I'd like to address the small factor of All-Kill never had an 'official' release date, and even the leaks said 'subject to change.'
For once, I don't think BHVR should get any 'blame.' It's not their fault that people got hyped for a totally ordinary day with no reasoning other than something totally unofficial.
Also, would y'all really prefer it to be pushed out a week early and be like the twins? I'd like to address several perks of the last chapter didn't function at all upon release.
-
There was an error rendering this rich post.
-
Correction, traps can spawn inside objects on all maps, I just got one on Lery's in a generator
-
heres one for ya, Black ward doesnt preserve addons on twins

or we could not have a god loop with a pre-dropped pallet to begin with. How about just remove the wall and no god loop at all since those are bad for the game and just make the killer either waste their time now or lose a chase later.
You didn't put the 8, so I, a random person was dragged in ;-;
-
I'm sorry to tell you this, but you are technically wrong. It is a strategy, just not an effective or original one. And it has a goal in mind, since the killer's goal is to kill, and it does almost ensure a kill. Same with Noed, albeit more effective. I agree both are kinda scummy ######### things to do tho
-
Yeesh, that actually sounds really bad. In NA the servers seem as fine as they always have been, in other words far from perfect, but damn they sound awful in EU. Usually I overlook this stuff cuz, y'know lots of stuff on the forums tends to be entitled players whining about the other side, but that sounds really sucky, hopefully it gets better

K, hun, see ya next week

You know, one thing I never, ever see mentioned is how survivors thank you after the match. I play Trapper/Myers a lot and it's not uncommon to see names like Chokememyers or some variation pop up in my lobbies. (this moderately/tremendously increases my chances of running tombstone/tuft btw)
I get this a lot too. Yeah you get the occasional "gg" but when it's just PC players all playing together having a good time ya'll are a flirty bunch. It's like you survivors enjoy getting spanked, picked up and penetrated (on a hook). No wonder survivor is so popular.
The next killer is just gonna be an old, normal guy with a water hose that sprays you with cold water.
...now queue back up.
Raise your hand if you feel like this is a direct attack on you

These are sort of my issues with it. I don't think DS should Deactivate upon touching a generator or healing or anything. Instead, as long as you are doing that action, the timer should tick down twice as fast. That way, if a killer from across the map runs back to the survivor, it if they want to stop a gen from regressing, they aren't punished.
His Noed is way too weak to be a hex perk. Either remove hex from its title, or make it significantly stronger than what he suggested.
Undying I'd say is too new to make a solid decision on, one way or the other. Its like devour, sometimes it's super useful, other times, it's cleansed in the first three seconds. Ruin is annoying, yes. But it doesn't make the game unplayable without it. Undying properly deals with all totems that have a great impact on gameplay, ie devour, lullaby, etc.
-
I feel like this is even worse now, cuz instead of being able to get through exhaustion half way through the gen, survivors can now prime their sprint burst to use mid chase by walking to a gen, and that is so much worse imo. I'd rather just have them use it and it's gone for the rest of the chase instead of chase them, get a pallet thrown at you, survivor runs to other side of the map

Oh man.
It's gotten worse on pc too. Before the update I could comfortably play on max settings with really great fps. Now I have to play on low/medium and hope my graphic card doesn't melt.
Same, but I used to play on low settings, and even now it's almost unplayable
-
Personally, I feel like this is an awful idea. First of all, there are so many more pressing issues that need to be resolved first.
Secondly, this suggests removing and reworking the main mechanic of the game. I feel like I should emphasize this, the legion skin for the community contest would have an animated mask, but bhvr said that couldn't be done. That would change texture, which is simpler than for example Oni who changes his entire model. It also clearly couldn't be that difficult, as yandere dev, also known as internet's worst game dev implemented that on a science club guy. If bhvr 'can't do that' I wouldn't be too confident in changing some of the base game's code without massively messing something up.
Lastly, almost all of the game mechanics revolve around hooks, so removing them would have them to have to rework almost everything in the game. Things from flashlights, to BBQ and DS, to deliverance and luck, and what about cages of atonement. Downed survivors disappear, making pyramid head lose half his power, along side pig, who can't put bear traps on heads. Even hag would be majorly nerfed, and as it is, the game is in survivor favor. Killers would still be able to tunnel really easily, as the respawns can only have so many set points, so people like nurse, billy, and spirit would still be super broken cuz they could patrol all respawn points

Sorry Mandy, but It's definitely possible to do that. Yandere dev added a guy with special glasses that can express his emotions at any moment. Even the newbie developer can do that.
You just made a professional team look worse than yandere dev 🤣🤣🤣
-
So, firstly, you seemed kinda aggressive in the original post, and some of the comments. If you want people to do something, try and use a more respectful tone,
Secondly, there are way too many bugs to just avoid them all so saying a specific one isn't too helpful, as some have mentioned, iron will is bugged, aswell as totems on remade badham and ds, etc.
Thirdly, sadly people won't be banned for using this exploit, unless devs put something out about it until it's fixed, prime examples old legion and his blade addons (infini-mend)
Lastly, personal opinion, I feel like they shouldn't say don't use ash as he's a pay for only dlc so if people got it, they should be able to use it, and they should instead prioritize fixing it, badham totems, and the hill as two are game breaking bugs, and the other is something that they can't really say, hey stop doing that until we get around to it for the 6th anniversary
-
Imma compare him to legion, legion is my favorite killer, and blight is legion and billy's love child with downing potential. If you want something to be offended by, wait till someone compares him to clown
-
@MrLimonka Same for me, but in addition to that, the compendium is bugged and doesn't always show the right lore entries. What's really weird about it is that it switches which tomes have the problem, but today, Tome 1 and Tome 3 showed Tome 4's entries, and Tome 2 and Tome 4 showed their respective entries.
(Also PC / Steam)

Umm, the only thing you should be complaining about with these screenshots are the yellow survivors,
You are within 6 ranks of the killer, so it's actually working as intended. If you can't stand being high rank, I recommend focusing your games on the archives, because it's quite fun to play that way, and for the most part, you'll rank down slowly
-
I don't lobby dodge like ever, but I'm a completionist so I'm tempted to lobby dodge to get the different bubba masks since I need to verse Claudette, Jake, Meg, or Dwight to even get a little progress
-
As someone who mains gf, legion, and wraith, all I can say is ;-;
-
Personally, I have fun when I'm focusing exclusively on an archive challenge that isn't something I normally do, and can run a build to support myself to get the mission. I love the lore, and much prefer collecting it to just mindless "gens gens gens, loop loop loop, unhook, gens, loop, DS, adrenaline, gate,"
-
@RakimSockem said:
Ummmm, your post makes no sense.
You want a killer buff because killers get instance lobbies??? That just means more people are playing survivor. That has nothing to do with strength
Although I agree with you that killer should not get a huge buff, I also think what they are saying makes sense. If killer is buffed, more people will want to play killer, or if survivor is nerfed, less people will want to play survivor. Both sides could probably use a few tweaks, but neither side as a whole really needs a huge buff or nerf (as a whole is referring to killers like clown who need something to improve them)

Yesterday I was playing as Pig and while crouched I noticed a scratch mark and so I thought I would be smart and scare the survivor near a gen that was barely touched, so I go through a pallet and BAM! This Blendette stuns me and I nearly dropped my coffee. 😂 I was like “killer?? Where?!?” Was the funniest match I’ve had in a while.
As a survivor main who plays killer for archives, way too often. Literally, every game I play killer, that happens. ;-;

What people don't understand is that most logical people know better than to get way too frustrated at a game and will instead play to have fun either by themselves or with friends and don't care about winning or losing. If they get frustrated, they decide to TAKE A BREAK instead of CONTINUING PLAYING AND GETTING MORE FRUSTRATED

I struggle to see these auras and I have no issues with my sight, I can only imagine how difficult it must be for people who are colourblind. They definitely need to increase the saturation of the new auras at the absolute minimum.
As someone who was diagnosed legally blind at 4, yeh it ain't fun

@Hippie said:
I actually like the new auras better than the old, because they seem more appropriate. Immersive, too. I play on High graphics and I can see them just fine, and they're not as jarring as the super brightly-colored old auras. I like to use Windows of Opportunity a lot, so I'll have to see how they look with that, but judging by the generator aura I'm sure they'll be fine as well.
I think people will be fine with the new auras once they get used to them (and quit complaining about them, just enjoy the game).

I don't play killer often, but they are so much worse on that side. I have really bad eyesight so I could barely see the old auras, but now, I'm doomed If I ever want to play killer. However, I do agree that eventually people will get used to it, though colorblind people have issues, and so do people who can't run the game on high/ultra. But I find it funny how a lot of the comments here are long the lines of "Oh, imma uninstall cause it's impossible to play, and killers get nerf after nerf, and survivors op, just remove the exit gates, and make teabagging bannable and blah blah blah my killer main is showing". They are just overreacting a little bit

I believe the devs are working as hard as they can to place the penalty back. Recently, there were intances where people were getting penalized without DCing, therefor they cannot place it back without fixing that first. I agree with you that that is a dirty tactic, and I hope the devs implement it back soon, as majority of my games are survivors DCing to give the other hatch, or just DCing to deny me points.
Yeah, some people hacked the system and were sending out penalties of ridiculous amounts of time. Hopefully it'll be fixed soon

^^^ This. So much this.
Another reason that people are so miffed about the Linked cosmetics idea is purely because there's not enough content out there to make an accurate assessment of the feature with truly unbiased fair critique. Everyone is angry at a new system that has hardly seen much use yet
What I'm saying is that we've actually yet to see what the devs have planned for what they want to do with the linked cosmetic sets and we're only just now starting to see what plans they have for the feature. The Minotaur Oni is a PERFECT example of this, and I don't think anyone will deny this looks absolutely badass:

https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/AUP4SHT2U04X/image.png
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/R1A9MUVWFID0/image.png
(EDIT: I'm a Goddamn Genius with these screenshots...)
This kind of thing only scratches the SURFACE of the potential linked cosmetics have, I haven't even touched on the fact that legendary linked skins open up so many doors with in terms of licenses. Characters we might never get to see as a full chapter, or just didn't have a chance to see because other characters were selected may now be perfectly viable options to get in the game.
Robin could be a legendary linked skin for Nancy, Billy could be a legendary linked skin for Steve, Detective Eric Matthews from SAW could be a legendary for Detective Tapp. Hell we may unfortunately never see an F13 chapter because of the lawsuit which concerns only the first movie, but we could very well see any of his appearances from the subsequent sequels as legendary skins for Trapper. Who knows
All I'm saying is give it a bit more time before people continue to jump hard on linked cosmetics before you've even given the devs a chance to see what they could really do with the feature. More likely than not, the best is yet to come.
One thing I wonder with the killers is if they will retexture their powers, because if they make a Xenomorph Demogorgon, they could retexture the portals to vents

@Swiftblade131 said:
Why link everything together?
Half the fun with cosmetics is mixing and matching... Why not simply unlink, and make it, so if you have any part of the "Legendary" cosmetic attached to your character, head, body, or weapon, you have the animation change?
Ok, I'll explain this in two ways for each of the possible things you mean.
First, legendary skins are the linked skins that change the character, their body structure, and animation such as Lisa Garland, and the Minotaur.
Second are linked skins, they give the character new outfit, but it can only be worn in full.
Legendary skins are linked for what I feel are obvious reasons, for example, not having a man's head on a woman's body, or vice versa. These may also be for licensing reasons of being able to add more characters from previous chapters, ex stranger things Robin, Johnathan, hopper, Joyce, L4D Zoey, Francis, Xenomorph as Demogorgon or even a fix for Quentin.
The linked skins are what people normally have a problem with, being the cosmetics for characters that aren't legendary, but are stuck together anyways, such as the newest Nea, Jeff, Clown, Jane and silent hill characters outfits, and the reason behind those are so they can make cosmetics that they otherwise wouldn't be able to make, for example, Neas hood on the graffiti outfit, or Jane's full body dress. My solution to the issue of everyone hating those being linked is to only link what needs to be linked and let the last part go, so Nea's pants, or Jane's head, or heck Moonrise and Bunny Feng's head and legs respectively. A reason for these may also be because of licenses wanting to keep their characters looking a specific way, and not wanting their likeness being mixed with their several outfits.
On a side note, I wish they made a goddess outfit for Kate, and made a Medusa hag for the Greek set. Wouldn't that have been sick?
Well, imma go waste money on goddess Feng, c'yall later

@KingFrost said:
They shouldn't increase the time. That's incredibly unfair to people who experience issues with the game outside of their control. Instead, I think players should receive reputations, and if you DC too often, you get a bad reputation and get put in a type of bad sport lobby. You stay there until your reputation improves. DC penalties give up to 1 hour of timeout. Reputation would be based mainly on how often you disconnect from matches vs how often you finish matches.
That would be a great idea, though certain things should increase your reputation as opposed to just time, for example, you start at a reputation of 100, you DC 6 times and now have a reputation of 40, by Leaving a lobby after death, you gain 1 Reputation, by leaving after surviving a match, you gain 2 reputation. By leaving after the trial ends if you were dead earlier, you gain 5. By saying gg, you get 1. If you don't struggle at all, you lose 5 Basically, any actions that are considered good sportsmanship give you a small amount of +rep points, and any actions considered bad sportsmanship, you get a larger amount of -rep points. The only downside I can see is how it would effect matchmaking

Hmm, I knew people hated the indoor maps like Hawkins and Midwich, aswell as HaddonField, swamp, red forest, and corn maps, but I never knew people didn't like Ormond or shelter woods, and I thought more people hated the meat plant, lerys, and Yamaoka estate. I also thought the bottleneck maps like azarovs were unanimously hated for how easy it is to get 3 genned.

Here's the counterplay for all the killers, coming from a killer main:
- Trapper: Watch your feet, stay out of tall grass when not in a chase
- Billy: Look behind you, avoid taking paths that force you into a straight line
- Wraith: Use your eyes instead of your ears, or run Spine Chill
- Nurse: Break LOS, run in a straight line when she isnt charging a blink(she's slower than you at base)
- Myers: Break LOS as much as possible, delay him tiering up for as long as you can. Myers captilalizes on bad teams much more than most killers, so keep that in mind. Don't rely on the post-hit speed boost as he might have T3 at 99%
- Huntress: Break LOS, be careful about dropping pallets/vaulting when she has hatchets
- Hag: Watch your feet, crouch over traps to avoid triggering them, a flashlight will reveal/destroy them
- Doctor: Lockers are your friends, stay out of his terror radius or get in a locker if 60 seconds have passed since his last shock blast. Drop the pallet/vault a bit earlier to counter the shock
- Clown: Drop the pallet early if he gasses you, theres plenty to go around thanks to his nonexistant map pressure
- Freddy: Stay awake as much as possible, either by skill checks(risky) or going to a clock(safer, plus gives a 30 second grace period). Drop dream pallets/break dream snares as you travel to weaken his control, drop the pallet early if he drops snares mid-chase
- Legion: Spilt up, his power is much weaker if he cant hit all of you. Don't forget to mend
- Bubba: Use windows as much as possible, as he can't break them. If somebody gets hooked in the basement, they are to be considered lost and you should rush the gens.
- Pig: Use your eyes or run spine chill to detect her in crouch, watch out for her roar. The trap is entirely harmless until a gen pops, so theres plenty of time to get it off. It also pauses the timer in a chase or on the ground
- Plague: Depends on your looping abilty. If you are good at running an M1 killer around, dont bother cleansing, UNLESS the other survivors cleanse. Keep in mind that if all the pools get corrupted, they all get cleaned and the plague gets nothing
- Ghostface: Again, use your eyes. Don't rely on the TR or Red Stain, and don't bother with Revealing him. Just run as fast and far as possible, he has no mobility.
- Demogorgon: Literally use your ears, every single one of his actions have a global audio queue. Remember to look behind you to see if his face is opening to juke a shred. NEVER vault a window if the Demo's face is open, you WILL get hit if they are good. Rememeber that while you are in contact with an open portal, you will not hear the Demogorgon's Terror Radius.
- Oni: Heal as soon as possible, preferably somewhere far away from objectives so the Oni won't have easy access to the resulting blood orbs. NEVER do a gen while injured, you will make the Oni's job FAR easier
- Deathslinger: Use your eyes instead of your ears, his TR is microscopic, especially since any good Slinger will have Monitor. Avoid going in a straight line, look behind you, and drop the pallet early
- Pyramid Head: Mixture of Hag and Demo. His trails are harmless if you crouch over them, and his M2 is easily dodged if you look behind you. Avoid dropping pallets or vaulting windows if his sword is in the ground. Also keep in mind that Torment has no effect on normal gameplay. The only downsides are leaving a short-lived trail whenever you move, and being able to be caged/morid on death hook. Most PHs will not cage unless its late game due to removing the possiblity of saving the third hook, along with not being able to see cages.
One thing, you missed Spirit. Her counterplay is iron will. And it sucks that you need a perk for her, but atleast it's not a bad perk like calm spirit which is only good against doctor

Ptb comes out, Killers complain Hillbilly is weak, survivors complain Leatherface is strong. Not shocked at all which one gets listened to and which one gets ignored.
Now they finally nerf Hillbilly and not only are they caving to killer main pressure yet again and giving them their ez mode killer back, but Peanits just said addons could change too so yay for a new version of instasaw which is what Hillbilly players want deep down.
I’m not even surprised anymore. The killer main community on here has the company wrapped around their little finger yet they act like they’re persecuted everytime they don’t get exactly what they want.
Ummm you realize that for one, not all Killer mains are like the OP right. That's like saying all children are overly entitled little pieces of ######### that whine and cause a scene when they don't get what they want
For two, have you read any of new Billy addons. They are absolutely garbage.
For three, you should be thankful that the devs are doing it the way they are. The game is heavily survivor sided, so they could choose to increase gen time drastically to make weaker killers stand a chance, or they could remove most loops on the map for the same outcome, where the stronger killers would almost always wreck all the survivors, but no, instead they are buffing the weaker killers, and nerfing the better ones so that all the killers are around the same balanced point to verse survivors.
The game still plays the same for survivor so why are you complaining. You don't have longer gen times, or less loops, so stop whining about quality of life changes to the killers to make them playable and able to stand a chance

Well then it would be smarter to mention it in the post instead of making it look like you only made the rev heating change
It would be smarter to be thankful for what you get, instead of what you didn't. If everyone was always so rude about the things they didn't get or in this case weren't sure if they got, I wouldn't listen if I were the devs. In fact, I wouldn't blame them if they stopped listening to criticisms at all. Thankfully, only a small part of the community complains about what they do get, and thankfully, the devs care about the game and community. Sadly, no matter what they do, someone will not be happy, but that's to be expected in a competitive game, but what sucks is when they do something someone wants, and they still get backlash from that person or group.
-
My suggestion to fix queue times would be to have a Trial period of survivor voice chat and text chat, allowing the game to be balance-able around SWF that way killers have more power and want to play, or survivors have people they are playing with and would want to play. Just an idea to try, though personally I prefer playing solo queue as either my friends don't play, or they absolutely suck and I try to carry them. Never played on a good SWF before so who knows, that idea could be the worst thing ever lol

While some people would like it, I don't see how the character's powers (and in Spirit's case, her animations) would make sense with their "human look". Plague vomiting all over the place and spewing red puke wouldn't make sense if she were in pre-Plague form... and Spirit creaking and twisting around wouldn't make sense at all, not to mention her facial animations.
I don't think Killers are supposed to be good-looking and attractive... except for Pyramid Head 😏
Yeah Daddy pyramid Head, harder harder.... Uhh you saw nothing
On a side note, legendary skins get unique animations. If these were to happen, Rin probably wouldn't be twisting and contorting. Adiris vomiting everywhere wouldn't entirely make sense, but she could really have any stomach bug to be honest.
On an entirely unrelated note I feel like it would be great to make April fool's legendary skins that for example switch the trapper and hags player models, so the hag sets bear traps and the trapper sets Phantasm traps. Better example could be Billy and Bubba, but bubba is licensed.
I also want an Oni legendary skin for Rins father

No, that does not make sense either cuz it can spawn in shack even though basement can be there. They must have changed it for the new map, though I'm not sure if it can spawn on the second floor

I am pretty sure that is the crossplay code bugging out, if I remember correctly, crossplay was brought up a lot when this was temporarily happening on PC and then again on console, so my guess is that they are adding in the crossplay code from the other platforms and are going to adjust it, which means crossplay is coming in the foreseeable future, (my guess is before the end of the year [December 2020], but definitely before the end of the fourth year {June 2020 to June 2021})

The way the hatch works is that is has a set location at the very start of the game, but won't appear unless a) 1 survivor remains in the trial, or b) the number of generators completed is equal to or greater than the number of players still in the trial (Players, not survivors). In addition, the hatch cannot open unless either one survivor is in the trial, or if the hatch has been interacted with while using a dull or skeleton key but this only opens it temporarily. Lastly, the hatch can be closed by the killer to power the exit gates and start the End Game Collapse. The only perk to interact with the hatch is Left Behind, which shows the hatch's aura within a certain range if you are the last survivor. And that's all there is to know about the hatch. =D
Also, the only real rule to it's spawn location is that it can only spawn on the main floor of a level, or in basements that aren't THE basement. It cannot spawn upstairs on any map including the game. Specified because the exit gates are on the second level, but the hatch cannot be up there
