The information which the Killer gets should be reduced (aka No Names or Profiles), but the Survivors should not get more information.
It is enough that one side thinks they are entitled to dodge Lobbies until they think it is easy enough. It is not needed that both sides can do that.

I am a Killer God! Yes, I will tell my Mom right away!

I dont have a problem with this challenge personally, even tho, whenever I have it, the Killer is respecting the ######### out of every Pallet. Maybe because teammates waste Pallets to get this Challenge done quick.
I hate Grab-Challenges with a Passion, because Grabs are still bugged and those Challenges still appear in the Archives.

Yeah, it'll probably be a charm, some BP and/or shards.
Personally I would love to have some BP-Multiplier per Prestige Level. But it would be pretty minor.
Because, in fact, getting a Character from P0 to P3 does not cost that many BPs, at least compared to get all Perks on a Character. This ######### is expensive as #########.
I am going to P3-50 all Perks every Character in the game, and I almost cried after I have checked that I need 30 more Bloodwebs to finish Ace, lol.

I would not play Killer if I would not enjoy it. So yes.
And if someone plays Killer and is saying he does not enjoy it, he is either
a) addicted to the game and should consider getting help
or
b) a very kind person who wants Survivors to have games (unlikely).
So I guess everyone who plays Killer enjoys it in general, even tho there are some frustrating games in between.

Hey who knows these could be a new set of prestige skins we'll just have to wait and see the hype around prestige variations has been around since legacy ended it wouldn't shock me if the developers were looking to add more skins to the pool of prestige and maybe more who knows
I just wait out and see.
But I guarantee there will be Threads complaining about how low the Prestige Rewards are.
-
@brokedownpalace said:
I would hope that anyone who is already prestiged before the reward update would get the rewards. It would be super lame otherwise.
They will not screw over those people who have already prestiged.
It will be a minor reward tho, maybe just a Charm. So I would not have high expectations.

I actually just went over everyone for personal knowledge. (just to be clear, i know with most of these you can already see their item, even keys, but just wanted to actually see how those animations change for future refrence) Also note: these are all from survivor's lobby perspective. So:
- Original 4 (Dwight, Claud, Meg and Jake) have the same animation for having and not having an item
- Nea's animation changes - if she has an item, she no longer puts her arm on her other arm.
- Bill's the same
- If David has an item he no longer does that scratching of his nose.
- Laurie's and Ace's animation are the same
- Feng's entire standby animation changes - her arms are no longer crossed
- Quentin loses his idle animations, same as David.
- Tapp seems to lose one of his idle animations, where he puts his arm on his neck.
- Kate's, Adam's and Jeff's remain the same
- Jane has a clear diffrence, similiarly to Feng, one of her arm is no longer on her hips while in standby animation. Also she will no longer use her hand to put it near her face (cause she holds an item) in her idle animation.
- Ash's the same
- Nancy will no longer hug herself if she has an item
- If Steve is holding a key or a flashlight his animations are the same. If he's holding something else his tool hand will instead be on his side instead of his hips.
- Yui's animation is the same
- And finally Zarina - Her animations don't change.
So there's that.
Aside from Steve (and I am not sure if it is intended or a Bug), you can see the Key with all Survivors quite easily. Steve can be tricky tho.

Honestly, i will farm for this one because it's not on killer hands to grab someone out of the locker. Makes no sense. Stupid challenge.
You can tunnel someone off Hook to "force" them to jump into a Locker to get the DS. And yes, this is stupid gameplay, but other than that, there is not really an option to get this done IMO (except for farming, of course). This is how I did it and well... Wasnt nice tbh.
So I 100% agree that this is a stupid challenge because either the Killer needs to play like a Jerk and tunnel, just to get this Challenge done, or they need to farm. Because once the Survivors know you have Iron Maiden, they will not enter a locker anymore.
-
Those are not Console-Hackers, currently Crossplay only exists between Steam and Windows Store. But yeah, I have experienced one hacker as well. And in retrospect, most likely a second one, because one time I played Killer I had 3 Windows Store Players in my Lobby and after my first Hook the game was laggy as hell. The Survivors said it was laggy for them too, but it might have been possible that the Server has been ddosed, who knows.
In general, this is something that needs to be fixed. Opting out of Crossplay is not an option because apparently you will get only matched with players who opted out as well and this will be a really low number of Players.
So I would say that dodging Crossplay Players would be the best option currently. At least I will do it, since I had this one Hacker in my Lobby.

Killer outplays you and grabs you while you're vaulting a window, gets stunned for it anyway. Is that fair?
You were unhooked and the killer is somewhere else on the map. Even if the killer were to immediately turn around, you already have a chance to hide, be healed, etc.. In other words, you have a second chance. Having to specify such an incredibly unlikely scenario is just proof that this suggestion covers all the scenarios that actually happen.
It is not unlikely at all. Of course it is easy to dismiss a counter-argument by saying "it is unlikely". But Killers are crying for safe Unhooks instead of BT-Unhooks. And if the Killer is chasing someone else, this is incredible safe at this point.
Besides that, IMO the only Nerf DS needs is that it is disabled during Endgame. I can only speak for myself but I rarely get hit by DS and I highly doubt I am the exception.
But I know - Killers are the victims. :)

It’s all about gen pressure bud.
1: If you’re chasing a survivor where no gens are drop chase, they’re purposely wasting your time. Go back to gens.
2: if you’re chasing a survivor near gens and they drop a pallet, and you see another pallet close to them. Chase the survivor around that loop so they’re on the opposite end then break the pallet chance are you’ll get a hit in or a down.
3: Don’t be afraid to 3 gen if you have a weak start.
4: your priority is always gens, if you’re at a part of the map where a bunch of pallets are around and you’re chasing a survivor chase that survivor and break 1-2 pallets if you can’t get the down give up chase and go back to gens.
Gens are the priority for survivors pallets are their safety net tactically lowering that net over time is how you win the game.
This forum does not like people using logic. Be careful.
-
- "When you're grabbed. Too many survivors abuse lockers when they have DS because it forces the killer to either get stunned, or let them go without slugging them (meaning they can just go right back on generators). It's a lose-lose situation for the killer imposed by a single survivor perk, which is inadmissible in an asymmetrical game."
Nice. Getting grabbed while vaulting a Window disables my DS. Nice, nice.
- "If the killer has put another survivor in the dying state. You've already escaped danger; you've had your second chance."
lol.
Killer is chasing someone else aka good moment to Unhook. Right after I got unhooked the other Survivor is downed. Killer is now free to tunnel me since he knows that I dont have DS.
-
Use your eyes. It is not that hard. Also the animation changes if the Character is holding something. Killers have 60 seconds to prepare (or to dodge, what most will likely do, lol), in those 60 seconds there will be an opportunity to see what the Survivors are bringing.

No, they said that they are not planning any Devotion Rewards. He was indeed talking about Prestige Rewards and was meaning it that way.

Whispers is the best Tracking Perk in the Game. It does not need a Buff which encourages Camping.
People who ask for that only want an excuse for camping. "But Whispers was on"...

I just copy my assumption:
"I assume it is because of the Rank Reset Change. Players dont get set back that much, so the low Rank players have it harder to find games. And at some point, high Rank SWFs and low Rank Killers have long queue times and the Matchmaker puts them both together.
But this is pure speculation."
It seems to be problematic on PS4, at least this is the platform most players are playing when they are reporting this issue.

Sorry 5 in 100? You must be really good at killer or have really nice survivors on your platform as this would especially happen when survivors are winning
I dont think that I am the exception. And nah, I am not good as Killer, but I am in Red Ranks as well (because Killer is not hard), so I should get the more "problematic" Survivors.

Damn I never knew that. Now I have a tool for proving that the survivor's internet was at fault and not mine.
This got added with the Midchapter Patch, so it is fairly new.
@Topic: Agreed. Killers Ping should be visible. But it looks like they are looking into making Hits Server-sided or letting the Server control if a Hit is valid. This will probably still lead to some questionable Hits, but should remove the really high Ping Hits and VPNs.
-
I guess this happens to me like 5 times in 100 games as Killer. No need to invest any ressources in that. If they do this midgame, fine, they are not on a Gen. If they do this endgame, I can go afk and remove my Headset, fine as well.

How would the killer get more? If the killer tunnels one person the whole game, then that should mean that they haven't landed any hits, or maybe just one. Meaning they're only getting brutality points from breaking pallets If they have, they would eventually hook the survivor, and the survivor can be hooked only three times. Once the survivor is dead, they wouldn't be tunneling them anymore.
Well, the Killer gains Hunting (probably Max), some Brutality (300 per Hit, so at least 1200 + broken Pallets), Sacrifice and most likely Deviousness. This will be more than those 8000 Boldness the Survivor gets (+maybe some Stuff like Distraction or similar things).
-
@Waffleyumboy Of course it is not. But I fear you are not heard, because it fits a narrative that there are not that many Killers. Because that queue time increased from one day to the next day is only because Killers are always punished. /s
@venom12784 said:
No. By that logic a 4 man would find a game as fast as killers find games, or even 2 man would find a match fairly quickly.
Nah, the problem is that more players are queueing for a Spot in the Red Ranks, even tho they are not Red Ranks, because the Matchmaker uses the highest Rank. Before a 2 man SWF between a Rank 2 and a Rank 16 would have searched around Rank 9 (or should have searched). Now it would be searching for a Rank 2 Killer. More players in the same pot = longer queue time.
@AssassinZodiac said:
Then what is your theory on why so many yellow and white ranked killers get forced into a lobby of all red rank survivors so often? I'm currently a level 13 killer, almost all my matches on ps4 are against full red rank survivors in my matches. I'd say that 1 in 10 matches actually puts me against survivors within 6 levels of my rank like it's supposed to work. All others are against full on red ranks.
I assume it is because of the Rank Reset Change. Players dont get set back that much, so the low Rank players have it harder to find games. And at some point, high Rank SWFs and low Rank Killers have long queue times and the Matchmaker puts them both together.
But this is pure speculation.

What's wrong with CI on Spirit? It makes perfect sense because you are more likely to get surprise hit and sometimes without the survivors even hearing you coming. In the late game, a 3 gen with Spirit can be GG.
I dont think that the Perk can be wrong on any Killer. But I think that Spirit has better Options to choose than Corrupt Intervention.
-
I guess the Reward will be pretty minor. Could also be just a charm.
Maybe we should wait before we make any assumptions.
-
They talked about a Prestige Reward. Which would actually be nice.
Sadly no Devotion-Reward.
-
@[Deleted User] said:
Corrupt Intervention is a ridiculously overrated perk. I'm a rank 1 killer and I never use it. It just makes survivors move slightly to do a different generator. Generator speeds are not keeping you from reaching rank 1.
It is a really good Perk on some Killers. But I agree, someone who is using it to replace Ruin does not put that much thought into it. E.g. I am quite confused when I see a Spirit with Corrupt Intervention.
-
Rank 4 as Killer means that you are barely able to reach Red Ranks. Most likely you switch between Rank 4 and 5, meaning that you are better than Purples, but not good enough for Red Ranks.
So yeah, you are not good enough (yet). This has nothing to do with "Gen Rush", many other players are able to reach Rank 1 as Killer, and they will not have slower Survivors than you.
-
This Bug should have been fixed with the latest Hotfix. Did it happen again since then?
-
Category Caps need to be removed with keeping the overall Cap. Someone who would get tunneled all game would then have more BPs than now, because once they are capped, there is nothing to gain at this point. Killers on the other hand are filling Categories all at once, so they surely will get more BPs when they are tunneling one person.
With the removal of Category Caps players would get something even if they are doing the same action the whole match. And if a Survivor gets tunneled the whole game and ends up with 20k Boldness Points it feels way more rewarding than 8k Points.

It is solidly easier to rank as survivor than killer.
Depends. Surely the Killer has to do more (which is expected when he is the "1" in "1vs4"), but ranking up as Killer is faster. At least it is easier to blackpip and especially double pip, as Killer.
EDIT: To clarify - while I have more to do as Killer because I am alone, I generate more Pips/game on average.

I can't agree there. Rank 1 killers are some of the worst perpetrators of camp and tunnel. Although I will agree that A LOT of red rank survivors don't belong there.
Ranking up is too easy on both sides. And this is also because both sides can stomp Potatoes who dont belong to Red Ranks.

Damm the devs must have been drunk when they decided to change rank reset if that was there reasoning. Did they not realize this change would completely ruin matchmaking in the process
I agree, this change will most likely (at least to an extend) be the reason for the current Matchmaking Issues. It seems like on PS4 there are two groups of players who have long queue times - low Rank Killers and 4 man SWFs. And in the end those get mixed together by the Matchmaker.
And it is no surprise, if players dont get reset to a low Rank anymore, surely low Rank players will have problems to find games.
-
Players who did not play that much were not able to get into the Ranks where players would be who play more. So it might be frustrating for them to not reach higher Ranks, because they get set back so much each Rank Reset. So it got changed to make it less frustrating for players who dont play that much.
Yes, this was their reasoning.
-
Yes, I hate them with a passion. Either they make mindgameable structures laughable or they are mandatory to break to not have a god loop. Bad design, really bad design.
They should be implemented to give a choice to the Killer - he benefits from breaking it but the Survivors might also benefit from it. It is a choice and not "I 100% have to break it" or "If I break it I will have an easier time" or "If I break it, I will have no advantage" (like the room with the 3 breakable Walls on the Saloon Map).
The latter one is laughable anyway, BHVR created a strong loop and they removed it by adding a Deathtrap for Survivors. Horray.
It is a shame because when they announced the concept, I was actually hyped.
-
@BattleCast said:
I don't really see the problem with gen speeds. Especially now that chases are ending faster without the god windows.
Chases are only ending faster when Killers know what they are doing. And they often enough dont know what they are doing.
Example: I had a Freddy before Rank Reset (Rank 1 Killer, thought I face a Rank 10 once again..) who did not catch me at 2 T/L-Walls next to each other. He did not mindgame at all or change the direction at all. After a while he decided to vault the Window instead of going around, the results can be expected. He left me eventually.
I expect that this guy would be someone to complain about Gen Speed - not able to catch a Survivor on one of the most fair Tiles and then Gens are too fast.
-
Infinite Tier 3 is the stronger one and can MAYBE seen a little bit too strong. It does not take that long to get it and once aquired it is pretty powerful.
The Tombstone is kinda weak. Sure it can get someone, but it takes long to get the required Evil AND it has a significant Movement Speed Debuff. The Tombstone Piece (his purple Add On) is superior for killing people.
And both Add Ons together requires almost 4 full Stalks. PLUS the Downside of the Tombstone. There is a reason why the Achievement to get 4 Kills with EW3 is one of the harder achievements to get.
-
Of course the Rank Reset-Change needs to be reverted. But hey, people who dont play much cannot achieve the same like people who actually play the game. Surely you need to change it then! At least this was the thought of the Devs.
New Rank Reset is a Joke. And partly fault of the bad Matchmaking in my opinion. If people dont get reset that much, they will cluster in High Ranks and at some point low Ranks will not find any games (most likely low Rank Killers). As we see with various Threads of PS4-Killers who have to go against Red Rank SWFs because both groups have long wait times. And at some point the Matchmaker puts them together. Yay.
Like, someone who is on 4 gets reset to 5. This is not a Rank Reset, this is 1 (!) lost game. And back in the day you knew Rank Reset was close when the Potatoes reached Red Ranks. Now they are in Red Ranks right after Rank Reset.
-
Just play the game. Only because they are SWF does not make them godlike players all of the sudden. If they are a really strong SWF they would give you a hard time as Solos anyway.

But how would this be fair to someone who hasn't stockpiled a massive amount of bp, to someone who has and insta p3s every new killer and survivor?
I mean, both is a point. Even tho, someone who has a P3-50 Deathslinger with all Perks at Release Day did earn the BPs before. But understandable from BHVRs perspective to keep the grind.
But increasing the BP-Cap would be enough. At least to a point where you would actually get something from the Update that Bloodwebs from Tier 40 onwards let you get 2 Perks. Because currently 1 Million BPs is something like Level 36.
Maybe if they tie it to Devotion, like each Level of Devotion is 100k BPs more for the Cap.
-
I mean, if you do the first Killer Challenge (which is basically "play 3 games"), you get access to the generic Challenge and to other Survivor Challenges.
I dont think that this is that much of a problem.
-
@CornHub said:
The devs said it's because they don't want someone who let's say saved up 100million blood points and then dump it all on the newest killer or survivor. It's kinda fair as not everyone has as much free time or not everyone wants to play dbd 24hours a day just so they also save up bp to have a decent counter against someone who's already a p3 Deathslinger with all the perks unlocked.
To be fair, a removal or increase of the BP-Cap would actually more benefit those players who dont have that much freetime. Someone who can play DBD 24/7 can reach those one million BPs in a short period of time while someone who can play like 30 minutes per day will take a lot longer.
So someone who does not have the opportunity to play that much every day can actually get more BPs over time to make the Grind easier when a new Character comes out. While someone who plays a lot can get this done faster.

I know it's a standard BT tactic to run, screaming like a banshee, straight at the hook, but I like to give people the benefit of the doubt that they might play a little smarter than that.
How does this change the fact that a camping Freddy can negate BT? Exactly, not at all. There are also people who use BT reasonable. And at some point there needs to be an Unhook.
You can stay in your entitled Killer-Bubble or simply accept the fact that Freddy is strong enough without the potential to ignore a Anti-Camp-Perk.
-

And all Freddy has to do is miss a skill check, find other awake killer, or get to the highlighted clock to turn off OoO.
Oh, wait...
What does being awake change on the fact that Freddy can ignore BT?
Freddy will most likely be able to get in a Hit, meaning the Rescuer is asleep and BT is gone.
Of course both should not be possible, neither should Freddy be seen all time with OoO, nor should he be able to ignore BT.
-
Meanwhile you can ignore BT with Freddy. This is a good Trade for Freddy, considering BT is used way more than OoO.
-
To be fair, the Bloodpoints are not used for Ranking, but the Emblems are. So you get Bloodpoints in Objectives (a Category that can be maxed out) and points in Lightbringer.
However, those are different from each other, e.g. you can get a lot of BPs by Co-Op Action, but this will not bring that many points in Lightbringer. Meanwhile you can have max BPs in Objectives, but not a Iridescent Emblem in Lightbringer.
Those things are different from each other.

OP: Bus is an infinite.
(He's wrong, but that's beside the point)
You: Why are killers pushing for survivors to spawn on the hook?
Does the slippery slope fallacy ever get you anywhere? Genuinely asking.
I know that you are a defender of Killers and think they are the victims of this game - they are not.
Maps got reworked a LOT. And still Killers complain on this Forum because the game is not easy enough. It is as easy as it never was before. Still Killers want to balance everything on HIgh Rank Survivors but Green Rank Killers.
Let alone that OP is using the word "fix". Bugs get fixed. But not Structures. OP seems to think that strong Structures are a Bug.
