There goes the 3 flans and bps offered that round. That was a good bp round too.

For the most part I would say this game is very good on bugs, but this one def sucks

If anyone wants to list users who are purposefully griefing fellow survivors please add to this thread

    • Wraith Kisser
    • Ghostface

Said users have been reported through Behavior Interactive through their new reporting system with screenshots. If you'd like to make a further report please use https://support.deadbydaylight.com/hc/en-us

    The following occurred

    • Teaming up with killer to locate and point out survivor locations without being harmed in anyway and furthermore was allowed to escape. Harassment in lobby chat and was so confident Behavior Interactive doesn't actually punish players for these actions.
    • Curious to see what Behavior does given these precedents

Ur the one griefing at this point

Thank you for answering and good to know holding W mid shred doesnt effect its range. Maybe seemed like placebo effect for the person which told me this like it was for me using A and D on Shred.

and while i was doing 2 min chases she was hiding so i ran to her to see what she was doing while not being in chase and she was still hiding and the killer found her and she blamed it on me trolling like what?

Does it matter. Just don't engage with them

I am not joking when I say this, but in solo q every time I play against a pinhead their box creates so much pressure that it always gets down to the last 2 gens, but then we are all death hook and die one by one it happens everytime where we can't keep up enough pressure to get out the last 2 generators.

Though when I play swf against pinhead when we focus gens we manage to survive nearly all the time, but you cant get that kind of teamwork in solo q, I think the problem here is that pinhead isn't truly overpowered his abilities just require more to overcome and you can't really get that really in solo q.

Instead of nerfing pinhead and making him bad, we should instead focus on getting solo q better suited and up to the level of swf otherwise a lot of killers like pinhead who already do poorly against swf will be even worse.

I personally think pinhead is trash. Playing against him has never been a challenge for me nor have I ever been against a "pro pinhead main"

People think Prove Thyself is OP? It seems more like a detrimental. It’s generally META for survivors to split up and work on different generators. I guess PT could be really helpful when there are 1-2 gens left in some sort of 3-gen set up. You’d need at least 3 survivors alive to really make it work, though.

Yeah man have you seen the amount of conplains on PT? It's ridiculous

I remember Entity only consume 1 survivor at a time, with 4 survivors already death on hook, as the last survivor being hooked, you have to wait for Entity to slowly consume 1st survivor, then 2nd, then 3rd, then you. The process would take 40sec because the animation is 10sec long.

Animations were truly cracked. Entity didnt insta kill you ether, and sometimes it took like a whole minute for the match to end after everyone was dead

Should there be a button to autofill the bloodweb or something similar to cut the time on spending on BP. It is currently imo the most boring part of DBD currently.

You should of seen how long it took in 2016-17. It took 4 seconds to fully unlock 1 perk or item from the bloodweb

  • Right before clown release was about 30 min wait on ps4 yeah

  • @Gamedozer7 said:

Even with a full slowdown buill with the toolboxes PT I'm back to losing 2-3 gens in the first chase plus a gen per chase or so. You can say I'm not good but my chases are generally quick and I will leave chase to find a better one. They nerf slowdown and added 10 seconds to gens but left all the gen speed stuff like it was. This gen kick meta is only effective with certain killers plus most the time if you don't camp the gen survivors just tap it and remove your regression.

So before we go nerfing any more slowdown toolboxes and gen speed perks definitely need to be looked at.

Pretty sure this is a skill or mmr issue, but you claim you get downed quickly so I'm not sure. Toolboxes are perfect the way they are. They've already been nerfed.

I sincerely doubt they can parse any usable information from wildly jerking the mouse in random directions for a second.

They just do it to look good. Just like some streamers as survivors look back and forth with their camera constantly and rapidly to make it look like they are good when that isn't really needed and isn't giving them any extra info

On the other hand, I can find pretty fast games as survivor with THREE SECONDS queues. But hey, when I don’t verse tryharders (and I expect to verse tryharders) I verse stupid killers, unable to do what they need to do. Guess they’re ex-deadhard addicted-boosted survivors.

    1. Reworking offerings, removing useless offerings and balancing their rarity so that the price is justified.
    2. I would like to see maps for chapters like killers blight, twins and trickster.
    3. Increase the number of blood points per match. With the current prestige system, you have to play a lot of matches to level up, and not everyone has this time.
    4. To remove the skill tier and make one maximum, but I think it would not be superfluous for each player to choose what tiers he needs, in rare cases when a player needs to have tier 2 or 1.
    5. Distribution of killer addons. For the bloody web to offer addons that the character has the least.
    6. I really miss the usual cosmetics on the survivors, I rarely see ordinary cosmetics come out, so that they are not expensive and ordinary, I don’t want to buy cosmetics that have been coming out lately.
    7. It would be interesting to play certain cosmetics on certain maps, for example, if a winter card fell out, then winter cosmetics were selected, if any. In another case, I don't see the point of winter cosmetics if they don't match the map.
    8. Generator repair and unhook management settings, it seems to me that different actions should be configured differently as the player wants, that is, when repairing the generator, I don’t want to constantly hold the button, but when unhooking and healing I want.
    9. Displaying the busyness of players in order to understand who is doing what. This will be useful for soloq, especially now after the killer buff.

I want to say in advance that English is not my native language, sorry if it is not clear. Here I wrote small things that were interesting for me, I did not touch on serious problems. If you have interesting small ideas to improve the dbd, write, it will be interesting to read.

Stop acting like this towards people that do nothing wrong.

The real question is...why are you triggered about killers being triggered? Boom your mind is blown. Nah but seriously this game is the most triggering game in all of history. Killers and survivors haven't been more triggered recently they have just been triggered forever

So if you loop the killer for 5 gens then get face camped at Endgame and die against a Bubba that player isint skilled? It should go on how long you loop a killer as survivor and how many hooks you get as killer. By BHVR’s logic I could just run Sole Survivor, Wake Up, and Left Behind; hide all game and wait till my team dies and get guaranteed exit gates unless the killer comes instantly. By they’re logic I’m skilled. Makes no sense whatsoever to have kills and escapes as skill.

Thats how they rank your mmr? I'm almost positive it isn't but it would make sense cause it would be the easiest thing to code.

I see what your getting at but survivors can be any squad they want to be, that dosnt really relate to match making. If you get a iri 1 bully squad and you're also iri 1 then it's not the matchmaking fault. It's not the type of players you get, but the skill of them compared to your skill. Just letting you know.

The skill level of survivors and even the killers is so all over the place. You will have teams with a god tier looper and someone who runs into walls non stop. What's so hard about putting people of equal skill together?

Idk man, it used to be actually good and they scrapped it altogether just because of people smerfing and being "boosted" when really it wasn't that big of a deal. It was much better before grades where introduced into the game. Mmr just inst the way to go.

  • It's hit or miss with nurse, they're even super good vets or really bad. Let me go deeper into this.

    1. It's 50/50 if you go up against a nurse and they are good or bad. If they are bad that's an insta escape but if they are good then you would probably get booty clapped, especially if you're jane. But the fact that veteran players that don't play nurse much, try out nurse and are not good with her is a huge factor why she is fine. A good killer main can go from myers to Pyramid head and be good with both, but if someone transfered to nurse it would take alot of time to get good and people arnt that dedicated especially newer players.

    2. You don't really go against nurses even in high MMR. Don't say you go against a nurse every match cause you really don't. Console players don't play nurse (or atleast good at her), and PC pro nurse mains get tired of her too. Now Nintendo switch nurse mains are bangers. I give all my respect to them. I maybe go against a nurse 1/15 matches and I'm Fairley high on mmr (atleast I think).

    3. Nurse is a good fall back for killers, especially people that want to rank up to iri. You get destroyed by a bully squad? Go to nurse and beat some ass. But again this is rare because people don't know how to player her.

FIRST OF ALL: I have pretty(?) graphs instead of a TL;DR! Just keep on scrolling😄

There are so many statements and claims floating around and subjective perception is sometimes really far from reality, so I figured: why not keep track of 100 SoloQ matches? --- In the mean time some other people have done similar things so I guess I'm a little late to the party - but hey, maybe there's something new in here.

    CONTEXT (feel free to skip)

Some info on me for context may also be useful since it has quite the impact on results. Or so I've heard. So here goes: I play dbd since December 2021 and started this experiment just shy of 1k hours of which one half is survivor and one half is everything else. My, safe for BT meta-free, build pre-update was BT + Leader + Botany/We'll make it + some perk I felt like. No clue where my MMR is at but pre-Update my SoloQ escape rate was probably somewhere around 40%. SWF escape rate for me personally was somewhere between 50% and 60%. I'm not a particularly good survivor but I'm not a complete potato either. I play for fun and pretty much refuse to sweat - though I won't throw just because I don't like a killer or a map or loadout or whatever either.

The matches were between the 23rd of July and 4th of August. Most games were played between afternoon and late night (~15:00-02:00). I'm on Frankfurt servers [EU servers]. My build wasn't the same throughout the whole thing but always a combination of the following (number of matches played with the perk in brackets): Sprint Burst (91), Lithe (9), Botany Knowledge (26), Leader (41), Tenacity (9), Wake Up! (51), Vigil (23), Windows of Opportunity (39), Borrowed Time (3), Self-Aware/Fixated (20), Kindred (40), Distortion (40) and Alert (8). I brought neither items nor offerings.

    MATCHES AND OUTCOMES

My Escapes / Deaths and Overall Escapes

I escaped 37 matches which translates to a 37% escape rate. It certainly didn't feel that way. 5 times I escaped through the hatch, on three of those occasions the killer gave hatch on purpose. One time the killer DCd. Out of my 31 escapes through the gates it was 7x1E (four times the killer wanted me to open the exit gates and escape), 3x2E, 10x3E and 12x4E. The longest escape streak was four (this happened two times. I also escaped three times in a row two times).

I died 63 times which translates to a 63% death rate. Two times I was the only one who died. The longest "death streak" was eight deaths in a row. Except for one given hatch and one match with multiple DCs they were all 4K with two or more gens left. Definitely one of the more frustrating and discouraging experiences.

In total 12 matches were a 4E (one 3E+H included). 13 matches were a 3E (one 2E+H included). 5 matches were 2E. In total 16 survivors escaped through the hatch, in 14 matches they were the only survivor to escape. 12 matches were 1E through gates. In 42 matches no one escaped (=4K). There was also one match where three survivors DCd and one killer DCd, I count those matches as null.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/9CULF4YQH9XN/keh.png

    DCs/Suicides

There were 2 suicides on hook (though a number of players tried but got taken off the hook before they could actually kill themselves but since it's hard to tell if it's a genuine kobe attempt or someone actually trying to kill themselves I didn't count any of that). There were a total of 12 DCs in a total of ten matches. One DC was a killer, one match had three survivors DC. Looking at complaints of all kinds of people that was fewer DCs than expected.

    Generators

A total of 364 gens got completed which means 3.64 gens got completed on average. To my surprise there were only five matches that ended with zero gens completed. Even more surprising was that in 41 matches all gens got somehow completed. It certainly didn't feel that way. That being said, there were a number of occasions where completing the last gen was the last thing the (next to) last survivor did before dying moments later. It may be an act of defiance at this point 😂

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/VO92434SAL30/grafik.png

I was also curious what the final match results were when all five gens got done - since they they did all get done quite often.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/PUPRXEHGGAKA/grafik.png

And while I was at it I also looked at how many gens got done when the final result was a 4K. In total 127 gens got done in matches that turned out to be a 4K, which means on average 3.02 gens got done in these matches. Some may go "hold on a sec, there were five matches that had zero gen progress!" - which is true. One is the triple DC which was not counted as a 4K but null. And on the other occasion someone actually managed to open the gate and escape after the killer had closed hatch.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/8B95YCPVHBZN/grafik.png

    Match Duration

Playing those 100 SoloQ matches took 1295 minutes - that's a little over 21hrs 30min - of pure match time. On average a complete match was 12 minutes and 57 seconds. The shortest match was 5 minutes (against Nurse. Who would've guessed...) and the longest was a whopping 28 minutes (against a Nemo. Iirc it was a three gen followed by the last two survs crouching around edge map for over five minutes). Most matches were pretty spot on the average and lasted 13 minutes, give or take.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/NR1TU46ZYG9D/duration.png

    Pipping & Match Points

I pipped in 49 matches and depipped in 13. Overall I gained 41 pips. (During the first ten or so matches I was still Gold Grade.) The depips felt like a punch to the gut though; e.g. when the three others DCd, there was some serious camping/tunneling going on or that 4K-in-five-min Nurse match. On pretty much all the occasions I depipped it was out of my control.

On average I got ~18.5k points in the match result screen. The lowest score was 3900 in that 4K-in-five-min Nurse match. The highest score I got was 31037. 13 matches were below 10k points. 13 matches were above 10k and below 15k points. 32 matches were above 15k and below 20k points. 22 matches were above 20k points and below 25k points. 18 matches were above 25k points and below 30k points. Two matches were above 30k points.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/8K3VWOTNGTAH/pips-points.png

    Killers

The top most frequently faced killers were Nurse, Huntress, Blight, Legion and Wraith. I didn't face a single Twins or Hag and I only faced a single Plague, Billy and Slinger. Also just a single Clown but that might be due to Clown being disabled during almost all days I played.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/TF7WYDSVH91C/killers.png

    MY CONCLUSIONS SO FAR

My escape rate was higher than I thought it was - although it certainly didn't feel that way. Same goes for the average number of gens being completed being surprisingly high. And I also got more points on average than I would have guessed (I'd have said about 15k which is 3k less than it actually is). So, how come that matches still feel so, so, so much worse/unfun/frustrating/you name it than the numbers alone would suggest?

I don't have a definite answer but I have two guesses:

    a) After losing a lot you eventually go up against killers that are way below you level and you escape for a couple of matches - but even though these matches are escapes they don't feel good. Because it feels a little like going up against the Trapper-bot in the Tutorial. When you're at a point where you're stuck with 1-2 team mates per match that crouch around, not touching anything or anyone until they know the killer is on the other side of the map and still manage to escape that says all anyone needs to know about the killer you go against and about how rewarding it feels to "win" an interaction (be that looping, escaping chase, throwing them off your trail, mind games or whatever).

    b) The all-or-nothing nature in terms of outcomes. If I were to exclude the occasions where a killer made it a point to let the last survivor escape the 4K rate would be way over 50%. I alone have been given hatch or gate seven times - and while I didn't keep track of it for the others there were other survivors who did get hatch/gate because the killer wanted them to (literally carrying them there). The pretty much non-existent 2k also speaks volumes about how all-or-nothing matches are. Not to mention the massive snow-balling potential in SoloQ due to lack of basic communication. --- And considering the times where it was a 4E and then a last-second NOED-hit happened, or one unlucky one got basement camped at the end, the same is true for the survivor side. It's very stomp or be stomped - and as SoloQ you get stomped way more often than you stomp. And to me, personally, neither stomping nor getting stomped is fun.

    __________________________________________________________________________________________

If anyone is curious about anything feel free to comment. - Also if there's something you wonder about, feel free to ask - maybe I have the numbers you're looking for.

There's also a part two coming at some point that's all about which loadouts my fellow survivors and the killers brought - but that would make this post explode and will also take some time so that's gonna be a while. Spoiler: Self Care is still a thing. And yes, Killers do stack slowdown a lot.

    __________________________________________________________________________________________

    Change-Log:

08.08.22 - Corrected two mistakes I found; I missed to record one DC and one generator (2E at 4 gens seems quite impossible), so I corrected those two bits. I also added the "4K gen progress" bit and "5 gen outcomes" bit to this overview post.

This is nice because you played 100 matches but it's just not accurate when it's 1 person. You need multiple people on a different skill level. 100 people and 100 games per person would be way more accurate. I love the hard work and nice setup of graphs though.

Hey peeps. Im playing killer and just got the game on a new platform so Im having to start all over (I know it sucks) I would like to know since most characters and killers dont have perks and when playing matches with 0-2 perks all survivors seem like beginners and after matches I can see perks and some have all at level 3 while others have like 3 slots all level 1 or 2. Does not having perk slots or leveled up perks cause this? I feel bad for new people and try to help them but most of them don't get it which takes matches even longer because I let them go and they run away and there I go having to find them again until I get annoyed then just kill them.

Some new people just haven't leveled up enough for perks. Level 5 is 2 perk slots available. Level 10 is 3 and Level 15 is 4 perk slots available

Just accidentally had one, was on Garden of Joy and EGC was happening, didn't realize Yun-Jin was healing Claudette where she was unhooked and accidentally led Dredge over. The Claudette was thankfully healed though by the time she got hit again, felt terrible.

Everyone was in basement and I was the first one out. I was on the stairs and my co troller disconnected blocking everyone in, which then the Bubba came and ate us

I wanna do a Killer meme build that only focuses on maxing out your bp categories.

Since BBQ is no longer giving bonus points at the end of the match I am looking for a perk that helps you maxing out Brutality (if there is one).

We got perks that give you extra Deviousness and Hunting points and Sacrifice is earned by hooking so something that helps with Brutality would be great.

There are some addons for killers that give extra bp. Speed limiters are one of them

I'm not the best spirit but decided to pick her up again with iron will being dead. I never runned stridor because i always wanted to not be hand held from a perk that was seen as "undeniably busted". But i decided to give it a shot. Man i would appear much farther away from the additional intensity (it sounded like they were closer) im debating just keeping stridor off. Thoughts?

Edit: (I know its good for the chance you face iron will. But i haven't much since the update. Mainly off the record. But stridor won't help that)

It helps for sure, but it's a huge handicap. If you ever take strider off after playing it for awhile you would be absolutely dogshi at spirt

BPS are unfortunately crowded out due to the high saturation of map offerings in the green rarity.

Also, whoops. Looks like this is another reason the old level 50 bloodwebs were superior.

Map offerings. The biggest waste of inventory space. Bloodyparty streamers should change to ultra rare at this point

For pipping? If you're in a SWF, sure. The thing with killer is that even though it can be harder to pip up at iri (particularly if you play certain killers, the emblem system does not play nice with instadowners, and it also does not reward killers for winning too decisively, which is stupid), your pips are a result of your performance. If you depip, it's because you got wrecked despite your best efforts and you never managed to get a foothold throughout the entire game. Solo queue puts your pips at the mercy of four other players and frequently creates situations where it's impossible to safety pip through no fault of your own gameplay. That's bad. Killer is only ever that inherently screwed, where there was never anything they could have done to win, against a tournament squad or cheaters. A big part of this is because the killer has no teammates that can sabotage or desert them, and because the killer can't be removed from the game before its completion.

I wouldn't hate that solution, but I still don't see why depips should exist at this point. There's plenty of other challenges you can find in DBD and this is a weird area to insist on having one, because... the challenge is "can I have more solid games than games where my teammates threw instantly/the killer hard tunneled?" The meat of this 'challenge' is outside of my control. I'd think that makes it less of a challenge and more RNG.

I'd rather maintain iri being hard to climb while removing the ability to backslide down the ladder. If it was a bad game, you just don't progress, instead of having it erase previous progress. Again, grades measure playtime, not skill. It's not some mighty accomplishment most players can't achieve. This is just a holdover of old game design that unnecessarily punishes solos.

Thats the thing. You can have a 5 minute match as survivor and pip, but if you win as killer with 5 gens left you prob won't pip

  • What if freddy is the man of his Nemesis?

  • I thought she was crawling at first glance didn't even know she had a trap until I read comments. I'm sure she's fiiiiine

Yea this little fix of theres just made the grind much more annoying like - I love dbd and I'll happily defend it being a good game but they totally monkey paws a lot of their patches. Monkeys paw is a meme where to get something good you also get something bad, so we got a "reduced" grind, but they're going to start making bloodwebs more expensive and grindy by increasing the rarity of addons on the bloodwebs, not to mention reducing the grind but removing two perks with great BP benefits, there was absolutely no reason to do this.

I wonder. Do bloody party streams get more common? If so that would be sick but guessing dbd and there bloody party streamers they prob keep the locked up in a safe somewhere and never let them go out in bunches

    1) Can climb over solid objects / walls. It could also include climbing on the ceiling (like a spider) for some stealth options.

    2) Can build walls that can cut loops / sections of the map or make chases harder. There could be meter bar slowly charging and when charged build a big wall that cuts big part of the map for some duration. Can build armor on a generators to slow down survivors that have to remove the armor for few seconds (has a cooldown).

    3) Killer can set up totems that each covers section of the map and gives buffs to the killer and debuffs to Survivors. Different types of totems and each can be placed only once. Survivors can destroy it and killer can place it again.

    4) Killer will send you (could be some Freddy rework lol) to different unique map ehere you have to complete objectives and then you can teleport back. Something like puzzle slowdown power. Each Survivor can be sent there once a long cooldown.

    5) Killer that if he kills a Survivor that Survivor can become his minion and help the killer (something like Zombie but way better) or it will be AI.

Etc. There can be so many ideas I am pretty sure. I think there is plenty of room for unique killers.

Your first one can be pennywise. He takes out his red balloon and floats over pallets and windows. Not necessarily walls though. That would break alot of barrier mechanics.

It's not an issue as killer. Survivor, though? Solo queue is practically a pip roulette. The actions of your teammates and the killer can force depip you no matter how badly, adequately, or well you play. Have fun pipping up when your teammates ragequit, the killer finds you first and hard tunnels, your teammates are completely uninterested in the concept of unhooks, or the killer is AFK.

Like, the fact you're saying you get to Iri 4 is a huge part of the problem. I'll have no issue getting to Iri 4 and then waffle my way up the last 4 ranks, sometimes making little to no progress for two weeks despite constant playtime, because I'm depipping for every pip at that threshold.

There's no reason for depips to exist now that ranks measure playtime. It made sense when they measured skill, but right now they're a relic. I wouldn't care if they raised the threshold for pipping, but going back down the ladder because I got paired with a SWF that threw the game immediately, MMR threw me in with newbies, or I got a basement Bubba/tombstone Myers is just obnoxious. It's just one of those things that rubs salt in the wound and makes a bad night on DBD feel even more frustrating.

Imo survivor is much easier than killer. I think both sides need to be much harder to pip and def don't killswitch depipping

since this .3 update dropped, I've been consistently experiencing awful frame drops throughout every one of my killer matches. (Can't say much on survivor since I haven't played any survivor since the latest patch) These frame drops usually occur while going for basic attacks or using my killer power. These frame drops are so impactful that they can result in me simply missing my attack or completely losing sight of the survivor and they get away.

Is anyone else getting these EVERY SINGLE GAME?

Also there's come other issues crop up like blight's rush effect remaining on screen for the remainder of the trial.

When the initial Mid-Chapter patch went live, I thought this game was finally on the right path. Patches like these should be unacceptable. I think a majority of the (remaining) community have become complacent.

You should go back to 5.0 on console when Nemesis dropped.

For me the frame drops arnt that bad, it seems like everyone gets them so it's not like you are getting chased, your frame drops and the next thing you know you're downed. The killers frames drop too so it's not a disadvantage to you. Just so you know
