Possible Legion buff. What do you think?
Feral Frenzy no longer expires if the Legion has never been in a chase or if the Legion hasn't been in a chase for the past X seconds (something short, like 10 or 15, tops). The power drains as it should once the Legion engages in a chase or hits someone.
The idea is to give the Legion a better way to traverse the map than just slogging at 110% movement speed. Yes, I know about the moonwalking exploit, which is why the Legion needs to not have been in a chase for the past X seconds. If they activate it while moonwalking, they will no longer see scratchmarks, which should give survivors an easy escape from the exploiters. Also, the requirement is high enough that just continuing to exploit is the best way to go about it.

@Orion You know, I actually like this idea. Granted, moonwalkers tend to use Bloodhound so that they don't have to worry about scratchmarks but it's definitely a good start.
I made a small edit pointing out that even if the exploiters try to use this to their advantage, the timer makes it essentially irrelevant. The game considers you're in a chase for a few seconds until after LoS is broken. Given the default Deep Wound timer, moonwalking to try to use this possible buff would be detrimental to the exploiters.
I like it. Legion is supposed to feel fast but he's so sluggish.
Literally all they need is longer duration and faster Frenzy speed. Enough to cross the map, if just a bit barely.
But I can get behind this suggestion. Would certainly help.
@Orion If this buff happened and Legion could still hop pallets and windows people would lose their minds.
If you increase the speed too much, people will need to be on cocaine just to handle the quick reactions necessary to hit survivors. An argument could be made for increasing its duration, but only because the current distance at which a survivor needs to be for FF to hit is relatively short.
Why? It's not like this can be used in a chase.
No, they need a rework @Orion it's not right to give them a buff, if they'll still be messed up.
Dont ask 'Have you even read the post?' I have and I don't see it fixing anything, just makes then slightly more unfun.
Fair enough. Duration buff is all that is really needed, but, that doesn't dissuade from the fact that this would be a good change.
@Orion People already find Legion oppressive. This would give him better map control buffing a killer everyone already hates.
Anything but a nerf as long as he has no counterplay would be ######### on by every survivor player.
It's not an exploit to track blood. Everyone can do it and I can not understand why people keep calling it an exploit. The game is designed to account line of sight and distance to keep a chase active. The best way to beat moonwalking is to turn around and run back towards them so you them to always be in a chasing state. Any killer can slap on bloodhound and sloppy butcher, moonwalk you after getting that first hit and be just as effective at the gimmick. At some point we gotta just start calling out chase design instead of constantly calling out legion. Besides, it has already been confirmed that Legion is getting a rework to be less tunnel oriented anyway.
Legion Mains: -gets a paper saying Legion is gonna get reworked- '0'
Some Legion Mains: :D
BHVR: -is BHVR and makes Legion completely unfun to play as-
Legion Mains:
Moonwalking is taking advantage of the chase conditions to make the Deep Wound timer go down despite being in a chase. It is an exploit, end of story.
People find the Legion unfun because of the Deep Wound/Mend mechanic. It's not fun to hold M1 for prolonged periods of time (which reminds me, I should get to writing my suggestion on how to remake some interactions to be more interactive). This change wouldn't affect the Deep Wound/Mend mechanic.
This fixes some of his movement and map pressure issues but does nothing to address actually downing people. He's still stuck as a huntress with no hatchets trying to down someone. Bar very rare addons just Feral Frenzying someone to death is unviable in how long it takes and unfun for both parties, much less no counter. If his power doesn't down people he needs 115% move speed at base. His power is only supplementary, he can't rely on it.
You've done it again, Orion. Now all we need is to make him downing people an actual thing.
@Shad03 I did the math, and a survivor must be within 7,68 meters of the Legion if the Legion is to get a Feral Frenzy hit (assuming they run in a straight line and not counting Sprint Burst).
@Orion So it balances out a bit, what do you think about Legion's power depleting a certain amount after vaulting (like a moderate amount), along with your idea? And if you hit someone after a vault, their mend time takes more of a hit (One hit chance, only in Feral Frenzy). That coupled with Legions mend time quicker (5 seconds?), but also how about when you enter killer instinct and leave the Survivor, you don't start to lose your killer instinct until you enter in another chase like how you proposed on feral frenzy? So essentially Legion gets excellent map pressure, decent time waste and decent ability to down while having a little counter play (along with shorter mend so survivors don't have to complain as much).
Certain -time window- for the extra damage on Mend timer after vault ofc.
