Based on stats, buff nurse.
I'd be fine with that, or maybe some sort of addon to make her easier. The reason her kill rate is the only low kill rate is because she's so hard to play so only the upper echelon of players do good with her, survivor is not hard to play.

Slowly but surely, this game has taken away all aspects of any mechanic that has been OP or incredibly survivor sided.
Now that it's more fair for both sides and survivors have been nerfed from OP/easy mode to balanced/need skill people are crying.
Have you ever looked at the stats? If so how are they balanced? Baseless arguments are constant with you

I'm not a red rank killer.
I'm always put with red rank survivors though, because matchmaking is #########, and the game is incredibly survivor sided.
That's why 90% of the player base play survivor, and survivor queues are so long, because nobody plays killer.
Maybe you should try playing killer, so that you can get a perspective of both aspects of the game.
If you think the game is survivor sided you should try looking at the stats, the guys right. The last official stats showed the killer with an above 60% winrate. I'm red ranks both sides and can say with certainty that killer is easier and the only reason survivor gameplay is remotely fun is because you can play with friends. All the perks are boring as ######### because only a few are actually good and you don't have much to shake your kit up with if you don't want to screw your teammates over (or more commonly, get screwed over by your teammates)

How is Bubba and Pig not fun to go against? You actually get to loop and play the game.
All I get are Spirits, Freddy's, Nurses and the occasional Huntress. They're all miserable.
I mean, I enjoy looping huntresses but other than that I agree with you. Spirit and Freddy are the worst to play against by far, spirits just random chance and Freddy is so boring. I'd say a close second in terms of boringness is clown, he isn't good, he's just not fun to play against in the slightest

Preach it feels the higher MMR you get the more you're punished if this releases im becoming a Survivor main to be honest its way more enjoyable at high MMR with a good team.
Also its bad when Killers like Hexy of all people are struggling this game isn't MMR ready nor should it ever be tbh LMAO. Knowing Behavior though this will be pushed live they don't listen to feedback nor take it seriously imma laugh when the Killer playerbase starts to dwindle lmao.
With a good team is the keyword I'm afraid. When you aren't with a 4 man SWF some solos can be nightmares and MMR doesn't help that

If it's so called not op then why does every good killer run it???? Do you read your mesgs or are you just that dense? Alot of times you're screwed due to that perk consider when trying to get a single gen done with two survivors left?
Bruh your the moron that can't even write messages without fking up all your grammar and you're calling me dense. Its ironic considering it seems you don't read mine as I established why... Everyone runs it because of the bloodpoint bonus, as I already stated if you spent t minutes reading. It's easy to counter, get in a locker, hide behind a gen etc, the list goes on

It's true. It has been proven time and time again that killers can't win via hooks if the survivors rush gens, you need to slug. So they've nerfed slugging about 4 times since I started playing, WGLF being the latest. It gets people up if the killer turns their back for just a few seconds.
Meanwhile survivors still complain about BBQ.....LOL!
BS, you're just a biased killer main. I don't see many people, even survivors complaining against BBQ and actively argue against their point if they do so to pretend anyone that isn't rank 20 complains about BBQ is a complete baby. You're just bad at the game if you think it's an OP perk

Lmao holding m1 is the most boring thing to do in this game. The only fun part of survivor is chase interaction. Idk why you're assuming I dont play both because you don't like my opinion. Also wow the occasional skill check that must be so exciting for you. But funnily enough, I'm not talking about when you move off a gen, I'm talking about actually doing a gen, boring, more boring than being slugged because more than likely you're directly in the action trying for a pickup.
If you seriously think slugging is bad you have some thinking to do.
######### trying to be facetious at me, the nerve.
I would say the nerve of you, but it's just stupidity here. You don't seem to read my comments and cry about points I already addressed. Slugging CAN be bad but isn't always (if you read that, as I said there is a time and a place). I don't think you understand that when you're on a gen you can get off whenever you want, when you're on the floor you literally can't so yes, it's incredibly ######### boring, especially with how ######### people are in solo Q and that's a fact. I don't play the game to sit still for 2 minutes straight and I don't get how some people like you think that it's fun.

How is it not an op perk? It does two things, guess what if a survivor wants to brink a token building perk that's all those perks do is stack that's it
If you think BBQ and Chilli is OP, you don't know how to play the game. Practically every killer runs it and it's easy to counter

Oh no how dare you do nothing but hold m1 (whilst you recover), that simply can't compare in boredom to any other part of survivor gameplay, oh wait hmm, how funny...
######### please being slugged is no more boring than doing a gen. Survivors just dont like it because it means they are losing.
Fyi I play both survivor and killer I'm not biased just using my brain
I play both, you obviously don't. Do you seriously think the only thing to do is a gen, and yes, even then while gens are boring the skill checks are better than literally ######### all. Gens are shorter, you have to worry about killer pressure and will get forced off into chases (the best part of the game for survivors), you can't try and take hits for teammates or aggro, try for a flash save etc... the list goes on. You literally can't do anything about your situation when being slugged until a teammate helps so yes, it is far more boring.
Fyi, I play survivor and killer I'm not biased, just using my brain

I don't see any issue with slugging tbh, people who say slugging is bad are just going too far. Might as well just let them escape if I can't leave a survivor on the floor. I'll never understand why someone would complain about being given yet another second chance.
Slugging is considered toxic because it's so damn boring. I get there is a time and a place where you should slug but those killers who literally just go out for slugs make the game so incredibly dull as you lie on the ground for 2 minutes waiting for your useless SoloQ teammates to grab you and literally having nothing else to do.

Bruh, BBQ and Chilli isn't OP if that's what you're insinuating. It's still a great perk, but wouldnt be nearly as big in the meta if it wasn't for its bloodpoint boosting ability and while I wish survivors had a similar perk (or that they just removed the bloodpoint boost and increased base bloodpoint gain by a fair amount for both sides) I can't blame anyone for running it. Its just a fun perk that gives you freedom with other killers and their builds with more bloodpoints, what is the issue?

Thought I'd run a nice game of Speed Limiter Billy last week. Threw in the Glenvale offering just to give myself a smaller map--reduce the time it would take me to find survivors.
With 6 seconds left on the lobby timer, two survivors immediately swapped characters to ones holding keys.
---
I had queued up for killer with the mindset that I didn't care how the match would end. If the survivors gave me a good enough run-around I might have even let them all escape intentionally. I just wanted to practice curves.
But when these survivors key-swapped they threw down the gauntlet. What they did was the equivalent of saying "at least two of us are escaping, and theres nothing you can do about it." ...and I just couldn't let that happen.
SWFs like this are not looking to play ball, and they sure as hell don't care if I have a fun game. So why should I ensure the same for them?
---
The health of this game, and its community, seems to ride on unspoken agreements that players will always keep the opponent's best interest at heart--or at least in mind. But thats just not good enough.
I hope BHVR continues to assess the balancing issues in DBD, and that they do not overlook outliers or niche synergies, just because they are seen so infrequently. It is not too noble a goal to prevent even the most infrequent of circumstances from ruining a players' experience.
Honestly as a survivor I was so happy when Moris were nerfed but even I was pretty pissed that they didn't bring keys down a couple of notches. I don't know why they even exist as they remove endgame tension, end the game early or just result in a facecamp. It just isn't a good mechanic and they should really be reworked, I'm not sure what it would take to balance them but man, they are one of the 'fun for nobody' aspects in this game. The only way I can remotely see them being fun is bringing one so a killer tunnels you so you get to be chased half the time but even that is unreliable and you may as well just bring a green key

For a second I thought this was a troll post, but it dovetails into another issue.
It's not the immersion part, it's the borderline holding the game hostage part.
I said it before, and I will say it again: the game needs a hard time limit, at which time the Entity takes out every Survivor like the EGC.
I semi agree, but then the balance may sway the opposite way and just make killers incredibly patrolly and focus less on chases and more on keeping the game going for ages (i.e. forcing a 3 gen which can be pretty impossible to get rid of in SoloQ) so I'm not sure if this is the way to fix it but man, playing immersed is the most boring ######### and idk why people do it

That's how any community is, not just DbD. This one is just more apparent because of the inherent "Us vs Them" nature of the game. And yes, SWF is a strategy. Some killers view it as toxic, while others don't. Just like there are survivors who see camping, tunneling, and slugging as toxic, and some don't.
I'm sorry but any killer who thinks playing SWF is toxic is just #########. You can play toxic in a SWF but most killers pretend 99% of SWF isn't just people playing a casual game with a mate or 2 to wind down in the evening and ######### about being beaten after they get outplayed. Happens on both sides but I swear, people talk about entitled survivor mains but the amount of killers that think they deserve a 4k every game when they can't mindgame or do anything decent to outplay the survivors is just funny.
Edit: And no, SWF isn't a strategy, it's almost always just friends casually playing together and half the time playing overly altruistic to their own demise rather than benefit

I like the idea of perks that encourage various playstyles, but given the amount of perks that already exist to punish tunneling and camping, I would rather a perk that helps mitigate the insanely overpowered and fun-destroying anti-m1, hold-W, slam-gen, insadrop-pallet playstyle. I don't even know what kind of perk would fix that without making Nurse and Spirit even more OP though, I just with it existed.
I'm sorry but if you think instadropping pallets is OP then you are playing the game wrong. Genrushing can be hard when a good survivor loops you well but it is rarely advantageous for survivors to instadrop pallets

Steps to reprouce: Down 2 survivors next to each other. Equip one with Tenacity and the other without it. Compare crawling speeds.
How often does this occur: Every game
EDIT: Video attached
The other day I got downed by the gates as I was running out and was shocked I managed to crawl free, I was wondering why my crawling was so much speedier

Most of these replies are "But survivors would never get queues". Not everyone wants to play against a team of friends, as the game isn't supposed to have voice comms. Just do KYF if you can't get queues 💁♂️. And for anyone calling non swf "easy mode", the game isn't even balanced around SWF.
Yeah, the game isn't balanced around SWF my ass. Look at the survival stats, they prove you wrong. Also you ever heard of the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few. Not everyone's gonna stop playing because you cry every time you lose a game. You would be the one punished by bad queue times if that was the case and it's no where near as fun if the killer can hear you. The uncertainty of what the killer is gonna do is the fun of it, going against new players. It's a multiplayer game, just because you have no friends to play with doesn't mean you should try to take it out on the rest of us. Maybe if you spent half the time playing dbd than you do right now you can get some friends that would play with you, though I believe you will need to improve your social skills first and learn how to integrate into normal society without blaming your failures on everyone else

Increase them? [BAD WORD] off! Bruh, it can sometimes be annoying when someone disconnects, especially on your team but man, this game isn't competetive. There have been so many cases where I've been playing with friends and we are getting finally hooked and one of them can't be bothered to play anymore or have a brief moment of rage and alt f4. Sorry dude, but I don't think you understand how many people play against SWF. This idea would create seperate queue times and screw people over, it is incredibly dumb and shouldn't even be talked about

After using this forum for some time the amount of killer bias here is insane. Any thing that even slightly benefits survivors is looked down upon. I think the main reason for this bias is do to the fact that in the past survivors were op but nowadays they arent that strong.
But because of the effects of 2016-rarly 2018 real survivor problems are ignored and that's not good. If we continue to ignore problems survivors face the player base will decline and the killer wait times will increase and inevitably the game will die.
Killer mains stop looking at survivors as someone out to ruin your game and look st them as a human wanting to have fun playing too.
I'm tired of the us vs them mentality why cant it be just "us." Why can't we look at all the problems as a whole and work to fix them. I ask killer mains and survivor mains alike play the opposite side and get good at it try to understand their struggles.
For you killer mains that say survivor is op go plag solo survivor at rank 1 and ask yourself do you want to play swf or that. For you survivor mains that think killer is op go play wraith on ormond and ask yourself is this even fair.
You guys know moris and keys right? Yeah they are both broken they both need reworks. The point I'm trying to make is that we need to get together and combine the community rather than divide and only then will dbd improve its health.
It's 100% true and I know one massive factor. Survivors are normally quite casual, most people (not all) that play survivor play it with friends for a laugh. Killers however aren't playing with friends so they are more likely to tryhard and get mad at the game rather than laughing it off with a few friends. It's often seen as a far more competetive game by the killers imo

SWF isn't Overpowered. It's just that solo survivors are underpowered

I'm not the best killer out there and I admit to it, I used to be a survivor main. But there's a thick border between being downright outplayed and being blinded and tbagged for half the match, it just makes me feel like a terrible killer and really want go back to playing survivor for 10 matches before getting into it again.
Please, just stop me from experiencing these matches, I'll be really grateful and I'm sure many others will :(
What an awful idea, this game is only fun for survivor if you are playing with friends. Imagine how long the queue times would be for survivor groups if 95% of killers couldn't go against them. Terrible idea

It's also why camaraderie is one of the most underrated perks in the game as if you're trying to get someone out quickly it delays that for a short time.
EDIT: I could go into how DS just denies the most efficient way of playing with no skill involved, but that's a different discussion.
You obviously haven't played survivor if you think thats a good perk. It's utterly #########. Also you need to learn how to play against DS, I think it needs changes but it denies lack of skill on the killers behalf for the most point. If you are playing to win, which I am, tunneling makes sense. By removing a link, you are making the rest of the survivors do more work, which makes patrolling gens more succesful. By tunneling someone out of the match you are making mid to late game much easier. I don't think it's the nicest strategy, but if you play to win that isn't an issue. I guarantee that person you refused to tunnel isn't going to care if you have fun, they want to win as well. It's a free for all. That's why I'm ok with scummy tactics on both sides. And I never play survivor. If you want to bodyblock, flashlight spam, or the like go ahead. We're all trying to win in the end.
Well, I get that it helps you win but A) I don't see how it's fun for you, just the winning part of it's incredibly boring just waiting for someone to get hooked then repeatedly tunneling
B) Treat others how you want to be treated (to an extent), that doesn't mean let them win all the time but I don't like to play as a toxic ######### because I hate it when people play like it against me...

Survivor, moreso solo, just seems very frustrating and boring compared to killer. The only thing that seems to be fun about playing survivor is being chased but after a few matches I just can't deal with bad teammates giving me a headache or just sitting on gens anymore and I go back to killer.
As a killer, however, YOU are the action. You get to be the one chasing the survivors. As a survivor only one person gets to have the killers attention at a time otherwise the best thing for you to be doing is sitting on gens, but as killer you'll always have someone to be chasing therefore you'll always be in the heat of the action throughout the game. In addition to that; every one of the 20 killers has their own unique ability(s) that you can play around with using different perks and add-ons with some of said killers being fan favorites from classic slasher films yet the majority of the player base are survivors. Not to mention we don't have to worry about dumb teammates screwing us over. As for survivors they're all just different skins with the same basic abilities as all the other survivors. Yes they can customize themselves with perks but most of them opt to run the same things every game anyways.
As for gen speeds yea I'm aware they can be a problem if you're playing a low tier killer and get a bad map or if the survivors are extremely well coordinated but pretty soon we're gonna be getting a boost to our early game to make these things easier to deal with.
Overall I just don't find survivor anywhere near as fun as killer. I can agree that survivor does have its moments where you get to lead the killer on a really long chase but I just find killer to be more fun more often. I'm just saying that I'd like to enjoy survivor as much as I do killer, but maybe there's something I'm missing? Maybe some of you can explain to me what is it that makes you prefer survivor over killer? I'm genuinely curious.
I don't understand how people can enjoy playing a multiple game as killer all the time instead of playing survivor which you can play with friends and have a laugh together in a casual game so to each their own. It's like playing a bad horror game but you get to play it with friends so it's alot more fun, even if it's lost its fear factor many matches are tense. Killers have no tenseness and it feels like playing a repetitive singleplayer game that is just boring when dead by daylight is fun because you play with friends...

Survivor main here: I have seen it happen very occasionally and moreso when I was bad at the game and often when I got downed first, but man, I think he has to understand that it is incredibly rare and you have to be exceptionally bad for that to happen 1/100 games

A lot of scummy tactics have existed in this game for as long as it goes back.
Tunneling was acknowledged and a surge of anti-tunnel perks were created and some have already been here since the beginning.
Decisive Strike, Borrowed Time, Breakdown (regardless of it being an awful perk), Adrenaline and Iron will also function as anti-tunneling perks in desperate need, but we can leave iron will out due to it being probably the most useful overall perk in the game since it helps with many aspects.
Slugging also has it's counters, and a perk even introduced in the last patch.
Unbreakable, Soul Guard, Tenacity, and yes, flip-flop.....
The only effective Anti Gen-Rushing perks we have as of now with no retarded requirements are Pop Goes the weasel and Corrupt Intervention, Corrupt intervention is simple to understand, less gens early game = get a hook with 1 or no gens completed.
Pop, You're rewarded for hooking a person a 25% slowdown to ONE gen. It's actually great since 25% is 20 seconds which is a lot, it's to one gen only, sure. But the more hooks the more you get it. Simple and straight to the point.
Old ruin was passive and had great effect, instead of 3 gens being completed in 80 seconds of the game it would take 100 or 105 seconds, enough to push you off a couple of them or at least 1. Best case scenario survivors actively look for it early-game instead of doing gens.
Here are perks that some survivors might overestimate and mention as anti-genrushing below, but they really aren't...
Thrilling tremors: Blocks what's NOT being worked on, and if you play killer you know this is a tracking perk not a gen slowdown.
New Ruin: Punishes gens NOT being worked on, again if they work it they'll finish it.
"Thanatophobia": Probably the MOST overrated killer perk, assuming you're continiously injuring with it you'll be at 3/4 injured survivors, which is 12% slowdown. 12% slowdown to gen speed is Horrible, adding only 9 seconds, what can you do with 9 seconds? Hook a survivor?
Dying Light: Another overrated perk, and honestly dumb in design. Let's say you get to 7 stacks by deliberately ignoring the obsession, 21% slowdown.
But wait, this 21% slowdown does NOT apply to obsession, so you may think, ok let's just get rid of the obsession!!
Getting rid of the obsession de-activates the perk....
Ok screw it, let him be, I'll just find someone else. But by this dying light only applies to 2 PEOPLE, because you're chasing one of the 3 people it applies for. And the perks already gains its stacks by hooks if you're at 7 stacks by ignoring the obsession you MUST have killed someone by now. So it only applies to 1 person.
12-24% slowdown for 1 or 2 people, is it really worth it?
Surge: Only affects gens in 32m, but let's say you're in 32m, thats 6 extra seconds..... WOW
Dead man's switch: No possiblity for synergy with other perks since blocking gens causes ZERO regression, even if you have new ruin or if you damaged it, survivors must touch and let go after you hook so this only works if you have lots of mobility (Billy or nurse) OR you can intentionally make people let go (doctor or freddy). But these aren't the only 4 killers in the game are they?
Survivors will just get back to the gen after you finish downing the survivor near the gen and finish it while you pick him or her up, in the exact same time he would have if he didn't let go.
NOED: NOED doesn't really counter gen-rushing. But it punishes it. No killer should be forced to run this perk in fear of getting gen-rush matches, and I say this should be a base-kit perk because totems directly become an essential secondary objective
Point is, we need to make changes to counter gen rushing. Implementing more perks for the killers that focus mainly on gen speeds is not what I suggest since killers shouldn't have to rely on a perk (like old ruin), while you're on a cooldown bar spree go for gens too, 40 seconds cooldown between working on 1 gen to the other, you can heal in it, do totems, but just not gens.
My point is that if you get queued against half decent survivors, okay at looping, don't waste time, and know what their main objective is, you're in the shlt.
Idk, I wish they could just change some core aspects of gameplay. I wouldn't consider genrushing a scummy tactic considering there really isn't much else a survivor can do, with tunneling etc killers can go to other survivors but with genrushing you cant really do much else other than stand around like a melon or cleanse totems I guess (which I tend to save throughout the game as I love a bit of inner strength). I have however drifted away from the game in the last few months because it just gets so dull... I tended to be a bit lacking on the generator front and instead go around finding the killer so I could go in some long chases since chases are by far, the most enjoyable aspect of the game for survivors however when killers leave you etc (completely understandable given how the game has been made) I would have nothing else to do besides fixing generators which is incredibly boring. For the first few hours you play DBD fixing generators is actually fun because it's so tense, you have no clue where the killer is and it feels like a huge risk. By the time you get slightly more advanced it just becomes incredibly boring. In my opinion, and I am not a game designer so I don't know how exactly they could go about implementing this, however if gens became a lesser part of the game, perhaps even having their time or numbers needed for completion reduced BUT more objectives were added (We currently only have 2 before we can leave excluding side ones like saving teammates ( 1: Gens 2: Exit gate). If there was some sort of objective in-between gens and the gate it could spice things up a hell of a lot. Again, I'm not denying that finding an idea that would work and then implementing it would take time, but personally I'd rather they spend more time on this and make new killers and survivors less of a focus, at least for a while but then again, they would probably never do that as they can squeeze tons of money out of players from new characters, though changing the gameplay itself would have a much greater impact.

I mean let's talk about what survivors really do in a game: M1 on gen, hold shift and spacebar here and there.
Let's talk now about what a killer have to go through: He has to learn how to use properly is power, he has to learn addon and study them to properly to make his power better and to synergize with perks, he has to practice with said power and when to properly use it. The best killers in the game are actually a 1k hour practice character and a character that totally relies on hears and mindgames: cat hears =yes, no cat hears = NO (I'm deaf and i can't play her AT ALL)
So, i'm really hoping that at some point they will be introducing something that actually make survivors difficult and unique, otherwise this game seriously will never make sense
Dude, as someone who's played both other than a few niche killers survivors have a much higher skill cap, are harder to master and are much more difficult to play. As a survivor alone you are weaker than the killer and slower than the killer therefore you must play very well while looping, which might I add is again, much harder as a survivor. Survivors have much less varied gameplay, that's a straight up fact but survivors require more skill then killers excluding a few like nurse, hands down

Well i don't know how many friends you have but i heard for this cheat and some changes in their behavior is confrming that. Also bunch of people are confrming that it is existing. Now who said i lost those mathces? I never said everyone using it i just said that dcing and conter perks for bait is at rising! As i said i using to bait them but this doesn't change a fact that some survs using to cheat. I like when they waste perk slots and get OoO so that i can track them faster. But on lower ranks killers usually gets bullied by deranking survs and with unfair advantages.
Judging From your comment i can only think that you use it too so that you are trying to lower the numbers or fact that this cheat exist. Ignoring that many here has confirmed the strange behavior and unnatural guess rate for killer counter perks.
Also cheat is cheat if some side can see other then other should see too or they should fix it asap and enable killers ot get their offerings burned in last sec change.
No but it seems like a massive excuse. Like the people that complain because the survivors were good so say it's not their fault, they got unlucky they went against a SWF. If people accept that they make mistakes in-game and it's not always an issue with other survivors then they will actually start getting better

I'm going to say a few things about your points and statements! 🙂
Outdated Statistics
The statistics you used were from November 2019, which as we all know, there's a lot that changed between then and now.
In other words, it's doesn't really do any good to use statistics from when the game have changed a lot from then.
Survivor Skill Curve
Survivors naturally have a higher skill ceiling than the killers and that means it will be very difficult to master them. Therefore, along the way, players will make a lot of mistakes and those mistakes can cost other survivors as well. If one person doesn't know what they are doing, the whole team pays and can potentially lose.
To compensate for Solo Queue and the harsh skill ceil survivors have, I believe it should be balanced around a 60/40 since newer players will skew results.
That's just my two cents on balance, and so far, I'll say this is the closest we ever been to a balanced game! 🙂
Hmm, well that's true but I think it should be balanced around 50/50 at max rank. This can't be well achieved until they actually perfect matchmaking though

Apparently after more and more games as killer against swf that have specific perks and items that heavly counter the killer that i picked. I started picking only trapper and switching it to killer i wan't to play last sec before the game start. Since i started doing that more and more players get in game with nonmeta perks but ususaly with the ones that can counter trapper heavy(OoO as main perk got spike with usage in my games drasticly).
But there is one more problem i if switch to different killer maybe few sec latter and survs sees that they usualy dc in while game is loading. This is not coincidence once or twice i can be, but 5 or 6 times in a row can not be coincidence! Not to mettion that more and more dcing in the loading phase when i switch killer last sec.
Also offerings that i have on other killers when i switch them in the lock phase do not get burned.
So questions for devs:
1) Since you have servers does surv players have excess to them so that they can see killer in the lobby? If so why killer can't see their perks? And will you punish that kind of cheating?
2) Since players that play killers can't get their offerings burned when they switch killers last second in order to avoid cheating advantage, will you fix that or killers are doomed to play without offerings for now on?
I'm pretty sure you overestimate the amount of people using things like that as if to counter the fact that you lost a match. I've played with loads of survivors and friends, spoken to a bunch of them but not once have I ever heard of this app. I'm not too surprised it exists but I think the amount of people using it is likely less than 5%

Because it is fun for them. You are locked in an animation and cannot counter it so that means fun for them.
However, oh goodness if killer can do something they cannot counter oh my the game needs to be changed.
Cry some more why don't you. It's already been explained that this is ineffective and is bad for the survivors. I guarantee you no one would complain if there was a similar killer mechanic that BENEFITTED then on the survivor side

@GhostMaceNotCrusty said:
Well if u have something like quick & quiet you can vault a window and potentially escape but let's be honest, it's just to be toxic
Ha no, it's not just to be toxic. Most survivors just don't know how to use flashlights effectively. Most of my friends do this and I try to explain its inefficient however when they do it, its more out of lack of gamesense, not everything made to be toxic and many survivor mains haven't played enough killer to realise how ineffective it is
-
It's funny how the forums are just a cesspool of crying killers now. Oh no, I'm going cry and get upvotes from people crying with me. Waaa, I'm going to cry about their perks even though I'm using toxic perks as well ;(
Oh no, survivor bad, op perks, matchmaking bad, I'm so sad waaa WHY CANT I JUST TUNNEL THEM, ######### DS MAN, ITS SO UNFAIR, IT FORCES ME TO PLAY PROPERLY GRR IM ANGRY RAAA

Ah yes, let's buff a meta perk that allows people to get free unhooks and gen progress without much risk.
Doesn't need a buff but it does need a rework. Like a 15 second timer that doesn't tick down while being chased (and can't be manipulated) then if the killer downs you the timer also pauses until you get picked up or rescued to avoid slugging but also avoid the problem of survivors using it after a long time

@BubbaMain64 said:
They don't want to balance potentially strong perks. Instead of making the game interesting they keep the current meta so they don't have to worry about balancing anything.
Shame because the current meta is unbalanced as hell. A few perks on either side stay meta and the bottom of the barrel perks that literally no one uses just get kicked to the wayside. Hell, they even acknowledge this by having certain perks higher rarities than others for some bizzare reason. It's ashame that they always focus on new killers to make a quick buck rather then dedicating a few months to balance and bug fixing

if you are talking about BBQ and Chili, then I will also say survivors have the exact same idea in We're going to live forever. this can give you 100% more blood points just like BBQ does. so you want more points, dedicate a perk slot to it, don't try to make it out to being that you don't have anything like it. nice try, also killers do not get more blood points than survivors i've seen survivors get 28-32K bps when the killer only got 20K or even less. If you come out and say well that's not the norm, I'll inform you that killers do not always get more than the survivors. and generally when the killer and survivors are evenly matched, the killers fall in the middle of most survivor groups. so two survivors are above and two below the killer in points. Now if you get a killer that has the skill of a rank 8 versus a group of rank 16's, YES the killers are going to smash the survivors.and when you get a group of survivors that are the skill of a rank 8 versus a killer rank 16, the survivors are going to smash the killer and they might be lucky to pull 12K!
######### me, you've obviously never spend any amount of time as a survivor. We get WAY less base blood points without perks in mind and we are going to live forever sucks. I mainly play survivor now but I use to play alot of killer and BBQ would be on every build of mine because not only are you almost guaranteed double bloodpoints (unlike we're gonna live forever because other teammates will take unhooks etc) but it gives you a great side bonus of seeing through walls after hooking someone temporarily which makes it alot easier to get the domino effect and get another down immediately after. We are going to live forever down right sucks.
I'll be honest, I'd have likely used BBQ and Chilli if it didn't have that bloodpoint bonus.
I've used We are going to live forever before but it still doesn't give you nearly as many bloodpoints as a killer. When I played killer I could easily afford to bring good addons every single match but now I'm a survivor (and I'm not terrible since I make it to rank 1 while playing casually) and I am conservative of the add-ons I bring, hell even before the change I was much more conservative of them then I was before. Ace of the hole has been ruined by this as the best part about it was sharing items with your teammates who now don't get to keep the add-ons you give them. Its as simple as that. I've went against killers that have got 0 kills but they still get more points and thus base bloodpoints than a survivor and guess what, that isn't rare at all. It just takes a little bit of perspective and playing on both sides to realise how many more bloodpoints you earn as a killer and thus how much easier it is to keep good addons and use green add-ons every single game.

There isn't really a ton of different between a rank 1 killer and a rank 9 killer. Seeing as we're a couple of days after the reset. I'm going to assume it's just the first time you've had to play DBD since reset. Meaning you're probably normally a red rank killer or at least in purple ranks and really close. There's nothing wrong with expecting a rank 5 killer to face rank 1 survivors.
Matchmaking is broken. But it's not really that big of a deal. You got 30 k points in that game and were plenty competitive. So I don't understand why having a competitive game is a bad thing.
@KayK99 said:
So yeah, when is matchmaking gonna be fixed? Before 2077 maybe? It can't be that I as a rank 9 killer have to play against these Toxic SWF that aren't even playing but just want to make DbD a bully simulator. No wonder I always find a lobby as killer right away and wait as survivor for god knows how long, because nobody wants to deal with that toxic #########. Have the Devs play their own game, but that's probably what they're scared of, or they only play KYF.
How about you make it so that each rank can only play with the same and one above? There are literally rank 20 killers getting harassed by these bully squads.
So red with red and purple, purple with purple and green, green with green and yellow, and so on.
Alright, I'm done crying about it. Guess I'll just have to play Bubba, do some basement camping with an ebony mori in hand.
Enjoy your day, lads :)
I agree with the guy that said there isn't much difference between ranks, I got to rank 1 but I'm not a pro or anything. The game has tons of flaws and the developers would rather hide ranks and pretend they've fixed it while they spend all their resources on a mobile cash grab when the base game hasn't been fixed. That being said it doesn't mean you need to take it out on the survivors, its not only killers that experience the brokenness of this game and by basement camping with an ebony Mori you're making the game more toxic and spreading it. Someone is much more likely to be toxic in their next game if they get facecamped by a Mori weilder

Yes, if you die you keep the add-ons, but if you escape you lose the add-ons, even though White Ward description suggests you should keep it in either case. I've tested this myself.
It should protect them either way. It's honestly stupid that the only way to protect them from loss if you escape is to use Ace In The Hole.
In fact it's stupid you lose them at all if you escape. If you have charges left on the item, you should keep your add-ons. It's not like killer add-ons where you can easily replenish them after each game. Killers have 20 add-ons. Survivors have 55, plus 18 items, for a total of 73 possible bloodweb objects. I could easily play every game of Spirit with Mother Daughter Ring and Yakuyoke Amulet if I were to dump BP back into Spirit after each game. It would be IMPOSSIBLE to play with an Emergency Medkit with Gel Dressing and Gauze Rolls every game, especially because you earn way less BP as survivor.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1219070#Comment_1219070
Wiki is outdated. Check the description in the game.
Yes, they did it to 'bring it more in line with killers' but not only do killers get more bloodpoints in general but one of their primary perks give you 2x bloodpoints so the average killer gets more than 2x bloodpoints that a survivor gets. It was a stupid change that they should never have done because its stupid. If they want less addons balance the bloodweb, dont take them from us
-
Not only does the description falsely advertise it in its current state but at the very least I think we can all agree that its stupid to punish you if you survive but reward you if you die.
Do you guys agree with me in this aspect, whether its intended or not its completely ridiculous and if the devs claim its intended either whoever thought of it has no sense of balance (i wouldnt be surprised judging by half the stuff in the game) or they are being lazy and just pretending its a feature.
-
I guess its just the Devs using the classic case of: Its not a bug, its a feature
