MMR is an excuse for bad killers to complain.
No one can see MMR.
They just assume they are high MMR because they didn't get a 4k.
It's not an argument or a stance on an opinion.
Can't show MMR cuz the cry babies would realize they aren't that good.
Can't show MMR cuz it would make the try hards try harder.
Can't make a ranked mode for try hards to try hard.
So here we are… just can't play to have fun. Have to win regardless every round.
Make winning a reward and it becomes miserable.
Make winning pointless and it becomes pointless.
Individual tome rewards per character was better at mitigating the sweat. IMO
It forces players to try new things that are difficult.
If anything, the new quest system sucks. IMO
A more robust quest system for every character would incentivize alternate play and bring more variety. IMO
Having a legendary ladder for a character is more meaning full than just throwing bp at a character. IMO -
Tunnel trash killers.
Killer can take any perk and still get a 4k.
Survivor is locked into taking anti this and that. Survivors have to meta while killers don't.
It's that simple.
No sympathy for the power role.
Whining about a killer not obliterating every round is simply ignorant. -
Don't slug and then it won't be a problem perk.
-
Killers DC because the poor things didn't win.
Survivors DC because they are being treated like punching bags by both a bad system and weak skilled killers that are taking advantage of broken systems.
It's really that simple.
I've never DC'd as a killer. I consider it a learning experience if I get rolled.
The clear advantage of the killer role makes the argument of killers DC'ing a moot point.
If it's Krasue with 4 slow down perks; I'm out. There's literally no counter play or strategy against it.
Punishing survivors for not wanting to waste their time for bad mechanics is a terrible answer and won't work. I won't and can't be forced to play an obvious miserable game.
The anti-tunnel was too harsh but a good idea. Although, I'd limit it to 3 new hooks. 6 was crazy and even 4 is too much.
There was nothing wrong with the anti-slug. If anything I'd change it to a radius thing instead of a time thing. If the killer is on the other side of the map they are obviously either intentionally letting you get picked up or intentionally trying to slug everyone. That way, bully squads can still get slugged. -

re-installing.. hoping that works

I think you missed the part where the challenge is more interesting than winning

I don't have to like a killer.
If her dog actually worked, it would be a free hit; every hit.
Great lore, dumb killer. -

There literally the same format.
Tunneling is Killers doing there Objective fast
Gen Rushing is Survivors doing there Objective fast
The problem with Gen Rushing is that depending on the map, Killer and player Skill in a match determines the match results.
With tunneling no longer being able to be done (depends on the patch notes Numbers) will make matches much more difficult. Gen Rushing should be next on the anti list QOL because now there will barely be any way to counter play it sense killers can't rush there Objective anymore.
It amazes me how both sides argue over the same topic of Rushing Objective when Tunneling and Gen Rushing can basically counter both playstyles.
It only depends on how the match plays out.
I do think this Patch is BS because some Killers can't use there power the way it was intended to be used because of the 6 hook requirement. Like there are Killers who have abilities that kill survivors instantly regardless being hooked or not. Meaning them Killers will never be able to be played properly unless these changes are Ajusted for them killers.
So you want me to wait to work on a gen? For your benefit?
When does this not make sense? -
I never complain when I play killer. If I get rolled; I accept it. I need to get better.
The killer role is so much more complex than survivor IMO.
And by complex I don't just mean understanding the killer power; but using to force pressure without perk influence.
My mains' Nurse and Executioner I use 1 slow down perk. I'm not god tier killer. And I don't care to be. Other than 1 slowdown perk the rest are for fun.
I main Deathslinger in 2v8 when I play that role cuz, it's fun.
It's not the meta; sometimes I lose, it's still fun.
In fact Deathslinger IMO is more fun in 2v8 cuz there are more targets.
It should be about fun. for both sides. I don't need a 4k to have fun.
And teabagging morons don't bother me.
The better I get, the less teabagging I see… cuz they are dead. -
Watching all the killers lose their minds has been entertaining to watch.
Killers abuse a system that wasn't meant to be used that way and then complain that survivors should just be punching bags.
If the game was meant to be 1v3 then it would be.
If slugging everyone was meant to be a thing, there would be no hooks.
Killers have no argument here. They only care about winning. They aren't interested in actually gitting gud. They just want to abuse technicalities for the 4k.
The idea that they aren't as good as they think without abuse is driving them mad.
IMO the the killer role is more stressful. There's much more that you have to keep track of. That is not an excuse to use cheap tactics. It should be an incentive to get better.
You can't expect to pick up every killer and be good. It takes practice. It should be a badge of honor not using a slowdown perk. Let alone 4.
It's absurd how the extreme are trying to justify tunneling. They are literally saying it's ok to ruin everyone's game for their own entertainment. The mental gymnastics to attempt to justify that is asinine.
Game balance is not a bad thing. -
The only opinion I have is that 6 hook states seems a bit harsh. Should lower it to 5 and see how that plays out.
-
Maybe the wait times wouldn't be so miserable if soloq wasn't so miserable.
-
Executioner, he gains zero benefit but, the extra killer instinct… would still not be all that great.
Dredge, nightfall would just be entertaining
Doctor, screams and reveal
Clown, after nerf yellow vial speed bs.
Killers that should never be in 2v8, Legion, Plague, Nightmare, Twins, Xeno, Singularity, Onryo, Animatronic, Demidog, Pig, Hag, Cenobite, Meyers.
The reasons are their powers are either OP for 2v8 or simply don't work.
Plague is worse than Legion. Should Never be a 2v8 option EVER!
Singularity would be a little too OP as well.
Meyers would be lvl 3 in the first 15 seconds of a round due to how many targets.
Some of the mechanics would never work, Nightmare, Pig, Animatronic, Onryo, Xeno.
Some of the mechanics would be pointless, Twins, Hag, Demidog, Cenobite.
The setup time renders them useless or they are too easily countered.
No opinion, Vecna, Houndmaster, Dark Lord, Bubba, Knight, Trickster, Artist
These could maybe work? However, there are issues I'd rather not get into the weeds about.
edit: I don't understand Meyers 100% but all 8 exposed fast is bad. -
Same here, 2v8 survivor isn't working. Connection with host could not be established.
-
I'll do that tonight after work

hmm… would need some mechanic to remove poison…
or maybe not considering it's a single target instead of spreading it all over the map. -
Can the broken key open chests? If it can, it would make it less useless.
-
*sigh* It has nothing to do with "focal point" or the aura of the hook. Wiggling alone pulls smaller killers side to side while it doesn't affect larger killers at all. I don't get stuck on corners as a larger killer. If they have boil over it's much worse for a smaller killer. As a larger killer, boil over still doesn't have much of an effect.
Use Boil Over, Power Struggle, and Flip Flop for a while and you'll see what I mean. -
Barely earning any bp as survivor. Every match we are getting stomped.
Survivors not doing their jobs or even trying cuz of one stupid thing. And I suspect it is because all the real survivors are sick of the garbage. So we are left with all the trash.
As much as I want to earn the event stuff; It's not worth the frustration. -

At a certain point, bloodpoint farming is useless. Not every player cares about having 10 p100s. Most players that have been playing for years have stockpiles of every item or addon that they'll ever use. Most players who are veterans at this game have p3 on all killers and survivors, so perk unlocks are a non issue. Every new DLC, I just dump 3.5 million per new character and then the DLC is over pretty much. That's all it takes to unlock p3.
My honest opinion is that bloodpoints are a vestige of old dbd. It is a useless system and should have been removed a long time ago. It is the only carrot on a stick incentive for people to log in anymore, when in reality, bloodpoints should be renamed to chore-points. It's funny because the people who insist on bloodpoint farming are usually the ones throwing matches that are completely winnable, prioritizing cleansing a dull totem over doing the last gen because they "don't have enough boldness points."
You're right about chore points.
Anymore, the only reason to even log in is for progression towards incentives like a skin etc.
It's so sweaty and so toxic, I'd rather do anything else. The carrots are the only reason I bother however, I don't actually have to put up with their anti-bs when they won't address toxic behavior.
It shouldn't take a year for anti-tunnel and anti-slug.
They base kit'ed BT and killed the perk. They can simply, and are most likely going to do it again. Cuz really, what other option is there. They will just base kit unbreakable and babysitter. But, a year? pfft.
They are just being lazy. And I don't actually have to put up with it. -
I don't understand this. I haven't gotten crows once since the update. Do your job maybe.
-
This is a multifaceted problem that isn't just survivor or killer based.
Simply put, I work for a living. I don't have time to deal with wastes of time. If you waste my time, it's go next.
Just getting kills doesn't earn the most BP. And I'm not talking about farming. A killer can literally earn 30k bp without killing anyone. BP is based on performing actions. If you prevent me from playing the game I don't feel as though I should wait for you to play out your power fantasy. It's really that simple.
I don't go next often but, I shouldn't be prevented from doing so. Killers that just want the 4k by any means necessary are the problem.
Slugging isn't a tactic.
Tunneling isn't a tactic.
Camping isn't a tactic.
It's lazy.
They just want to win without committing to learning that killer.
I generally get a 4k with Nurse however, my rate is 50%~ish because it took so long to learn.
I don't camp.
I don't tunnel.
I don't slug.
But, if you're an easy target, you did it to yourself. ( if you just went back to the gen I just kicked, it's your fault)
I don't blame SWF. I blame try hard killers.
Try hard to get better. Don't try hard to make people miserable.
It's frustrating to get rolled.
Just means it's not my perks or my gameplay. Just means GG.
I'm not perfect at the game and I'd wish people would quit acting like they know what to do in every situation.
I'm ok with being 50/50% cuz I'm not not winning anything. Quit pretending like each match is a tournament.
Had some asshat survivor get pissed at me (teammate) for not knowing their perks and how to play around them. How stupid are these pricks. I literally can't see your build even as a survivor. Worst part was the killer was camping, tunneling and chose to blame a teammate for ignorant reasons.
I don't expect to survive every round. I don't expect to kill everyone every round.
I expect to be able to play the game.
If I'm forced to run the same perks instead of the perks I want to try; you're preventing me from playing the game as intended.
I shouldn't have to take anti tunnel etc. every damn game.
I WON'T take more than 1 slow down perk as killer cuz, everyone wants to play.
However, if you tea bag me mid game, you're dead. You're literally the problem.
I can't wait for anti-tunnel and anti slug updates. These Killers are toxic.
If you can't get adept without that crap, git gud.
Survivors don't actually get mad with good killers. Using cheap tactics is not being effective. It's just a power trip.
I NEVER use BBQ, Franklins, or NOED. 90% of the time is a Wraith or a Bubba. It's weak and pathetic. I HATE those 2 killers because they are always the same try hard personality. I will never play either of those killers or those perks.
I play the same perks on Executioner every time. It's fun. Survivors figure it out after 2-3 minutes but, I still get some jump scares and if they roll me; it's fine. We all just want to have fun.
Trail of Torment, Distressing, Unnerving Presence, Dead Mans Switch.
I shouldn't feel like I should meta killer or survivor.
Quit feeling like you have to run 4k trash.
Just play. =) -

- in a certain sense the same thing can be said the other way around. if I'm a killer and I have problems managing "exhaustion perks" ... I'm forced to use "mindbreaker" or "languid touch", but I'd prefer to use more fun perks or a gen slowdown perk. It's the nature of the game, move and countermove
How do you manage an exhaustion perk as a killer? Make sense first.

We shouldn't be encouraging go next. So them not being able to go next on the ground is irrelevant.
Survivors have perks to show teammates when someones slugged just like Kindred accomplishes.
Not only do they have agency while slugged, it's significantly more, like I listed in my original post. You can do many things while slugged, but nothing while hooked. The lack of agency is being hooked, not slugged.
Why is it not okay to slug and then go to the other side of the map? I'm hearing again that it's disliked, but not a good reason why.
It's not hijacking the game lol. You can do more on the ground than on the hook.
Earn max BP without killing? Have you compared the BP differences in this? You get much less by slugging. So no, it is not rewarding them.
If you consider slugging preventing people from playing the game, then hooking is preventing people from playing the game. This isn't an actual argument.
You have a 4% chance to escape first hook each attempt for a total of 16% without perks. You have 0% chance to escape slug without perks.
So, no, you don't have more agency. -
You're all ignoring base kit on this subject.
Hook is not remotely the same as slug.
There is no perk for slug like Kindred.
Survivor has no option of "go next" while slugged.
I'm not justifying go next, yet I am pointing out a slugged player has zero agency other than DC penalty.
Slugging is fine when, killer knows it's your last hook, survivor is trying to flashlight, etc.
It's not ok when killer goes to the other side of the map or 4k hatch prevent.
It's literally hijacking the game. Forcing others to do nothing while killer gets to play.
You can literally earn max bp without a single kill. I'm not endorsing farming as it's kinda boring but it's justified when a survivor screw's the rest of their team. <10k survivor and 20k killer points is pathetic.
You earn points from actions and chases. Not just killing. Not just surviving.
Preventing people from playing the game from actions is the toxic.
Mic drop. -
The problem is when you try to unhook someone when the killer is right there.
Instead of unhooking after the hit, you pick up the gas can instead. Thus, you just get downed.
It's a bad mechanic.
The option of taking trading a hook is taken away from a bad mechanic.
