Springtrap Changes Incoming?
In the killer showcase for The Animatronic, there is a description regarding his fire axe that is not present in actual gameplay.
As of Chorus of Sin's release, Springtrap is 4.4 m/s until he throws the axe and indefinitely becomes 4.6 m/s until recalled.
However, the showcase describes this:
When the fire axe is embedded in the environment:
- The Animatronic becomes 4.6 m/s for 15 seconds.
The description for when an axe is embedded in a survivor implies he only gains 4.6 speed so long as a survivor is struck carrying the axe. It looks as though he may recieve some interesting changes to his gameplay in the near future, and I hope this includes the security doors in a meaningful way.

We'll see, might just be another inconsistency, people have found a few. If that is the case I hope they treat my boy carefully :(
Maybe but at the same time it could be classic Bhvr "we barely know/understand killers' powers" screw-up. Pyramid Head's visual tutorial still hasn't been updated to account for him now being able to shoot upwards as well so out of the 2, i think the ladder one is more likely.
It was probably just forgotten about tbh, it was added this patch and the tips were being worked on well before that and so my guess it that they forgot to double check PP head. Aside from that this would be a welcome Springtrap change honestly, it would make him a lot closer to Jason if this existed.
Edit: that is technically how his power currently works aside from the 15 second part which I am a bit confused about, since when you aren't carrying the axe it makes you no longer 4.4 and instead 4.6
Anything that makes Springtrap less like Jason should be more emphasised imo. Even if they change Springtrap this way, Jason is still on top considering his on demand mobility and bigger haste duration.
Yeah that's fair, its unfortunate because Springtraps chase power is so unbelievably strong if you can hit your orbitals. It just gets destroyed by longer range and on demand mobility.
Something else I noticed is Wraith is also a little different. Faster uncloak Im not as sure but it looks faster than normal, but when they show him vaulting/breaking it most definitely is faster than base. Makes me think they might make some of his add ons basekit
