They are already looking into how to fix this
-
Diminishing returns wouldn't really hurt this play style much, it would just lower the aura reading by 1-2 seconds. Also survivors have some really strong aura reading perks or add-ons too. To name a few:
- Scene Partner
- Alert!
- Eye of Belmont
- Object of Obsession
- Premonition
- Poised
- Babysitter
- Map & Key iridescent add-ons
Thats about 9 perks and add-ons that give really strong aura reading on the killer. Some killers excel at using bamboozle or enduring that doesn't mean it needs a nerf, that's just how the game is.
-
Pyramid Head is in an amazing spot right now, possibly the best he's ever been.
- His power goes up elevation now.
- Sprint Burst and Vigil got nerfed which previously would completely destroy him as prerunning is his whole counterplay.
- He got all new add-ons and majority of them are genuinely viable.
- He has a top 3 chase power
- Solid A tier
I think as long as you can learn how to consistently be hitting his power you can win majority of your matches with ease. He definitely does not need to be given mobility slop.
-
Would be nice, its a bit disappointing after hearing Huntress, Unknowns, Artists, and so ons sound effects, it makes the power feel more rewarding when I get my mini dopamine boost.
-
I haven't seen a Wesker in months, its genuinely so sad to see his fall from grace
-
@Sinocolo said:
yeah but then this will get downvoted due to survivors not wanting the judge to get any sort of buff sadly.
This post is suggesting a major nerf and minor buff btw. Please stop pushing us vs them toxicity for no reason.
-
Yeah, I think most people want Zealous buffed and for exile to work like Pyramid Heads.

Anything that makes Springtrap less like Jason should be more emphasised imo. Even if they change Springtrap this way, Jason is still on top considering his on demand mobility and bigger haste duration.
Yeah that's fair, its unfortunate because Springtraps chase power is so unbelievably strong if you can hit your orbitals. It just gets destroyed by longer range and on demand mobility.
-
I think if a killer like this were to ever come to the game which I really hope it does, would be by doing something like this maybe an Illusion magic type of killer that makes every bodies HUD dissapear, everyone just turns into shadow figures or something,

I think it makes perfect sense when they had nothing to do with actually developing those games that were made a decade before they bought the studio.
Your being very facetious by asking "what language they used" its clearly in my original post and the website for BHVR portfolio. im simply pointing out they are taking credit for games that were "Fans" of (their own words) and simple searches on what and which studios developed and published them and when BHVR acquired those companies. It really isn't rocket science to search up the things you're questioning me about, and not everyone is a developer like you. Transparency is very important.Again, Just pointing out its a little weird why it has that quote and those games listed under the portfolio page.
What I am trying to say is that they currently are actively helping develop the games, so it would not make sense as to why it wouldn't be on their portfolio. I suppose a wording change could help to prevent future mix ups, but I honestly feel it is unneeded.

and what I mean by "Still feels the same as before" is that I have not really seen much of a change. Some matches you clearly have new players against you and some you have people who clearly know what they are doing. Would I say if I had a problem with the old MMR no I did not so to me its the same as before.
Agreed, were in the stage right now where its just random teammates. First game on survivor after the changes I go against the babiest Demo I have ever seen. Then just played a super sweaty game in solos versus an amazing Artist, and my solo queue teammates actually knew how to play the game.
On the killer side, my matches have only been getting slightly harder because people are learning how to dodge Judgments power.

Salvation's Cry needs to be coded like Kindred so that it can't be used against the team with Deerstalker. That is why all the killer builds right now for Judgment are using Deerstalker.
No.. that's not why they're using Deerstalker, its great with Auroras Telereceptor + Lethal Pursuer as it gives you 8 seconds of aura reading on the survivor and since your cool down is 6 seconds you get 2 seconds of free aura for two taps.
Also passive Aura reading is pretty much the best for her since survivors are less likely to know you know their exact coordinates while they're exiting a locker from Narnia. This is why the best build for her atm is Lethal, Deerstalker, Celestial Witness, Gearhead, or some other variation of those perks.

First of all, this is my only account. You are reaching.
Second, why dont YOU do the research I did. They did not publish or have anything to do with the development of those games based on the timeline. They didnt publish them, and they are heavily impllying they did with the language they use! just pointing that out. Weird how you say "they could have published them", without actually doing a simple google search.
Not sure why your defending this company so hard. Just poiting out some strange BHVR (pun intended)Just thought it was pretty funny how there was an account made 20 minutes after yours and it just supports the post you made, typically that means someone made an alt lol
Aside from that, what language did they use? And after some quick Google searches TFP Joins Behaviour Interactive "We'll continue to lead development.. but now, with Behaviors help, we'll be able to grow the team and deliver more.." (post from The Fun Pimp Studio) BHVR has since added job listings for 7 Days to Die to their website, and seem to be helping with development of the game. (Hence why its on the portfolio)
Red Hook Studios & Darkest Dungeon: Same thing happened to this studio as the previous, they decided to partner with BHVR in order to increase the longevity and get more help with developing the game. This stuff happens all the time with other gaming companies and I simply do not see why they would not add it to their portfolio as they take an active part in developing the game.
Not really doing this to defend the company as a whole, I just know that I myself and other game developers do this so it doesn't really make sense imo..
-
Why are we making separate accounts to make your post seem like more people agree with you
It openly states that "We develop AND publish boldy original games.." (BHVR Video Game Portfolio) Just because its on their portfolio DOES NOT mean that they developed it, if it was developed by another company they obviously published it and/or possibly even helped in the development process. (You can also add things to your portfolio that you helped in! You do not have to be the main creator of said thing.)
It clearly states that they also put published games on their portfolio, so they could've published the game and bought out the company at a later date.
-
Its a bug

Maybe but at the same time it could be classic Bhvr "we barely know/understand killers' powers" screw-up. Pyramid Head's visual tutorial still hasn't been updated to account for him now being able to shoot upwards as well so out of the 2, i think the ladder one is more likely.
It was probably just forgotten about tbh, it was added this patch and the tips were being worked on well before that and so my guess it that they forgot to double check PP head. Aside from that this would be a welcome Springtrap change honestly, it would make him a lot closer to Jason if this existed.
Edit: that is technically how his power currently works aside from the 15 second part which I am a bit confused about, since when you aren't carrying the axe it makes you no longer 4.4 and instead 4.6

I think the graphics overhaul will come with a big code remake, which currently the jokes about when one thing gets fixed 2 more things break - is due to the nicknamed "spaghetti code". If that code is being replaced by a modern more solid code, then the game should in theory, be much easier to update and add things without stuff breaking.
Yeah, I'm definitely gonna miss randomly finding bugs that causes Houndmaster to somehow start T-posing and ascending to the heavens, this would obviously trigger from something stupid such as a survivor crouching up and down twice then completing a generator with no interruption.

Good to hear! I'm coming from the PC crowd. Are you able to turn the settings down on XBox? Its really just bringing attention to a comment to see if there's something odd about lower specs and the beam on this patch release.
You unfortunately cannot change any graphics settings in xbox.

I have no idea why they do it. My best guess is they mean well and fck up.
Yeah, I'd rather they just focus on things people actually complain about
-
It likely will not be changed as its a pretty big hassle to change the achievements for 44 killers across 4 different platforms
-
Yeah no, I played one game against Judgment and attempted to get a chase against her she missed every shot and gave up.
-
I think this could work, however the devs did state that they did not want to force people into the p100 grind. Then again I'm sure making every killer get the "new legacy cosmetics" could be fun.

Gaming companies seem to have a sickness. They NEED to improve perfectly good stuff like the UI, some killers (wesker cough cough) or perks.
No one asked for this. No one wanted this. The singled out person who pushed for this needs help. I am sure the professionals at BHVR are capable of caring reliably for their peers.
I genuinely hate how they feel the need to refine or improve things that literally EVERYBODY loves. Everyone likes the little "bum" sounds the ready up button made, it was the perfect size then they shrinked it for a patch, then they quadrupled the size, made it bright red, and removed the bum sound.
Same thing for Wesker people were literally praising BHVR for how fun he was to play as and against him, along with the amount of skill expression required to play him with a low skill floor and high skill ceiling. It really disappoints me how we feel the need to ruin good things.
-
anything but reverting the nerfs, I feel like we wouldn't have to deal with 40 Wesker bugs every patch if we just went back.
-
It should just be a once a year game mode ngl proximity chat for all players

It takes a full 2 minutes for the Gen to regress from 99.99% to 0 Charges. No survivor is going to let the gen regress like that for free for 2 minutes.
I think the perk is fine as is in my humble opinion.
Agreed, I tried to "abuse" this a bit and every match survivors would just progress other generators.

Pyramid head has a literal top 3 close range chase power, Judgement is significantly worse than Pyramid Head at close range. They are pretty much polar opposites in how they play with some overlapping parts like how HexSlugged said.

I mean the Cut Loose change is completely unrelated to the post, but I've wanted to see this Two Can Play change for a while. As it is, there are basically two tiers of hex perks with only a couple in between: top tier perks like Ruin, Blood Favor, etc, and bottom tier perks like Two Can Play, Nothing But Misery, etc. I really would like to see the super weak hexes get buffed (especially a lot of them have ridiculous activation conditions) and possibly some of the top tier ones get slight nerfs.
Cut loose is very unrelated I just wanted to put the idea out there for fun. Completely agree though

I've ran Searchers Skull for every single Judgment game and I have not been blinded a single time. Two can Play definitely could use a buff
It moreso isn't that searchers skull is insane its just that a random add-on on a killer that doesn't even use it well gets a better version of a Hex.

Not to be that guy... but the balance between both roles needs to be looked at, xenomorph can't use stealthy builds because the turrets detects them when undetectable, which is a unhealthy design choice, but also, there's still the instant heal build because of orelas perks and bully squads that roam around but also, it's been this way for a long time, the us vs them (killers vs survivors) has gotten a lot, I see good ideas get down voted most time and I guarantee that they are survivor or killer mains who absolutely hate the other side for whatever reason, hag needs a rework, xenomorphs turrets needs a look, something for bully squads needs to be in place, slugging and gen rushing are still MAJOR issues the game faces, something needs tl change for both sides so this toxicity between both sides can stop, like the unfair events, some events are killer sided while other are survivor sided, the pallet density issue as well, all of that contributes to the "us vs them" perspective...
@Mandy (just in case the quote thing didn't work)
Also please buff Krasue, she isn't doing well ;-;
Imo, the game is in a very balanced state and seems to be improving as years go on.
- Imo, instant heals are not a problem, at least they aren't running 4 anti tunnel perks or 4 genrush perks ect.
- Hag main here: she doesn't need a rework just minor numbers and QoL buffs as you can pretty much pubstomp any lobby even against coordinated swfs.
- Bully squads aren't a problem as they aren't doing gens so its a free win anyways.
- Genrushing itself isn't an issue its more so perks like hyper focus + bardic inspiration that can become problematic.
- Toxicity from both sides will never stop this is a PvP game, plus compared to other communities dbd is pretty tame.
- I used to hate pallet density but honestly as a killer player I've gotten used to it and have simply just gotten better at looping instead.
- Krasue is still in the top 10-12 killer range definitely not in need of buffs as she has auto aim, 4.8 m/s, third person, great mobility, great at tunneling/slugging, she is just extremely boring
@topic
The Krasue was deemed as OP by literally everyone, she was boring then she is boring now. Krasue still is an amazing killer legit nobody plays her because she is not fun to play. I think Judgment is the opposite, she feels a lot more like when The Unknown released where everyone thought he was the new best A tier killer simply because they didn't know how to dodge his power properly.
I personally feel as if Judgment shrines should be changed to act like Pyramid Heads, and should opt to make Zealous a bit more lethal by increasing the curve window slightly as currently its borderline useless in my 5 hours of gameplay.

maybe buy a PS5 and play on console… if you don’t have enough money for a new pc… a console is way cheaper
Ps5s unfortunately have also been inflated in price a bit they cost $600 (digital) and $900 (physical disc). Xbox is a bit cheaper though. (Digital is $499 for 512 GB or $699 for 1 TB and physical is $850 for 512 GB and $800 for 1 TB)
Its still 400-600 dollars cheaper than buying a playable PC but honestly like @mandy said gaming has gotten VERY expensive as of late

I'm going to eat my words like I did with Henry but this killers insane. Maybe I'm blinded by my hate towards Lara Croft and her hidden 4th teachable Lithe but now that survivors have to out mind game me instead of running I feel that Judgment Day has arrived.
Henry has T-Rex arms holding him back but Judgment does not. I can feel out every survivor in a lobby and feel out a weak link with ease compared to other killers. Even Nurse can't just leave chase willy nilly to be like "maybe I should say hi to Dwight in the next province over"
I won't argue, though. I wish my boy Pinhead was seen as weak and not strong so he'd get a buff, but with Judgment I'm happy if you all see her as weak because I'm content where she's at.
Is Henry not insane? I feel like he's most definitely a top 10 killer (same with Judgement imo)

Wait, you're not meant to slingshot like that? What the hell have I been doing then lol?
Also usually that's fine to do, but when you load into forgotten ruins it's just sort of ggs guess I'll die, because there's no real way down and those portals make being 110 a nightmare unless you get the sickest 2tap of your life
I send the beam towards the survivor first then look away and blindly guess where they are without looking at them, the other is where you send it behind you then look at the survivor and shoot it while staring at them. MB for it being a bit hard too read previously
-
Unfortunately, I apparently have been learning slingshots wrong for the past three hours where I have been doing them in reverse where you send it towards the survivor then flick behind you where you can't see them anymore.. BUT it has worked in my favor as NOBODY EXPECTS THE UNEXPECTED!!!
I have asked multiple players about this and it did indeed confuse them when they are used to the more optimal version of the slingshot and therefore its harder to dodge.. Especially since you have to look away from the killer to dodge so you won't know when to dodge, as not even I know when I am going to send out my power.
@GoodBoyKaru said:
i wouldnt say so. theres definitely a learning curve and shadow step hits a lot of builds hard but i think shes pretty good atm. maybe giving a little more flick duration during zealous would be lovely but asides from letting her shoot down so as to go beneath a floor theres not much id change atm.
Also little tip for multifloor maps just send your power to the edge of a stairwell and it will instantly drop down to the lower floor, you can continue to flick from there. Again most people don't expect something from directly above them to suddenly appear on the same floor as them.

Ah I see what you mean, maybe increase distance between the shrines and make survivors spawn at the further of the two shrines from The Judgment?

This killer is VERY strong, its literally a skill issue from the people you've been playing against. I've been getting very consistent 3-4ks, and have lost maybe 5-8 times in a total of 4-6 hours between today and yesterday combined.

To be fair, it does not make much of a difference if OTR is 40, 80, 20 or 1000 seconds of Endurance. A tunneling Killer will just smack you and remove all Endurance with one hit.
The joke is that they still nerfed the Perk despite no Anti-Tunnel measurements.
@Topic:
Never. Content Creators and Killer Mains will always protest if Survivors would get any Anti-Tunnel changes. Because you know, those "M1-Killers" would suffer. Not that you see those at high MMR or anything.
Plus, Content Creators claim that Elusive is the strongest thing in the game. Obviously completely overrated status effect, since it is countered by having eyes. But I guess because of that, the Devs think they did well in Anti-Tunnel and do not need to do more.
I think elusive is quite strong, obviously not as strong as endurance imo. But I feel like we should just do basekit babysitter with 10s of endurance atp.
-
I think its fine, but shrines should be spread out more in order to make it harder to camp. Otherwise you would never have survivors on your side of the map.
-
I mean its the same as Hag, Artist, and Trapper its a killer to which you simply have to completely change your playstyle compared to other killers which is why so many people are having trouble with this killer as you CANNOT play it on autopilot.
Me personally, I have genuinely been LOVING this killer she is so much fun to play as and against. Its likely because of the MMR reset but I haven't been losing much at all. Also I think that it might no joke be a killer that's somehow harder on PC as I've heard tons players say that they prefer playing Judgment on controller (myself included) as it feels incredibly smooth.
Essentially, I don't find this killer to be as hard as people say she is especially once you get good at the basic flicks/slingshots as that will work against 95% of the playerbase from here on out. Then again this is also my personal experience and I play pretty much exclusively ranged killers so I'm pretty used to aiming with projectiles at this point.
Sorry the post was a bit all over the place and rambly but yk.

Strange how Flashlights were finally fixed in the next patch but I'm sure that's just a coincidenceThis was literally 8 YEARS AGO, the fact that people bring up something from over a decade ago that only pertained to one developer is actually insane. Some of the devs used to stream the game but unfortunately not anymore. Then again I don't blame them as they could mess up by leaking things on accident.

with the introduction the chorus of sin chapter, came along a buff for pyramid head (the executioner), this allows punishment of the damned to travel upward.
Anyway, regarding this buff it has surprisingly brought negative gameplay too, it is apparent the mechanic of 'flicking' has now become incredibly inconsistent, often it does not register to the location after the camera has moved post-flick. and instead the punishment of the damned power will go straight on where the original position of the camera was (at pre-flick position).
Not only this but there seems to be a visual bug that makes the camera sway to the right after using punishment of the damned. I do not understand the exact criteria however I've witnessed it occur several times now.
An addition to this discussion, I've noticed a smooth camera transition when flicking which just doesn’t feel right. idk if anyone else has experienced this but not sureif it makes much a difference.
I don't want to be all nitpicky, i love the buff its amazing! however i feel as if this mechanic is essential to being good + in high mmr with pyramid head, and it doesn't feel as satisfying if the current state of the flicking mechanic stays this way.The flicks have been consistent for me and haven't experienced much change using him, the weird camera movement has been a thing for months.

Celestial Witness is too powerful of a perk with this killer's ability to spam beams across the map. Especially when combined with Nemesis and Lethal Pursuer. I've had quite a few Judgement killers after the match agree that it is too powerful, especially in combination with those perks.

same boring power as Vecna, I didn't come to a casino or a shooter like pubg to endlessly strafe, endurance nerf is a mistake lol you act like every person bodyblocks killer and even if they bodyblock most of just play fast killers so not an issue to chase them after, they can punish bodyblocks by removing haste from that survivor but that's it plus how game detect that it was a bodyblock sometimes killers can hit them by mistake again
I was basing it off of my personal experience, typically when someone unhooks in front me the unhooked survivor will body block take chase then attempt to force DS.
