Can confirm that it says my code is invalid as well.
Side note: I also did not get the Sealed Letter Twitch drop, despite it being marked as claimed on my Twitch account. Is this also an occuring issue for anyone else?

Also on console here, and isn't it better to have them be good at dodging compared to actual survivors so you miss less in pubs?
I agree with you, don't get me wrong. Just wish there was more variation to how they play rather than being able to do it perfectly every time. I never play ranged killers due to horrible aim. Since you're also on console do you have any advice on how to get better at that?
-
I haven't received it yet. I was going to look further into it tomorrow (almost midnight where I am), but I'm sure it's an easy fix.
-
I remember in my early days (around the time Pyramid Head released) where I was in a match with an Ash and a Bubba on Coldwind. The Ash was running Bond and Open Handed, and purposefully kept bringing the Bubba to me (and I was absolutely not good at being chased). This would happen repeatedly until I was on death hook, so I quickly learned that I had to hide from both the killer and my own team mate, so I began going from locker to locker in an attempt to hide. Eventually it was just me and the Ash, and he somehow befriended this Bubba, and both set out hunting for me (which was a fairly short hunt with Bond). When I was found I was slugged on the floor while the Ash bagged on me and Bubba humped, and when they grew tired of that the Ash would heal me to full and the the Bubba would down me again, all lasting until the moment where I was about to fully bleed out, where I was then moried. Ash got to escape, and I was told by both survivor and killer that I sucked at the game, and should do some pretty bad things to myself.
-
I've very much enjoyed the Map Showcase. RPD helped me get a lot of progress done for Outbreak Breakout (only have about ~10 more matches to escape).
I'm currently hoping for the Disturbed Ward to appear to shoot for the Hemaphobia achievement. I personally wouldn't mind Map Showcase appearing every so often to be able to play on dedicated maps (such as Trickster's Delusion, where I still get lost).
-
My only bad take is that there should be a trial game mode developed where gens simply don't exist. Unique conditions are created to fight against and escape each killer, encouraging more engagement between players with an emphasis on chase. The class system of 2v8 is already a perfect starting ground in terms of abilities to choose from, and gives greater creativity in testing out new methods of gameplay per killer (I am genuinely not creative enough to come up with examples, sadly).
-
I really wish killer bots would be added to Custom Games. I feel being able to practice against specific killers in a no-pressure environment would help lesser skilled players understand what they're facing, especially against the less played killers.
As it stands the only way for newer players to practice is eithwr trial by fire, Customs (if they have at least one friend, and even then they begin to learn that player's specific playstyle and patterns), and the tutorial Trapper bot.
I'm not saying it will fix bad playstyles, but it may help curb what's seen in the wild.
-
One feature that I would love to see if bots being able to use equipped cosmetic sets. I want to see my fits from killer POV

I mean, the Armored Titan skin for Oni swings a crystal sword around and still uses the regular Oni stick for his power, as long as the weapon gets a bit of flavor then it can work.
The weirdest thing would be to get Lady Dimitrescu but at like half the size XD
So normal person height LOL
I genuinely would get myself Ethan Winters if he were ever a skin, along with Excella

hear me out… I think she works better as a skull merchant skin
The walk animation alone would be worth it, but it'd be strange to see her use the drones
-
I think Lady Dimitrescu could function as a skin on Nemesis. Just replace the tentacle whip with her extending claws, and the zombies with Moroaică skins. Give her that mad power walk.
-
I also miss earlier days of DbD, and not just for these changes, but also for a much smaller killer roster, where powers were way simpler and you could get a feel for them quickly. Yes, there was a LOT of abusable builds, but it worked for both sides, and the perk variety was good enough the even silly builds could come out on top. There was typically a lot more variety because nothing had been nerfed to the ground yet, and thus allowed for mpre unique playstyles.
-
I've played against bots before using a variety of killers, and the way they're currently programmed is a bit overtuned, as they can reqct directly to your inputs. Take for instance Scratched Mirror Myers: if you're able to corner a bot and there's no direct LoS to you, they react directly to your button inputs, even if you'e just standing there staring at them through a wall, so they can never be counterplayed. Ranged killers sich as Huntress, Artist, and Slinger can be more difficult to learn because they react instantly to projectiles.
It's not impossible to land shots, but it certain makes it more challenging to learn certain killers against them. There should be difficulty levels that can be selected to vary the learning experience, or at the very least tuned just slightly down.

Well, but in that case I think it's the fault of the survivors on your team, right? Because it's pretty easy to reveal and loop him.
Oh, absolutely, I'm not saying that we deserve the escapes or anything, just that he's been very effective as a partner killer.
-
We have the Creature from the Black Lagoon skin for Hag, and Lobster Dredge, as others have pointed out. Without any sort of body of water mechanics (would I'm certain would fry the game) the only thing I can think of is that a water based killer would be using puddles to get to and fro, a la Courage the Cowardly Dog style.
-
I've been having the opposite problem playing survivor. Played 5 matches so far and my entire team has been getting steamrolled through Oni's downs and Ghostface revealing several survivors at once. I know on maps with elevation (such as the shrine) or any patch of corn, and stalking should be pretty much guaranteed.

If you like it, then I'm not blaming you for it.
Blue is also one of my favorite colors.
That said, I don't see a SINGLE reason to change them after 8+ years just because "iNdUsTRy StAndArD".
The fact that the old colors were more colorblind friendly than the new ones is hilarious in itself.
I agree with this. It would he a different story if after changing it to blue (which is a lovely shade), they also incorporated having said blue revert to its original yellow as long as the colorblind settings were enabled.
-
I enjoy Artist. She's designed to be a trap killer, so running some aura perks greatly helps reduce the need for mind games. It's also fun to use the addons to spread the birbs to other survivors who are nearby when one is hit, and extend the aura reading some so you can line up a shot. It's also good to he conservative with your crows. If you only fire one off at a time to try to snipe, the cool down is a lot shorter than if you were to spam all three at once.

Wolf still needs far more changes. Its still terrible at tracking while the form was marketed as his tracking tool, and his pounce is still easy af to dodge and hard to aim.
I also dont even understand why the nerf to Hellfire. It was fine already, a ranged attack you could bait, dodge and is still hindered by not being able to go through high obstacles.
I agree. The only time I use Wolf Form is if I'm hunting for a survivor nearby and not using aura perks, and even then it doesn't feel that great or rewarding compared to bat form. Hellfire's only practical use is zoning and to ensure hits over windows and pallets. Otherwise it isn't something that's coming up that often.
@OmegaXII said:
Wolf change is NOT ENOUGH. The second pounce needs to be on Killer's Control, otherwise it can be dodged extremely easy.
Hellfire nerf also doesn't makes sense either. It's quite easy to dodge, so it's mostly used as a zoning tool. Besides, not many scenarios where you'll need to spam hellfire, because 7s is already a long time.
But luckily they didn't touch anything else, so I'll probably stick with him for now..
I would LOVE for the Pounce mechanic to be more akin to Nurse's Blink (where you can control the second pounce) as opposed to Wesker's mechanic (where it's automatic). Even if it reduced movement speed some to prevent catching up and instantly being able to hit.
@Choaron I'm surprised that they didn't give a cooldown to speed or attacking after coming out of shapeshift to address the main complaints.
It's disappointing to hear that these number changes aren't contributing much to enhancing wolf form's capabilities, as well as the nerf to his Vampire form. What changes could be made to make wolf better? I feel that the orbs are a neat tracking mechanic, but by the time I catch up to a survivor on orbs alone I could have easily used an aura perk and bat for better tracking. Should the bat and wolf movement speeds be inverted since bat can teleport, and then just increase the range that it can teleport to?

For killer, probably Candy Man. For survivor, either Elvira or Brenda Meeks, since voice lines are now on the table.

wait? How does resurgence counter it when hemorrhage deletes the healing progress?
If the unhooker immediately heals under hook, they can still get it off within ~7 seconds (if I'm doing my math right) even with the 50% debuff (assuming the unhooker has no healing buff perks or is using a Medkit)

Shattered Hope.
It would be kinda pointless now, but I think having its effect basekit would allow for future Boon perks / changes to be better and more in-line with what those perks should be.
I second this. The fact they made it a perk and not a base ability is to weird. If they were to make the ability basekit, I would rework the perk to now rebuild a broken totem and reignite a Hex perk in the killer's build once per trial (similar to Pentimento, and it would be randomized if there were multiple hexes brought, excluding Undying). That way Hexes get just a bit more value in game, and the killer can actively make the call as to when they bring it back into play.

I just run a relaxed "find and hook" build on Pinhead. Iron grasp, spies from the shadows, eruption and lightborn. Spies is a much slept on perk, it's a pretty descent way to find survivors who are trying to escape from the terror radius (on some maps more so than others) Iron grasp is because I just hate all the wiggling. Lightborn is just something I toss in there so I just don't have to ever think about flashlights.
I know some people have issues with lightborn, but I just play the game to have fun. I'm not running the big meta build with the best synergy and add ons to get the 4k. No offense to those who do. It's just not my bag.
Spies is a really good perk, and one of my favorites. It's usually pretty reliable, even against stealthy survivors. I think it's always fun when killers act like they don't have Lightborn equipped. Mindgame flashlighters and then give em that gotcha moment when it matters.

A fun little build I like to use is the Spooky Knight build.
It is funny because you don't expect it to work, since… well, Knight is loud. But you'd be surprised how often people just don't pay attention to the loud metal footsteps.
You can basically go with whatever you want here as long as you manage to remove your TR, but my favorite is the Town Watch's Torch. Send your guards to work then try to sneak up on someone else! It can be really fun.
I've yet to play Knight! Is he easy to pick up? I've heard he can he a bit buggy, unless that's been fixed. His guards do seem like fun though :)

The impossible totem build is hilarious! You run four hexes: Thrill of the Hunt, Pentimento, Plaything and Face the Darkness. Demi has a video on it :) Best killers for it imo are Trapper and Doctor.
It sounds quite nasty on Doctor, I'll have to give the video a look! Thank you for the suggestion!!

Some fun builds that might have been covered on youtube before:
Endgame speed legion: BFFs add-on with noed, no way out, machine learning, batteries included. Make sure machine learning activates when the final gen pops and you will be incredibly fast.
Stealth demogorgon: run vermillion webcap with red moss, ideally on an indoor map. Bring perks like tinkerer, discordance, spies, etc to discern location of survivors, and then use portals to sneak up on them. Exiting portals is silent and you have 16 seconds of undetectable after exiting, which means you can refresh the undetectable before you lose it by going into another portal. You can take off vermillion webcap and substitute it with another add-on that buffs portals if it suits you, and you would still have 13 seconds of undetectable.
Remote shock doctor: Bring unforseen, dark devotion, and two perks of your choice. I like quick gambit to change obsession and something to debuff survivors in your terror radius, like coulrophobia or unnerving presence. Kick a gen or hit the obsession to give them your terror radius, then you can remotely apply static blast through that terror radius at another time for massive confusion. Even better if you have a debuff perk or two that you can stick to the obsession or a generator!
Susie going vrrroom sounds right up my alley! I like the idea of stealth Demo. Entity knows I have never actually played him since I bought him years back. This could be a good build to try to get into him. The Doc buold soinds exciting! Do you know if using Dark Devotion and Unforeseen grants two separate Terror Radii at once, or must it be chosen? This one sounds like it can bring lots of chaos.

I've been having fun with a somewhat memes build on my Wraith. Perks are Distressing, Unnerving Presence, Coulrophobia, and Undone. Add ons are his All Seeing Spirit Iri add on (let's you see gen repair progress while cloaked) and his Beast Soot brown add on (terror radius active while cloaked, gain bonus BP on unblock hits). Also use a Jigsaw Piece offering to send yourself to the Game map.
Build is based around getting value out of Undone. Distressing boosts your TR so you get max value out of UP and Coulrophobia, and any missed skill checks feed Undone. Beast add on let's you mind screw with Survivors cause while they now have your TR they still don't always know where you are, and with how small Game is they are almost always in the TR. All Seeing than let's you know where best to use Undone and also helps you find Survivors.
It's not the best build out there but I'm getting 3-4Ks pretty regularly, which is something cause Wraith is one of my main and best Killers so his MMR should be decent
Not gonna lie, as survivor this would royally mess with me, and I think that's an exciting build to run! It really flips everyrhing on its head. I love add ons that allow killers to utilize their power in unique and unconventional ways
-
Omg yes, absolutely this. I'll have a challenge selected, and then with my goldfish memory forget what my actual goal of the match was halfway through. The notifs during are a nice, but like a faded version of it in the top right corner would also help so I can reference it during play.

I've been trying a similar build on my Dracula! Fire Up, Batteries Included, and No Way Out for the lategame ramp-up. Does Brutal Strength work when you use wolf pounce to destroy pallets? If so, might give that a whirl.
On teams I don't feel that pressured over, lately I've been playing with Weave, Hoarder, and Human Greed. Aura read around items, aura read around chests, and lots of chests. It's actually really good in indoor maps, though on Swamp and Coldwind it's unbelievably bad. And most survivors don't interact with chests, but it's hilarious with the ones that do, because it turns the game into a matter of chest control because you really want to keep them closed.
Franklins would make this way more effective, but nobody likes playing against that and the point is to mess around, so I just use a fourth perk of my choosing.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3829187#Comment_3829187
The AAAAAAA build! Love that. My AAAAAAAA build was Face The Darkness, Deathbound, Iron Maiden, and Ultimate Weapon. Hilarious games. It's logistically a really awful build because the screams stop providing information when they could mean literally anything, but who cares when everyone's screaming their heads off.
I actually haven't been paying much attention to the cool down timer for Pounce when breaking stuff, so I'mma need to test that out! I want to say that with both Brutal and Fire Up, it feels faster by the time end game hits (I've been too focused on just maintaining chase and proper aim)
A Chest Control build sounds super interesting! Kind of ties in to the original way Drac's perks were designed, so I'll also give that one a try!

Yes that’s the one 😊
The speed boost feels great. Also it’s funny to see Survivors not expecting it when the chase leads to a completed gen. When the end game starts I don’t like to camp the hook or the slugs so it’s nice as an end-game mobility tool.
I'll have to give it a try then, thank you! I just jeed to purchase Chucky LOL

What a fun build 😄 Any mention of puppy Drac always gets me to smile.
I like how you’re using Fire Up. It’s also one of my favorites for silly builds.
Recently I’ve been using Batteries Included, Fire Up, Distressing, and Deerstalker, sometimes I’ll switch out Deerstalker for Noed if I want to give the Survivors one last fright. They always escape too, usually by crawling. The only time the Survivors die is if they fail to save each other from the hook.
Batteries Included is a Chucky perk, right? Is that the one where you get a small speed boost when you're around completed gens? How has that one been working out for you?
-
It only really shines for good loopers, or those that can escape chase, but even then it's outclassed by other perks. Second Wind is one of my favorites, since it encourages altruism and rewards it with a fast heal.

Bring back old BBQs blood point bonus as basekit, but only increase the counter as long as all survivors are alive, heck we could also just go higher and higher till 8 hooking everyone.
We could also maybe give it an old Grim Embrace like effect once the killer hooked every survivor for the first time, blocking or regressing the gens in the match - but only if no survivor died by that point. The idea is to give the killer a tangible boon for spreading hooks and not tunneling a survivor out ASAP.
This. When old BBQ was active, I noticed the hooks states were far more spread out. The killer should get a bonus for performing well with each hook state, to continue to incentivize getting at least 8 hooks without hard tunneling or slugging. Slowing the speeds of gens or survivor actions by a certain percentage (nothing insane) while a survivor is hooked that increases with each unique hook state would lessen the need for full gen defense builds, and on the other hand survivors should also earn a different type of bonus of some sort when rescuing or staying on hook courage more team work between survivors to keep each other alive and not immediately try to go next. I'm desperate for any incentive for survivors to stay in the game and for killers to have a healthier playstyle.
-
I'm really sorry to hear that, truly, but I thank you for sharing. My mom is currently having a second battle with uterine cancer right now. We've both had the talk about the high risk she currently faces, and the reality that we have to face if she loses. It's hard, and it really makes moments seem inifitely shorter when each day passes by so rapidly
-
It's gotten to the point where I genuinely want killer bots so I don't have to constantly go against incredibly unhealthy builds and playstyles that don't make the game fun, but rather is just out to make matches as miserable as possible for no reason.
I'd sooner see every perk in the game deleted and replaced with classes, or give me a single player mode, because the mindset of players (killer and survivor alike) are just at an all time low, and nothing is being done to condone more cammeraderie amongst players in a game meant to be enjoyed.
-
Resurgence is the counter to this
-
Can confirm I'm getting the exact same errors, including a Save Game Error (Error Code: 130). I was able to play about two matches before getting booted out, with no way to get back in.

I got it from a Rift on my Switch a long time ago. Inwas very sad when I had to make the swap to computer, because I couldn't get it back for the longest time. I can't tell you how happy I was when Switch finall got cross progression. I haven't seen it since, though. Hopefully they make it widelt available again
-
If it weren't for the fact the they make a sound when teleporting, Unknown would be fantastical at jumpscares if you were to combine Third Seal, Undetectable, and aura reading.
-
The ghosty Dredge won my heart instantly, as did the outfit for the Huntress. There are so many well designed selections that I had a hard time picking.
-
The only thing they want is to fuel their ego. I often find that these types of players are the biggest detriment to their team if all they do is cry for you to pay attention to them all match.
-
I'm an ex Switch player, although I thought some coding for cross progression had been data mined recently? I might be misremembering, so take it with a grain of salt. I started playing on it during COVID, but once I finally got a PC I switched to it and was enjoying the game far more since it ran better. I did have to grind all the way back up and reinvest, so I do hope I can collect on my switch profile someday.
-
I've started running Spies in the Shadows. People will expect aura builds and run Distorion, but they won't expect you to find them using borbs, and honestly it's pretty good in terms of needing to find people while they essentially now have one less perk.

@Laluzi said:
Bad faith players. I've had to get good at ignoring it and moving on, but I really hate encountering survivors or killers whose idea of fun is to make the other side miserable (bming and taunting, bully squads, bleeding out, etc.) This also includes people who set out to play hardball to 'prove a point' to the other side (not bringing a cake and tunneling because you want to win and forgot to change your offerings is kosher, but not bringing a cake and tunneling because you're angry at survivors and want them to suffer is a jackass move.) Also teammates who kill themselves on hook the second they see a killer not on their pre-approved list and that killer commits the cardinal sin of not being stupid and falling for their dumbtech.
Bad interactions are consistently the worst part of DBD to me, and usually the factor that pushes me back towards singleplayer games.
Very much this. I feel so excited players take this game way too seriously and need to take a step back and remember that that's what it is: a game to be enjoyed. Going into matches with the mindset of "punishing" the other side or trying the match as miserable as possible just because a player can is a sign that one should really take a break from the game (Entity knows I've bad to force myself to take breaks on several occassions).
Also toxicity between survivors. I've seen some atrocious behavior between "team mates" based on beliefs of a player not performing well enough, not being apart of a SWF (I've been left to die on first hook simply because I happened to be the random), or because of weird stigma on which survivor one happens to be playing (seen a few matches where Megs, Mikaelas, Dwights, and the like were really harped on sinple because of who they played)
-
Bloody/mangled survivor clothes/bodies for Legion and Unknown, respectively. I feel that could be fun
-
Usually the Unknown with Plaything, Third Seal, Unforeseen, and a free slot (usually Pentimento, Pop, or Grim) with an indoor offering. I want to give the spooks. More often than not it's just to mess around and chill
