Besides the quests, of course.
There is simply no new mechanics for them, no buffs, nothing, only insanely strong mechanics that only work for the survivors. The only thing the killers get are some small dessert buffs once the game is pretty much over.
Like, why would anyone queue up in a mode where you're simply at an overwhelming disadvantage? lmao
Killers??? what, people still enjoy this role?
No but in all seriousness…. this event was clearly made by someone that have no idea how it is to play killer.
I normally dont tunnel when i on rare occasions play killer, but with this event…. not tunneling isnt an option.
But as you said, i would prefer to just play killer in normal mode or buffed survivor in event mode

I do get random perks, its as if im playing chaos shuffle, but only for my killers.

Is there any kind of proof to the claims that most BHVR members are survivor mains? Do they stream or something? I think that’s a bit big of a claim.
they dont hide what they play as. I cant doxx anyone, but do some research if you think im making things up

We just ask for a minimal of respect BHVR.
Don't try to make a fool of us by gaslighting with this kind of thing. Most if the few BHVR members that do actually play, are survivor mains.. just saying. If they just had game testers if each role, a lot of issues might have been solved before they arise. But ofc. most people playing 80-90% of one side will be biased and think its ok.

I gave up on the reporting tbh..
I dont think bhvr cares, its all about getting as much money from us, while spending as little as possible.
DLC still sells, no matter how big the cheating gets.

how about we buff the F tier and E tier killers first, and nerf the S and A tier. makes no sense to adjust the middle before the worst and the best are adjusted

Increasingly lately anonymous mode is used primarily by griefers who will bring a luck offering and "go next" on first hook if the match doesn't pan out the way they want to. Otherwise I've had people grief by trolling at the start of the match, or it's used by killers to be exceeding toxic in a match in the safety that people won't know who they are and they won't face any repercussions to their actions. It's frustrating that you CAN'T avoid these people, a bunch of other games have a feature where you can avoid a people by putting them on a list, isn't it high time DBD did this? Why are we forced to play with griefers?
You could say it's for streamers but it's so easy to snipe in this game, it happens all the time, so what's even the point? All it does is foster toxicity and it protects the toxic people.
On a separate note how useless is the block function? Or even reporting people, I RARELY get feedback reports when people are blatantly cheating. Including certain notorious bots that are livestreamed on youtube. It's pretty disheartening.
the point is to protect us, because some elements in the dbd community will get back at you at any cost if you beat them, this include posting ######### on your steam. I always play in anon, and i dont cheat or play toxic, but i like the layer of privacy protection it gives me.

One of the killers had a "buff" on their skill, with 0,05 sec cast time. Whats even the point with that? no one are gonna feel that change.

If you wouldnt have played killers for years, you would have gotten survivors that hardly even know how to loop whatever many pallets there are. Your story doesnt really work. Nobody needs tunneling at all. Killers just love to make this a self-fullfilling prophecy for them.
I played some more games yesterday, and i won with no issues. So im starting to think that i ran into smurfs or cheaters.

but it gives survivors enough time to run for the next pallet

The Pallets are a lot more unsafe tho. You cannot just go after the pure numbers. When you had 3 Jungle Gyms back then (very safe Tiles, where the Killer needs to kick the Pallet), you might now have 4-5 weak Pallets, which dont require immediate kicking.
that was not what i experienced

Like seriously just remove them at this point. 20% chance is absolutely pointless, if it was 50 they might be worth using. But individual map offerings are so rare that you could easily waste all of the ones you have on a low prestige character and never even see the map you want to play.
They were never a particularly healthy offering to begin with. Either swfs bringing them to get a survivor sided map to make killers miserable or killers bring one for a map that suits their basekit for an easy game. * cough* sadako, * cough*
Sure some people just wanted to get the map based achievements but now the offerings are useless for that.
all they do now is clutter up the bloodweb. And i resent paying for a rare offering that probably won't proc.
they got abused by some swf's, they just kept spamming 1 or 2 maps they were really good at, or knew some spots on those maps where the killers could not hook survivors if they had boil over ect. so when they got in a chase they just ran there.

Reporting in-game is not enough, especially in the case of cheats it's imperative that you send in evidence in the form of a video clip. Because too often people accuse others of cheats when it was just a power or perk effect that did something they did not understand. You need concrete evidence of cheating to back up your report.
Dosnt help much tbh.. i stopped recording my videos, because its such a time waste to spend 20 minutes filling reports when you see cheaters. If they want to combat this, they must improve the report system. And add server side validation ect.
At this point i just go next… cheaters are not going away

Yes, that's the whole point of DS. So it clearly does something…
You want to extend the process as much as possible so your teammates can try to finish gens before you die.
those 10-20 secs dosnt help on the issue, you are out of the game anyway

It has been quite some time since Krasue was added to the game, and like many new killers she went through the usual phase of community hate. A lot of players initially didn’t want to understand how her power works. However, after months of gameplay, people have figured out a very simple counterplay: just grab a mushroom and bodyblock the infected survivor during a chase. This can waste a huge amount of the killer’s time, and from the killer’s perspective it also feels very repetitive and boring.
The gameplay loop often looks like this:
infect → lose time → get bodyblocked → start all over again.
Because of that, I think infection should be more dangerous. Right now, getting infected barely matters. A survivor can simply eat the mushroom and go back to repairing a generator without worrying about any real consequences.
Infection should create meaningful pressure. For example, while infected a survivor could have their aura revealed to the killer, or hindered penalty. The idea is that when someone gets infected, they should actually think twice before taking risks.
Head Form
One idea would be to leave Krasue’s body behind when switching forms. The body would still emit a terror radius, while the head itself would become Undetectable but keep its movement speed.
I don’t think this would be too strong considering that Krasue can only attack infected survivors.
Another important change would be allowing the head form to break pallets. Honestly, this might be even more important than other changes. The pallet vault that exists now is rarely used because it’s too slow and very predictable.
The usual killer rework time is about 5 years, so good luck with that. SM should still be in front of that rework line, but im guessing that they postponed it again. New DLC (milking our wallets) > Fixing the game > Fixing the killers > Anti-Cheat

m1 isn’t a ranged aoe attack that can hit multiple survivors at the same time. It is common knowledge that you don’t cleanse against the plague. Go watch any video by any content creator.
I would rather be able to take 1 ranged or m1 attack and still be able to flee, than just being downed instantly from an m1 attack
-
@MashedBroccoli said:

because when you cleanse she gets her red puke which injures you. Being broken is better than giving her power. Especially when your teammates know her counterplay stay broken and you cleanse give her a ranged attack and now your teammates gets destroyed.
If you are broken you are 1 hit anyway

Ardetha deep dives on why Ghoul is the most hated killer in the game but also loved by his mains he also talks about if Ghoul has counterplay or not finally if he's destined for a Complete rework.
Off topic, but i dont understand this, Why not cleanse the Plague? not cleansing means you are permanently one hit ??
now imagine her playing with PWYF, she would catch up pretty quick, and if she uses perks where she have no terror radius on top of that..

It makes me sad, he deserves a rework along with the other weaker killers
it will take about 5-6 years for a rework, if bhvr decides to make one, look at Freddy and Skull Merchant.
Will we still be playing this in 5 years? tossing money at new perks every 3 months, for a game with a cheater problem that have been there for 6+ years, by now i think its clear that bhvr dont care about that.
-
I said this before, and i will say it again
Sadly these threads does nothing :

Tbh I did watch the video of scotjund where he coments his feeling about him on his map and I agreed with most there he realy looks much slower and has less shots so missing hurts a lot and the weaker laceration duration is making this even worse (3 seconds doesnt look a lot but on 5% slower killer that is now even slower when he throws and if he throws more knifes he slowes even more that hurts).
It looks his new gameplay wont be spaming knifes but more knife tapping like some of his mains do this where you just shot knife by knife and make every hit than just spam them.
To me he looks bit weaker and more map dependent especialy if I count that main even is way less accessable and common to get while he cant use it where it was worth it like near hooks even in endgame which sucks (if they nerf killer powers near hooks I of that oppinion that in the endgame when gates are powered after last gen has been done the killer shouldnt have any downside or limitation on his power around the hook).
For endgame he would prob gain from perks like Batteries Included, tbh. i have not played him my self, as its rare that i play killer. But im getting a bigger whopping from him compared to what i normally do, that being said, ptb killers are really sweaty this time, so that could be the reason..

If he is so lethal as you say than he might be ok because slow killers should have strong powers to help them get fast downs especialy when they dont have any type of mobility.
I will see when I try him and try to go against him but from just patch notes and some videos I watched I see him as more extream version of the first 110 version where he was good/great in open area and on low profile loops and poor begar/weak on high wall loops.
I think that making the shots count is the bread and butter, they really hurt. But yeah some people might need to learn the new playstyle.
-
@Abbzy said:

They down you fast but when he has no los than he must slowly catch up which will be terrible against loopers that use check points and prerun.
Only upside for slower speed that helps against prerunning is that he has smaller terror radius.
Catching up have not been a problem, common tactics on both current and ptb version is to break LOS as much as possible. Im still getting downed faster by the ptb version. Not just for me, but my whole team (both full swf, and with randoms or mixed random and partly swf).
I hope that they dont go through with the ptb. version, because its not as weak as OP make it sound.
-
@Abbzy said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4060032#Comment_4060032
He is just trickster he was just more overdone meaning that when he was 110 speed he was super deadly when you werent covered and you were (as survivor) in open area or on loop tile that is low so he could shoot over it and hit you but when you went on high wall/profile loop like jungle gym or shack he was bad like real bad and this version is just more extream version of that 110 because when he throws he is slower and slows even more than before he did and than he is casualy 110 speed not 155 so he is slower and takes longer to catch up.
Pros if I wont count some s style:
less knifes to injure, smaller trerror radius, (s- style rank), the more you throw wheli holing m2 like machine gun the faster you throw speed becomes
Cons: slower movement speed (base one, when throwing), slower throwing speed (unless he is in s-rank style and that is timed),less knifes, rapid throwing (meaning the more knifes you throw in one go holding m2 throwing them like machine gun) he becones even slower
Laceration got big nerf
So in short he is king in open area and on low profile loops he can shoot over and hit survivor and poor peasant beggar when is loopen on high wall/profile loops because he is just slower now.
From previous time survivors hated old trickster, they hated trickster all the time but less now because he isnt that common but now they will remember why they hated him in the start.
As a survivor, I would rather go against the current version, than the one thats on the ptb.
have you tried? those blades down you really fast now.
And OP forgot the full text :

Cheaters will always get into your games, you cant avoid it, any tool you think you can use, can be used against the killer or taken advantage of.
Dodging anon-mode?, make a ######### username.
Dodging based on profile?, private profile with a random pfp or play on console/epic.
The list goes on.
I had alot more killers just dodging lobbies when i played in swfs than i ever did randomly getting queued with a cheater.
If i see anyone with a VAC ban on their account, im leaving the lobby.

As a soloq survivor, I lose matches all the time. It's not unusual to have a situation where almost everybody is death hook at four gens. Yet it never feels like a miserable defeat to me. It doesn't feel PERSONAL. I never get the feeling like the killer is doing things on purpose to get under my skin.
But playing killer tonight after a long time of playing survivor really reminded me of what the OTHER side of the game feels like. First match, within minutes a survivor runs up to me, nods and points and tries to get me chase them. Which they do repeatedly all during the match. I got hit with head on, bags at every pallet. And I wasn't playing toxic, it was four gens and I hadn't really done anything yet.
I'm not saying this kind of stuff is toxic. I think it's kind of cocky to run up to the killer and nod and point and all that. I think the impression is that of really confident survivors who want to show off how adept they are at the game. Which is fine I guess. But encountering "super confident survivors" who nod, bag, point and follow you around all during the match gets really old when it pops up in the majority of your games. Literally right out of the gate. (With the obligatory exit gate bags at the end. Obviously)
I do want to get back into playing killer the way that I use to. Because I like the killers that I have. But man, I just don't know how killer mains handle do it. It is SO much pressure, along with everything else.
This and cheaters (that bhvr obiously dont care about) are the reason i wont play killer, but bhvr cares as little about that as they do about getting a solid anticheat. They have enough players on both sides, and the game is a golden goose, why invest in anything when you can just get the payouts every 3 months.?

Been playing a few games as survivor and these have been getting a bit way too out of hand...
Genuinely, why were they scrapped in the first place?
I understand that the anti-tunneling needed a major rework, but why was anti-slugging also scrapped with it?
While i hate beeing tunneled and slugged, there are games where there are no other options, if the killer want to win, and i bet that they want to win as much as survivors .
I remember there was a video from Little Space Rock, she could not pickup any survivors because there was always someone near with a flashbang or a flashlight, her only option was to slug all 4 survivors. Unless she would have to throw the game.
