I hate this. I use batteries because I know I have back ups ready to go for these times, but it usually gets me hooked
-
I really wish I could. With the game crashing bugs in the beginning, to the DC rampage when penalties were off, to consistently just getting the worst experience because everyone is playing super sweaty, it just hasn't been fun at all. People really have no chill with these events and it's very demoralizing trying to enjoy anything
-
I would be all in on this, as it would make Moris a really brutal show and spice things up
-
I'm pretty sure because you blocked him into a corner and forcing that survivor into a position of being unable to do anything, yes, it can be considered taking them hostage. The other three survivors can end the game for sure, but that player was outright denied the ability to do anything.
-
Because she's too glam to give a damn

They come up to you and tbag you if they want heals. They're adorable.
They do seem to get caught in infinite window vaulting loops, though, so they're not quite past the Turing Test yet. And yeah, if they were ever to be implemented as real teammate replacements, I would definitely want to see them fight to the bitter end instead of mimicking the human propensity to go "######### it, next game."
Legit I thought they already did, and I hope they're recoded to not do that. I honestly can't wait for them to be implemented

Why couldn't we have had "do X thing in a trial" and you get the cosmetic in post? That's what they did for the Masquerade thing. Why make it so complicated?
Probably just to try new methods without the foresight of how players would interact with these mechanics. I appreciate them experimenting with different styles of play for events to try to keep things fresh, but I gotta say that this isn't it.
-
My only gripe is being able to steal Rift energy from one another. I understand it's for more interaction between killer and survivor, but it isn't panning out well from my experiences.

@SOULWARRIOR71K said:
Hooks breaking after a survivor is sacrificed on it. This outdated mechanic unnecessarily creates deadzones, which thereby forces slugging. If basekit unbreakable ever makes it to the live servers, this will be a nightmare.
Seriously, this change needs to be implemented, especially because Midwich hooks can be a nightmare to deal with. You permanently lose one hook and suddenly one side of the map can be completely dead for the rest of the trial.
-
I understand your pain. Started out on Switch for a year before I got a gaming PC. I felt really weird about having to restart from scratch, but trudged forward anyway. Undortunately it led me to rebuying most of my stuff since I didn't know when cross progression would come out. I'm still hopeful so I can get the limited time exclusives back

A special code that leads to a surprise announcement to nerf the Pig

I'd even go so far as to say she is "S" tier on a map like Midwich where it is small enough for her to teleport to ANY trap
Can vouch for this. I played against her on this map last night and honestly felt that there was very little I could do, as I was soloing without a flashlight and she was just everywhere at once gaining massive pressure.

The Rocky Horror Picture Show
Killer: Dr. Frank-n-Furter
Survivors: Brad and Janet
DLC Outfits: Convention Goer Attire
Map: Castle Frank-n-Furter
Chase Music is a rendition of the Time Warp
-
I'd love to see Sam from Trick'r'Treat, even if only as a cosmetic for Victor
-
I'd love to see a blighted Artist, I feel that could be sick. I'd also like to see Dredge. I imagine that would be some high quality horror design right there
-
Honestly anytime survivors DC during a mori or during the death hook animation. Like you're this close to ending the match, just why.
Also had a survivor DC while I was playing Artist. She pallet stunned me and tried to blind me. I was running lightborn, and the moment she found out she quit (despite owning the greatest threat to Artist's power)
-
Survivor sided for sure. I'm very interested in seeing how things play out, because on the one hand I absolutely hate players that just slug at 5 gens and leave to bleed out, but on the other I know just how important and game changing slugging can be when the situation calls for it. I'm just glad I'm off tomorrow so I can jump straight in

I completed it right when i started playing dbd lol. Got baby survivors who fell for it. Maybe try dropping your mmr and face baby survivors?
I'd honestly hate to do that, but it looks like that may be my only choice since it's very easy to figure out what's happening.
-
@Brokenbones said:
Only worth it for completionist sake
Most of it is just luck, some builds can make it easier here and there but if just 1 survivor wants to run into lockers; there is nothing you can really do about it.
With enough attempts you'll eventually get it, it depends how much sanity you're willing to sacrifice.
From my trials and errors, prolly gonna sacrifice all my sanity
-
DCing of any kind (unless it's against hackers)
Team mates hiding in corners while I'm hooked with Kindred
Sand bagging
Killers that slug at 5 gens and then just sit and watch the bleed out
-
I'm very happy to see an announcement made. It's astounding that in a week over 2000 were banned, and yet still more roam free in games. I believe the failsafes will help immensely (although I'll quell my argument that they should have been implemented sooner).
-
Really they needed to be asking more pertinent questions of how we think they could help reduce the number of cheaters and then provide options rather than asking how frustrating it is, because cheaters will always make matches an actual nightmare.
The best thing right now is to disable DC penalties until there's a more efficient solution in place. I'd honestly rather frequently encounter players who rage quite for petty reasons than endure what amounts to an in game warden harassing everyone.

The way the system is designed you can't know for sure if your high MMR. From what I understand your MMR is more of a calculation that an actual number. A calculation that may potentially change from match to match if the value of the others in the match are used in it's determination.
Possibly it takes into account the number of matches a set of survivors have played together as a team. If a survivor is using a flashlight it might take into consideration how well the survivor is at using flashlights(I personally am horrible at using them).
It might also take into account how well you/the others in the match are at using the perks they have chosen. If someone chooses Decisive Strike and usually succeeds at the skill check versus someone who chooses it and misses the skill check more often than they succeed then perhaps that would affect their MMR in different ways.
Furthering that on if two survivors both choose Decisive Strike both of which regularly succeed at the skill check and escape also choose Dead Hard. Only one of them is good at escaping the killer after using the perk and the other usually get's caught by the killer perhaps that affects their MMR.
The formula for that calculation could be based on a number of factors such as comparisons, other calculations and so forth. We don't know. If the previous system hadn't been abused then perhaps we wouldn't need a system like this. It was abused however and now now we have this which from my experience has been better than it's predecessor.
That's very good insight, thank you! I will say I havent seen DS at all in any of my killer games, but DH is more prevalent, and I'm always amazed at the survivors who can get the exact timing.

Stick with it. The same way you did when you transitioned from low to mid-tier MMR. Don't dodge lobbys, even if it's an obvious SWF. Manage your time, plan ahead. Learn from your mistakes and losses.
Identify the gens you have to protect and the ones you can afford to lose in the first 10 seconds of the game. Don't let any of them go easily but protect your inner gens above all, even forgo chases if you need to.
Mind game EVERYTHING. Drop chases when needed but always think. Like if I kill this survivor here will I create a hook dead zone?
You'll be playing against pretty much all swfs now so take that into consideration. Assume they're constantly communicating everything, don't fall for their tricks.
Sucks to say but anything other than optimal builds is kinda shooting yourself in the foot.
So congratulations! You've reached high MMR! Every game will be a sweatfest for a while but this is it, once you can consistently body these survivors you have officially beat Dead by Daylight.
Best of luck!
Thank you for the advice! I've started scouting three gens every match now to help keep the game at a close distance (although it sucks if one happens to be on a different floor), and mind gaming is still something I'm working on against them. I've found myself looping myself at a tile only for them to be long gone LOL

People in high MMR don't complain about losing...
Not high MMR, higher. I can tell that the other players are def much more skilled than I am in play rn.

I'm sad to see that Iri shards weren't included, but I'll take it
-
I'm currently burning all of my RPD offerings to get this done. My team mates and the killer do not appreciate it
-
He just has a really good gaming chair
-
I know how much of a pain in the ass it is as survivor, so I've been running Enduring/Spirit Fury while kicking gens as much as possible when playing killer.
-
I really like sitting by the fire. I love the aesthetic of it, and aside from the darkness of the house and the big bushes I feel it's pretty well balanced.

I've had it happen a few times recently. Yesterday I was in a lobby I didn't want to play so I left. A few mins later I tried again, same lobby.
It's kind of disconcerting, that the player base is low enough that this is happening more regularly.
It's happened to me a few more times since I posted this. I'm also concerned because it means that the player base has massively shrunk enough that there isn't much room for player diversity.

it happens sometimes I'm of the opinion that knock out has always been a problematic perk and should be reworked
The worst part is I can't tell if killers are doing it to troll or because they suffered a bad match prior and are taking it out on a different group of survivors. Either way, it's demoralizing trying to play matches and then being denied to do anything.

If they added the Nostromo or even the the Derelict on LV426...imma die the first 5 games just to get a chance to explore. Not sure if it'll ever happen. But man it would be the first licensed killer I'd get really excited about.
Same. When RPD and Midwich were first released I legit would just wander and explore. I'd love this way more if a deal were ever made with the license holders.
-
Honestly I'd love Alien in the game and have that terrific match of Survivors in Space. Plus I'd love to see a rendition of the USCSS Nostromo as a map
-
I believe we call that anime chin
-
I very rarely encounter her, sadly. I miss the Mind game chases with her. I encountered one for the first time in weeks the other day on Dead Dawg, and she slaughtered us all. Felt good to see her in action tbh
-
I've gotten used to face camping, as unfun as it can be. Although I always run Kindred just in case it's Bubba, because at that point that's a massive dare for my team mates to save, and one that does not end well lol
-
Currently on this and the Nurse challenge, myself. I've been burning hatch offerings and bringing a key and Plunderer's. Then just being that survivor that runs away the second the TR appears. I hate to play like this but it's very difficult to get to the point where hatch spawns rn. Still trying tho

@Akumakaji said:
I am pretty sure that you can hit the same survivor twice, but 15s is a really short time frame, so maybe you were just off by a second?
Would it be worth it to run STBFL to help make that 15s window? I've been having great difficulty with it.
Edit: I ask because I don't currently have that perk on killer.
-
I usually do to apply pressure if a game has been going badly for me, and if I catch a survivor it helps to force the team to start making decisions as opposed to lolligagging around.
-
I'm very sorry this is happening to you. I have yet to encounter this myself, but it does concern me greatly how malicious people are over a game. I'd say wat the ban, log off for tonight, contact support and see if they can get it reversed, and take the time to do something that genuinely makes you happy.

I mean it's not like he's playing maliciously or anything. He's just the stereotypical solo queue stomper.
That's fair. I honestly haven't escaped against a Blight since he was released and people were still trying to learn him.

I keep getting this same Blight with a fake ttv handle. Not really a fun killer to go up against.
I take it blocking does nothing, right? :/

In my experience, it's extremely rare with crossplay on (though I've had it happen a few times - my favorite instance was during the Bone Chill event where the repeat survivor recognized my killer outfit and remembered I liked goofing off in the previous round we'd played that night. Immediately wandered up to me in a snowman), but it happens pretty commonly when crossplay is off.
Though it does make me wish we had a 'continue playing with this lobby' function. Sometimes you get a solo team you really click with, only to scatter to the four winds.
My cross plays on, which is why I was so surprised by it. I do wish we had a feature like though! I feel it'd be a great option to have, because it allows you to get more consistent team mates than to leave it up to random chance.

Not to be that guy, but shouldn't you be playing a single player game instead then? You cannot blame people for trying their hardest, and you can't blame new survivor's who randomly got dumped into your game for being terrible.
I'm was mostly frustrated with myself. I know what solo queue is like nowadays, so I only have myself to blame, but still I always have hope that I can get the challenges done, you know? For better or worse, I love the interactions I have in game with people, even if they don't got how I hope.
