Can we create a pool so all these DC dbd players can play together?
I block dodgy DC penalty players so to check each lobby never to play with them again
-
Why would I waste a perk slot if I'm a solo?
SWFs have this information without using a perk slot... Oh wait, BHVR are buffing... balancing SWF... by... buffing perks for all...
BHVR I managed to type it, why not fix it?
-
BHVR refuse to show SWFs their pre or post lobby... it is easy to do but they would show that it isn't SWF that way.
But of course it is and thats why they don't show it or attempt to balance it by debuffing their coordination speed XD
-
This post us pointless as they haven't read why DS needs a nerf.
Simply DS should only be an anti-tunnel perk.
Currently it also allows gens to be rushed with a 60 second god mode x2 in a 300 second gen rush map.

Increase them? [BAD WORD] off! Bruh, it can sometimes be annoying when someone disconnects, especially on your team but man, this game isn't competetive. There have been so many cases where I've been playing with friends and we are getting finally hooked and one of them can't be bothered to play anymore or have a brief moment of rage and alt f4. The restrictions were annoying enough then, increasing them? Good [BAD WORD] luck, especially with the state of this game rn
"this game isn't competetive" then why a "moment of rage" on this so called relaxing lawnmower simulator game where a 4v1 apparently doesn't matter?
You sir should be playing in the new dbd highly populated bad sports lobby
-
How can you post about Mori's but don't see the key which is even worse.
When has a killer found a Mori in chest?
Keys and Moris should be changed, it makes it no fun for with either side

Honestly i don't think that's the way to go about things, especially since the game is laid out for casual players.
No everyone's a diehard 12 hours a day DbD player. Or streams it for 23 hours every day.
They should first fix the game so you don't have as many reasons to dc.
Laid out for casual players? Please explain
I too wouldn't expect everyone to be a 12 to 23 hours player... Why would you say this?
Fix the game? What do you mean?

All they literally have to do is add DC bots or even "AFK stuck in dying state" husks like Mobile already has. Quitting should NEVER give you an advantage in any game, EVER!
BHVR needed to fix this yesterday

I have a question about MMR. If I'm normally rank 1 killer, will I have to play 4-man sweat squads every single game under MMR? Because that ######### sucks
No, it is another buff to 4xSWFs.
You'll still get random solo survivors so it will be even easier playing rainbow coloured ranked survivors who can't talk to each other.
Of course the game is balanced around solo survivors so expect SWFs to be more fun

That would be a great idea, though certain things should increase your reputation as opposed to just time, for example, you start at a reputation of 100, you DC 6 times and now have a reputation of 40, by Leaving a lobby after death, you gain 1 Reputation, by leaving after surviving a match, you gain 2 reputation. By leaving after the trial ends if you were dead earlier, you gain 5. By saying gg, you get 1. If you don't struggle at all, you lose 5 Basically, any actions that are considered good sportsmanship give you a small amount of +rep points, and any actions considered bad sportsmanship, you get a larger amount of -rep points. The only downside I can see is how it would effect matchmaking
Easy to do and stick them in a bad reputation lobby to experience others not having fun or lag issues.
Of course lag issues will not be frequent so if you do have it then nothing really affects you.
Experiencing your own treatment is the best remedy and if you don't grow up they just stay in there playing unfun games
-
MMR is working as to how the devs have intended it to.
You do well against a noob with low MMR and you get a little MMR.
You do well against an experienced player with high MMR and you get a lot of MMR.
Noob killers losing interest by playing DBD and taking up being a survivor is nothing new in DBD.
This is to mask the problems with matchmaking and mask MMR rankings so nothing is wrong here.
Everything is fine and going along the planned route......

If you get a DC penalty for lagging out it shouldn't be in the game. I don't get why you're so worried about other players being penalized just cause they don't wanna play a unfun match.
I can DC out of a match in many different ways like other survivors can, why should it matter if I select "Leave game" or lag out as both leave the game.
"I don't get why you're so worried about other players being penalized just cause they don't wanna play a unfun match."
I'm not worried about other players being penalised, if they fail to live up to their commitment then of course the game should penalise them. Are you worried that players do get penalised?
An unfun match happens, it happens in games but when you part of a 4 man team you are robbing the fun from the other players. If then another player finds that unfun they DC, and etc... making you wonder... does clicking 'Ready' mean you are ready to play this game or not?
Quite simply if you are finding games 'unfun' or 'boring' then don't play the game as it is like playing a game then taking your ball home.
-
Ah the survivors meta build of DS, Unbreakable, Adrenaline and Wake up.
If only it could be nerfed into a second chance perk...

Why wait, you know you're going to spend it ;)

They should really take out DC penalties especially because If you lag out of a server It will think you DC'ed and not lagged out of the lobby
DC is a DC
I can "lag out" any time I wish but would still expect a DC penalty

Forcing someone to play in a miserable match is not something that needs to come back. Doing so will only result in suicides to get out of there.
A fun or miserable match is what you sign up for when you click ready.
It is an agreement to put your time into the game, if you truly can't handle a bad game then I'd message BHVR and ask for them to set up these bad sports lobbies and see how miserable the players then feel about it themselves with others of those mindsets.
-
I very infrequently play killer now but I used to give the hatch but not any more.
You have more stress as killer and if you really have had to put a sweat on then I'd refuse to give hatch on the back of them not wriggling.
If however they carried their team or had been sandbagged / trolled by their team then I might decide differently.
One killer heard me breathing in a locker and just stood outside it shaking their head, I got out slowly walked two lockers down and quietly got into the next one. The killer wanted to give me that hatch because they laughed so much XD
Earning the hatch should be earn't but I wouldn't expect the killer to do so especially if they earn't their win.

Because that's exactly what you did in a match vs me? I have the vod if you want proof?
I'm all for bringing back the penalties. They helped improve game experience and when I dced because I was sick I legitimately did take a break. They were healthy for the game.
I'm sorry you were sick @GoodBoyKaru .
I personally think they have to increase them or introduce a bad sports lobby, this game is far too toxic and only seems to spread the toxicity, e.g. survivors bring a key and the killer bring a mori into the next match.
You mentioned "you apparently dc whenever you're playing with a 3 man even when you're downed first" but that suggests I was playing with a 3 man SWF which nobody knows if they are until end game which makes it impossible for me to do and then to repeatedly do is impossible.
I may well have disconnected from a game you were in but can't give you a reason why as I don't know which one, posting that I do and do this repeatedly on a forum isn't nice. I'm not perfect like you so please trust me if I did disconnect I mainly do not.
Wishing you well and hope you message me if we are playing together, Andy
-
@KingFrost you mentioned bad sport lobbies, I do hope you read it from my post :D.
Increase in time should occur with their DC'ing / reputation.
At the moment the community is well aware that DC'ing penalties aren't there and it is worse than before.
My solution at the moment is just to block them so when the lobby appears, if someone is in there who I have blocked I find a new lobby.
-
I understand this is the case but haven't seen anything from BHVR to confirm that they have disabled DC penalties due to hacking though.
The post originally was intended to show people who requested the bans to be removed how it looks now which is worse than ever.
I'm concerned that hackers can do this as banning should only be done on a server side, for the server to do this makes me wonder what has been comprised. Very concerning.
The DC ban should be increased to remove the toxicity from doing so and improve our community which can spread
-
I'm sorry to hear, today I had to defend a killer who had a poor game which he admitted straight away but one survivor just kept being toxic to him.
I explained to the survivor that we played well as a team and that I had taken out his Ruin and Devour which could have totally changed the game, I don't get these clicky chase me survivors that want to be toxic in chat afterwards.
-
@GoodBoyKaru bring back DC penalties or also increase penalties?
Also why are you posting every single time I DC whenever I play with a 3 man SWF if I get downed first?
-
No. Imagine 4 swfs reporting a killer for something he didn't do.
Similar to these forums, it is so you can vent
-
I had a post and video of survivors who at end game were convincing themselves they had not used comms to gain an advantage.
Yet, remove the silence and initial early game chat and they were calling things out that no solo survivor would ever be able to know.
One moment had the survivor shocked when the killer downed a survivor whilst being healed by them as nobody had called it out.

I don't think people blame other players for playing with their friends, or even for using discord.
I think people blame BHVR for not balancing perks with SWF w/ voice chat in mind.
@Halun a perfect reply to an overused response.
-
BHVR don't do fair, otherwise keys and moris wouldn't do what they do.
Survivors have the best perk in the game DS
Survivors also have the worse perk in the game No Mither
BHVR have made in-roads with maps and DCing (hold that thought)
Putting gameplay through an overloaded/laggy server is crazy, everything else yes but gameplay?
They also still need to tackle SWFs with the huge unfair balancing issues they bring but you hear them further fall down the route of buffing perks for solo survivors (& SWFs) to make super heros of survivors.
Why can't they adapt around the formula that works (whilst buffing and nerfing killers, perks and addons to keep things interesting)?
-
Moris and keys should be in the game simples.
Killer plays well and the 3 survivors have 3 gen'd themselves... don't worry if you didn't even bring a key find one in a chest!
Killer plays badly but mori's someone and snowballs from there...
I'm not sure BHVR want us all to have a fair and balanced game so perhaps BHVR next will give a killer a mori in a chest, just crazy.

@Flatskull said:
Now it's time to watch the SWF screech bad killers like crows being disturbed.
wait, it already happened.
You're cheaters. The game was never balanced around it, comfort yourself in disgraced tears over it with your pals as you T-bag at the gate to sooth your dignity over your cheapened victory. If you can even call it that. The entire point of the game is ambiguity and hidden player choices...literally inviting people you know and can organise with deletes like half...or more of that hidden knowledge and even more if they have comms and tell each other stuff.
The killer is hidden because their enigma is meant to be the ace in their hole and provide some level of tension and adaption to survivors, just like survivors perks are meant to be hidden from the killer because they got to observe and keep in mind who seems to have what perks and how they will play. Either side in a balance game that ignore either wouldn't do very well for long.
SWF was always broken and will always be broken and the escape rates are mostly because SWF are very well aware they will curb stomp most killers so they lol it up with potatoing and memeing around. No single player, even if they're the power role should have to deal with a preset, prebuilt, fudged team of players in any condition, EVEN if it resulted in 4K because killers keep makingi t clear...THEY...ARE...NOT...FUN...
SWF should of been its own mode with changed rules, objectives, rewards and abilities afforded to each side but the devs for some reason find adding a funny roar to billy charge more important than fixing the elephant in the room that's been in the game for literally years.
Extremely well put and as usual they don't address that elephant that everyone can see

I'd question your first point as PC killers have an advantage over console killers but console survivors have an advantage over PC players in that the comms software is in-built, so every SWF would find it easy to chat to one another.
-
They seriously have removed DC penalties?
3rd party hacking could only be done on the BHVR dedicated servers to cause a DC ban over xx days/years.
This likely means the dedicated servers security either with password or vulnerabilities are sketchy... I need a coffee

Yeah, I don’t care about swf and I don’t think people should know if there is a swf. I just gave the reasoning on why killers would dodge. They’re intimidated
Sorry bud, the "/s" indicates sarcasm.
I think we all know why I just find it interesting why it is so unfair and what lengths some people go to, balancing this game isn't what BHVR want it would seem with such an obvious imbalance.

I can't take credit for the idea as I stole it from another game which seems to work well.
You basically are putting the players who make it hell for everyone to play with each other for a taste of their own medicine.
DC points should be awarded such as if you DC'd straight after loading in, on your first down, if you didn't struggle, etc
"But what about me who didn't tap struggle" I hear you ask, well that should be find unless you are persistently forgetting to hit struggle.
Once you obtain so many DC points in a period of time then you get to play with other DC survivors and other DC killers, oh and as for wait times... enjoy.
-
To get back on the threads topic @GoodBoyKaru ...
"For the record btw, they didn't all go down at the same time, and 2 escaped. Pretty great players actually, not carried by comms."
Whilst almost impossible to know if they had a 3rd party advantage with comms I'd the game doesn't tell you they had comms or that they were to the point of this thread an SWF.

Not entirely - but I appreciate you trying and explaining so things. I think open dialogue like this is important so that we can understand all sides of these situations and work as a community to help each other.
So I take it you played killer and you are all decent players. As killer - how did you feel going up against them. Did you feel it was entirely fair?
How have you seen them treat the odd man out in their team? Fairly? Honorably and as a teammate?
@andyollolloll as a teammate - how did you feel and what was you POV on the SWF team? Did you feel they treated you fairly as a teammate? If not - what gave you the impression? Did you feel they left you out of help / assistance and other things you would hope to get from solo teammates?
What caused you to DC?
Hi @MaybeShesCrazy , perhaps you don't realise that they are trying to derail the topic of this post.
If they wish to create their own post about if that was or wasn't me or why they DC'd with an SWF group then that is up to them but to try and derail this thread for whatever reasons is beyond me.

@Respectfulnancymain @GoodBoyKaru this is a post about SWFs and then DCing once downed.
I'd ask why are you talking about a game you are saying I DCd in? But then you are then still not talking about the heading of this thread.
That is Why doesn't BHVR allow survivors other SWFs as they are likely to DC once downed early (others include being a lower priority such as who is healed)
Anything to say about it?
-
BHVR constantly move things around so spirit is the top killer at the moment which will be their target (again) as survivors complain.
Nurse was top killer but is dead.
Billy was strong but was still nerfed.
Old Ruin required skill and nobody seemed to complain.
However Freddy and Doctor reworks have made them strong.
This keeps things fresh I guess in BHVRs eyes
Try spirit would be my answer if you can hear and react to start with

Spot the difference.
The issue here is that survivors (Feng picture) have a close up of just the survivors and easily see the key.
The killer (David pictures) show a killer and 4 small survivors where the key is very well hidden.

That is almost as bad as BHVR saying they originally intended to have SWF but ran out of time...
What was their thoughts of how this affects solo players? or OoO?

However BHVR will not comment on this as there are no stats publish by BHVR that substantiate this.

They were bad tho. I don't think the information they shared mattered much in this match.
Most of the time it's bad survivor with communication, doesn't matter if they say things like "he's on me" if the guy can't loop.
Seriously what difference does it make ? Are they not gonna do the gen if they dont get this information ?
I had solo games with way better teamwork than this.
Which confirm what i think. SWF isn't really a problem. Not like you are in front of god tier survivor with communication every game. I would take those survivor against me over god tier survivor playing without coms
Yes they were bad and almost completed the 5th gen to escape.
Do you really think that they would have been able to complete more than 3 if they were all solo?
The difference I keep mentioning and can't be disputed is that a SWF player is exactly the same as a solo... but with knowledge of the other players and with comms, excluding many perks to it the game is time management so saves sooooo much time.
I've had better survivors, I've had worse survivors... what is your point? I'm talking about a gap that is between me or you playing solo or SWF that hasn't been addressed since inception of SWF.
How often do we see posts of killers wanting to quit after an SWF, not just sweat squads but being gen rushed by average players? The fun is taken away from killers as the advantage given to SWF players.
I have no idea if SWF players are a problem as BHVR do not wish to publish this information but many players believe they are.
Please tell me how you are worse as a SWF player vs you as a solo player?
