I know i know, i'm not a good survivors. But i have played around 25 survivor matches since its release and i didn't face judgement ONCE. I played it a bit myself, but as expected it's not a killer for me. I was so sad that i only faced legions or huntresses and one wesker. Am i the only one?
Tbh, launching pillars can just be masochist punishment when playing against some player.
And while I understand the 4.4M speed, at this point, there's 43 other killers I can get fun than that thing.

I would be lying if I said that yes I face 4 Escapists every game. No, that's not that case, I do face them often, but not nearly every game, so yes, it's not always the class which is picked all the time.
Doesn't change the design flaw of sprint burst on demand. As you correctly stated, it is the most visual of the abilities, as Medic, the other visual ability, has a much larger cool down, so it's seen less frequently
The other issue being, the flashbacks of old Dead Hard. As a killer, you are not outplayed by skill, you are outplayed by pressing a button, and it leaves such sour aftertaste. It's made worse by the fact that it's an actual sprint burst, so the possibilities are so much larger compared to dead hard for distance.
Needless to say, the peak of frustration is when it's 4 Escapists. You are pretty much forced to always be next to your killer partner, because solo you are now powerless, every survivor you chase might be an Escapist, or have an Escapist nearby, they press button, and now even if you snuck up on them, they win the start of the chase, cuz button pressed. And you can't just leave and go find other survivors, they have Escapist too.
It's previous iteration, which was an aura sprint burst pretty much, was already strong, and then they giga buffed it more, and never did anything with it. I mean, they could at least make it 1v4 exhaustion timer, but now, it's 20 seconds, which is laughable
Thats exactly what I am feeling. The fact that the cooldown is 20 seconds feels like everytime we drop a chase and comeback. sprintburst is on again.
Being denied a hit just because someone pressed a button, feels really frustrating

Killer's queue time is insane because everyone wants to play killer with a friend.
This is the goal of 2V8, changing stuff won't change anything since killer's can play while they wait.
But wait, even with this feature the queue still went from 30 minutes to 45. SO…
-
Idk if you are trolling or not. I will assume you are serious and don't know what you are talking about.
Dramaturgy doesn't exist in 2V8

I can't wait for this post to get 58392 dislikes just because it criticizes the survivor side.
Like I care, I'm mostly playing survivor since the queue is almost 1hour. I know what I'm talking about. (And no, I'm playing as medic)
I would rather face 2 medics healing themselves in a chase than being countered by silent rush just because pressing F is a thing.

… Maurice plush so close yet so far away for me 😢I went to the Montreal Event, maybe I can get a second Plush :o
Btw, thx for the pics, I didn't noticed them on X !Can't wait to get more info from them !

Fatigue has been fixed, I think..
I didn't noticed anything for a while

Nurse feels different after every update. Before the event she went into fatigue faster and longer than she should have (reblink window was shorter than it shouldve). During the event it was fine again.
It's spaghetti code.
I know right? :-(
There is a bug, when you TP, you think you failed the TP and at the end of the animation you get instant TP where you were looking. This bug comes back every once in a while. Idk how it is possible.

exactly
they have been giving them WAY TO MUCH STUFF compared to killers so i would have thought that they will at least get some compesation but NOPE.
Thats the main reason I don't play the event tbh
Poison is frustrating as survivors and the insta heal, unbreakable pallet/portails are also very frustrating.
I'm so glad the base game is in another queue
-
Beside, it was just text on screen on 2016. Not really any interface
I do miss the quick game feature though
-
Yes! Thank you!
And I'm not talking about the fact that the laceration meters decay if you can't throw knives at the survivor for some time, which I think is normal. BUT the 4.4 m/s just penalises you for no reason. -

trickster shouldn't be 4.6 because you can't just make him 4.6 and call it a day you HAVE to nerf him.
it sucks to get pre ran but I don't want a weaker power

Now he is 4.4 and I'm complaining

https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/466617/survivors-doing-gens-solo-is-an-issue
There is not really a point of doing gens with others. You can duo one at the start, after that it's almost always better to single them if possible.
In the end it depends on the situation and map I'd say. If you have a 3 gen you have to break it would be better to duo or tripple it if the killer is stupid enough to chase the last person for too long, otherwise it's also better to single them in that situation because the killer won't be able to defend 3 gens that are attacked at the same time normally.
(that's just what I think. I'm not thinking much about it normally, I just single if it's not important to crank out a specific gen. The only other thing I think about is the fact that 3 people are barely better than 2 so I splitt then always)
Yeah thats the point, its better to do gens solo. Which removes the need for survivors to try and find each other to do gens faster. (Since it's useless).
Now, you are chasing a guy for too long and decide to leave him to go after another. The guy you chased is going to repair a gen the next seconds. And the next guy you are going to chase might be as good as the other one.
And to finish : yup, how do you want to apply pressure to 3 gens at the same time?

I havent played killer for years, but i was doing ok when i did.
I decided to try again tonight, and there are just pallets everywhere, so survivors just ran from pallet to pallet to pallet.
i did not tunnel, but if i wanted to kill people off, i might have needed to tunnel.
I understand why killers DC
Why should you stay in a match where the survivors are doing everything to make your life as miserable as possible for 15minutes?
-
@Trex_Crazy said:
Survivors being able to walk through goul vaults is terrible since it actively punishes me for using my power in chase. Whether intended or not. I dislike it so ai am going to keep making noise about it until it is fixed.
Is it making you stop playing this infamous killer at least? Cuz, this killer needs to get punish for using his power. HE HAS NO COUNTERPLAY
-
Man, this is annoying. You have to wait two minutes just to get one hit.
Here’s the best example, since it’s supposed to be his affiliated map: Trickster is 4.4 m/s, and his power requires 6 hits to injure (sure, it’s better than 8). If you lose line of sight on a survivor—and you will, given the map—they’ll recover from the laceration.
But you also lose distance if you use your power. So if he uses it, he falls behind, which lets survivors recover from laceration (they just need one brain cell to realize holding W wins). But if he doesn’t use it, it takes ages to land a hit.
What annoys me most is that the map actually penalizes the killer it’s supposed to be affiliated with.

This map is a waste of time if you're not playing a Killer with mobility. Really annoying that we're 10 years in and the map design is still just so bad.
If you are a survivor and have Windows Of Opportunity, killer's game is dead.

The 4.4 nerf is making him so rough to play now. 4.4 for someone like huntress, because 1 hatchet does 1 health state. They want you to hit people and kick stuff for style points but its much harder to get a M1. He just feels super weak to me now.
I'm so pissed off at this tbh
I've never been so frustrated with a killer. And we have 30+ killers -

@GentlemanFridge said:
I think this is more of an issue of the pallet break action having the same bind as the pick-up.
But also, it's pretty easy to punish if you see it coming. Be wary of downed survivors right next to dropped pallets. It's pretty much a free hit if they mess it up.
You should not have to worry about survivors just because the keybind lacks logic

Anyone on NA servers probably knows 1 or 2 names. You'll never see them actually play a match. They just load into your lobby and immediately back out. One of them is always playing a default Ace. The other I've seen lately with Lara's winter coat outfit. I've seen them many many times, and so have several friends. What is their purpose? What do they want??
You're complaining about people leaving before the match start instead of leaving mid-match?
You guys will never be happy for real.
By the way, THIS, case, isn't against the rule

If i were to guess, the sphagetti coding of Interactions & Pickup survivors is too entangled to be seperated or if Pickup & Drop are both "R", the game will bug out and on pickup just drop the survivor again.
Nah because there is a delay, this isn't the problem here. Honestly, fixing the problem is very simple
It's just about taking 5 minutes to look into it

bro is asking for a real QOL change in the QOL patch, idk if hes delusional or really thinks they will make it better.
Im all up for the idea but i know they wont do it, just like other QOL stuff that wasnt implemented despite being asked a lot like toggle to disable power vaulting on wesker because you can crouch abuse the windows so the dash hitbox hits the window instead of the crouching survivor.
Slider for power ADS like Slinger since his ads sensitivity is way lower than the m1 sensitivity (forcing players to only quickshot with pre-aim)
Fix the chain blinding because the blinding meter doesnt go to 0 after a sucess blind making you reset the blind after a succesfull one just by clicking the flashlight (instead of having to blind from scratch)
Fix power cooldowns on K actions, like being unable to vault a window as pinhead after throwing a chain for a couple seconds, despite allowing you to move
Fix houndmaster knotted rope that is butchered and in theory would have been fixed in a month on 2 and now is still broken
Game audio on gens depending and other stuff
Animatronic axe throw still showing the weapon on screen while you cant m1, it should be like huntress that once an axe is thrown you can m1 after the K weapon reappears on screen, but on animatronic the weapon appears and you cant m1 for a bit.
I've been playing the game since the beginning (9Years +)
Don't worry I know how things works here,
I still wanted to talk about it

Survivors don't benefit from the separation of commands.
Cj tech literally requires pickup & pallet break to be one button.
Just using the engine limitations to your advantage, like Blight's hug tech or smth.
Yeah, but this conversation is about logic
I don't even understand why this is a thing in the first place
-
Players voting down this idea, are the one who likes to abuse fast-action tech to force killer to pick survivors up.
I love this community -

Depends what you mean aggressively, if you want chase then something like Sprint Burst, Vigil, WoO, Resilience/Finnese.
Just gen rush then Stake Out, Hyperfocus, Deja vi, Built to lastI know the build to gen rush yeah

I'll try you build

Ah yes, more "us vs them" please keep it going, because as long as everyone is fighting each other the game never actually improves.
Let's be clear, my post is about ragequiting and denying an achievement.
If you want to talk about myers and lockers, suit yourself, but in a new post
-
Aren't we supposed to have some days where we can just select a mode and it always send you on that special map?
They said they would do that for every upcoming maps

For the same reason survivors can deny myers the evil within achievmnet.

Interested in what Myers will get. Also, 100 % Dracula nerfs even though Nurse exists.
They better be careful with myers
They haven't touched him for many years and it's for a reason.
he is a true killer by definition and was never too bad or too good
He may need some help for his stalking ability, not being able to scan survivor past a certains point is awful for sure.
But I think thats it, and I speak from a killer perspective, because I really like him and I'm scare of what they could do to him

Aren't those gens for small interiors ?

@GroßusSchmiedus said:
I dont think thats a good idea.
For Survivors, that would basicly remove sabotage and flash saves.
For Killers, that would reduce the options for strategically placing survivors, such as a dead zone with no gens so you can harass someone of generators while forcing someone else to take a long walk.
It would reduce the skill ceiling for both sides.
During the halloween event, hooking a survivor on a hook in the void teleports him on the main map
They could do something similar

one of the common massive complaints in 2v8 is killers can easily still find you and your cage location and tunnel you
Yeah but at least, they have to find. And if they find and camp, they have to find again

Fun is subjective, some killers find slugging for the win fun. You might not understand how or why but some killers don't understand how or why some survivors find going in circles around a killer is fun. We each have our own version of fun, as long as they abide by the games rules then its all good.

Totally agree with this post. Even when you ran into a team of excellent killers...you still got a good full game. The tunneling was minimal and when it was done, it was really just unlucky. The game was balanced. Not once did I have a short game even when we got whooped. Such a breath of fresh air than the sweaty short killer matches it went back to. I really wish they would keep this as an option. Even like they did it before....no pips for having a good game....no chance or ranking etc. I'd be happy with that. It even made me want to play killer...even with the long waits.
It is true that, even if the killer queue time was very long.
I didn't mind it at all
I'm looking forward for more killers -

Unless you use a mori DBD is not really gore heavy is it? You see what I mean? It is kind ofhard to put the finger on what exactly makes this game a horror game, because except for the fact that it uses characters out of horror movies there is not really much to it…
You aren't really looking at the détails of the decor aren't you?

https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/415637/dbd-isnt-a-horror-game
I don't think it is the devs fault that the game is no longer scary... As soon as you know how everything works in an online game it just stops being scary, nothing they could have done different. And while it is mostly themed I would not call it a horror game, it is a goofy game of catch.
horror doesn't mean scary after all
Imo, DBD is a horror game. Just not scary (at least not anymore, exception mirror myers)
