I don't really see WHAT a map for the Blight would be.. The Twins and Trickster have way more ideas for maps.
You could have a field of massive Viscous Cankers both fresh and withered all scattered about, with a terrain similar to Macmillan, but including Talbot's hideout laboratory.
-
Imagine using a clown killer to represent the argument. Clown's outfits fit his character as someone who lures unsuspecting victims with soft appearances. He imo is scarier than a man who uses his victims screams for music. The only thing that's scary about him are his motives and that he utilizes his knife tricks for murder.
Other than that, he does not look intimidating at all.
-
Ghost Face's rate of stalk is twice as fast compared to The Shape when leaning, and his nimble size and crouching ability allows him to make more efficient expose downs through stealth tactics.

@QwQw said:
He's called "The Trickster" because that's the name he choose for himself after he rebranded. Guess he likes it or something.
This.
OP and a majority of the comments here imply no one read his lore carefully or the survivor's.
-
It's a shame we got such a lore heavy killer like Blight in a period where the devs aren't making new maps, but renovating old ones instead.
There could have been potential for a map featuring a broken down terrain filled with either fresh or withered Pustula cankers spread throughout.
-
I play between Ghost Face and Blight, but I've been playing Blight more and more. He's just too much fun, even if I'm playing him on console.
-
As a Ghost Face and Blight main, I'm not the biggest Scream fan, but I love the costume. I've also never seen Blight as a bad killer and learned him after 2 games. Yolo

True, but regardless, he still physically resembles the Rob Zombie Myers.
Additionally, if I'm not mistaken, Loomis' gun is a .38 caliber that has about half the power of modern .357 magnum's. Mikey took 6 shots to the chest at close range and was pretty much fine.
If we're going by blumhouse Michael standards, we can suppose it is silently retconned that those shots weren't fatal enough to kill him following his arrest that night.
Makes me wish the Halloween DLC wasn't just based on the '78 movie, so we could have cosmetics from other appearances like Tyler Mane's Michael.

I think you're forgetting Mikey predates Jason. If anything Jason was reminiscent of Mikey. But then we know all the 80's slashers were birthed from Halloween.
I know he predates Jason, but since adult Jason came around with sequels, slashers were competing with each other, so they souped up Michael in a similar fashion to Jason.
Another reason I can like the new Halloween trilogy for taking away his invincibility.

H1 Mikey could still take being shot, stabbed, and fall out a second floor window and just shake it off.
He still had the supernatural edge in the first film, but the sequels took it too far and made him Jason. The ending is also taken into different iterations, like him being his cartoonishly tanky H2 iteration or H ('18) iteration, which keeps him reminiscent of H1.

Is it though? His other outfit is from H2 and his build is reminiscent of the Rob Zombie movie.
The asylum gown is from the beginning of the '78 film. He is tall in this game for the sake of Killers being massive compared to survivors. I personally kind of wish he wasn't so tall to be in line with how he's supposed to look.

Myers could murk any killer in the game because he's literally immortal. Even Demo would get his ass handed to him.
This is H1 Myers though, so he's not exactly his Jason-esque, tanky version in the old sequels.

Freddy's probably the strongest, lore-wise. If we are talking just raw physical strength, then maybe Demogorgon?
If you want to exclude lisenced Killers, then probably either Trapper or Billy.
Oni would have to be physically the strongest killer with how much of a beef cake he is. Otherwise by lore, the other two I can think of is Billy or Blight. Billy is shown to have an unpredictable amount of strength, and Blight has canonically jumped nearly every killer to experiment on them.

We still have much to explore with Talbot's lore, and I hope that it includes more information on his "transformations". He turns into the True Blight as we've seen, but then he reverts due to the fact that he looks nothing like the default appearance?
The trailer cinematic shows that he's heavily withdrawn on the serum, with a much raggedy cloak than what he wears in the archive cinematics. Some lore with add-ons, mainly the Eternal Blight Event Add-on: Blight Serum, implies that the transformation in the trailer cinematic is permanent as opposed to what is vaguely said about Talbot having transformed several times temporarily prior to the creation of his final iteration of the serum, Compound 34. While I'm certain we should expect more of Tablot lore before the change, I hope we finally get clarification if every transformation was truly temporary, including his "final/permanent" transformation.
I know this isn't exactly in relevance to OP's timeline, but this is merely expansion on what needs to be known about the character.

I've never found a genuinely good reason to spend shards on skins as skins with that currency option tend to be three times the price of a playable killer when it's a very rare tier. Every time a Mid-Chapter begins, I work my way up to 18k shards, allowing me to gain access to the latest original chapter without spending a dime. Bonus time to gain even more shards if the next chapter happens to be licensed.
-
Legion and Clown are actually really good killers.
-
@Yords said:
I used iri shards for the original dlc's (not the twins)
I have only bought the licensed characters such as myers or demo
Quick question: can you help me understand how to make a poll? This post was originally supposed to be a "poll" and not something that looks like it was from General Discussions lol

Yes, she's the only killer in the game that you can download for free alongside her survivor counterpart David.

The Lunar Lantern, all Pustula themed charms, and the figurines from the Vinyl Dolls Collection.
Killer themed charms would be a close alternative depending on the killer and what the charm actually is.

But why though?
Autohaven I understand because of the fun bus abuse, but why Crotus?
Greenhouse on Disturbed Ward has no collision and Chapel with the second floor window exploit where you can fall through a lower placed window without vaulting it.

I gave you an explanation why and you clearly barely read it and then nitpicked a small part of what I wrote. The irony is that I said the problem is the bigger picture.
I did read your explanation, and it went nowhere other than the same excuse of "nobody asked for it" and "they should have been fixing bugs instead". I'm certain they do both fixes and QoL simultaneously, as they can split off people in their teams to perform such things. Nobody asked for it? That's perfectly fine, because they weren't giving the option to choose. Being criticized for something you even say is small in itself when it probably is more complex than it looks is petty at best.
All things considered, they are changing it anyway because the community both refuses change and nitpicks the littlest things about it that somehow makes it game breaking. I mean hey, there's always room for improvement and the devs are taking full priority of it, but the way the community responded to this "issue" is very childish.
-
@Terro said:
It's not the UI alone that caused this. It's all the things leading up to it. It's a change they didn't have to do, didn't need to do and were told over and over again please improve the design or don't do it at all. Sure it's small in the grand scheme of things but the fact that the devs won't budge on something small and say they won't budge because this small thing cost them too much time and resources to back off is really bad. Imagine this tiny insignificant thing that drained resources and time, instead of the 1000 other bugs they could've been working on or something ppl actually wanted.
There's a difference between a QoL change and a bug fix. Nothing was wrong with the old UI, they simply wanted to update it to look sleeker, and they did. I'm with OP on this one; the crying for this UI change is embarrassing in itself.
-
This isn't new. This was changed once chapter 18 released.

yeah, he just delivered that man butt naked xD
though i still like the cowboy theme a lot more for him
The funny thing is that everyone just calls him a cowboy, when he's actually revenge-driven bounty hunter.

as much as i love him, i wont be paying money for this skin.
the only thing i like about it is the gun tbh.
the rest just looks way too out of character - and it makes you way too visible ingame...
In the description, he literally snags it off of a bounty just because he can lol
-
After playing him enough times to think, I'd say it's more 50/50 than anything. I've been able to end loops with either a smart combination of both bottles or just the Antidote bottle alone. Some of those times, it proved to be ineffective at giving me an advantage, but soley on the fact that those loops were pretty safe to say the least.
-
I don't get the hate with the new UI. Everyone's crying because they took away the simple boring one?

Other than the add-on changes, it pretty much is that simple. Just don't swap bottles if you don't like the Antidote.

Friday The 13th: The Game. Game was my pride and joy even after the lawsuit. Game would be in a better position if not for the ridiculous struggle for IP ownership.
-
You guys are misinterpreting the other use of RA other than countering Pop: countering passive regression.
Repressed Alliance has proven to be a time saver in the scenarios where I have to leave a nearly finished gen to save another survivor while the killer has Ruin active. I can just block the gen and occupy the rescued long enough to make it back to the gen before the blocker ends, and with no progress lost :D.

Maybe but with inner strength you can fully heal and still have it or have head on and head on the killer or have both and be fully healed, head on the killer and if he downs you ds him as well. Either way I'm happy with the changes.
Speaking of Inner Strength, wouldn't that be considered a healing action? If so, DS would be disabled as soon as it heals you.

When the hell is LF getting a chainsaw nerf they gave one to Billy and now its time for LF his hot box is all screwed up he can chainsaw through objects and unless there's a vault or cupboard near by you're screwed it's at the point where I just let them kill me because he is horrible to go against when he gets his chainsaw going there's no avoiding it
You could...I don't know... Loop normally and NOT be greedy with vaults? Bubba can be a handful, but he's not broken by any means. His biggest weakness is the same as Blight: just keep something between you and the killer. For The Cannibal's case, maintain tight turns around obstacles.

It's a anti tunnel perk. I would still want it to deactivate in a locker though. I'm happy with these changes.
You could still get tunneled to a point where you'd potentially use a locker, so it's fine to keep the locker tech imo.

@Ryan489x said:
The only restriction I don't like is the unhooking one. It doesn't advance your objective so it shouldn't be there. the healing one has the same argument. but it's a bit different since it can be done anywhere unhooks are in the open most of the time.
It's an anti-tunnel perk, not a oh I have an easy stun for my free hook save.
The entire point of the change was to be rid of the non anti-tunnel uses of the perk. No player can deny they've not used DS in such ways from gen/sabo aggro to undeserving hook saves because your DS was still active at the time, punishing the killer for attempting "successful" hook defence.
-
@tt_ivi_99 said:
I feel like the perk is kind of dumb now, most survivors can run the killer for longer than 1 min so I dont see why It has a timer now that It deactivates whenever performing an action...
An immediate tunnel is more likely the case to keep the 60 seconds. Aggressive unorthodox DS usage is extremely common, and it now dies with this future change.

Does that thing even actually work? I've tried it many times and charged up his pounce 20 meters away from my target survivors to silence his noises, but they always run off before I get close enough to jump em as if it wasn't silencing him at all.
It does indeed work, but remember that Victor has glowing eyes when you control him.
-
Victor has jumpscare potential, if only he didn't announce his arrival so loudly around 18 meters. Luckily he has that stealth add-on, Cat's Eyeball.
-
Not much to "learn" aside from always placing phantasms by hooked survivors and predictable traffic areas.
-
Why remove moris when you have to actually work for them now?
-
Me, who bought Blight for Blood Favor and the killer itself:
IMO, Undying is super overrated. I've been playing since Chapter 17's release without it because it only took the survivors 10 seconds to find and cleanse it all conveniently while I am occupied across the map. Hasn't really changed gameplay pressure for me.

This is babysitter's first time though
I have been hearing that one doesn't have the increased shard price. Honestly just a bug it looks like. Otherwise it would be 2700 just like Repressed Alliance is if not for the bug.
Or what if we're both wrong and Babysitter has been in the Shrine before?
-
When a certain perk makes its first appearance in the Shrine of Secrets, it costs more than those that have already been in the Shrine.

"Huge update"
No offense, the only thing huge about this update was the graphical updates (the game looks fricking gorgeous) and clown's belly. If it was a huge update then we would have gotten a variety of other smaller changes too, but I guess it is asking too much from BHVR.
But at least someone is excited about it.
To me, no update is major when we have yet to get new maps again. Good thing we're a decent amount of progress in.
There's so much potential for maps in relation to the most recent killers, but it sucks that's not in BHVR's plan.

On console I don't think Bill is even playable. When they got the rights to use him dbd was only on PC. Console came later and they didn't want to renegotiate. So they put his perks in the bloodweb but Bill isn't in the game. Unless they changed it since the last time I've seen console.
Bill was added to console a looong time ago, but your half right. He was absent from console ports for probably 2-3 years of DbD's lifespan.

what they should have done is bring the other speedsters to hillbilly's level instead of bringing hillbilly down because other killers suck
So for example, you'd like Spirit to have infinite phasing, or Legion/Oni to activate Feral Frenzy/Blood Fury's Demon Dash at will with no cooldown?

He's not misunderstanding anything. You're just splitting hairs over something no one cares about.
The "real" Ghost Face is the one from Scream. The GF we have is not that. If it were he would not be a paragraph and would be a full chapter with a survivor and a Scream map.
That is all.
The persona angle thing you are trying to push is irrelevant and nobody cares about that really.
Let me correct you on one thing while brushing aside the ignorance of your own knowledge. The funny part about you saying he wasn't a Chapter, is that he actually was though, as inconsistent as that seems.

didn't need the overheat and animations change with it as well. that screws bad, and good hillbilly players who didn't depend on instasaw.
Hillbilly at the time had infinite on-command mobility while other mobility killers had a decently sized cooldown. This made Billy's skill cap really low since you could just sprint around the map at anytime with no cooldown of sorts. With the overheat mechanic, it increased his skillcap more by having the killer now monitor how much heat build-up they gain.
The Hillbilly is honestly not very different from his old self if you manage your heat very well. Everyone should have expected the devs to bring him in line with other speedsters.
