I hope a dev can clarify on this. I found out base Springtrap still has the stompy footsteps, but only if you walk slowly with a controller. Despite that, it's incredibly quiet, and it doesn't matter as his footsteps change into a shoe-wearing killer once you hit top speed. It's bugged me since this sfx issue happened on Sinister Grace's release patch, amd while it overtly shadowbuffed Springtrap's stealth capability, it sounds and feels wrong to not hear the weight of his metallic feet.

Also there is a huge difference on using speakers vs headphones, im not sure if you use speakers GFM but if you do, it could be the issue.
The bug is pretty easy to notice, speaker or headphones in use.
-
I should clarify on what you hear to be honest. You'll still hear faint metal shifting, but his more noticeable stomping is absent and it sounds like a survivor moving. The audio is bugged in both POVs.
Surely it couldn't be port specific, could it? I'm on PS5 and it is consistent.

Idk, from the survivor POV he is still very loud, I played against one yesterday and I could hear the stomping, from killer pov it is quieter.
-
@squbax said:
It was actually a fix, in the most recent patchnotes they mentioned they were louder than intended.
The 9.2.1 fix actually did nothing to fix the issue and I'm baffled how it fixed anything at all for Springtrap's audio specifically. This "fix" happened after he was already bugged, and as of the current patch, he is still insanely quiet.
-
Hopefully this is done in good time. While the aesthetic of the killer is still very much there, it feels funny witnessing his large frame not making much of a sound.

As far as I know nemesis’ model would ported from the RE3 remake (obviously scaled down a bit)
But yeah Chris looks a bit off just like Claire used to
The remake model was 100% a reference, but for sure not a direct port. There are notable differences in the face and overall body shape. (excluding legs because of BHVR needing to downscale Nemy)
As you can see, the "stitched" eye is more covered with no visible socket compared to DBD's, and the chin is more defined.
-
Eruption is not even the real problem. It only becomes tedious when the killer's entire build revolves around Call of Brine + Overcharge.
-
I'm seeing alot of great tips on chases with guards, but no one is really giving pointers on set-up.
When you're approaching a location you assume or know a survivor is nearby, path a guard not directly in the tile they sit in, but around it. Corral the potential survivor from the opposite side as they are alert of the guard's position. From here, you can pinch a free hit/down as the survivor is forced into a chase by both you and the guard you cornered them with.
-
The only thing Wraith has is mobility.
Ghost Face is more silent and doesn't need to wind down in order to attack.

It is an intended function of his power.
It doesn't say it in Twins or Wesker's power descriptions either.
This also includes Cenobite's possessed chain and even the passive chains if a survivor was caught by one in a gate. However, Wesker's gate blocker via Bound is much weaker than Cenobite and Twins' vs Healthy survivors.

Chatter's Tooth prevents the chain hunt
That's correct my bad, but it is one way for him to immediately find the lament configuration. In that case, it's simply luck or Lethal value.
-
It boils down to Cenobite having either Lethal Pursuer or his very-rare add-on, Chatterer's Tooth. Nothing wrong here.
-
I run it for fun here and there, but it's quite a weak ultra-rare without another add-on: Shredded Notes.
Shredded Notes reducing recharge time and overall total Rush tokens by one (4 instead of 5) makes reaching the final token easier and thus having better chances at insta-downing a survivor with Iri Tag. The biggest issue that still stands is the map you have to navigate on to succeed usage.
-
Seeing how there isn't many other perks that you can just regain because of no gain of value, the nerf was fine and the small buff placed it in a great position. No need to complain about losing BM if you can just reactivate it faster.

His tier 3 terror radius is normal.
Personally, i love going against a Jump Scare Myers on indoor maps. Simply, because thats one of the few occasions, where the game feels like a horror game.
Does that makes him efficient? Depends on how he wants to play.
Add-ons aside, yes he plays relatively normal at tier 3 having a 32m TR, but that's fair for what he's compensated. Outside of tier 3, survivors have to pay attention for his presence when tier 1 is pure stealth and tier 2 being pseudo stealth with a deceptive 16m TR. Basic attack only killer sure, but it's his hinderance to awareness that is his strongest ability on top of everything else imo.
-
@Tsulan said:
Is Myers suddenly considered OP or something? Wasn´t he among the weaker killers?
You could argue with such add-ons and the lowest base Terror Radius in the game, The Shape is one of the more efficient non-mobility killers in the roster.
-
Ghost Face, Cenobite, and Blight.
Something about their grandiose dramatic nature stands out to me.
-
More or less it's slightly better. The grind reduction only really benefits those that have several prestige 3 characters on hand, therefore significantly dropping the amount of BP required to spend because all of the prestiged characters' perks are instantly shared across the entire roster regardless of level.

They've been tweaking Ghost Face's music for awhile. Its probably an ongoing debate between the devs and maybe even the licensing
This is the 4th iteration, and yet it's the same current version, but slowed at the last two phases. It's really rough sounding now.
-
I'd say the only weakest licensed killer would be The Nightmare in both gameplay and kit.
The Shape is outdated yes, but he still has the smallest terror radius out of any killer, has great vault speed in tier 3, good add-ons, and instadown/mori potential in his kit. These tools make up for the fact that he is an M1 killer at heart.
The Ghost Face plays by nature of a stealth killer, which can give him multiple advantages if played correctly. Playing recklessly doesn't benefit you at all. I would agree that he was weak if his kit wasn't reworked.
The Pig is overall RNG dependent, but still decent in the right hands.
The only weak aspect about The Nemesis is that more than half of his add-ons are dogpoop. Otherwise an experienced Nemesis is a monster in chases.
The Cenobite is strong only when played correctly. Too many mistakes can hurt them. This also applies to The Onryõ and The Demogorgon. (for those that own it)
The Executioner has massive zoning potential despite his weak add-on kit.

I highly doubt this was an "accident" cuz the chase music is way much quieter, it seems like they wanted to give it another try with a lower volume but imo it was never the volume that was the issue.
The volume was 100% the issue, and this isn't their first attempt with a volume change. It was the last thing they did before replacing it with the newer version.

I would actually recommend Bond more, atleast personal prefrence. Less conditional and you can see them whenever they're in range.
If you're someone who can avoid being hooked for a long period of time, Aftercare's map wide aura range is far better. Bond is a good alternate if not available in your loadout.
-
When a new killer or survivor releases soon, I make sure to reach cap BP so I can dump it on one of them to instantly start off at level 36/37. Otherwise just spend it on add-ons or items you need for other characters.

Basically this. Legion can never be a good Killer with their current Kit or it will break the game.
@Topic:
They said those Killers will get looked at. This does not mean that you will see big changes. E.g. they can just change 2 Add Ons of Legion and call it a day. So no Rework or anything confirmed.
Rework/add-on pass, whatever. As long as the devs can do a good job with the material involved, I'll take it. I will genuinely be upset if GF doesn't get music, because it's a given that Legion will receive it.

No, you cannot flick your bounces.
You can sort of flick your swing, but you can't quickly turn to re-adjust your angle when bouncing.
Actually you can, it just takes proper timing of flicking the stick to do so.

My advice would be: choose a different killer, Blight is one of the many killers that were developed without console in mind.
That was when he was released, not how he currently stands now, which is far better and near equal to that of a PC Blight.
If you're gonna talk about poorly optimized killers for console, take one long look at Trickster please.
-
@Pulsar said:
I can try.
A good build is essential on Blight. He is good enough that a build will carry you and you will have time to catch your skill up.
You can't flick, you just gotta accept that and play way more heavily into predicting Survivors. It's guesswork, but you can read some people like a book and it feels great.
"You can't flick"?
Console Blight's have been able to flick for quite some time now, ever since they buffed controller sensitivity.
-
I never ran the combo let alone even use them often because I never had the belief that he was reliant on them. I stuck more to crouch speed and Mark Duration. Better for his kit imo
-
All I'm gonna say is stick around for Mid-Chapter...
-
They need to stop designing killers that were made for PC players anyway.

When Pinhead finds and uses the box the following happens
1) you get à notification of where every survivor is
2) à fiew seconds (one or two) after that 1 happened, chain hunt starts
Using the box during chain hunt gives you the notification again and gives you à fiew extra seconds as the box needs to respawn first
I know what it does. I'm saying sometimes, it just doesn't even activate.
-
@[Deleted User] said:
Can you show a video?
Sadly no. Mobile forums has its kinks.
As described, regardless of the Chain Hunt build up, it will sometimes just not happen. I'm uncertain about the benefits of The Cenobite using the box while a Chain Hunt is active, because it either does nothing or disables it altogether.

Blight is terrible on that map. There's a LOT of clutter to break that 90 ° threshold
Blight is terrible on that map TO YOU.
If you're struggling on Lampkin as Blight, even though he can shut down just about 90% of the map with experience, especially fence tiles, you are definitely doing something wrong.

Trapper, Deathslinger, and Blight exist.

Imagine if the Resident Evil chapter was just a killer being a Zombie from the game (not even one seen from the games, a random BHVR original zombie), that's why the Ghost Face chapter was a big disappointment. When people wanted Ghost Face they meant a killer duo we never seen in the game before, they just hadn't specified it so they got "Ghost Face" (at least, that's what I wanted). People also wanted Sidney, people still want Sidney (as evident from the constant fan cams on DBD's Twitter).
What we got was a Stealth Killer... we didn't even get an original survivor, why did Ghost Face get to be original but we couldn't even get a Survivor with him? Maybe an original survivor who's a vigilante that's been tracking and trying to stop Ghostface because he was a failed first attempt (Ghostface's First Victim, and his only Survivor). Maybe a worker at Danny Johnson's last job who was the person that found the note at his desk and went to Danny's house to investigate just to be taken. Even Carl the Cashier could've worked, I know he's a bit of a meme but it would at least justify this paragraph being called a chapter.
And him being even broken before launch doesn't change the fact he's still broken, all that happened was a Band-Aid was put on a chopped off arm. I don't wanna settle with the fact that he's better than he was, he shouldn't be this inconsistent at all!
The whole zombie bit at the start was honestly a really bad take, sorry. Either way, we still have Ghost Face as a killer in the game, because the importance of the person under the mask is ike Spider-Man: anyone can wear the mask.
-
Both are actually not difficult on controller at all (for Blight mainly thanks to his previous controller sensitivity buffs a few patches back), but Blight requires more skill and knowledge to master. I'd say get Oni first and then Blight when you are feeling for a challenging, but very rewarding killer.

@CheeseAnton said:
Ghostface, it isn't even a chapter. I hated how the devs tried getting away with calling Paragraphs, Chapters. Some may say this is unfair but the devs called it a chapter so I'm judging it as a chapter.
The killer was broken at launch and still is (the reveal mechanic has never been fair, not even once. Nothing is more aggravating then centering Ghostface in the center of your screen looking at him for 3 seconds just to get exposed).
Their was only one good perk the entire chapter, Corrupt Intervention, everything else was either okay or Furtive Chase.
The devs didn't even try hard enough to get license to the movies, just the mask itself (which is not why we liked Scream, it's not the mask it's everything else), leading to a disappointing license (many people including myself wanted Sidney Prescott, but it might never happen).
And the worst part is, I think Ghostface basically killed the Paragraph game because of the backlash but it all stemmed from the devs doing a rushed and terrible job the 3rd Anniversary Event (for people who weren't around then, trust me, the 5th Year Anniversary was one of the best events ever made in comparison to 3rd years "event")
Ghost Face doesn't need the Scream license to be good. IMO, it was better off that only the mask was acquired if it meant they could create an original character of their own beneath it. As far as I'm concerned, Ghost Face was one of the most requested killers in the game, not particularly one the 7 killers who donned the mask. If you think he is still broken since launch, be grateful he wasn't stuck as his 2nd PTB iteration. Current GF is just slightly inconsistent across both sides.

"Ghost Face", for the simple reason it was a Paragraph falsely disguised as a Chapter.
IG he was a chapter for the fact he was an Anniversary release? I'm still confused to this day about that too.

It's very amusing to me how there's meta perks, great perks, bad perks, and then there are perks like Lightborn and Franklin's Demise that are designed purely to spite item/flashlight users.

@FrostySeal said:
I think so too but it depends on the map and what addons they're using, because if Blight gets put on a map like Hawkins or Lerys he's going to suffer.
He doesn't really suffer on Underground Lab imo . The Laboratory's hallways and most rooms are wide enough for playable use of his Rush, unlike Léry's thinner, cluttered halls and cubic tiles.
-
RPD becomes alot easier to navigate and run loops on the more you play and learn the tiles.
-
About 80% of Ghost Face's add-ons are viable in their own right, the exceptions being those that increase stalk movement speed and maybe the killer instinct duration types (not including Victim's Detailed Routine).
There's the running gag that he's add-on dependent, but that comes from GF players too addicted to the recovery add-ons to say he's fine without them. Now yes, the 30 sec. cooldown is pretty rough and I would agree they should shave off a couple seconds, but if you know what you're doing with Night Shroud, and you're an active stalker, the 30 seconds is an afterthought at best.
If you are the type that uses stalk often, stick with Mark (exposed) duration add-ons, Ghost Face Caught on Tape, and stalk rate add-ons (not leaning).
Every other add-on is fair game to experiment with, AGAIN not the stalk movement add-ons, because my god The Shape utilizes that far better than Ghost Face can.
-
Cruel Limits must've been designed toward indoor maps as it shines on maps with various amounts of windows like Léry's. Otherwise, it has no virtual use on a vast majority of outdoor maps, where there's maybe a window or two in widespread locations.
-
All this hate for RPD smh. People had the same exact issue with Midwich Elementary School. The more you play on the map itself, the more of a cakewalk it turns out to be later on. RE fans on the other hand have more of an advantage already as the layout is near 1:1 to the remake of RE2.
BHVR is likely waiting for Mid-Chapter to roll around, so the performance fixes can allow them to determine if the offering should be enabled. Afaik, the map by a small percentage still causes crash issues on console.

I think with DBD you need to stretch your imagination a bit. Licensed characters will never be their true selves, because if they were they would wipe the floor with other characters.
Michael and Freddy are a good example. Their true characters would have zero issue disposing of 4 survivors. They are watered down in this game.
On the survivor side there is Ash and Bill. Ash, with his proper chainsaw, could go toe to toe with a bunch of the killers and win. He has faced far worse then Trapper or Pig ^^" Bill has been through hell and back. I am sure he too would be able to take out a few killers as well.
Michael is probably the most in-character licensed killer in the entire game, from his playstyle to his power. You're thinking too much of sequel Michael, where he's more like Jason in terms of strength/durability, whereas DbD's interpretation of The Shape is based on his less Jason-esque portrayal in the 1978 original.
-
Nemesis' music for its intensity, Blight's carries the evil villain vibe so well it's downright terrifying, and Michael's 'The Shape Stalks' chase music being crap your pants scary.
-
The Pustula Flower has to be my favorite.
-
I would say Blight, but if you're a console player atm, don't get/play him yet with how broken he is from the recent patches. Get Oni.
