it be possible that you exaggerate just a little bit? I mean, only a tiny, tiny bit?
-
@KingJames said:
i never played doctor cuz i dont have him but 1 minute of cooldown? really? the doctors i played with constantly uses static blast every time like it has no cooldown. just an hour ago the doctor i played with used his blast more than 10 times chasing me within 2minutes.
You are talking about Shock Therapy. This has no Cooldown (or a pretty small one) and is mostly used in Chases.
Static Blast is his ability to create a big Shock with the size of his Terror Radius, making everyone scream.
-
Exhaustion Add Ons are already some of the strongest Add Ons. And should not exist anymore in the first place since they were created in a time where Exhaustion did recover while Running.
They will most likely be removed once the respective Killers get their Add On Overhaul.
-
"so that he cant use it mindlessly"...Static Blast has a Cooldown of 1 Minute. If the Killer is using it mindlessly (e.g. in the Corner of the Map where the actual Radius is quite limited), they might not find any Survivor and it is wasted.
Static Blast needs a little bit of Tweak tho, because the Wind-Up combined with Doctors Terror Radius makes it hard to evade. And the long Wind Up is a reason to give a chance to evade it (by running out of the TR or getting into a locker), but this gets negated by the things I mentioned above.
-
I mean, neither Doctor nor Freddy are weaker than before. Both are a lot stronger. Legion is also not that terrible, but he is really difficult to balance.
And well, what you are describing are Bugs. Nurses Bugs are most likely due to Dedicated Servers (they started when they went live) and Legions Vault-Bug just came with the recent Midchapter Patch and will most likely be fixed (it is at least acknowledged in the Bug Report).
-
5 of them is in Macmillan Estate Realm<---Ironworks, Coal Tower
5 Autohaven Wreckers<---Cranes, Blood Lodge
5 Coldwind Farm<---Thompsons House
2 Crotus Prenn Asylum<---Asylum Main Building, Chapel
1 Haddonfield
2 Backwater Swamp<---Pantry, Ship
1 Lery's<--upper area of the Treatment Room
2 Red Forest<---Main Building on Mothers Dwelling, Two Story House on Mothers Dwelling, Temple Inside
5 Springwood<---School, upper window of the two Story Building
1 Gideon Meat Plant<---basically every Drop
2 Yamaoka Estate<---Sanctum of Wrath
1 Ormond<---Main Building
1 Hawkins<---basically every room with a Drop
1 Glenvale<---Saloon, scaffold
So yeah, those are the things that come to my mind immediatly. This does not include RNG-Stuff like Harvesters or Hills.

Honestly, for me, Killer is currently easier. Maybe this is a sign that now basically every Survivor is in Red Ranks, lol. Because as Survivor I managed to derank to purple again, just yesterday. Getting Ebony Mori Huntress with Iri Heads, getting one-hooked because nobody wants to get me and so on. Yesterday evening alone I played 4 hours with a friend and still managed to lose 3 Pips the whole evening. Dont know what is going on currently.
So I am currently at Rank 2 4 Pips as Killer and Rank 5 4 Pips as Survivor. And I dont do anything different than usual, completing my Grinds most of the time.
-
This would only increase Queue Times. Because the Matchmaker would have to look for the disabled Maps for each player before putting them together.
-
Wiggling off should be a rare occasion. The main purpose of the Wiggling Bar is that the Killer cannot bring the Survivor to any Hook he wants (most likely the Basement) so that he has to choose one of the closer Hooks.

LOL it makes no sense. I just want more points, and that's it. If it punishes killers themselves, why give killers the ability to open the gate themselves (Besides blood warden)?
Well, Blood Warden and to start the EGC. For example to put the Survivors under some pressure. Or simply to bring the game to an end.

i mean the devs are reworking the prestige, this post is explaining why people like me wouldnt do it, its not entitlement its just an explanation. if the devs want people to prestige they would know what needs to be changes, if they dont then the changes wont be anything major. but as you said the devs dont have to give anything, even your optimization i guess considering the game runs pretty smooth most of the time.
Reward does not mean that it is gonna be reworked.
I highly doubt that it is something big what players, who prestiged their characters, will get. I guess the Main Reason to prestige will still be the Cosmetics.

As spirit i opened the gate myself. All gens are done. For huntress i think someone opened it, but eventually get caught.
Does it affect the emblem?
As written above, opening the Gates affects the Emblem. This got changed a while back when they changed Ruin. In exchange, the first Gens being done dont hurt the Emblem that much.
So yeah, if you dont open the Gates, you will get a better Gatekeeper.
-
Were the Gates open?

A brand new part is literally 15 seconds of free gen time so I can see why the devs would be hesitant to allow it to appear in chests. The pink medkit add-on allows survivors to heal without wasting any time and even in chase. Also controversial.
To be fair, this would at least make Chests somewhat worth (in regards to Toolboxes). Even with a Commodious Toolbox the time someone spent to search a Chest is longer than the actual benefit from the Toolbox.
In general, Chests ingame are pretty much something to be ignored, unless the Survivor is running Plunderers or is injured and needs a Medkit.

Never played Solo Survivor, eh?
