How much do you get paid to dmg control? Lol. Now is the time for us to voice our concerns as customers and you try to undermine our voices? Awfully fishy. No way in hell are you not employed at BHVR.
I have the same feeling. It's very unlikely that he is normal consumers. Either an employee or just simply very blinded with his love towards dbd.
-
@Peanits can we please get a statement from you guys finally? What's going to happen with Nurse? The image is very clear, majority doesn't like the basekit change and it would be really bad if you ignore us and keep the basekit changes.

I just want my achievement, dude.
Also, I'm 100% sure that everything that needs addressing has been addressed by another 500 people on these forums, including you as a matter of fact.
And why do you want your achievements? It's meaningless dude.
-
As if we don't have much more important things to address atm... I Really don't understand the huge motivation of achievements.. Even the devs are fixing achievements faster than anything else in the game. "priorities" I guess

It's a build that includes Swing Chains and Jump Rope with Ruin, Pop, Thanataphobia, and either Dying Light, Unnerving, Or Thrilling. Its a build that's meant to have the game go on for a lot longer than it needs to be.
Ahh, yeah name fits. I hate to verse that.

Oh really, so you hold M1 purely on gens so that you can go into another game to do the same. Sorry that I don't see the point of taking the way that constaints least M1 holding since your next game will be completely the same old holding M1 if you refuse to do anythyng else. Maybe if survivors in high ranks put slightly less focus on holding M1 on gens (at least when they face M1 killers) then those killers wouldn't run full genslowdown builds.
If survivors are bored of holding M1 (even when that what 70% of survivor gameplay is about) then go start a chase injured or learn how to do proper stealth or play meme builds. There are many things you can do insted of holding M1 on gens but unfortunately best way to make any killers game miserable (while also beiing winning strategy for survivors) is to make a game last 5 minutes by purely holding M1 on gens without a care for anything else.
Best solution would be to either create new objective or make current M1 actions somehow more appealing.
Selfcaring in a corner doesn't let gen pop automatically by their own. Gens have do be done anyway, it's the main objective.

@Horus said:
Alright bye
What a useless comment. He is right, dbd needs an option to chose the server location you want to log in.
-
@Kebek said:
It's funny, survivors complain that holding M1 is sooo boring but then when they play they refuse to heal or do totems or anything just so that they can do gens faster to go to another game and repeat the process. Maybe that's why killers use gen slowdown builds in the first place.
What else should they do? Selfcare? That's even more M1 holding. They take the way which contains the least M1 holding, and it's doing gens instead of selfcaring in a corner of the map.

If your doing Forever Freddy I'm leaving the game. Not because it's "OP" it's cause it's a waste of my time. I'm dying either way. And perks or builds that relate to generators are so boring and old now. Get creative.
What is "forever Freddy"?
-
Definently not in red ranks. Eventually in low ranks, but I will start maining spirit now.
-
Honestly, I would rather take longer fatigue than this super boring and unfun power bar which also hurts to much. However, I'm still standing my position that her basekit shouldn't be touched at all. They need to revert it back and only change her addons.

honestly, I'm a firm believer that noed does not deserve a change because while that I can agree that it rewards you for failure, I also feel that it's just as balanced as any other second chance perk. If were to hold all perks to that standard then fire up would get nerfed, remember me would get nerfed, adrenaline would get nerfed, decisive strike would get another nerf, dead hard would get a nerf, etc. etc. Besides, there are multiple perks and items that let survivors find and cleanse totems faster. So all in all its up to the survivor to deny noed.
However I do believe that your perk idea is great. I think it would be a strong competitor to ruin if not just straight up better than it. It would definitely be a nice shift in the meta if it were to be on its own.
Other second chance perks usually require something to be done. Unlike than noed. As killer you don't have to do anything (besides equipping it in the lobby) to get full use out if it. Perks like dead hard require timing, adrenalin requires a good team to do 5 gens etc etc.
If noed had at least some requirements (for example: requires hooking every survivor once to be activated) then it wouldn't feel as bad. Also, solos need a totem counter.

But what you describe is why I suggest that we need it. Players shouldn't be dc'ing because of subjective red lines over this or that mechanic. This is the game. Either play it, or stop playing.
Think about it: do as many harsh punishments you want. As long as the BIG (and obvious) main reasons why people DC (prayer beads, haddonfield) survivors will just suicide on hook (and the equivalent to that is killers going afk in a corner) because you will never be able to punish suiciding. And what would you have achieved by harsher punishments? Exactly, nothing besides a shift of the mechanic how people quit a game. At the end the results would be the same.
-
Forget about punishments. The devs need to fix some serious issues first before trying to punish DC. The reason WHY people DC needs to be addresses first. And i'm not talking about the salty Survivors DCing against a wraith who outplayed them. I'm talking about stuff like prayer beads, Bubba basement with insidious etc.
Once that bs is addresses you can try to implement a punishing system. Otherwise you all the people who DC now will just evade the softban by just suiciding on hook instead.

If you're a "hardcore" DbD player putting in crazy hours you'll be able to do the pass easily.
If its 111 hours for 348 fragments and all the archive challenges are 352 that means it'll be around 230 hours rounding up i believe.
Thats 3 or 4 hours of DbD a day completely ignoring the existence of challenges. Easily do-able by "Hardcore players" and streamers.
Your title though is correct this is a casual players problem not a problem for everyone.
That said changes should definitely be made so casual players stand a chance.
3-4 hours actual PLAYTIME IN A MATCH. You forgot to take into consideration these: matchmaking, loading times, infinite loading screens, swf bugs forcing to restart dbd, leveling... All That together takes a lot of time aswell.

Just as planned.
Or you just go the free track and AFTER THAT you can decide to purchase the premium track if you are sure to complete it

If I had to guess, it might be because the devs don't expect many of the people who answer that question to do so with enough objectivity.

I have to agree that Spirit is easier to learn and become deadly with than compared to Billy, Huntress or nurse. However, do you think making it more skillfull would change the perspective of survivors who hate versing her? They will still hate her. Unless you want to achieve a different goal with that change

It's these non-constructive, reason-less comments that I hate so much on the forum...
I for my part agree that Spirit should change a little because you just have to look at the stats to see she dominates at high rank as the go-to killer for an almost guaranteed pip.
What stats exactly? Did the devs released new stats? Link it please I'm interested

The link is in the ingame patchnotes, I edited the link into the post above for you and others.

People have a right to discuss the changes - that's what the forum is for, discussion. And yes some people are going to complain and take what frustration they feel out in a discussion.
Telling people to "shut up" about something is frankly quite rude and I would please remind you to adhere to our forum rules and leave people to discuss things that they choose to discuss, you do not have to take part in every discussion, just leave the thread if it's something that you do not wish to discuss.
Thank you! It's quite annoying to read all the "stop crying/complaining/whining" posts while all what we do is actually discussing and expressing our opinions.

hopefully not and that BHVR realizes that the only people crying about spirit is people who dont want to learn to be better but instead just cry when a ACTUAL GOOD KILLER kills them and that they cant use M1 killer looping tactics vs a M2 killer
Just look what they did with Nurse, they butchered her and survivors weren't complaining about nurse as much as they do with spirit. So be sure spirit is gonna get nerfed

I'm more interested in why they are touching the basekit at all more than anything else. Where are they getting this idea that her basekit is so oppressive? From the vocal minority? Because I don't recall her kill rate being all that impressive when they released those stats. Although I might be misremembering, and most of the complaints I've seen were Omega and Multiple blinks.
I think Nurse wasn't even on the list with the top 3 killers with the highest killrate on pc.
-
@Mochan said:
Solo Survivors should just have Kindred built in.
Totally agree. THIS is the one biggest and most needed buff survivors. If that's done I would see so much potantional to buff killers to compete with swf groups without hurting solos to much.
-
I have a much better change nearly everyone would agree with:
C. Only useable AFTER onhooking everyone once. This avoids tunneling the first survivor down to mori him in the first minute of the game.

it doesnt take a ton of skill. You blink twice and you are now on their butt and you hit them. Being slow does almost nothing when you can close the gap by so much especially with addons. She easily 4ks with typically used perks. Now she'll take a bit more thinking and knowledge and skill since you cant just spam blinks till you get an easy hit
Either you are a bad survivor or you versed bad survivors.
-
For some reason I can't create another poll. I will create a poll from killer perspective asap.
-
Noob perk. Only used by beginners or scrubs.
-
Not necessarily, it depends what they do. Keep in mind that there is only 1 reason why we actually want to shorten the gap: it allows to buffs killers more to combat swf without leaving solos behind.

it does yeah. honestly as long as that stays true with the future rifts, i'll be super happy. and also, if you buy the 10$ auric cell pack you get 1,100 cells, so you even have a bit of wiggle room. assuming you dont have cells from past purchases and whatnot.
Sounds cool. Do you know how other battlepass in other games work? Is it the same concept? I would assume you can't get the value back in f2p games and dbd is the exception to this since its not f2p
-
@Mr_K said:
As long as you buy it before the rift end date.
So the rift will be closed as soon as a new rift appears and noone will ever has access to that again if he never bought it right?
-
I mean, you immediately had 1 survivor less to deal with. Idk why you complain, having a 3v1 situation with 5 gens is ez pz to deal with, even without perks
-
@Mookywolf said:
"All players will have access to rewards on the FREE track and, should they want even more cool rewards, the PREMIUM track will be accessible by unlocking The Rift Pass. Tier progress between the two will remain consistent for all players, so if a tier is reached on the FREE track and The Rift Pass and is later unlocked, players will also earn every PREMIUM reward from previous tiers, retroactively as well."
this is the exact quote from the website explaining the rift.
also to your questions, you'd only buy it right away if you just felt like it or knew you could grind through the whole thing. and yes, you can earn all 1,000 cells back. im guessing they're counting on most players not grinding that far? which is odd for how grindy this game is, but, hey i wont complain about getting future passes for basically nothing.
I just can't imagine this to be true... I mean as long as I play enough I just gave to purchase 1k auric cells once and get all the cosmetics in the future? I'm not complaining, I'm happy with that. It just seems unreal lol
-
@Madjura said:
The effects are almost certainly tied to the power. To change the visuals the cosmetics would have to change the power in some way which has massive potential for awful bugs.
I can see it to be done very simple. Create an if-else line.
If cosmetics A is used then m2 power variation A is active. Else the vacation B is active. The difference between A and B is just the colour. Seems simple to me.
-
One of a few reasons why solo Q is frustating af. Just get some decent players into your friendlist and play swf. It doesn't have to be on voice coms, but just having good team mates and knowing noone in the team will do bullshit as you described above.
-
I can't take anyone serious who wants Billy nerfed. Most balanced killer in the game and people cry.
-
@blonde_b said:
Right, because only survivors, can be toxic, right? Basically, killer mains ... just want survivors to come into the game and just stand there, so they can get the kills. They don’t want to work for it, they cry and complain until devs change all the perks to suit the killer and allow the killer to do the usual camp and tunnel!! Heaven forbid, someone brings in a flashlight, and they’re automatically toxic, because they blind you!! THAT, is BS!!!
Activate your brain sherlock! It's a buff for camping! Its in your own interest as survivor that hook smacking comes back.
-
It's a lose lose honestly. As killer you can't Really payback to a toxic teabaggers and as survivor u can't bait hits anymore on a camping killer to unhook because the cooldown is shorter which allows to grab.
@Peanits rethink this design choice, it should be reverted.
-
@HamdaN said:
this system is awful and needs to be removed. i cant play with any of my new/low rank friends because the queue times are garbage and they have to live with sweat lord rank 1 killers who are using mori and spirit all day. its terrible.
Yep it's really terrible. They changes it so the 1% toxic swf groups can't bully low ranks anymore, but they forgot there us a huge chunk of players who play with low ranks because well, they are new. The experience for new players it extremely bad now, you can't play with them together to give them a great experience

Why did you change on Nurse exactly that what noone was asking for? Majority was absolutly fine with her basekit. The addons (actually only 2 types: range and additional blinks) were the only thing you should have changed. Despite you completely missed the point with rechargeable blinks. You said this should give survivors more time to break LoS. But that's not working. You should have increased her fatigue to achieve this goal.
It doesn't make sense, an explanation and a revert is needed.
-
@CrowFoxy said:
Any good nurse main realizes her gameplay is basically unaffected :/
It is such a mild cooldown. Good survivors can keep you in a Chase like 5 seconds longer oh no...
You forgot the part of map pressure. You just simply can't protect gens as before, it takes double if not triple as long to get from point A to point B.
Injuring a survivors gives them so much distance that you have to do at least 2 blink circles. Not even including if the survivor is good at LoS blocking at complex structures which gives him even more distance since they can continue running while you simply can't effort to do 2 quick blinks around the structure to scout possible position (otherwise you are in 6 seconds cooldown which gives the survivor again a lot of time to make distance).
Just closing distance is massively nerfed, good survivors already were able to take full advantage with LoS blocking unless it's a bad map.
I can't even imagine how Lerry's or other indoor maps are gonna be, I will probably won't even bother and just dc from that (I never DCed on those map, I took them as challenge. But with new nurse it's not a challenge anymore, it's like playing on haddonfield as an M1 killer against survivors who equipped balanced landing on purpose to run the infinite).
