  • People who still have that stupid pustule flower and won't finish the quest.
It's ending 2027 so get it over with.

If you were to compare it to springtrap, he does not get slowed down either, and reloads on the move. Just not as frequently.

Springtrap has a cooldown. Jason does not. Bad comparison.

  • Down vote me all ya want scrubs

  • Survivor main.
Killer mains are Nurse, and pyramid head.
    Love the Judgement.
I tried to use aura read and it's really not very useful.
Hex slow down and predicting where the survivor will be without seeing them is vastly more useful.
Without playing her ya really can't say anything. Her beam is not that easy to use.
Flicking a 90 degree angle shot is really hard and a 180 is double hard. Predicting where a survivor will be when I have to use the camera to force a shot without seeing where I'm looking isn't easy.
I either stomp or get rolled. There's no in between.
If I have them at 2 hook at 5 gen, I let them go.
It's practice for me and bp for them.
Saying Judgement is OP just isn't true. Her power takes a lot to git gud.
    Just pay attention and dodge.

  • My other is when survivors in chase run towards a hooked survivor.
Even if the tile set is bad they are literally making the situation worse.

Theres a few that change on the season but a consistent one is that dolt who chases chases with a flashlight and fails to save or at worst hinders the runner every. single. time. Id get trying once or if the down is right there going for it, but going after a chase in progress repeatedly. AND failing repeatedly? As a killer they have my disdain, as a survivor they have my hate.

They may be just practicing. It's difficult to get those saves. But, it's also frustrating when they aren't contributing to the team.
It's not even worth trying as soloQ.
It's far better to be able to run the killer and complete objectives than waste both for a 20 second~ish save.

Most of your comment explains what The Judgment feels like to play, but my post is about the experience she creates for casual solo-queue survivors and why that experience is making my friends and me play less. Her shots being mechanically difficult does not address the cumulative pressure of the beam, Heresy, Shrines, Exile, lost rescue opportunities, and four strangers having to divide those responsibilities without communication.

More importantly, your own experience reinforces my concern. You said that you miss around 90% of your M2 attempts, use no aura reading, are still learning her, and are nevertheless getting 4Ks and describing the matches as stomps. You accomplish that partly by threatening the M2 and forcing survivors into easy M1 positions. That means her power is producing substantial value even when it misses.

Your opponents becoming overconfident or your MMR still adjusting could contribute to those results, so one account is not statistical proof by itself. However, it seriously undermines the argument that her mechanical difficulty automatically balances her. If someone still learning the killer can miss almost every power attack, use no aura information, and still repeatedly wipe teams through the pressure her base kit creates, that is exactly the kind of lower- and average-level experience I am asking BHVR to examine.

Playing her might teach me how difficult her aiming feels from the killer’s side. It would not answer what her complete kit does to four uncoordinated survivors, which is the actual subject of my post.

    (up vote) btw
Just to be clear, you need to play her.
That pressure from randomly guessing to throw an orbital shot at a random gen while in a chase is only a bonus if you hit with it.

Her M2 slows her down considerably. Instead of 4.4 you're basically 1.1 while casting M2. And the speed of the shot is considerable. 0.6 seconds to redirect is insane for us normies. I simply don't have the reaction time for half a second.
Complaining about the reaction time is silly. Never has her boost been useful.

You're trying to discount my experience without experience.
Play as her, then come back.
If you're only looking at it from a survivor side you're not getting the whole story.

    Your statement is completely contradictory

You said that these killers are "hard" and also that you "hardly play them".

Yet in the same breath you said you stomp every game with them?

    Can you explain this?

You're clearly not worth responding to as you have not clearly not played her as a killer or read (comprehended) anything I said.
Nor have you understood anything I've said.
GG and GL in your next game.

  • All that said; Judgement's power is really difficult to use. Ya, throwing at gens and aura's isn't hard however; using her power mid range during chase is almost just luck. Anticipating where the survivor will be while trying to perform a wacky slingshot that breaks your line of sight is extremely difficult. When I am in close range I often use her power to try and corral the survivor to an M1 position out of fear as I'm unlikely to actually hit with M2.
I'm more likely to get a M2 while the survivor is running away from me. The angle is more shallow and much easier to anticipate. 30 and 60 degree angles are much easier to manage than a hard 90 at close range. It's also easier while the survivor is running away because the distance they are trying to gain actually plays in my favor. Due to the charge and distance and angle, it's much easier to get that second hit since they are now in the kill box. Landing the M2 at close range is just not something most people can do unless they are overdosing on caffeine.
While I understand the OP's frustration I would suggest they try to play her and attempt these close range shots.
I don't use aura read for the same reason I don't take most add-ons as Nurse.
You can only really learn these difficult killers by getting a feel for it. The add-ons ruin that feel.
The only way I can explain that is Nurse training.
Knowing your exact distance from a gen you can perfect blink to in a single blink. It's just kinda an estimation of the size of the gen on your screen vs how long it takes to max charge a blink.
It's similar to the Judgement in the sense it's a charge time vs distance issue.

It took me about 4 days with zero aura read to start getting 4ks. I still miss 90% of my M2's. I'm just better at using M2 to corral survivors to an M1 position. While my MMR is catching up with me; the only reason I'm still getting 4ks is because the survivors in my games are to cocky. They get 4 gens and flashlight me 8+ times and through all that attempt to bully me only to ruin themselves at the end. They stay way to close and I only need to M1 them.

I'm sure this will change soon. I'll end up losing more as my MMR is raising faster than I can learn her power effectively.
It really is easy to dodge. Unless they are in that weird kill box distance of around 30m. The charge time and distance just makes 30m the easiest to aim at.
Closer than 30m is really hard to aim at. After 30m, just dodge.

I'm a survivor main but I love Nurse and Judgement. I just don't have the energy to play them regularly and I get tired of the stomp. I don't even play Nurse anymore cuz people hate it so much. If I do, I let 2 survivors go if they are only at 4 gen. I understand the frustration. I also find learning difficult high skill killers fun.

Judgement is my new Nurse. I'm not there yet, but, getting to the point where I can land those M2 shots at 90 degree angles easily is a goal. It's just unfortunate I'll no longer want to play at that point cuz everyone will hate it so much.

  • I was asking for clarification, not complaining.
The downvote crowd can suck a big one.
Can't even ask advice on this toxic trash.

  • "- make the pendant requirement to being sent back to the fog realm only 5 floating skulls not whatever it is now theres no reason this new killer should be inhaling 4k after 4k with no perks required to play her"

Open the gear and read how exile works. You fundamentally don't realize exile is just a mini game on second hook.
Using the pendant will never bring you back. It just reduces the timer as getting hit increases it. It's really no different than just doing nothing on second hook. It just reduces your timer if you do nothing.

  • @Hoopme said:

Judgement basically has the Singularity problem requires a ton of effort and Mastery but when that is achieved there is basically nothing Survivors can do to beat em

Isn't that the point of Nurse though?
Learning how to use her takes a massive effort.
BTW, never take addons if you want to learn Nurse.
The skill ceiling is really high so why shouldn't those that put the effort in benefit.
As a survivor main, and learned Nurse, I'm loving everything about this killer.
I lose most of the time cuz I haven't learned how to flick her/his power.
Once I learn that, I'll at least be 50/50.
Nurse takes so much mental energy I only get 1 stomp out of 5 games.
    This killer is similar.
Judgement is more Nurse 2.0 than people were saying about Henry. Vecna 2.0 just doesn't have the same skill ceiling that Nurse has.
It's not a straight forward aim pull the trigger.
You have to get the feel for it.
Getting perfect blinks with Nurse isn't easy. And trying to slingshot Divine Light is worse.

  • Skill issue.
Yeah, some of the perk combos are kinda OP.
However, that doesn't change the fact Judgement's power is really hard to learn and really easy to dodge.
Many of the elements of this killer are great.
Anti-BM, anti-flashlight, etc. And that's only true based on the addons they take.
Making 90 degree right angle trick shots are extremely difficult.
Even 30 degree shots, I only land 5% of the time.
    Survivor main.
Exile is an interesting mechanic. While it guts most perks that require a hook, rip kindred, the mini game reduces doing nothing while on hook.

  • @MechWarrior3 said:

I'm sorry, but what are you talking about…

Like all the other posts; they are frustrated it's not an easy to learn pay to win killer.
And yes, I know you're being sarcastic.

  • The easiest way to stop most tunneling without preventing people from doing it is to take away the bp reward.
Same person hooked a second time 0 bp.
Same person hooked a third time 0bp and 0bp for the kill.

  • TLDR; hard af but really fun. Only get 5% of my trick shots.
Best add on is the grey anti flashlight.
Took all day at low MMR but getting 4ks now.
    No tunnel, no slug.
Pretty balanced killer. If M2 was effective before 10m it would be broken af.
Pretty easy to loop and the trick shots are satisfying if you can get one.
If you just want to stomp buy Jason.
I was wary at first and lost a lot to start. However, She can be pretty oppressive without a single slow down perk or tunneling/slugging.
She just takes a learning curve.
Took a while to get adept.
Discordance, Lay waste, Languid Touch, Nurses Calling is pretty devastating.
Survivors can't haste me, I can patrol every gen, and i get aura read on important targets I can blast.
It's a learning curve but, I don't need an red add on to stomp.
I don't normally stomp cuz I'm a survivor main and hate garbage tactics.
If I can stomp without tunnelling/slugging/ proxy camp with this high skill killer; yall just need practice.

  • A different take on the subject or rather my 2 cents.
Rather than nerfing anything; take the reward away.
If someone is hard tunneling at 5 gen just remove their bloodpoint reward.
If the second hook is the same survivor 0 bp.
If the 3rd hook is still the same survivor 0bp and no kill bp.
This doesn't prevent anyone from from doing it.
They still gain their desperately needed MMR and ego trip.
They just suffer less blood web and won't be able to afford all those red add-ons for every match.
All players only gain bp by performing actions. Preventing a player from performing actions is the ultimate problem.
Generally, tunnel/slug killers earn less bp.
It's also frustrating getting tunneled out and earning less than 10k bp.
Make a scenario where the killer earns less than 10k bp.
This would instantly reduce people from hard tunneling as they aren't really earning anything.

Random, sorry, but have you been playing Carnival Hunt? Saw someone with your name on a live stream the other day

Actually yeah, I have been playing Carnival Hunt.
It has similar problems with soloq only it's much harder for a variety of reasons.
    Although it's much more engaging.
However, due to the extreme learning curve and bully nature of the players; I'm not sure they will be able to keep the small player base they have without addressing the same problems dbd has.
For instance, over inflated MMR from exploiting mechanics who then complain when they aren't winning every game perfectly.
At least, they show you your MMR.

Just talkin' cuz it's frustrating getting down voted for everything and watching very little constructive feedback.

I fear you've had a common theme lately with your discussions/comments that killers are narcissistic sweaty tryhards (your words) for simply having anxiety for wanting to perform well in their role as well as this recurrent mention alongside points you make that you have a job, as if to hammer home that it makes your view more valid and/or to demean. This was also well communicated to you previously that that was exactly why you were downvoted, so your "very little constructive feedback" statement is simply false. To this specific point, my constructive feedback is maybe chill out with the belittlement and people will be more willing to engage with you in a meaningful way.

As for your main point, which I believe is that everyone should treat 2v8 as a casual/fun mode; fun for you is not the same fun that others have. Others have fun winning their games. Some have fun with a balance of playing hard, but still having moments to be goofy (this is me). Some have fun fully throwing the game to run around and be silly with the survivors (my duo). Your measure of fun in this game is not the bar that we are all held to just because you have a job, have little time to play, and seem particularly abhorrent to killers killing too well.

Hope that was constructive enough this time.

    Typical killer gaslighting.
My experience means nothing to yours.
I'm not high MMR and yet every 1v4 game is slugging for the 4k and tunneling at 5 gen.
    I'm a mid MMR soloq.
Exploiting game mechanics is not free card to ruin everyone else's experience or an excuse.
If your "fun" is preventing someone from playing then those aspects should be addressed.
There are more bully killers than bully squads.

  • First rift in a while I won't even bother to get the free stuff.
Besides it being un-inspired; I can't stand wraith.
I dont' particularly dislike killers as a survivor main. I dislike playstyles.
Easier cheese killers are obviously easier to exploit and BHVR does nothing to address this issue.
Only try hard cheese brains play wraith. Zero skill bing bong.
I'd rather play against nurse cuz it's so rare.
Unless it's 2v8 cuz his power is negated with so many targets.

  • I don't have killer anxiety cuz I'm not narcissistic.
    I don't expect a 4k.
    I'm ok with losing.
Yes, I'm frustrated when survivors act like jerks when they win.
I don't have some complex that forces to get the 4k.
I just want to play in a fair way.
I play killer less than survivor based on life.
I don't have the time investment.
I'd rather a chill survivor match cuz I only have 15 minutes to play than a boring try hard sweaty try hard trash match.
Some of us have jobs and lives.
I can't devote that time to boring entertainment.
It's easy to eat dc when you don't have the time.
I'm disappointed in the quality of players.
You don't actually gain anything from stomping. Learn basic math.

  • It's not a skill issue. It's a math issue.
    Time vs. objective. vs alternate.
Only trolls that think this is survivor sided and are not playing survivor and facing these try hards.
Even Gen rushing is a knife edge.
    It's not fun.

  • If they survive it's always based on luck, not benevolence. It's also based on hope, not some gamer b.s. It's a story telling device, not how you feel about it.

  • Jason is just a lazy killer.
He brings nothing to the table.
He's just a combination of other killers powers.
Even Chucky and Alien required some effort.
The player base might be large but BHVR will lose it quick if they continue with half measures for a cash grab.

  • Jason needs a massive nerf.
I've been hit by a spear through tiny cracks between blocks. It's insane.

The biggest problem is his reload has no animation and he can pick up from miles away from a station.
Out of everything, he needs to stop when reloading.

Ghouls was a stupid addition as he's not even a killer but, I don't even want to play against this trash.

All Jason has to do is Hex: Ruin and the game is over.

Until he's nerfed, I'm out. It's boring AF.
    Later.

It's simple math. If survivors don't want to play, killer ques are longer.

  • Boring OP power creep pay to win tunnel trash.
I knew long before his power was going to be just popping up out of no where as that's kinda the thing with the movies.
    However, the spear throwing…. dumb
New killers haven't been fun for a long time. BHVR just panders to infuencers rather than balancing the game. Cash grab trash.

  • If you need to 4 man slug, proxy camp, or tunnel at 5 gen; you're a trash killer.
    It's not a strat.
It's an entitled selfish ego trip taking advantage of an unbalanced system.
It's a handycap for killer mains that hate survivor because it's so miserable due to this crap and refuse to acknowledge it.
I'll ruin cuz I'm not great with a killer, not because I expect the 4k.
This try hard mentality is the problem.
Perks are ment to help you, not make you a &*()$ing god at the game. (that no one cares about at the end of the day)

Nobody hates you if you don't get a 4k. Get over yourself.
They hate you for cheap trash playstyle regardless of the killer.

  • Killers tend to draw specific personality types. This is reflected in their play styles.

    1. Wraith: Zero skill try hard trash
    2. Cannibal/Twins: slug slug slug senora, slug it all the time, camp camp camp senora, camp it all the time
    3. Ghoul: Pay to win
    4. Clown/Houndmaster: Proxy camp champs, I mean chumps
5: Springtrap: All of the above plus door camp exploit
6: Onryo: Specifically, those that just teleport as much as possible to get free kills

Irritational killers: Unknown, Singularity, Vecna 1, Nightmare: Their powers are more irritating than fun. I acknowledge they take some skill but it's just boring to play against if they are good.

I mostly dislike playstyles rather than killers. Those who just use a killer and build to never lose irritate me the most.

I don't expect to win as survivor but I want a F$%^&* chance. I never expect a 4k as killer cuz I consider it a learning experience.
Those who just expect the outcome are the problem.

  • Dumbest pay to win killer that should have never been a killer.

He's not even a killer, he's an anti-hero. It's as genre destroying as adding Deadpool as a killer.

    It's a cash grab.

Everything about this ghoul being added is garbage.

Rather play against nurse. At least nurse takes some skill.

  • Newest cheat reverts 50% of your gen progression randomly for no reason.
50% of games has a subtle cheater.
I don't care about Jason, I won't buy him, he's a weak construct in the limitations of the code.
    Fix your ######### please.
Ban epic games. You should have known better than to offer something for free without anti-cheat.
This is the slow death. Greedy morons.

  • @cogsturning said:

Was playing killer tonight. Decided to try a few survivor matches. Fourth one was a 4man slug at 5 gens about 3 minutes into the match. Went back to killer immediately. If that's how they want to act, I'll pass. At least as killer I don't have to deal with anyone's power tripping whims.

That's what I mean… no one wants' to play survivor if it's miserable
    I'd switch to killer too.

  • @Reinami said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/467439/slugging-is-out-of-control

Have you thought about maybe considering the reason that killers are slugging rather than just immediately going to "we need to get basekit mechanics to counter it"?

Have you considered that the need to get a 4k to the point of relying on cheap tricks and tactics and simply learning that killer is too much work?
Get mad at nurse all ya want but it took me months to git gud. Without trash tactics.
You either want to play or you want to win.
    I just want to play.
Meta is boring. No one wants to play that.
Being forced into meta isn't our fault. And we dont' actually have to play that way.

  • @tjt85 said:

I mostly agree with your "not possible" list, due to the technical challenges they'd have to overcome. Not unless they can find a way to make their interactables play nice with chest/tile spawns, anyway. But I think they will try with Alien, especially if we get another Disney/Fox licensed Killer. I also think Pig would be horrible to go against with a partner to harass Survivors off her Jigsaw Boxes (that play style is already pretty annoying when it's just her alone). Dredge might not be welcomed by 2V8 Survivors with his nightfall mechanic making maps difficult to navigate.

I still think they could've made Legion work if they'd tried a little harder and I will die on that hill but whatever, I've said my piece at this point (I honestly think they were fine as they were).

Ghoul, Doctor, Clown, Trickster, Skull Merchant, Knight, Plague and Singu have way too many haters and would be disqualified on that basis. Pinhead would join this list if BHVR still had the Hellrasier license.

Hag, Artist, Krasue, Twins and Houndmaster have pick rates that are far too low to consider.

That leaves Bubba, Demo and Unknown. I think all of these Killers would be easy enough to adapt and seem to be reasonably popular with both sides.

I'm not sure pick rates are as much of a problem as much as implementing them.

Yes it's a waste if no one uses them but, it might be novelty just to add them for the memes/shits and giggles.

  • ahhhh.. I forgot Dredge.

Not particularly a problem. Although, it seems there are less lockers in 2v8 maps imo

  • @SoGo said:

The queues are always a perfect example of why 2v8 should never be added permanently.

No one wants to wait half an hour for one killer match.

Additionally, with 2v8 being a 2-4 week thing that comes every once in a while, it retains a bit of novelty. You lose that if it's a permanent addition

    SMH.
Que times are longer because more people WANT to play killer.
Easier to find survivors to smack.
Less chance of bullying due to insta hook.
Faster killer movement and power speed.
Less BM due to risk and less BM due to trying to save everyone. I know I'm not going to the other side of the map if I'm at an open exit gate.
It's a more chill killer experience.

And no, not all killers can be in this mode cuz DUH! Killers with "stations" like pig, onryo, alien, etc have to be coded into the maps. We only got 2 new maps since the last 2v8. They are not going to code a killer for these larger maps they already have to code.

  • @zonkednb said:

Ghostface can perform. A skilled Ghostface on an indoor map can be a menace.

The reason he's seen as weak is how counterable he is. After the initial surprise, survivors can prepare. One survivor can even just follow Ghostface around constantly knocking him out of stealth, and if Ghostface retaliates to this, that survivor only needs to deal with an M1 chase.

    If you don't use M2 .. it's not really a counter

  • Love the tonics.
2v8 should be less competitive and give survivors an edge.
Survivors are tired of getting stomped in 1v4.
The constant meta try hard is tiresome.

  • Chaos Shuffle is garbage.
Survivors are put at a severe disadvantage while try hard killers just stomp regardless of their perks.
Tunnel at 5 gen, slug for 4k, proxy camp. Rinse repeat ad nausium.
Boring try hards have zero skill.
3 of 5 games the killer was cheating as well.
100% of the time, if you can't type in chat, someone is cheating.

  • Nerf Ghoul into oblivion.
He's nothing but a money grab.
He's the only killer that is not a an actual "killer".
    He's an anti-hero.
    Fortnite garbage in dbd.

  • The cheating is seriously bad. Survivor main. Was playing killer and the hook sabo instant is bad.
I have no reason to play it's just cheats back and forth.

  • what about other server locations?

  • yeah.. it died… I can't get in either poo emoji

  • 100% of the time. If someone is cheating I can't type in chat or type in reporting. It auto deletes to prevent reporting.
Should be an obvious thing but bhvr is lazy and unwilling to address cheating issues.

  • @Wezqu said:

There seems to be some active cheat advertisement going on in the game thats why there is more cheaters as they are either the ones advertising the cheats or they are the people who buy them. There would not be cheats in the first place if there is no people who would buy them. Still they get bored eventually as cheating just makes the game get more stale faster.

    Stale for intelligent people maybe.
Cheaters don't actually have a sense of what makes a game fun.
    Rules make a game fun.

    It's seriously bad.
Pointless to complain about tunnel/slug/camping when they can just do whatever they want regardless.
    Make the game server side.
It's the only way reduce cheaters.

Nobody pays attention to these types of posts.
Change your play style and perks.

  • 50/50 > 60/40
It takes 4x more survivors than survivors for a match. The more survivors feel like rounds are oppressive, the less they want to play survivor which drives up killer times.
Neither side should be an automatic win.
There's nothing wrong with being competitive however, balance should take precedence when it's a party game.
No one likes getting rolled yet, in the same regard, neither side should have a clear advantage.
While the idea that killers should win most of the time is a nice idea; in practice it reduces those who are willing to play the losing side.
Either it's a party game or a competitive game. It can't be both.
    1v4 should be ranked.
2v8 should be permanent for casuals.
And more important, bugs should be fixed.
    IMO
