No one ever got a seizure vs doctor.
People with epilepsy get triggered by it now since the visuals got changed you can look it up.
-
The game is at an all time high player count so its likely that everybody is getting new player lobbies whilst mmr sorts itself out for each player.
-
Springtrap and Artist getting hindered when removing their powers would simply be too broken as they already have amazing chase potential.
-
I don't find myself needing 25 seconds of haste at most like 10-15s in order to help counter sb and whatnot.
-
I'm assuming they'll make Mikaela Velma for more moola.
-
Terrible for the overall health of the game. They should instead just fix Doctor causing seizures and Plagues emetophobia and other stuff like that. If you do not want to go against Kaneki, Blight, or Art, simply DC if it matters that much.
-
Pretty sure it was confirmed to be an original map unfortunately.
-
I don't think this is that big of a deal, you spent money are something got your money back.. and want more?
-
Really? I though I saw a post of someone saying he had special screams which ignore calm spirit and whatnot

Wish they make voice lines by the same people who did screams and grunts (at least for OG survivors) but guess that's will be problematic as those voices done by dev members I believe
If we lose the original survivor injured sounds I will literally die of disappointment

They are correct... Nothing can block killer instinct.

Survivors are just better overall nowadays and actually watch content creators. And pretty much everybody splits gen now so you have to practice applying pressure or just hold 3-4 gens

If you wanna win you will win. At least until you go against a locked in SWF, other than that just play to have fun there is a lot less BS.

No you should not ever scream when in lockers. Another one of these seems like we get locker screaming with every killer who comes with ability or perk that makes survivors scream. If you want report it on the betahub bug reports so it gets fixed.
Still are 100% sure you screamed as he gets killer instinct on survivors too so hiding in lockers will not prevent him from knowing you are there as that can't be blocked anyway and happens even if you don't scream.
Jason has "Special Screams" which ignore everything ig

When they give voice lines to everyone I hope they keep Lisa Garlands scream

Pretty sure its already set in stone after they announced it. Would be weird if BHVR hadn't thought of this lmao.

I agree with you, don't get me wrong. Just wish there was more variation to how they play rather than being able to do it perfectly every time. I never play ranged killers due to horrible aim. Since you're also on console do you have any advice on how to get better at that?
I play pretty much exclusively ranged killers and the best tip I can give you is to be super patient, don't flick, and if a survivor is dodging left and right just shoot the middle.

Currently venting because I'm quite frustrated at the moment. I'm trying to learn Jason for the first time (PS5 player), and the skill level of bots is genuinely infuriating. Even with absolutely ZERO perks and items, they always have perfect knowledge of looping routes from pallet to pallet without WoO, always know EXACTLY where I am, even when Undetecable and completely out of sight, have frame perfect dodges against projectiles, and Entity forbid they find a flashlight, because they WILL have 100% perfect accuracy and timing. It genuinely feels like I'm going against a team of fully experienced players beyond my own capabilities.
I admit this is absolutley also a skill issue on my part, but just to catch them I have to force them to triple vault windows, break every single pallet on the map, and very frequently cannot catch them without Bloodlust. Aiming on console is already challenging enough, and either toning them down for Customs or having settings would help immensely so I can actually learn how to play a specific killer rather than being having to use what specifically works against bots.
Also on console here, and isn't it better to have them be good at dodging compared to actual survivors so you miss less in pubs?
-
I don't think it should really apply to most killer powers anyways
-
probably a bug feel free to report it
-
@Brokenbones said:
It's pretty funny that basically nobody knew this was a thing because blinding Legion during a pallet vault is really difficult due to how fast it is
You'd need to time a flashbang perfectly to do it mid vault.
I almost wonder if this was added to stop problems from arising from Legion being knocked out of their power mid vault or something. (Even though you can blind them when they vault windows still, no idea)
Its actually a nerf lmao because in power you could vault, get blinded, it would instantly end your power and you could down the survivor. Same goes for breaking pallets/generators and whatnot its really good too use if you have good hearing.

Title, but to be more exact, why dont I see as many party streamers from the bloodweb as I used to? Before I could bulk up several levels and get a lot of streamers and other useful BP bonuses, but for the last few months is has seemed like I can't get many at all. I've even had to start leveling up characters individually again just to get some stacked up. BP seems like a weird thing to take from us since we get bonuses all the time anyway.
Bloodwebs are more cluttered than they used to there are now more items/offerings

Hundreds of hours on Wesker and I straight up just don't play him anymore.

Top 5?? I dont think she beats nurse, blight, kaneki, billy, dracula, larry, twins maybe then its spirit but deffinitely not top 5 more like in top 10.
My personal top 5 is Nurse Blight Billy Dracula Twins these are all pretty interchangeable though because as long as you're insane at any of the killers in top 10 they can end up being near or even better than top 5 killers. Imo the rest of top 10 for me is Spirit Larry Kaneki Vecna 2.0 and Krasue. I mainly am putting Spirit above Larry due to the fact that his counterplay is significantly easier than spirit which has little to no actual counterplay, same reasoning for her being above Kaneki as good spirits are pretty much guaranteed an injury per power use while Kaneki also has a lot more counterplay after recent changes.

ok generally what is with this huge guides? what are writing about? and where the hell can i find and read them
For some reason I am unable to post the link here, however Not Hens released a video titled "The 350 Page Spirit Guide Just Dropped" the link to the guide will be in the description of the video. I'm pretty sure he has another one related to Clown iirc. I think Carjam has a 150-200 page Springtrap Guide. Unfortunately those are the only ones I am aware of so good luck and have fun with the new reading material lol
-
Camera lock definitely needs to be removed, and honestly I'm not a huge fan of just giving him Vecnas ability.
-
Spirit is literally in the top 5 strongest killer if you cannot get value out of her that falls on you. I would recommend watching a content creator called Remylea as she is currently the best spirit player and has a bunch of video guides, along with a 350 page guide.

I'm pretty sure they indeed would have to recode their game from scratch to add in any Match Replay system, as others have mentioned.
Also, how exactly would your suggestion work with the consoles? They couldn't simply send a file to any console directly, it would have to be included in a future patch, way past the point it would be relavent.
Consoles have about 5 GB of separate storage per game for mods and whatnot so technically it could use that.
-
What I do when playing any killer and especially nurse is to kinda keep a mental map of each survivor and their rough location by keeping track of crows flying away, generator progress, scratch mark direction, ect. You can also do this mid chase once you get enough practice rather than just assuming they're in a area. I would also recommend playing spirit or learning how to track sounds through walls properly as this will greatly improve your ability to tell when someone is running away from the loop or taking an odd path that you wouldn't expect.
If you don't already do this: Use your first blink to teleport to where you last saw the survivor, then adjust with your second blink.

Speaking of skill expression
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4088138#Comment_4088138
How many killers have had their kits "dumbed down" so much that they literally play themselves nowadays.
Recent Unknown buffs made it impossible to cleanse UVX in a meaningful time, making it a guaranteed hit/down, whereas it took actual skill before to get injuries/downs with the power. Now you are damned if you do, or damned if you don't against him. Counterplay got removed completely.
Bubba has a plethora of add-ons that are skilless, and promotes tunneling/slugging. Even so, the players wants more buffs.
Ghoul.. well his entire kit pretty much plays itself, and the god-forsaken cancel-tech, which makes it impossible to gain any distance.
Wesker.. again, bugs and "techs" makes him really frustrating to play against, and players abuse the hell out of him.
So the moral of this comment is that BHVR needs to look into how the killers kits can allow for actual skill expression, instead of being overly spammy and easy to get good results with.
This is what I actually loved about the last Trickster rework. Not being able to mindlessly walk you down around loops as easily, and instead rely on the knives and being rewarding for good aim with them.
I also see a similar trend with Jason's kit, where it highly rewards good aim, and creative thinking to get the hits. That is my definition of a well-designed killer power.
Again, against both Jason and Trickster, survivors has counterplay, by using the terrain to their advantage.Tons of hours in unknown here and before you only had a chance to use 2 shots before they were cleansed which was extremely punishing for trying to go for skill shots, which Is why I wished it was made to 3 shots instead of the now 4 to 5 essentially guaranteeing a down.
Bubba is in an awkward spot right now I can't really comment aside from the fact that his power rewards you significantly for slugging which sucks.
I think hug techs on Wesker were completely fine before they removed the skill from them by making them extremely easy to do without being punished. I have about a hundred or more hours on wesker and stopped playing him because his power is unbelievably easy to use now and just flat out doesn't feel rewarding anymore.
I don't like over buffing killers or making them significantly easier to play such as Unknown or Wesker as it stops people from trying to learn actually difficult killers to play that have skill shots such as artist or pyramid head

Game that has a replay system usually needs to be build in the game when the game is created. Its basically one of the first things you do and then build the game around that system. Adding it to an existing game is hard or even almost impossible. With DBD I would say its the latter they would have to recode the whole game from the ground up. We most likely would not see a replay system until this game gets a sequel and most likely that is never happening as they are content of upgrading/updating this one most likely for another ten years.
In case you didn't know devs confirmed there will never be a dbd 2

Michael is too overpowered for a killer that you can not even get in the game anymore. He does not deserve to have a lunge that one hits regardless of the state of the survivor. OR, he should not be able to lunge across the map in a single use. He did not need reworked and you guys destroyed any fun that people have when they encounter Michael. He needs to be reworked again, nerfed, or taken out. It is BS. Thanks for reading.
Learn counterplay or how to loop properly before complaining. Once you do that I promise you he will no longer be overpowered.
-
I think it would be great to have a dinosaur or straight up real animal as a killer, too bad the grizzly wasn't an actual killer and instead was a skin for oni.
-
To start off I don't think Dead By Daylight is the type of game to have a replay system in the first place. Aside from the fact that this would take up tons of dev time when this year is already pretty packed. I don't think the cheating problem should fall onto the players as that simply doesn't make any sense and seems like a cop out for making a better anticheat.
In all honesty I don't think the toxicity in this game is a problem, like yeah sure it'd be nice if it wasn't a thing but there are many measures you can take to avoid it. Please note that I simply don't find bagging toxic as 9/10 its just used to get you distracted away from generators. Along with slugging, tunneling, protection hits, and gen rushing are not actually toxic as they are just ways to play the game. You did not clarify on what is considered toxic but I'm going to take a wild guess and assume it is one of the above.
Instead of this I would simply opt for the devs to implement a better anticheat.

Is that official art of what the entity actually looks like or fanmade?

What's the issue with using ai?
I and many other people personally don't like ai as it damages the environment, takes away peoples jobs, and my personal reason is that it just doesn't have a soul so its lowkey kinda scary to a lot of people. Especially when you pair all this with the news and whatnot feeding into every story of "Oh this ai tried to escape and hack the world" but in reality the story was "This ai was to to try to escape containment. This was done in order to see its capabilities and limit them ect." So it essentially just feeds into the hysteria even more.
Other than those reasons I would be fine with ai if we found an eco friendly way to use it, whilst still keeping most peoples jobs, and don't make it sentient lmao.

errr no..
-
Alarm clocks shouldn't make you immune even if its for a short duration this is constantly used aggressively and is unfun to play against
-
Map offerings nerf stopped me from going to Badham, Eerie, and Garden of Joy in half of my matches so I don't mind. I'm assuming you mean diminished returns for this next part. Diminishing returns are genuinely great for the longevity of the game unfortunately the patch received no perk changes and we won't be for a while so right now its a big negative for the game which is why I really wish they went through with the Haste & Hindered Rework.
The game is still the most balanced its ever been soo..
-
My idea for a minor nurse nerf is lose all tokens when injuring a survivor by any means, and when getting stunned. Possibly add white comb or just make it only affect second blink.

the 1 in 7 was merely an estimate - like I said I am sure I misdiagnose some cases and fail to recognize cheating in others - but that does not answer my core question about how ppl can blatantly cheat (when it does happen) and get away with it. For reference- where I mentioned the 3 stacks of pwf (15% haste) + the 2 stacks of blood lust (10% haste). How does one run in a mostly straight line, outrun me w/out using vaults, pallets, etc and have the anticheat not immediately see that as cheating? Yes they did use sprint burst but everytime I would get relatively close, they would suddenly get insanely quick again
The anticheat is notably pretty bad, it mainly relys on reports from my experience and even then it takes a week for them to even be banned. Even then people don't get banned mid game anymore.
-
@Doctor_Xenomorph said:
I would say in maybe 1 of 7 games I suspect a cheater so this is not a *common occurrence but it is common enough to warrant questions about how effective the anti cheat is. I am sure that I am mis-diagnosing some allegations whilst at the same time missing other legitimate cheaters.
I've been playing for years, majority of times if you think someone is cheating, they likely aren't. However you can test this by chasing the "cheater" and another other survivor tower in the same area to see if one is slightly faster than the other. If you report them, they will eventually get banned (if they were a cheater) and you'll be notified if they were hit with the ban hammer.
Also 1 in 7 games is simply WAY too much you are likely just going against a really good player.

Well i wanted to point out that The RE Remakes are on the Switch 1. They run Just fine with some Control Delay here and there. Other than that im sure the graphics update will do just fine on the Ps4 and Switch 1.
But if they do decide to Discontinue support I won't be surprised and I won't buy another console just to play the game.
That means i would not only Buy a PS 5 or Xbox (if they dont upgrade the game to Switch 2) but also buy the game again. That is dang expensive in the prizes of Gaming nowadays.
This isnt Behaviors fault but thats just my stand point on this situation. Ill just Quit The Game because its not worth it.
Am I crazy? Aren't most of the RE remakes about the same graphics as Dead by Daylight. I doubt they'll discontinue support either way as somewhere around a quarter (rough guess) of their player base likely plays on older devices.

I did, I'm pretty sure were both referring to Silent Shadow it is significantly better now since you get undetectable on each hook state instead of once at the start of the match and for the entirety of endgame now you get 143 extra seconds of undetectable spread throughout the match 13s each hook instead of just 13 at the start. Am I missing something?

This was in reaction of a job listing for generative AI which BHVR had online a few months ago. BHVR responsed to the claims that they will now be using AI-Art and similar.
However, the thing is, that DBD-people being DBD-people only understand half of it but talk double the nonsense to make up for it. Obviously we dont know what they will do exactly with generative AI, but if they say that it will not be put into the game, you can trust that. IMO the main complaints about AI are that especially creating AI-Art is basically theft, since it learns the art from actual artists and that it can cost Jobs.
However, you can use generative AI to speed up and optimize processes without losing Jobs or doing theft. An example would be that a Skin can be created by actual artists from BHVR, then ran through an AI to look where it can be improved and then those improvements can be done by the artist again. You would still need the artist for that AND you would not stealing from anyone, since someone at BHVR has created the base for exactly that.
Another option would be using it for developing a coding base. You can for example tell the AI to create a Perk which does a specific thing when you do another specific thing. Lets say you want to create a Survivor Perk that you gain Elusive for 8 seconds when another Survivor is hooked but you are exposed for 30 seconds. Generative AI can scrap what exactly is needed for this (a Hooking action, the status effect Elusive and the status effect Exposed) from DBDs own code and the programmer can then work with that as a base. Obviously you can also not do this Job without a human, because someone would need to check that it is correct and most likely tweak it before you can put it into the game, but it can speed up processes.
I know it is a common practice to ######### on BHVR here, but the statement quoted has a completely different context than any AI-video during the Livestream.
Thanks for a bunch of context!
