Like the servers I have been playing on have just straight up been crashing. Everyone gets disconnected (although most of the time it doesnt show that), followed by the error message "disconnected from host". It keeps happening a lot to me and really interrupts the flow of matches. It start to happen since the last Mid-Chapter, but this update seems to have made it a lot more common for me.0 comments 31 views last activity

I really feel like DbD needs a search bar to find different things easier, mainly perks, but I also feel like we should be able to favorite certain perks and cosmetics to make them easier to access. It feels miserable to go through so many pages of charms just to find the charms I want to put onto a character... both a search bar and favoriting system would streamline the process a lot.0 comments 21 views last activity

Wesker, 10/10 character, really fun to play, really fun to play against, I love his design and everything. The perks arent insanely strong but I love the way they function. RPD feels both worse and better but I love the atmosphere a lot more than the original RPD. Ive really been enjoying myself, I hope people have been as well.2 comments 61 views last activity

For some reason my screen got stuck like this after loading into a match. If only the cursor icon was removed, because it would really make an insanely good wallpaper if it wasnt there... but it's decent enough to use I guess.0 comments 41 views last activity

Like imagine when Wesker hooks someone, they say "Youll be dead by the time you see daylight", or Jill escaping says "Wow, if we didnt escape, we would be dead by the light of day."18 comments 231 views last activity

Faced off against a Kate who had Auto-DH and painful obvious speed hacks. While in chase, any time I would swing, even with short swings right up against them after waiting for DH, they would always get the timing perfectly... but I eventually decided to just Bloodlust her, and with Tier 2 Bloodlust, both of us running in a straight line, Im not making any distance for a solid 10 seconds until t10 comments 251 views last activity

While this is entirely subjective, I feel as if Speed Limiter really does make Billy's power horrible, especially in comparison to other meme addons. One of the things that I would really like to do, is have Speed Limiter buffed to make it not so horrible of a meme addon. Something along the lines of Plague's Prayer Tablet Fragment, where it provides a downside and positive to it's effect. How5 comments 192 views last activity

They dont necessarily have to be the best perks, or the worst, just stuff that you might really like. Like for example, Self-Preservation isnt an insane top tier perk, but someone might enjoy it, and they would respond with it regardless of how good/bad it is. For me, my favorite perks for killer are Dissolution, Dark Devotion, Mad Grit, Zanshin Tactics, Grim Embrace, BBQ, Forced Penance, Self-38 comments 463 views last activity

Just wondering if other people do this, but whenever I play killer, I listen a certain song to kind of set the mood for what Im doing. Like just to name a few (keep in mind most of my playlist is electro swing and EDM): ~ Legion: Professional Griefers (Deadmau5, Rob Swire), Haunted (Skurk), Ghosts N Stuff (Deadmau5, Rob Swire) ~Billy: Till It's Over (Tristam), DGAF (Noah Slee), Monophobia (Dead17 comments 261 views last activity

I typically run 75% sense for Controller that way my turning feels sharp, but not too sharp, I can actually focus on things. But I think it would be nice if we had more sensitivity options for Controller, why does controller need more sensitivity options? Well, for starters different killers require different mechanical skills that rely too much on sensitivity. Having a killer like Huntress wit2 comments 311 views last activity

Question: Well, this is just a question any artist can answer, not just DbD artists, but since I guess this is on the forums only DbD artists will see it anyways, which is, how do you gain more confidence in your art? "Sit down, saddle up, because we are about to do some intense generators"... only to be followed by a slow progression bar and a periodic skill check... so intense... But in all seriousness, I feel like it would be nice to have survivor be a tiny bit more engaging. Generators are a slow release from tension between the engagement and interactions with the killer. A lot of the changes I felt like should have been made during the mid-chapter update are making their way into the game with the next chapter releasing. Good job developers, "you did the good". But I do have some minor issues here and there which I will dive into, but do note, that I am still happy from all the information we got with the developer update. How to recreate Step 1: Open the Bloodweb Tab of a survivor or killer, and spend some Bloodpoints. Make sure to keep an eye on what nodes on the Bloodweb you bought and what were consumed by the Entity. Step 2: Entire the Archives, close the game, or play a match. Step 3: Wait for some time to pass. Step 5: Re-open the game if it was close, re-op the Bloodweb Tab of the same character from S0 comments 11 views last activity

I dont really come across Billy players often whenever I play survivor, but whenever I do, even if they are insane with their chainsaw, they still get harassed in post-game or made fun of during the match for M1ing. I was wondering why this is? I know people use to do this back when insta-saw was a thing, but I dont get why people still do it even after Billy got butchered with nerfs.6 comments 21 views last activity

I mean, why do we have to sit there and wait the full 10 seconds to have the forced ready up at 5 seconds remaining. Like, just let me ready up! I get it could be to lock loadouts, but there still isnt a reason to not have us be able to ready up.3 comments 1 views last activity

Ive been playing a lot of Twins lately, and due to the Tome challenges, Ive seen a lot of people using Boons in comparison to before. Just a lot of Boon: Circle of Healing and Exponentials, to the point to where even after the match is over, I still hear the sound to Boon Totems. I will be in the shower, or going out for walk, and hear the *Crack Boom* of a Boon Totem followed by the subtle ring3 comments 1 views last activity

Empathy. It's a word that can carry a lot of weight in it's action. The ability to share and understand someone's emotions and feelings towards something is important. I really feel like the community overall lacks empathy, they see themselves as apart of one side and fail to see the struggles of the other side which they see others apart of. The game design itself should reward more active gameplay between both sides. Engaging in chases, winning chases, and hooking survivors should grant a lot of bloodpoints (which it already does). However, I feel like the weight of such rewards doesnt encourage players enough to play choose a more active playstyle. Killers should feel as if they want and need to pressure survivors and generators;6 comments 1 views last activity

Well, actually, let me phrase that better. It sucks that cosmetics get linked together and you cannot use them separately. With character examples, such as Jonathan Byers, I can understand them being linked. But for original characters, there are so many linked cosmetics that could fit normally but are just made linked cosmetics for seemingly no reason. Listen. I think most people can agree Dragon's Grip is a bad perk. But honestly, Ive been using it a lot recently because it is so bad that nobody expects it. The amount of times Ive had people tap generators right in my face only to get hit with it is just too many to count. Okay, I get that towards the end of the match, survivors just want to escape, so they hide. Sometimes it is taken too far and they will hide for 30+ minutes in an attempt to get the killer to DC or give up. However, I just had a match that took me 15 minutes to injure a survivor before other survivors started touching generators. How do I know this? Simple, Plague infection duration addons. One of the things about Plague is survivors will sometimes (but not always) cleanse during end-game, since having more than 1 health state really helps when the situation calls for it. Or a coordinated team might even try to over-cleanse during end-game to at least deny the abundance of Corrupt Purge Fountains. What would happen if you gave like a historically old character, like Plague, or Twins, maybe even Deathslinger, something like a Baja Blast? I mean, personally I think Deathslinger wouldnt really be effected by it; Twins would just have Victor age by 10 years; and Plague would just spontaneously explode. Bloodpoints are important... However, grinding Bloodpoints feels so sluggish, even after the category cap increases. The cap increase boosted the overall amount of Bloodpoints you gain in a given category, which thus buffed the amount of BP you gain from offerings that focus on a specific category or all categories. While subjective, I feel as if BP offerings focusing on a single category do no0 comments 1 views last activity

I feel like it would be nice to have some more ways of expressing ourselves within game. And Im not just talking about for only survivor, I really wish killers also had emotes they could use. Plus I really feel like this opens up the game to more possibilities in what can be done (and also because it's just generally funny). Spicing Up Gameplay Typically, DbD has long pauses in between content releases. With DbD mainly getting Chapter releases, with patches and Mid-Chapter updates to fix the Chapter releases or fine-tune gameplay. In between these periods, we typically go a long time without anything really happening ingame. While not exact the same perk, I really feel like this an underlooked competition between two perks; Any Means Necessary and Alert. Both perks can provide information and utility when having a proper understanding of the game. Alert reveals the aura of the killer when they perform break actions, while you do get the occasional value on generators or a breakable wall, it is mostly used to see whe1 comments 51 views last activity

How to recreate Play Hillbilly. Interacting with generators or hooking a survivor will sometimes cause this, based on my experience, having more than 2 hooked survivors typically causes this. Killer will be disconnected from the server, forfeiting all bloodpoints and cause a disconnect penalty as a result. It isnt consistent to recreate, it normally happens on Coldwind and Garden of Joy based5 comments 21 views last activity

I always see this idea from players that "if it isnt high tier, it is automatically garbage and awful", and Im going to heavily disagree. A lot of DbD's perks have their own uses and situations which they fill in, even if some are rather niche. And more often than not, it was the niche perks that won me games more than anything else (looking at you Gearhead, my beloved). I think people kind of f8 comments 111 views last activity

I dont know who needs to hear this, but please, for the love of everything within the universe, do generators when you get the chance. I really thought the Beta Tab in DbD would have a lot more going on with it, testing a lot of upcoming features that arent too influential over gameplay. But it really feels like the Beta Tab was left to gather dust, it was only used like once or twice ever since it was introduced. Im hoping we see some more stuff done with it, since it was a really good idea.3 comments 71 views last activity

Will we ever get cosmetics based off of the different character designs of Hooked On You (for Trickster, Wraith, Huntress, Trapper, Spirit, etc)? I think they would make really good cosmetics for a summer event or Rift (obviously, some outfits will need to be toned down from the original, to better fit DbD).37 comments 982 views last activity

I was playing Billy, and decided to try out Speed Limiter. I went into the match with the mindset that I would lose since normal Billy can struggle in a lot of areas (mainly vs strong windows, if you dont have Bamboozle) and since I was playing Speed Limiter, it would only amplify the issues that normal Billy has since you need to hit survivors twice, it took me awhile to get going and to start g1 comments 61 views last activity

Haddonfield was always a horrible map for killer, but the current Haddonfield just feels way too awful to play on as killer, mainly because of the windows to the buildings being low enough to not cause any stagger; 115% killers can only really catch up because of Bloodlust, and if youre a 110% killer, youre better off giving up unless you have semi-decent anti-loop, the distance you gain as survi21 comments 261 views last activity

The Undying Influence Tome Challenge requires you to finish the trial with at least 1 Hex Totem remaining while using Hex: Undying. If you are worried about not completing this challenge due to bad map and totem spawn RNG, I would recommend bringing Hex: Pentimento. Rekindled Hex Totems are still treated as normal Hex Totems. Killer got ran really well, and we had several Calm Spirits countering them (they were Doctor), they DCed with only 1-2 generators remaining. Didnt get the Hemophobia achievement. I finally got Adept Nurse. The reason why this took so long was because people would just instantly DC as soon as they heard my first blink. I mean, in all seriousness, why does Nurse have pallet/breakable-wall animations? Her entire power involves ignoring all of that, and it just kind of makes me sad to see those animations (which are cool as hell) go underused because it physically conflicts with a killer's design. Periodically, I see posts on the forums stating that the game is dying because of a reduction in player count following the past few months. I know some people are concerned about the game's direction, but the player count of the game (and the Steam charts) are not an accurate representation of a game dying. Ive also seen people try to use queue times as a way to show such. Overall I find it very11 comments 331 views last activity
