This afternoon I tried playing a totally filthy bubba.........just too see how much I could get playing as a ***t
3 games in a row, most I got was 2 kills .......
1 match had .... 1p9 1p10 1p20 and 1pzero
They was clearly a 3man swf and the only kill I got that game turned out to be the pzero.....
Again following a looper , still couldn't catch them as apparently killers being faster only works in a straight line.......
Once the new chars arrive this situation is only going to get more unbalanced........ without teams its much closer balance wise but its definitely survivor centric........

There is a catch-up mechanic named Bloodlust, I highly recommend learning the rules on it. Also when survivors jump the same window in chase 3 times, it becomes blocked. Furthermore I would learn how to shut down loops. There are a lot of great videos on YouTube that will help you with this.
Good luck and don't give up!
Even with bloodlust survivors can endlessly keep their distance whilst in a loop.........

The game is designed to frustrate. It is a mind game. You have to go into matches without any expectation of victory.
Just go with the flow and earn blood points to get the perks you want. Losing means nothing in this game. Just have fun.
But it's not fun......... far from it, And when game after game is frustrating then that's not fun.
If 2 or more survivors are working together the killer is outmatched........
Seems to me that any game that has a high bar requiring a lot of experience and time invested to get anywhere is going to have a hard time attracting new players, from what other people have said in here, it's only going to get worse with the next character update........

I don't think this is unique to Playstation
A lot more people started playing killer after the update.
Since the update if you play as survivor you should get into a game quickly, while before the update it was opposite.
Ah ok, have only tried killer

It takes about 700 hours to start to be able to understand their tactics and have a chance at countering them. You can also watch instructional videos on youtube but probably not for this new version of DBD.
Just do your best and try to learn from your mistakes. Hide your red light. Break pallets to save yourself wasting time trying to mind game. Carefully pick perks that will enhance how you want to play. * Read survivor perk descriptions.
Lean into either gen slowdown, end game perks, anti healing, or chase focused. Multiple perks of the same type will enhance your chances.
And there's the problem, with it being so frustrating I'm not going to get too 700hrs in the vain hope of standing a chance....... and I suspect neither will other players.........

I have been a casual player for a couple of months, mostly at weekends......
Not bothered about positive feedback, just seems to me that playing something that's frustrating will cause people to stop playing.......
I played a good part of yesterday with my son alternating as killers , I think I got 2 kills all day, As soon as you chase one person your looped silly, then they send you messages saying your tunnelling........
Whilst in a loop it's impossible to catch up, seems broken considering a killer moves quicker........

Since the patch its rediculous even being a killer now, going up against a team is nearly impossible to get 1 person and often results in 4 men out......
Looping is terrible, how can the killer really not catch up ??????
I know people will say "just get better" or something similar but new players will try and get instantly frustrated........
Oh and ps5 matchmaking times are now stupidly long just to get a game......
