I'd say it's situational in terms of its weak value. Had a game on Léry's where a survivor was infected by a zombie across the map, and I was too occupied kicking a gen to see which zombie performed the hit, given they were both opposite of my location.

If you don't like sets, STOP BUYING SETS if you're gonna cry about the skin being too fluid to mix and match.

I have crashed four times on the RPD. I haven't crashed outside of that map.
I've crashed 4 times across The Game, Léry's, Dead Dawg, and RPD.

Maybe because it’s a new killer and people are struggling to get kills? Lol
Came across a camping Nemesis on RPD before it got disabled and I asked him why he face camped when he were straight clueless on gen locations alone.
I kid you not, his answer was:
"Because I can."
-
Depending on tiles, pallet placements, and placement of the survivor you triggered HBF with shows how it really shouldn't be a Hex perk with its weak values.
Only value you can ever find out of it ranges from
- punishing a pallet camper (very funny actually)
- Triggering BF while you down them in the pallet, countering a potential pallet save
- Triggering BF while the survivor post-hit placed themselves in a bad position in the tile.
-
I only have interest in lore for Talbot Grimes (The Blight) and The Observer, as they are the two characters atm that have meaningful lore or remotely eye catching stories. Every other Archive entry beside them is filler that adds more depth to respected characters. Crossing my fingers they are exclusively showing more Blight lore this October.
-
Blight can do better on Ormond than he can on Backwater Swamp. Practically all of Swamp's assets are doused in butter as opposed to Ormond's small rocks, picnic tables, and snow piles that only make up 20% of the map.
Pale Rose is his best Swamp map though.
-
Maybe not when you start a chase with Jill, but rather downing one instead.
-
Ghost Face in DbD is half licensed, half OC. The fact that he is an original interpretation underneath the licensed Ghost Face mask allows much more freedom with designs, lore, and cosmetics. Can't wait for BHVR to include him in an Archives entry.
He does have subtle references to Scream's Ghost Face killers via weapon clean for example.
-
Blight imo has a very terrifying appearance. From his ominous cloak to his mutated jaw and tremoring body, the lore that he holds to the fact that he's canonically bested and tortured nearly every killer single-handedly makes The Blight a very intimidating force of nature.
-
He still smiles. It's just not plastered onto his model anymore.
-
Just because Ghost Face got an event skin doesn't necessarily mean the same goes for the other licenses. That all depends on the flexibility and demands of the IP owners, which clearly shows that Ghost Face is the most flexible licensed killer given all of his cosmetics.
Every original killer has a Blight event skin except for Oni, Deathslinger, Twins and Trickster. These four would be the obvious candidates for future Blight skins.
If we're to get cosmetics for Laurie and The Shape, I hope we finally get different masks, coveralls, or even weapons. Michael is in desperate need of a model update anyway.
-
A majority of killer names are reflected by lore and not their power.
And the pinball joke is stale at best. It is too hard to describe his ability to being akin to a crazed sprinting animal?
-
The basis for the Halloween chapter is directly the 1978 original, which did not introduce the sibling plot. you can interpret it both ways since the old sequels and the recent trilogy take it both directions. Considering the first film doesn't even go with the relation, it is safe to say they are not related.
-
Perhaps it is a taste of a Plague model update? Just look at Doctor for example. When his Rift outfit released, it looked nothing like him at all, until his model was updated with a great resemblance.

Well their last game was predator hunting grounds so I don’t have much hope tbh
Gun didn't make P:HG. That was Illfonic, who also developed Friday. It looks like whatever they're making this time won't include Illfonic in development.

What do you mean? officially nemesis is just 3 inches taller than mr x
Not just the height, but the proportions of his body.
Mr. X is stockier while Nemesis has longer and larger arms/legs.
-
Wouldn't that also mean shrinking the killer's height? Mr. X is not even close to being the same scale as Nemesis.
-
IMO, every tome entry that isn't Blight/Talbot Grimes or the Observer doesn't interest me as much, but I would like to see Ghost Face and Deathslinger have the spotlight at some point.
-
They changed his collision to be based on hit detection on objects, but even that led to more inconsistencies.
Also with that in mind, All Swamp maps (except maybe Pale Rose) are his absolute worst. Collision is worse in that realm than any other map, even Ormond.
-
The title for sure needed a bolder look. Never knew why they stuck with a font so thin and small for so long.
-
I'll take Deathslinger if it means I don't have to see Huntress for the 1,000th time in a row. Getting hit around corners with dump truck-sized hatchets over and over again gets really old fast.

Clown and Shape in the summer of 2018

They need to somehow snag the older version of The Shape.

Bring back hatch escape interrupt. Boom, key counterplay.

I'd play him if his power actually worked normally more.
I mean, it still does...
The whole reveal issue schtick isn't as common as people make it to be.

@Kira4Evr said:
I don't know. That reminds me. I heard someone say that nobody plays Blight once. And I was like, "dude, a lot of people play Blight". And the day after, I got 5 Blights in a row xd
To be fair, Blight went through alot of changes before people really began to play him more. Blight before used to be more of that special appearance type killer similar to not seeing a Nurse in a while.
-
@Aven_Fallen said:
I seem him quite frequently. Yesterday, 2 Ghostface.
I guess, we come to the point where every Killer can be seen rarely, just by coincidence, because we have so many Killers. Also, Wraith got buffed recently, so people who played Ghostface (because they enjoy Stealth Killers) might try out Wraith currently.
Yeah, it might just be me then. There are the more obvious "less picked" killers that you won't see often, but in my case, Ghost Face is starting to creep into that category.
All I ever see is HuntressSpiritHuntressSpiritHuntressSpi-

I see him more then any other killer other than huntress , I'm at rank 3 rn as survivor
If it's not a Freddy, Wraith, or any occasional killer appearance, I always face a Spirit or Huntress.

@Northener1907 said:
Are you sure? I am seeing them enough.
I legit haven't seen one within the past two chapters.
-
As if.
Blight feels very fun to face as he is very intense to be chased by.
-
Why is Blood Favor a Hex again?
-
Have yet to face an Executioner that doesn't use his Torment status mechanic to hard tunnel survivors.
-
This and Classic Ghost Face are bugged to hell.

I mostly agree with this assessment of addons and perks. The only thing I disagree with is pustual dust/rose tonic. More slam duration can allow you shimmy through door ways far more easily and can be very useful in indoor maps or some of tighter tiles like buildings. Usually if you want to just fatigue it won't matter because situations where you want to fatigue in the survivor won't actually start running and gaining distance on you until you've actually fatigued because of the threat of rushing again, even if they do you can just choose not to fatigue and rusher after them instead.
With that in mind I think the addon is okay, but it's still not his strongest. You also didn't mention either of his pink addons. The iri blight tag, while it can be tricky to use can allow a skilled blight to get some serious 1 shot value, especially if used with crow to make that last rush super hard to avoid. Compound 33 has 2 effects. The 1.5 second pallet breaks are absolutely amazing. Spirt fury enduring is 1.5 second stun. Basically if the survivor runs away from a pallet you catch up real quick with your power while leaving the pallet up, if they stay at a pallet you basically use super brutal strength on it after zoning them for an easy m1. The slowdown has some tracking value but otherwise only occasionally gets you a hit you wouldn't get otherwise.
That was exactly why I added they can be necessary when you really need them.
I didn't mention the Ultra-Rares because this was more of what you would use most often, not what has OP values and what doesn't. Regardless, you've basically expanded that list for OP with your additional information of what they do. 👌

When it comes to perks, it is essential that you avoid a majority of "basic attack" perks like Save The Best For Last, because it works against his own power. Perks that favor mobility suit him the most. Perks like BBQ, Infectious Fright, and Tinkerer are great examples of good Blight perks.
Moving on to add-ons, let's push aside his worst add-ons:
Rose Tonic and Pustula Dust
- Both increase the duration of your delay after achieving a slam, allowing a larger window to readjust yourself to continue Rushing.
- Not exactly the best add-ons to use, because when you want to stop Rushing, you have to wait longer for the slam delay to end, which can be costly at times. Still...they come in handy when necessary.
Chipped Monocle
- Displays a ring at the center of your screen while Rushing. You can easily tell where you are rushing, and collision can be very inconsistent. Basically ignore this one.
Placebo Tablet
- A handicap add-on that grants bonus points for using your power at the cost of your Rush speed being significantly decreased. Surprisingly has some value with certain combos, but not an add-on you should run normally.
Adrenaline Vial
- just no.
Compound Seven
- Automatically faces you towards the closest survivor (in view) within 16 meters of your location after a Slam. It's okay, and it makes Adrenaline Vial alot more bearable, but why would you run Adrenaline Vial?
The add-ons you will use the most out of any other include:
Blighted Rat and Blighted Crow
- The more you Rush, the faster you will go. Makes Hillbilly look like Nurse.
Canker Thorn and Foxglove
- Decreases fatigue length when you miss a Lethal Rush. Your best friends for 90% of your playtime as Blight.
Plague Bile and Umbra salts
- Increases Rush turn rate. Blight recently got his base turn rate buffed, so you might not need these, but they are pretty good.
Vigo's Journal
- You are Undetectable for the entirety of your Rush. Best paired with Blighted Rat/Crow for speedy stealth plays on gen jockeys.
Alchemist's Ring
- Landing a Lethal Rush instantly recharges your tokens. By far his strongest add-on, period. Combine with any add-on you choose. (Best get your Lethal Rush attacks down before testing this beast)
I'm not including his Ultra-Rares due to them being effective, but a mixed bag.
Perks you should run often:
BBQ and Chili
Infectious Fright
Tinkerer
Hex: Ruin
Enduring
Pop Goes The Weasel
Starstruck
A Nurse's Calling

@Beelzeboop said:
Don't forget how all mobility killers other than Nurse basically can't use their power other than in the street.
But Clown, Trapper, Hag, and Doc are almost average on Haddonfield. Almost.
Blight is another exception. He's rather very hard to avoid between fences. The only thing saving you is either a cutoff on the fence and/or a really well-timed Dead Hard. Even then, if he has enough Rush tokens to continue chasing, you're screwed.
-
I'm a little confused on how you didn't place all Swamp variants straight to F tier. Collision is at its worst there than any other map.
-
It could be buffed slightly, but not too much. 90 seconds was crazy long for a perk that gives a middle finger to tracking.
-
His recovery is fine when you manage it correctly (though I'd like a 5 second drop in cooldown as well) and the only bad add-ons he has are the stalk movement speed add-ons (Shape uses them better).
I'd like for them to spice him up SFX-wise. Make Marked survivors hear his old Night Shroud ambience for the duration, restore the sound effect when a Mark expires, and give him chase music.
-
PC had their thing with j-flicks, but console Blight's buff was the best thing to happen. I wouldn't say the "180s" now are exploitive, because now you actually have to turn pretty far and then flick 90° after that, so technically it's just a 90° follow up after a near 90° turn. Nothing like the J-flick, where you can just instantly 180 on the spot.
I know the base turn rate buff was on PC too, so they are probably much crazier to face compared to console players such as myself.
-
Blight and Jeff. The potential is really high with these two, but because these two characters aren't played much, they'll never get skins like Kate, Feng, Claudette, and Nea do.
-
My favorite trailer is tied between Descend Beyond and Halloween.
Seeing this shaky and weary husk of a man grotesquely transform in a Pustula-infested Chapel is so ominous.
My favorite spotlight would have to go to Silent Hill.
-
Mr. X I can understand, but who WOULDN'T want Nemesis in DbD?!
Dimitrescu has absolutely no chance in this game.
-
Speculation, but is it caused by Blighted Rat/Crow add-ons?
-
OG survivors and Trapper are for a later patch, but Doctor's model upgrade went live with Mid-Chapter.
You probably haven't noticed the Doctor upgrade because most Doctors today are either wearing the Look-See skin or any skin that didn't inherently receive an improvement.
-
True Blight, Brown Leather, Faded Leather, and the new Navy Blue skin are my personal favorites. To add a little more to the look, you can go hoodless with one of the Aristocrat head pieces.
-
The same question can be applied across multiple survivor and killer outfits.
There seems to be the concept of the multiverse in DbD's lore, so that's honestly the best answer.
-
They need to do something that makes the Deep Wound status effect an actual threat without making it broken/exploitable at the same time.
