In the patch notes today, there was a Switch only change which stated that they fixed an issue where "player moved slower when looking in certain directions". I thought I was imagining it! When I played cross play as survivor I always thought that killers on other platforms were very fast. When I used to play killer on cross play I always had difficulty catching survivors at loops. Just to say in advance that I haven't been playing this weekend so I don't know the full effect that the Bloodlust changes had on the game. I feel like when looking at the forums, people either want all or nothing when it comes to Bloodlust. I think that there are valid reasons on both sides as Bloodlust can cause some issues while no Bloodlust can cause other issues. However, I haven't seen ma3 comments 51 views last activity

I remember another person on the forums suggesting this months ago so I didn't come up with it myself, but I do think it's a good buff that should be reposted. Currently, Poised allows you to leave no scratch marks for 10 seconds after completing a generator. This is a nice effect, but most of the time the killer is nowhere near you, which makes the perk useless. Plus if you are downed or on a h0 comments 11 views last activity

You probably already know that Mindbreaker had it's exhaustion increased to 5 seconds after leaving the gen. However, there's also been another undocumented buff in that the 50% progression requirement has been removed. So Mindbreaker works on a gen the entire way through. Don't know why they haven't put that in the patch notes yet. It makes the perk somewhat decent.5 comments 171 views last activity

So they're increasing the duration of the exhausted status effect which is a good thing. However, the main problem the perk had was the fact that it only works on generators under 50%. This was the main reason why the perk never saw use in the year that it has been released. This condition needs to be removed or the percentage increased for anyone to consider this perk outside of meme builds.9 comments 332 views last activity

With the introduction of Undying, I see a lot of people calling for a nerf to the perk. I personally believe that this is the wrong move as it encourages survivors to cleanse totems more. However, the only true counter to Undying is to run Detective's Hunch or to know totem locations off by heart, which is not reliable due to the new maps having well hidden totem spawns. With this in mind I belie3 comments 51 views last activity

If you don't remember, in the Ghostface PTB I'm All Ears would only activate if a survivor performed a rushed action 48 meters away from you. Of course no survivor would do this so it was changed to have an opposite effect of revealing survivors who performed a rushed action within 48 meters from you. Now, Blood Favor blocks pallets within 16 meters of you. While it seems good on paper, survivor1 comments 11 views last activity

As you know, hag's traps can be avoided by crouching. However, there is no indication of this in game for newer players. Due to not explaining this core mechanic, it leads to new players activating traps left and right, which negatively impacts not only them but their teammates. It's like how new survivors used to struggle on hook because they didn't know it was a bad idea. Therefore, there need9 comments 31 views last activity

Edit: I have fixed the problem. If you are on Switch and this happens to you, hold the power button and press "Restart" in the power options menu. I just turned on the game but it won't let me go pass the title screen. I see the DBD logo and the background is animated but there's no text and I can't press any buttons to continue. I've looked at the bug reports but nothing fits the description. I4 comments 111 views last activity

Before crossplay came to DBD I loved playing killer. While yes it was harder to control the killer and performance issues were a problem, I really enjoyed killer and would win frequently enough. Then crossplay came, and as a survivor I really liked it. There isn't that much difference between a PC or console survivor and I did enjoy going against Huntresses and Nurses more often. However, on the11 comments 311 views last activity

Before crossplay, I used to have loads of fun with killer. I would have difficulty with the controls and the framerate and I would miss some attacks but the survivors I played against also had that problem so it evens out. But ever since crossplay came out I found that I have been having less fun playing as killer. Sure, I have been playing against higher level survivors but I wouldn't mind that5 comments 201 views last activity

Visionary is just Deja Vu with no timer. Built to Last is way better than Streetwise. Undying is a Thrill of the Hunt that also transfers hexes to dull totems. I feel like the old perks need a little love in order to differentiate them from their new counterparts. Either by strengthening their unique traits or adding new features to the perks to make them just as appealing as the new perks.9 comments 142 views last activity

In the lore for the Alchemist there is no mention of transforming into a werewolf. His lore is focused on his hunger for the flowers and his experiments on the other killers. We already know how the serum affects the killers from their cosmetics, they get covered in boils and usually have some sort of mutation like the doctor getting a third eye or the Wraith being hollowed out. I play on Switch and before crossplay happened I would get instant killer lobbies but I would have to wait around 5 minutes to get a survivor lobby. Not instant but not terribly slow either. With crossplay out I thought my survivor queues would be faster but I haven't noticed a difference. It still takes around 3-5 minutes to get a lobby as survivor. I was playing at around 10:00pm but I thought1 comments 21 views last activity

I was thinking this for the past few days and seeing the Scottjund video led me to make this post. I want to know if killers have a baseline MMR. For example, in Smash Bros every fighter has a thing called GSP which is used for matchmaking. Win with a fighter and their unique GSP goes up, along with the general GSP. If you switch to a new fighter it will use the general GSP for matchmaking. That4 comments 71 views last activity

New Bubba has an add-on called Rusted Chain which inflicts broken for 90 seconds when using the chainsaw. Legion's Broken Pin add-on inflicts broken for 60 seconds when hitting a survivor highlighted by Killer Instinct. Getting a protection hit is, in my opinion, the same difficulty or even harder than getting a chainsaw hit so I believe that the numbers on Forced Penance should be increased to0 comments 21 views last activity

I played her after the 4.1.0 patch and I thought that her puke was going higher than before because I was having a hard time hitting survivors. I watched a video by True playing Plague because I wanted to see if I was mistaken but he noticed it as well. Was this change intentional or not because it wasn't in the patch notes so I'm thinking it might be a bug?1 comments 41 views last activity

I feel like everyone is talking about the basic attack requirement for Knock Out, and with good reason. However, even if the requirement was removed down the line, I still feel like they didn't buff anything substantial about the perk. Let's take the 15 seconds of crawling slower. It sounds nice in theory, but this change fails to take into account what survivors do when they are downed. Survivo1 comments 21 views last activity

Platform: PC Issue: In Monto's video "My fav builds" he activates Dark Devotion and then gets hit by Decisive Strike which then deactivated Dark Devotion straight away. He also had Nemesis on so that might have contributed to the glitch as well. The glitch happens around 14:40 in the video.0 comments 1 views last activity

To clarify, I don't mean general feedback on the game like "maps are too big" or "this killer is too weak", as I am pretty happy with how the devs take feedback from the community, but specific feedback like perk reworks or new gameplay changes. As an example, Save the Best for Last, which many killers love, myself included, was suggested by a person on Reddit, which the devs liked and put it di0 comments 11 views last activity

I was thinking for a while that there are quite a few perks and add-ons that reveal survivors by changing a generator's aura, but there no way to stop this on the survivors' side. With this in mind I want to propose the following buff for Technician: Technician prevents any generator's aura from revealing your location to the killer. This effect only applies to you. I'm looking forward to the PTB to see all the new changes but I do have two questions about how the new Franklin's Demise will work. 1) Will Franklin's Demise work on any item that has been dropped or will it only work on items that have been dropped by a basic attack? I could see people dropping keys or other items until they need them if the latter is the case. 2) Will Franklin's Demise work4 comments 321 views last activity

Remember when they "nerfed" the Doctor with his recent rework? Remember when sabo was OP because of a single video? Remember when perks like For The People and Soul Guard were going to be top tier meta perks? I tend to notice that whenever a change is announced people tend to make quick snap judgements that tend to lean towards either end of the spectrum. You can see it in the forums right now11 comments 101 views last activity

I can't watch it on the dev update page as it always gives me an error and when I go to the YouTube app it's not on there. Can you upload those two videos to your YouTube channel for those who have trouble with the forums video player?4 comments 91 views last activity

In the hotfix today Pyramid Head was changed in order to stop tunneling. When he went to a caged survivor he knew for definite that he can chase the survivor with no repercussions, as the cages disabled hook perks like DS and BT. This resulted in many players abusing the fact and relentlessly tunneled the survivor until death. I of course welcome this change as it's always a good idea to discoura5 comments 131 views last activity

Platform: Switch Issue: After every game as a killer your add-ons are unequiped even if you have multiple of the same add-on, similar to survivors. When the devs reworked Ruin, one of the reasons they mentioned is that the unpredictable nature of skill checks made Ruin either too powerful or too weak. However it's been months since the change and Autodidact is still in the same predicament that Ruin was. You can go a full heal without getting a skill check, which for a perk which requires five skill checks to activate is a massive deal. For6 comments 591 views last activity

When you or the obsession are injured, your auras are revealed to each other. After healing the obsession or being healed by the obsession you both get the haste statuseffect for 6/8/10 seconds. After getting the haste status the perk goes on cooldown for 30 seconds, in which you don't get the haste status effect from this perk. Decreases your chances of being the obsession. In the patch notes they increased the time you get haste to 10 seconds which is good. However now haste only activates if you complete a full heal. This is a big nerf to a perk that didn't need it in the first place. Beforehand if you got interrupted healing you could use the haste to get away. Now the haste is only useful if the killer catches you just as you finish healing. I'm quite disappoint13 comments 711 views last activity

In addition to its current effects, if a survivor using Buckle Up is within 8 meters of a downed survivor, they will be able to pick themselves up from the ground. The perk deactivates if the person using Buckle Up is downed. This perk in its current state doesn't do enough to warrant being used in an anti-slugging build. With this buff, this allows the perk to be used as a counter to slugging.6 comments 31 views last activity

After watching the dev streams and the recently released spotlight, they keep on saying that Forced Penance applies the oblivious status effect. However, the perk in game applies broken instead. Why was this changed? Applying the oblivious status effect to survivors taking protection hits is much more useful than broken as it keeps them paranoid about if you're chasing them or not while broken wi13 comments 151 views last activity

Almost every perk has at least one condition in order to be used. Self Care requires you to be injured, Barbeque requires you to hook a survivor and so on. These conditions allow the devs to design perks while making sure that they aren't too overpowered. A powerful perk that doesn't have the necessary conditions to restrict it can negatively impact the meta of the game, see ruin/decisive/mettle24 comments 181 views last activity

I was playing a bit a Wraith today when I noticed that he had a bug. If you start to uncloak but cancel it the uncloaking audio will play out in full, even if you canceled it straight away. You stay invisible too, so survivors can only hear the sound. I was going to make a bug report about it but after playing with it and thinking about how it could work I kinda want it to stay in the game. If s6 comments 171 views last activity

While these perks are fun to use, you aren't really rewarded for them. For sabo you only get the points for breaking the hook and you don't receive the survivor rescue points that you would receive when doing a flashlight save. The same applies to breakout. If you use sabo or breakout to free a survivor then you should get the 1500 altruism points that you wish get from a flashlight save. On tha0 comments 71 views last activity

Who is going to be the new killer that will be revealed tomorrow? Cast your votes to ensure your bragging rights when you get it right. Pharmacy is on the shrine today and for Switch players that's the only way for them to get perks from Freddy or Quentin. When the Switch version was released, instead of making their perks base they told us that they would try to bring the characters to the platform as soon as possible. Since the arrival of breakable walls in the Chains of Hate chapter, it seems the devs are trying to find out how to implement them. However, with the recent changes to their placements a while back there are still many walls that the killer definitely shouldn't break. For example, in the Dead Dawg Saloon map there's a room with only a window and three breakable walls that is basically a dead end.18 comments 411 views last activity

I've been think of this for a while now as a new way to buff Premonition so serve a different purpose than just as an inferior Spine Chill. Of course the numbers below can change but the important point is how the perk works. When the killer is within 16 meters and leaves your line of sight this perk activates, allowing you to see the killer's aura for 5 seconds. This perk has a cooldown of 40/2 comments 72 views last activity

TLDR at bottom: With over 100 unique perks in game, it has come to a point where the chance of a specific perk that you want appearing on the shrine is very slim. Buckle Up took a whole year to appear on the Shrine, while this week Camaraderie is the first perk from the Stranger Things chapter to appear on the shrine, which was released in September. There has been another culprit which has exas0 comments 11 views last activity

In the patch notes it says that the perks icon lights up when it gains one token. Before this, the perk would only light up if the killer was trying to read your aura, notifying you that the killer was near you or if they were trying to find you. My question is that did they nerf this perk with this change or am I reading too much into it.0 comments 31 views last activity

Dead by Daylight has been on Switch since September and there has been no mention of Freddy coming to Switch. Now with mobile's release they have put Freddy's and Quentin's perks as base perks on their platform. I want to ask the devs if they plan to do the same for Switch any time soon. I have brought up this situation on the forums before but I didn't get an answer so one would be appreciated.0 comments 41 views last activity

I think that Lithe should also activate when you quickly exit a locker. If would synergize well with perks like Quick and Quiet and Dance With Me, among many others. It would promote more locker gameplay and mindgames, as you can trick the killer into opening the wrong locker, allowing you to sprint away. BHVR had one of their Q&As today about the last two patches. During the livestream one question they answered was "Why does the game end when everyone is in the struggle phase?" Today the DBD mobile team announced that the perks for Leatherface, Freddy and Quentin will be base on the mobile version. That's great as I know as they can use these perks while the DBD team tries to sort out the licenses, but now there's only one platform that doesn't have all the perks, and that's the Switch. We still don't have Freddy's or Quentin's perks at base and we have to rely on the S7 comments 1,231 views last activity
