I just had a trial where I turned a 1k into a 3k thanks to NOED because survivors tend to stick around with it in play. I was playing Oni, brought DH, MYC, NOED, NC, because it's the best build I can get right now with the perks I have. Even those four are just tier 1. Anyway, they destroyed my DH before I could get 3 tokens and MYC 1's duration is too short due to all the looping, so I was esse11 comments 131 views last activity

I was up against high-ranked survivors, as usual, when my arm started hurting. There were three gens left and three survivors were injured, but I'm not going to play while I'm in pain, so I faced a corner and went AFK. I did a few stretches to get rid of the pain, came back, EGC had almost ended, but there were three survivors around me. They hadn't broken all my totems, so NOED was still up. I put "Story thread" in the title so people who don't like them can skip it. If you're one of those people, why did you click on this? I was up against a Clown with the elephant skin (you know what they say about a man who wears an elephant suit) as the obsession. He seemed to know where we all were when we worked on gens, so we figured he had Discordance and/or Surveillance. Thankfully, my buil13 comments 161 views last activity

I think a button to replace all current Daily Rituals with random ones could be interesting. I'm thinking it should be usable once a week. That way players can "save up" rituals they don't like, hit the button, and see if they get lucky.0 comments 1 views last activity

If you don't like stories, stop reading now. You've been warned. I was up against a 3-man SWF that played like total noobs. We're talking a Dwight who ran out into the open instead of in the direction of literally anything when I hit him, nobody was doing any gens, ######### like that. I thought to myself that this must be a complete noob team, so I decided to let them go (accidentally sacrifice14 comments 121 views last activity

"#########", said the salty rank 1 survivor (I'm rank 11 as killer) because I got 5 DH tokens and "mori'd" him (along with two other survivors and sacrificed the fourth). The fact that it was DH and not an Ebony Memento Mori made no difference, naturally. Here's to the mods, for their work in dealing with these people. I think the last perk we got that wasn't a teachable was TOTH, back in 1.3.1. Any chance we might get more of those at some point in the future? I like many of the new teachables just fine, but it would be nice to have one that you can just unlock on your characters without having to level one of them to 30 first.8 comments 61 views last activity

I restarted both the game and Steam, but neither worked. I also verified the integrity of the game files. It's too late to play now, but I'd like to be able to test the new killer when he/she/it comes to the PTB.3 comments 61 views last activity

From what I've seen, he's as bland as they come. Just a generic slasher/"torture porn", nothing that sets him apart from every other slasher ever. Saw had some vague philosophical depth to it and both it and Candyman had some psychological elements (and Candyman touched on racism). Jason is boring. All flash and no substance, as they say. A common criticism of Candyman is that he's not that famo33 comments 451 views last activity

EDIT: To be clear, I don't mean bugs. We all know about those. Also, post your story, don't just type a small sentence. We're all here to laugh at ourselves. I'll go first. TL;DR at the bottom. I was playing survivor in a 2-man SWF with another 2-man SWF against a Hag. She got one, put him in the basement, traps all around, the usual. This perk is amazing for distracting the killer for fairly long periods of time (up to 30 seconds in my experience, depending on how stubborn the killer is). Here's a recent example: My SWF teammate and I were playing against a Legion with two other players in SWF. The other two were just terrible, constantly running toward the Legion and didn't seem to realize he quite obviously had Discordance6 comments 101 views last activity

DS works in too many situations, that's just a fact. Nobody likes being slugged either, that's another fact. With that in mind, I think the following situations should prevent DS from activating: When you've been fully healed. Unless the perk's goal is to punish the killer for trying to hook someone twice within 60 seconds of them being unhooked (for context, a generator takes 80 seconds to do7 comments 91 views last activity

I keep hearing survivor noises when I open lockers, break pallets, and damage generators. They often sound injured or like they just fell from a great height, even if the map is flat. Sometimes they're from survivors who aren't even in the trial.0 comments 11 views last activity

For context, I'm rank 10 killer and playing Oni with NOED, Devour Hope, MYC, and A Nurse's Calling - all tier 1. Game started out more or less fine, got my 3 DH tokens and one kill fairly soon, but I still only had that one kill by the time all the generators were powered. Fortunately, both gates were on the same wall and relatively close. Sucks for the survivors, but there were three of them an51 comments 581 views last activity

Facts that you need to know for this to make sense: there are only 5 totems on a map and when a hex totem is cleansed, the notification regarding that perk will disappear (because the perk itself will be gone). I was in a trial with a friend of mine, we were up against a Gunslinger. Dude had Ruin, we figured he probably had NOED as well, so we cleansed the totems we found while repairing generat8 comments 101 views last activity

(TL;DR at the bottom) I recently got Gunslinger and, other than these past few days, haven't played this game in about a year, so I'm very, very rusty. I was trying him out (using BBQ 1 and Deadman's Switch 1) when I came across a group of random survivors. They were quite good at hiding and had popped 2 gens by the time I found one of them. I haven't played DbD all that much since Ghostface (got back into it a few days ago). However, my SWF teammate can't always be there for me and I abhor playing solo survivor, so I'm looking for suggestions for which killer to get out of the following, based purely on their power and how it works (don't take into account perks or survivors from the same DLC): Demogorgon Oni Deathslinger I m30 comments 211 views last activity

I was only able to play a couple rounds due to some PC problems, but I love the [DG term for survivor equivalent] gameplay. I had to go AFK during my last trial because I couldn't see anything. The sun is shining through my window, which makes my screen seem darker. Usually, this isn't an issue, except on Haddonfield. That's because even under ideal lighting conditions, Haddonfield is incredibly dark. It could probably do with a little lighting rework.6 comments 62 views last activity

Picture this: two survivors are hooked in the basement. I saw a third one with No Mither trying to heal one of them while I was carrying them there. BBQ showed only one aura both times, meaning that survivor was still around. Naturally, I tried to find them, which technically leads to me being in proximity to the hook (i.e.: camping). And, naturally, in the post-game chat, I was informed that I'52 comments 453 views last activity

When Enduring is changed to only affect pallet stuns and reduce the time by 50%, I hope you won't also forget to dial down the stuns that were increased because of it in the same patch . I'll say it again, in the same patch that you rework Enduring so it only affects pallet stuns, you must also decrease the stuns that were increased because of Enduring . This is a very basic concept, but there should be a way to tweak the pipping threshold so that it's mathematically impossible to pip on either side starting at rank 10 if you don't escape as survivor or get more than 2 kills with killer. This should separate the people who play for shits and giggles from the people who play to win.17 comments 302 views last activity

As we know, totem spawns are an issue. If you exclude too many areas of the maps from having totems, then they become easier to find. If you don't exclude enough areas, they also become easier to find. My idea is like a middle ground between these two scenarios. The idea is to create map elements designed to contain totems and scatter them around the map. These elements are basically dead-ends t8 comments 122 views last activity

I recently got my second "Promote" reaction (bow before me, mortals), but I'm still not sure what they really are. This is my idea of a MoM rework so it requires at least a modicum of skill on the survivor's behalf, thereby rewarding them for skill, as opposed to punishing the killer for trying to win chases: After performing a safe unhook, you won't be put in the dying state the first time it happens (same as it is now, but it activates on the first time you're supposed to go down). Yes, I know, PTB isn't out yet, whatever. If you're going to make it so the Deep Wound timer doesn't go down while in the killer's TR, as well as making it so the Legion cannot inflict damage on the timer, then the timer should not pause if you're mending yourself and you should go down if you don't have enough time to finish mending. It should pause, however, if you have someone else mending3 comments 112 views last activity

A while back I did a poll of sorts asking if survivor mains were willing to make their interactions more dangerous if it also made them more fun. Much to my surprise, the answers were overwhelmingly positive. This is one of the reforms I'd like to see. As we know, most interactions in Dead by Daylight boil down to holding M1 for prolonged periods of time and occasionally tapping the space bar. H35 comments 682 views last activity

Feral Frenzy no longer expires if the Legion has never been in a chase or if the Legion hasn't been in a chase for the past X seconds (something short, like 10 or 15, tops). The power drains as it should once the Legion engages in a chase or hits someone. The idea is to give the Legion a better way to traverse the map than just slogging at 110% movement speed. Yes, I know about the moonwalking e18 comments 192 views last activity

For the past several trials, survivors have been acting nice. Aside from a few teabaggers here and there, and the odd idiot in the post-game chat, survivors have accepted that camping doesn't happen without a reason, they've said "gg" in the post-game chat (and not sarcastically), and even engaged in polite conversation from time to time. If there's a single dull totem left on the map by the time the exit gates are powered, NOED comes into effect. At that point, it cannot be disabled (it's no longer a Hex perk). NOED exposes all survivors, but has no other effect. This way, survivors will finally see totems as the objective they are. Discuss.69 comments 693 views last activity

Tokens are gained as per usual, and the perk would still grant a temporary movement speed bonus if you have enough tokens. However, you can activate the perk to deal double damage, which consumes 3 tokens. Killing survivors consumes 5 tokens. Would this perk be acceptable as a non-Hex perk? I think it might still be a little too powerful, but that's just me. What about having this as the effect3 comments 72 views last activity

@not_Queen A couple days ago I noticed that while playing as the Legion, if I get stunned by a pallet while the stun from Feral Frenzy's expiration is active, the stun from the pallet will override Feral Frenzy. With Enduring, this reduces the stun considerably. Is this intentional?5 comments 112 views last activity

Personally, since I don't have BBQ, I'm basically alternating between the Legion and the Doctor and just hitting/shocking as many survivors as possible. Assuming I don't get genrushed, it usually gets me some decent BP.24 comments 192 views last activity

For three years, killers everywhere have, on occasion, given survivors the hatch. Either because one or more people DC'd or because one or more people didn't make it into the trial or just out of sheer pity. However, in those three years, I have never heard about nor seen a single survivor (save for myself) surrender themselves to the killer so they wouldn't go out with a 0k after a particularly91 comments 1,343 views last activity

Nearly every single survivor says that the chase is the most exciting part of the game, but when you chase a survivor for too long or outside whatever bizarre conditions they come up with as being "fair", they accuse you of "tunneling" and "ruining the game" for that player. Which is it, are chases exciting or not? Personally, when I play survivor, I'd rather not get into chases at all, but when32 comments 292 views last activity

Would you be willing to put yourself at a greater risk while performing certain actions if it meant they were more interactive (i.e.: less time spent holding M1, more time doing something else)? I have a few suggestions in mind for how certain interactions can be changed to be more than just holding M1, but they would put all survivors at a greater risk of death. Personally, I don't mind that, b21 comments 222 views last activity

Let me explain: Dying Light, as it is now, only applies in a manner that is beneficial to the killer when the obsession is dead. This naturally leads to killers getting rid of the obsession as quickly and efficiently as possible. Thanatophobia only applies while survivors are injured, dying, or hooked. This naturally leads to it being garbage. What if, instead, Thanatophobia applied a debuff f15 comments 122 views last activity

I think the following offerings can be retired, for reasons I'll explain. Fog modifiers. My thinking here is the same as the devs' when they retired lighting modifiers. It'll make map design easier and remove some of the clutter from bloodwebs. Shrouds. The code for these seems to work most of the time, but when it fails, it fails hard. They're also backwards - killers would prefer survivors t32 comments 842 views last activity

Since "nobody uses it" and at least one survivor will DC on the loading screen, this is, in essence, a "turn your trial into a 3v1" offering. Guaranteed to work 60% of the time, every time, or your offering back!15 comments 962 views last activity
