Cross-play yes, Cross-Progression is still in progress. Right now the only platforms offering Cross-Progression are Steam and Google Stadia. Nintendo Switch is slated to be added to that but unless there's been news since last I heard that's not implemented yet. XBox and Playstation are currently no-gos pending negotiation.
ah I see. Thanks for the info!!!

That's what a hacker would say.
You can't fool us!!

post-release threads about a killer being bad are all the same.
Learn to play PH better and see his strengths rather than focusing on made up weaknesses.
Y'all remember when they said deathslinger was too weak and had no pressure? No? Carry on then

I think 1 minute is fair. It could be worse it could be 2 minutes
I think people forget DS was able to be used at any given point in the match with no activation requirement.
Good ole days of survivor play being op, and killers being able to down you mid unhook animation

I see a need for the perk to remain, but your argument makes zero sense. Yes, it’s a great perk for countering tunneling. However, it’s still great to use while NOT countering tunneling.
Bare in mind, a T3 DS has a 1 minute activation...one minute!! All 5 gens can be repaired in less than 5 minutes. This means, if all 4 survivors are using DS, the killer has only 1 minute of play where he/she doesn’t have to worry about DS.
Another example: Gens are done, killer has to recover while in endgame. Everyone’s by one exit. The killer camps, survivors take turns trading hooks on a hook very close to the exit...this can activate DS for all players. Now, the killer can watch them crawl out the exit, or pick them up to eat a DS and the only chance a killer would have here is if the muffin misses the skill check....everyone escapes again.
Now, not all games are gen rushed...a lot, but not all. So let’s look at another scenario. Let’s be clear, 1 minute is a LONG time. You can get unhook...the killer goes after a teammate...hooks them. Go after ANOTHER teammate, hooks them. Goes after you, hooks...NOPE, you still have DS.
Let’s be clear about one specific point, YES, DS is a valuable tool for countering tunneling. However, the majority of the time this perk is an effect, it is being used as a free second chance that is NOT countering tunneling.
NGL if you, as a Killer, are going up against 4 survivors all with DS active you are doing something right. The Killer momentum in that scenario is obvious and it favors the Killer when he doesn't have to worry about DS later.

If you must change it..I had an idea..reduce her hatchets to 3 base but when she hits a survivor they receive mangled till healed, exhaustion for about say 20 seconds, and hindered for 20 seconds..then..her final hatchet only becomes a one shotting axe..makes the addon cooler and since you only get one chance to insta down it could lead to neat plays
This actually sounds neat for the most part. I don't know about hindered for 20 seconds. But I have a counter offer.
Oblivious, Mangled/broken, and Exhausted for Iri head. I'd say reduce hatchets to 3 instead of 1.
Then give her an addon that grants her let's say undetectable? (Maybe) for about 10 seconds when she gets a hatchet hit.
(This might be useful for huntresses that like to split pressure by throwing hatchets to other survivors while in a chase... or close distance with more unpredictability)
-
A luchador survivor ready to wrestle a killer is something id want to see lol
-
I have played survivor with a controller on pc it really isn't a big deal if youre already sentient of your surroundings.
As for killer, I think it would be easier to play against survivors with keyboards. First person POVs always pair well with mouse
-
Bullying people who want to learn the new killer? Huh?
I mean I guess If you're really bad at survivor your only saving grace is to go tbag new killers in ptb.
As for the full meta loadouts, well the amount of Ebony Moris on Pyramid Head players that want to see the mori pretty much causes survivors to try and leave as soon as possible to match the speed of the killer taking players out of the game so quickly already.
Not defending toxic survivor behavior in the ptb, but there is plenty of killer toxicity as well.
This is a direct result of the PTB not exactly having a ranking system. You will get killer players who are so bad they rely on face camping, and you get survivors who are toxic but ######### at loops

I have to disagree with this. Bearing in mind how many ds, swf and gen speed threads there are I think it's about balanced.
This ^
Idk why OP even had this in mind.
Just take a look at how many threads there were defending freddy, complaints about Keys, and DS.
-
I hear Iri hatchet huntress does pretty much the same
-
Whenever I run DS:
> Killer leaves me be
Whenever I dont run DS:
> Killer picks me up
Whenever no one in the game has DS:
> Killer tunnels anyone off hook. Ps. Not because they're lets say scummy, it literally makes no game sense to go after an uninjured person when the person injured is practically a free hook after down.
Sadly that's just how this perk is. I sometimes don't understand the frustration of some people when they don't actually try to play around the perk properly.

I think it really becomes a problem during the EGC .
Yes and so does literally every perk usable during EGC.
BT
DS
Unbreakable
Deliverance
Adrenaline
You get the point. Personally, If waiting 15 seconds if you really want to tunnel is too hard for anyone, then it's a matter of get good at the game so you're not put into a position like that.
I've had NOED games where the BTd survivor tanks a hit for the savior and have both escape. This is honestly the most 1000 IQ play and highly punishing for a low skill gap perk and I love it.

Freddy doesn't need a nerf...I would rather have a killer where survivors need to struggle and make tough decisions in order to have a shot at countering it, not a killer where their power is a mere minor inconvenience like Legion.
That's just the thing though. Freddy's power isn't exactly a "minor" inconvenience. The only nerf i proposed barely affects his strengths. Freddy can put someone to sleep both passively and aggressively. Top it off with addons like paint brush, there's really not much you can do against it.
Its not a huge nerf to his kit, only a QoL change for people who dislike running across the map to some clock in a deadzone only to be struck by an m1 and put back to sleep.
-
Do you guys remember when a lot of people said deathslinger was terrible?
Pepperidge farm remembers.
-
iirc the map will be tweaked a bit. Breakable walls favor killers , not survivors.
Saloon just has the problem of a terrible tile.
-
I sneezed and lost because of it
-
I agree with @ich_häng_mal_rum here
Bt is quite easily countered. If a survivor really wants to body block using bt ill just simply chase the bt person count to 15 in my head or get a grab on them. Let them waste DS too.
People have mentioned the damage should go to the unhooker, but with things like *insert any instadown perk/addon* it would kill the perk for what it was intending to do. The point of BT isn't to trade hooks.
With that said, should the perk have a CD on uses or a small timer before an unhook? I mean it could, but isn't the timer okay in paper but terrible in application? Those few seconds might not even matter.
If youre worried about hook bombs just watch the hooked person as you walk away (moonwalk).
-
Hmmm I have mixed feelings here and there.
Let's start with the name of the killer.
Grammar nazism prevents me from accepting calling someone "the blind". It just doesn't sound good in a sentence.
The backstory is a bit generic imo. But it doesn't matter too much and I can see what kind of point is being conveyed.
Her passive/power.
Okay. So, this is where it gets a bit offkey for me. She's essentially an m1 killer with a lot of aura reading. She would also probably be a very strong killer considering you kinda always know where to go, meaning the logic behind having a patrol route is pretty much void.
Also her main counter would probably be Iron Will, which brings us to spirit stridor vibes all over again.
I was gonna say a thing about having a killer that is unable to see incoming flashlight saves etc but with the power depending on how it's set up could counter to that.
You mentioned sonar/ echo location?
Is this a passive here where she pulsates an echo and it bounces back to her? Because, echo location is used by animals like bats and dolphins, and the waves bouncing back draw a sort of image in their heads. (With this she could technically see survivors in front of her who are not exactly moving)
Perks
- reverse premonition sounds like a cool idea, but there should be an audio cue that the perk is triggered too imo. (Same way as PM)
- this hex perk would be similar to third seal. I think it would definitely present a good threat if it's done right. It would definitely be strong on a killer like nurse and spirit. But iirc third seal works on a maximum of 3 survivors. Having it affect all 4 might be a bit too strong.
The last perk might also be a bit too strong despite only a reveal for 2 seconds. With no range limit it surpasses BBQ. Combine this with Nemesis and you know where you're going all the time as well.

If that's the case I don't think waking up from the clock should give a bonus to staying awake. It should be the same as missing a skillcheck or being woken up by a teammate, because you could wake up from anywhere.
It depends. A reduction maybe.
But in the same way you can wake up from anywhere so to speak, your teammates can as well. Meaning you might have to run to the end of the map after all to wake up. Or risk staying asleep waiting a long time for a respawn
-
And these perks will be perks that you already have unlocked from your BW for that character and it picks them on rng?
Or does it just take all the perks as if it was custom games and picks them in a way that let's you try them out?
Orr does it take perks that are available to your character but haven't unlocked in the BW yet?
-
Imo the best nerf freddy can get is making all the clocks usable to wake a survivor. The only catch is that they kinda work like plague cleanses, and they won't respawn until x amount of time passes.
This way it's practically your fault as a survivor if you're asleep, but won't have to run across the map just to wake up and run back to a timer starting again.

-
I'd like to add a bit to this as well. This is what I use to determine my "tier list" but instead of using the niche lettered tiers I based mine off scores from 1 - 10 in some categories mainly affected by the things you explained.
There's one more factor, in my honest opinion, is also very important to consider and it might be the only thing that keeps the "weaker" killers, as some would call them; in a position that in terms of viability and its position in my "tier list".
What I am referring to is the Killer's ability to make a "comeback" which focuses entirely on momentum halts and momentum flips. This could be in the form of 3-gen locks or performance where survivors are either already hooked or dead. While any killer can technically do these and fit in this section, they don't really **focus** or **rely** on this category. Hence why killers like Trapper and Hag have a much higher rating here (9.5-10)... So it keeps an average score that places them above some killers, making them still be viable, and even strong killers.
This is one of the main things that I feel a lot of people overlook. Setting up 3 gen locks is a very strong tactic against survivors whom you feel are "gen rushing".
-
Not gonna lie if you don't have at least one teammate running some sort of obsession perk. It only invites the killer to tunnel easily not because they're being a Jeri, but because you're an easier pray and they don't have to worry about DS knowing everyone doesn't have it.
I know the perk can be heinous nuisance, but to not have at least one DS or just any obsession perk literally gives a killer a lot more pressure options to your team as a survivor for free.

I'm not very fond of tru3talent but
Puppers

It's been said already but this is so much a matchmaking problem rather than SWF.
The comms = hacks argument is a load of bull. And we don't have a definite way of knowing if we're versing a swf on comms.
Word of advice? If you stop looking at killer games as "Am I versing a SWF or not?" You will see yourself improving and asking the more important questions like: "How do I counteract this so that I don't get fooled again?"

The advice is nice and all, but i feel like they shouldn’t be able to do that. You shouldn’t have to mindgame somebody who already in the dying state.
You say you shouldn't have to mind game someone who is in the dying state but crawling to pallets to set up saves is a mind game of it's own.
Not saying the aforementioned hook tech should stay... just saying that there are mindgames while someone is in the dying state, and it applies very heavily for both sides.
-
imagine cheating in dead by daylight smh
-
I like this post a lot because it takes jabs at SWF with reasonable comments rather than what appears to be salty bias.
It's refreshing to see that there are still people in the forums who think alike and understand that the game results in the way it does due to our own actions and lack, or abundance, of knowledge of the gameplay mechanics.

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/146608/swf-needs-to-be-fixed
I've been accused of being in a SWF many times when I have been playing solo. I have been camped/tunnelled/mori and then in the post game chat the killer tells me to get AIDS and that's how you deal with SWF etc, but I'm playing solo. They always shut up when you point out you're solo and then if others chime in that they are solo too, they realise that SWF isn't as obvious as they like to think, nor tru3 but they still play like twats thinking they are up against SWF pro teams.
Stop fixating on who you're going up against and whether they are SWF or Solo. If you win, you win, if you lose, you lose. So what? At the end of the day it is a game, relax and you will enjoy it more. You haven't even played for very long and you play one half of the game. Don't expect to be a pro player just because you've watched someone play it on twitch and moan about the game. Majority of SWF aren't very good either they are just playing with their friends. I don't understand why people get upset by teabagging? It doesn't do anything. A lot will just use it to get the killer focus rather than the weak link of the team.
As for the game slowly dying, it isn't.
Holy Hell i wish everyone in the forums realized this and would stop with the nonsense of blaming swf for their problems without no actual way of display.
Post like these are cringe because people seem to think toxicity is limited to SWF, and heavy altruism seems to be as well.
Hate to be that guy but if you started 2 months ago you are indeed a baby killer. Please don't bandwagon tru3 as he can be wrong about a lot of things about as consistent as he is entertaining to watch.
Also, don't get pulled into the easiest survivor mind game which is being toxic to make you lose focus. It's literally the cheapest trick in the book.
-
I'm sure it's been said already but.
I'm against seeing any SWFs or seeing the Killer Pre game. It becomes either a dodge from either side, or a lot of counterplay before the game even starts.
It's not because the game is unbalanced, it's more of a matter of preference. I do gotta say this though... A good chunk of anti SWF threads are very misleading. This is mainly because a good portion (not all) of the Killer mains that will complain about SWF whenever they lose or have lost a match to survivors will always point a finger to SWF as a scapegoat.
There's very little amounts of evidence that indicate a 4 man SWF team outside of a Profile friend list check or asking post game. So, here's the thing.
What happens when Killers get rolled by a team of 4 solo survivors? They blame it on a swf.
When Killers see clicky clicky or tbag? Well that's gotta be swf because solo survivors couldn't possibly be toxic.
When Killers experience a match with overly altruistic survivors and see post game that all of them had BT or DS? Welp, blame the SWF. Solos don't run those perks.
Survivors "abusing" God loops and doing gens while someone else is being chased? Has to be SWF, only they can have this sort of information.
Point is, when solo survivors can easily fit in to these scenarios, it really makes you question the integrity of the majority of anti SWF threads. And streamers like Tru3 who pin a large majority of the game's imbalance ( in his opinion) on SWF. I'm not telling anyone to not watch streamers like these. I enjoy his streams time to time. But I prefer people like Otz who will, have his quirks with SWF, but not blame any sort of imbalance on them, and keeps a general open mind when it comes to killer play, and does very good because of it.
Sorry for the long read lol
-
I remember one match I was playing against people who were running Spine Chill.
I noticed that they would be gone by the time I approached the gen they were working at with no scratch marks indicating where they went. I put two and two together and just kinda moonwalked back and caught them lol. Another time I just went all the way around without looking at the gen and did the same thing and had the survivor walk into me
Easy mind game I guess lmao
-
All I would have to do as Killer is make my way to the opposite side of the map because I can see where generators are at all times. The spawn not being random will favor the killer always. And by having all survivors spawn together (assuming they don't already smh) I can just run discordance T1 and just take it from there and get a down before a single gen is completed

Forever freddy was always strong from the moment it was conceived and even post nerfs.
I do however believe Prove Thyself will counteract this build or at least negate It for most of the game. So... hooray for premade?
Idk. I usually play solo or 2 man swf. I am most excited for this change because it means the whiny killers that couldn't see past the Hex Ruin nerfs are coming back ( or just more ppl playing killer). Shorter survivor queues are truly a dream come true.

No man, don't be silly, every person in this game who wants to play with a friend is a filthy disgusting tryhard that deserves to be banned.
SWFs are the biggest scapegoat in this community, and the mantra of people who just don't want to acknowledge that they have a lot to learn before they're a top tier killer. 4 man SWFs only survive 9% more than a solo survivor according to BHVR's publicly available stats, and yet every bad killer cries on here that they go against Marth's depip squad every other game. No, you just don't know how to play against decent players.
Killers: Cues up against 4 solos and gets pub stomped
Killers: 4 man SWF are op reeeee
-
I'm just gonna say here that OP means to me, or at least the way I interpreted it, is that if the Devs didn't care about Killers at all and the game was truly survivor sided we would still have these issues today.
-
What about people with posts matching your own?🙃

I've been playing with him on console at rank 1 with
Monitor
Nurse's
Bitter/BBQ
STBFL or Brutal Strength
Works for me at rank 1. Loops are useless to survivors without a waste of a pallet (shortening how many times you can be looped).
For PC, I'm not Rank 1 atm but
Spirit Fury
Enduring
Monitor
BBQ/Bitter Murmur.
I'm doing fine with this build too. Even against swf.
I don't see how everyone can call this killer so weak after being out for less than 3 months. If you're comparing this guy to Huntress ofc he is weak... Huntress is legit a top tier killer lol
-
The best part about leaving survivors after a gen rush is that they cant pip lmao
-
Honestly, 4 man swf isnt even that big of a deal. Most of them are just people casually playing with each other. There are rare death squads that will grind you into dust... sure.
But truth being a lot of 4 man swf are either too altruistic or semi coordinated.
As for Teabaggers and toxic survivors... that can be anyone. If you're getting upset over teabagging and clicky clicky you're falling into a survivor minigame so you make more mistakes.
I sincerely doubt anyone will run perks like third seal pre game lobby if they know they are facing a swf and will just swap perks around. (Since apparently everyone can tell when they are facing SWF right?)
Also as for the rank 20 killer vs 1 smurf and the rest not is impossible. You're thinking of matchmaking from a long time ago or you are exaggerating. They're either all smurfs vs a rank 20 killer or not.
-
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
In which case I will say that the last time I crashed because of the game was a few months past. Largely the reason you would DC is usually your own fault, and the fault of servers having spikes that will result in people disconnecting.
A lot of "game crashes" are a result of poor optimization on your computer. For example, having thr game set to Ultra settings when you can only handle medium, etc.
I'm not saying you are having this problem, but I've had people who can't manage the right settings fitting of their PC for games and crash... then blame the games.
Anyway, I hope what I said above isn't the case, I would love it if you went into more detail about it rather than complain about DCs dime a dozen.
-
Pig is just obviously OP
-rep!!!!
-
This is the same as survivors who just do all gens and have no interaction with killer.
Both sides can't pip from games like these
Unfortunately that's just how Dead by Daylight works. No one pips from quick games where either side pub stomps the other. They want you to have a slightly longer match!
