Do you play console?
They just recently buffed console Blight's Rush sensitivity and base Rush turn rate, allowing console players to perform better Lethal Rush attacks.
Other than that, they nerfed PC Blight's turn cap to be rid of high DPI abusers
-
Didn't people play the females more because they had better crouch animation than the males, leading to better stealth? Ever since the animation updates, they finally balanced that out, so both have equally identical crouch animations.

and GF's addons, he has a lot of questionable ones
I'd argue the only bad GF add-ons are the stalk movement speed add-ons. Ghost Face needs to prioritize leaning more than not as well as keeping himself concealed, so it is quite useless compared to The Shape, who can freely stalk with no punishment. Michael has the same add-on effect (Jewelry & Jewelry Box) and pulls it off 100x better than GF can because of his lack of penalties.
-
Oni, Blight, and Doctor have the most intimidating base skins imo, others would be a handful of the blighted versions and Hag's abomination skin.
-
Tested it with a friend and the global sound still plays. It does in fact mute the distinct noises demo makes when exiting a portal in close proximity to a survivor. Best to use Red Moss by hiding your portal behind walls, etc. for full stealth value as a survivor wouldn't directly hear you bellowing next to them.
-
What's this, a Bear Trap?
runs faster over it
A killer can successfully mindgame a survivor and get punished for it because they can dodge your attack with little to no skill in the laggiest way possible. Of course the killer can read a DH play to counter, but there's no counter vs a survivor using DH for distance.
I'm still waiting to see how they'll change Dead Hard as it was a perk designed when the game was under host-based servers.

I know there's a lot of bm at exit gates regarding taunting, but I'll usually stand at the end so the killer can get an extra hit. We both get extra bloodpoints for it, right? Or is it taken as a gloat when I do that? I'm never sure.
It's usually taken as an insult every single time. If you're in the exit gate, leave. No need to waste 2 - 3 minutes of our time.
-
Whispers is a great proximity tracking perk, but I've found myself never using once you memorize hatch spawns and predicted survivor locations.

Hackers are kind of fun once in awhile. It's fun to try to kill cheaters and if they aren't TOO over the top I find it's surprisingly doable a lot of the time. I had a david that picked himself up instantly (faster than my attack cooldown with 8 stacks of STBFL) over and over again, and I managed to kill him by grabbing him off of an unhook then just camping both of them to death. It was a challenging 4k, and kind of rewarding to "solve an unexpected puzzle".
Believe me when I tell you I've never come across a "fun" hacker yet lol. This sabo hack is new to me though, and it's a spit in the face more than anything.

And I get told the same by killers when I decide to play survivor. What's your point?
I only mention survivors because that's far more common than a killer sending them. I never get messaged by killers as much as I do survivors.
-
I get told to kill myself every match I struggle in as a killer. Makes me think about the mentality of survivor players.

Im saying he is unfair, and top tier. He can be opressive but not nurse levels
Look at the responses. People tell the same exact counter-play for blight as spirit and nurse.
"Hide, lose line of dight, guess correctly"
Blight makes skill of survivors irrelevant if he's good.
But they aren't wrong though. Keeping something between you and him while correctly guessing which direction he'll take is the best counter. When he's not using his power, he's still an m1 killer, but going against a loop rusher takes alot of adaptability to avoid it. Unfair is a bit of a stretch imo.
-
I play on console as well as not sticking to the basic meta a majority of Blights use to keep things spicy. It sounds more like your leaning more towards high DPI PC Blights that can perform 1000x better than we can. To say he's basically Spirit level and as Oppressive as Nurse is absurd.
-
Imagine wanting Mad Grit nerfed...
Ghost Face can reset the reveal by keeping himself hidden. Best way to reveal is when he is in the open.
Also pro tip: if you catch Ghost Face leaning around a corner staring at you, immediately gain distance and hide your tracks to flank. Having a staring contest with him, especially if their body is well hidden will not help you in the slightest.

How has the NoED discussion not died out after 4 years? The game doesn't end until the survivors die or escape, and NoED is just a trump card Hex to make the EGC harder for survivors as long as it stands.
You can be bad and you use it, or you can be a godsend level killer using it, and the survivors can still be well enough to fly through the gens. All in all, it's a Hex that does its job perfectly if the 5 totems weren't all cleansed prior.

Sorry guys. Don’t hate me. 🤣🤣🤣
It saddens me to see such a sight. I love playing against Deathslinger with his creepy yet banger music and his intimidating posture.
-
Despite his current state, the fact that I've seen him more than The Twins is enough.

@Huge_Bush said:
Not a cool down, but smaller range that is just large enough to prevent body blocking.
While that sounds neat, the range currently depends on the killer's TR, so killers like Myers or anyone with a below average TR gets less value out of it. If you find out they have Starstruck, you best hide for a majority until it's safe.

@AhoyWolf said:
This perk will be most likely used with Agitation, Mad Grit and Iron Grasp for memes, I cannot see it in an actuall game tbh.
I've been using it casually and from what I can tell at the least, it's good on mobility killers that can find survivors fast. All it takes is for someone to be in your terror radius to get Exposed, and the 30 second timer doesn't start until you're not carrying the survivor anymore/ leaving the terror radius.
-
Distortion sounds really good on paper, but the token count can get burned up like nothing. They need to increase the tokens available and/or dramatically increase the effect duration of the aura blocking.

I'm not saying console Blight is unplayable, but it's certainly way harder. There is actual evidence that he was coded poorly on controllers. I don't where you got the "I hate console Blights because they can't exploit flicks" from, but if you truly believe I think that way you are sorely mistaken.
Fair enough, sorry. I myself main Blight on console, and he gets a very rep when in fact he's just as dangerous as a PC Blight when you know how to utilize him on a controller. I would say console Blight was THAT hard before his FoV fix. In conclusion to my general topic, all swamp maps and so so Léry's are his absolute cancers. Every other map even Hawkins is fair game.
-
@QwQw said:
Fun Fact: If you play Blight on console, every map is his worst map!
Fun Fact: just because PC Blight is better than console doesn't mean console Blight is unplayable. It's just a tad bit harder. People give console Blights too much hate for no reason other than because you can't exploit flicks.

I played on Yamaoka with him,
loved the FOV raise. TY
but WHERE IS THE COLLISION FIX? I had the worst time with him after this update, sliding off nearly everything. I kept using it because I trusted this fix and it was terrible.
The camera function to look up and down mid-rush allows him to slam into lower obstacles he didn't normally slam into before, which is a really neat change. There are still certain trees or rocks that ignore his hit detection. Swamp is everything wrong in that regard lol.
-
He's perfect as is when you know what you're doing...without depending on recovery add-ons...
Personally, I'd be down if they dropped his base recovery a smidge, but I was thinking more of spicing his power up through survivor PoV SFX. Ghost Face had alot of sounds in PTB/launch that should honestly be repurposed into a noise survivors hear when marked.
-
@boostedsurvivormain said:
I think chewed pen should be base. His power takes way too long to recover without addons
He is not add-on dependent at all. Ghost Face players that rely on recovery add-ons will clearly have too much of an attachment to think he's weak without them. I've been playing him without recovery add-ons for the longest time, and it hasn't negatively impacted my gameplay in the slightest. By the time you approach and down a survivor via stalked down or traditional chase, his power is back by the time I have them on a hook.
-
@VexTheHex said:
You're not alone. I dislike Blight entirely. I don't like how he looks, I don't like his power, I don't like playing him, and I don't really care for facing them especially if they're good.
In terms of looks, he is forgettable to me as he mostly relies on body horror on his face and that's his entire design.
In terms of power, I was disappointed our alchemist turned into "I ram wall fast, me the new Billy!!! vrooom vroom I run face into wall!" Then the whole Blight and plant stuff is also ignored, been cool to get some Poison Ivy type of character. Maybe in the future?
His adept was painful for me cause I don't like playing as him. I get so disorientated using him and it's not fun. Probably one of my personal F tiers for how much I want to play them.
And against him? He's like if Nurse and Spirit had a baby. You likely will die a quick and uninteresting death against him if they put the effort to learn him (like Nurse) leaving you feeling like there is little you can do to not die as he feels overbearing especially with Tinkerer. (like Spirit)
He's recently gathered a small army on the forum though, so I know I'm speaking forbidden words. To each their own though, I'm happy that some people love him and he got his eyes moved from his crotch to his face... even if it made him more frequent...
Do people to this day still not understand why his power is the way it is? he's a monster type killer, and the serum is the entire baseline to his physical related ability. Even back then, I was sure he wasn't gonna be some potion related killer because we already have Clown for that. All the slamming everybody memes with with him as a pinball crackhead is very kin to being chased by a rabid animal.
-
This chapter has a lot of heart behind the concept, but I prefer Descend Beyond. Having that mysterious figure from the iconic Hallowed Blight event become a playable killer two years in the making takes the cake for me.
-
People keeping having the same misconception on Blight's power. Having the serum being tied already with his power, He is essentially an unrelenting beast, which clarifies more how he carelessly slams into obstacles trying to reach his prey.
-
Working on this generator is really tiring me out.
-
The Shape needs an updated design badly. He looks like a PS2 era model under most lighting.
-
I'm lowkey more excited for the Wraith/Blight fixes than the new chapter itself.
-
Descend Beyond is my all time favorite chapter in the game. A killer that was teased for 2 years and is the embodiment of the entirety of the Hallowed Blight events makes The Blight stand out in the roster of killers.
Fast paced gameplay, well designed power and perks, and being the only killer in the game that has the most lore, he is one killer I can't get enough of. (and I play on console btw, which console Blight is not unplayable as everyone makes him to be)
The introduction of Felix started a linked story that potentially includes more than the 2 survivors we've seen at this point. His perks aren't that great though with Desperate Measures as an exception.
I'm very curious to see if Talbot Grimes' story will continue exclusively within Halloween events moving forward.
-
WGLF and Buckle Up make quite a combo ngl.
-
If Blight could attack on his first rush, he'd be broken.
Oni would be quite oppressive
Nurse for sure be unbeatable.
-
Being the H1 version of The Shape, he went through a door my smashing his hand through it to reach the knob. What if instead he pulls it apart with his hands? (I only say this as they won't bother making a unique rig animation for a wall break)
-
Isn't Èlodie a treasure hunter of sorts? I don't recall her being a detective in her lore.
Also, she was directly kidnapped and attacked by the cultists, not preventing it.

I think OP is talking about the same player, not only the same Killer.
@Topic:
Only once, but wasnt a really pleasent experience. Was a Nurse Main, before she got nerfed, someone who always used either 3 Blinks with Range or Omegablink, including Infectious Fright. Games were usually all 4 slugged and then hooked once. Got this guy quite often back in the days, one day two times in a row. As I said, wasnt the most fun I ever had in DBD.
Reading it a second time, I got that lol.
I seem to have a similar experience, but only when I'm killer.
fr though, killers need to chill out with Huntress. I get 5 games in a row with her lol.
-
I keep getting Huntress left and right throughout my sessions. Makes me take breaks from the game with how stale it becomes against a killer so boring to see several times over.
-
Leave them be, but make Cypress base kit.
Moris as they currently stand now are what they should have been from the get go: just an alternate cooler way of killing a survivor.
-
I'd have to say Blight is my current favorite with Executioner as a close second. Very atmospheric and immersive.

Myers, who doesn't like the Halloween theme
You mean 'The Shape Stalks'?
The Halloween main theme is only implemented as a stinger through his power and lobby selection.
-
Tome 2 was the best one imo. Had plenty of content that was really good.
-
The music department has never failed during this game's life cycle.
Now I'm just waiting for Wraith and Ghost Face's unique Terror Radius.
-
Jason Voorhees
The lawsuit has been on hold to this day since all the pandemic stuff. I don't see it ending anytime soon.

As a console player, one of his main issues still exist, his horrible turning. Due to this, I can't see myself playing Blight upon the release of the new chapter.
As a console Blight main myself, I can get where you're coming from.
While yes, his turning is pretty bad, he's not unplayable by any means. It just takes patience, knowledge, and time playing him on a console.

@EvanRaven said:
cosmetics are also a big factor imo. nea has some badass looking ones which could be why many people play her. i forgot which cosmetics adam even has rip
They release cosmetics for only the most played survivors. Basically explains itself.
-
The fact that the majority vote is the lack of cosmetics being the reason for not playing these survivors makes me very sad thinking about this.

why would i waste BP on other survivors than the one i leveled first when they are just reskins of one another?
It's truly just interest in gender/general appearance.

@Science_Guy said:
I actually do play Jeff somewhat. I used him for a few rounds yesterday, and I play him more than any other male Survivor besides Dwight. I'm not a fan of him all the same, though.
Both him and Adam have really boring lore, forgettable cosmetics, and mediocre perks. This poll could use an all-of-the-above option, tbh.
That's pretty fair. Jeff and Adam lore-wise do indeed not have exciting lore material (except maybe Adam's train accident), but not every survivor is going to be a badass, wealthy alpha. They can just be regular people.
Personally, Jeff's perks >>>>> Adam's perks; Aftercare is underrated af and Breakdown is pretty strong for hook aggro. Distortion just needs a buff and it's easily top tier.
