Doesn't it cap at 1 million?
It does but with bloodpoints codes and rank reset giving bloodpoints you can go past the cap. I have done it many times
-
Amateurs. I saved up 2 million blood points.
Get on my level

I agree. The insults are unnecessary
-
Lucky. I like going against Blight

You know something is really bad when even GoodBoyKaru is saying so.
I agree with most things. The thing that makes it even more frustrating is that theses probably can be easily solve. Make maps better and balanced for killers, make boon totems have few uses and other faur downsides, don't let circle of healing stack with other healing perks, items or addons etc. But they choose not too leaving the game unfun and not balanced

I'm excited for how challenging the killer may be too. I honestly hope she is keeping the same too see how she plays

Survivors protecting each other adds to the gameplay and provides enough of a risk to the survivors. It's fair amd shouldn't be touched

There are other ways for killers to gain pressure.
Slugging is the most effective way, BBQ pretty much tells you what survivor to pressure next. Like I said playstyle.
Camping and tunneling is only effective because survivors either allow it or don't work as a team.
@RaSavage42 said:
In a vacuum... There are plenty of issues with this game
In a vacuum Gen speeds are insane... all 4 survivors bringing Prove Thyself and Brand New Parts on good toolboxes along other things that improve Gen Speeds
In a vacuum Camping and Tunneling are insane... The Killer bringing things to help out on that front
But that's the thing it's all in a vacuum.. which is why they are strong cause the devs only test things in a vacuum... and the fact that high MMR Killers and Survivors are in a vacuum (meta slaves)
And on the other hand outside of the vacuum things are different... Gen Speeds aren't that big of an issue, Camping and Tunneling aren't that big of an issue either, But Maps are the biggest issue in the current game
Also we don't deserve to win??? Ok then I don't deserve to lose either -shrugs- (Just saying)
Thank you both for your input on the discussion. But I think I'm done debating so I'm just going to have this closed.
Have a nice day and good games :)

I'm done debating this because I'm really tired now and I'm getting a headache. It was nice debating with you all but I'm done now

Your trying to address 2 different things that don't even correlate.
Gen speeds are a core issue while camping and tunneling is a playstyle.
Camping and Tunneling should take a team effort to prevent but the community is more focused on the 1v1 and not the 1v4.
Gen speeds aren't the problem. The problem essentially lies in.
1. Survivors not having enough obj prior to gens
2. Map sizes
3. Poor killers designs
I disagree they do correlate
Why do you think killers camp and tunnel? To gain pressure from gens going to fast. Otherwise why else would killers do it?

If you don't do something because of the worst case scenario, then you end up doing nothing.
And no, again - what you are describing proves my exact point. It's ridiculously broad. For example, if I play Hag - I'll bop whoever triggers a trap. I'm not going to stop and check whether it's someone I already hooked.
If I find 3 survivors healing, I'm chasing the one furthest from safety.
If it's a choice between chasing 1 person with 2 hooks and 1 person with 0 hooks, unless I'm already in control of the game I'm chasing the 2-hooker. It just doesn't make tactical sense not to.
These are all things that happen incidentally during a game and make sense. There is play and counterplay. A risk (DS, BT etc.) and a reward.
Facecamping Indisious Bubbas? Yeah, now that's a problem because there isn't really any reasonable counterplay.
There is tons of counterplay to tunneling.
I agree. Your coming at me as if I'm saying that tunneling is a bad thing and a tactic that shouldn't be used. I'm not saying that. Yes it's ridiculous to not use the tactics when it's best too. But that doesn't mean it's not tunneling. If your playing hag and the survivor triggers your trap happen to be the one recently unhooked and you out them back on the hook then you tunneled the person. That's not a bad thing. It doesn't matter the situation that leads to the recently unhooked becoming hooked again. It's still tunneling. Just call it what it is and be done with it.

'What-iffing' isn't usually a productive line of reasoning, especially when two things are almost certainly connected to each other to some degree.
'Gen speeds' as a whole don't need to be touched. Certain addons, perks, loops and the like are what needs to be touched, and a part of that is going to have to involve reworking and buffing a lot of killers.
Once that is done, if 'camping' is still a problem - you can revisit the issue.
Again, I'm not sure what you even mean by 'tunneling'. I get accused of 'tunneling' if I hook the same person twice in the same match or interrupt someone healing. It appears to be a nothing-term that nobody can really agree on what constitutes it.
What ifs are good to help us determine what's best for things not just I this game but I other things I life. It allows us to wonder about the worst case scenario that is possible to happen. And hopefully avoid that scenario if possible.
I agree gen speeds are fine and other things instead needs to be touched in order for things to be balanced. I also think tunneling is fine. They both are nessacary to balance each other out.
And I think we have as a community come up with an acceptable definition of tunneling, which is also supported by the change to DS. Tunneling is when you target a survivor that was unhooked even when there are others to target.

@Izayaki said:
Bold of you to assume there's an equilibrium that can support a "this-for-that" balance change.
And by "bold of you" I mean "ignorant of you", if I'm gonna be totally transparent.
Ok can I ask. What would happen if gen speeds was slower but tunneling and camping wasn't touched or vice versa?
-
@StarLost said:
The issue isn't gen speeds.
It's the maps themselves. Too many strong, safe tile combos and freebie gens. Combine this with the insanity of CoH and the 'fixed' (see: buffed) Dead Hard and...yeah.
There is a reason killers camp.
'Tunneling' isn't a thing. Removing one survivor from the game ASAP is how killers are supposed to play. If you don't have someone dead by 2 gens remaining, you've lost unless the survivors massively misplay or you have brought NOED.
Yes I agree gen speeds isn't the issue but people continue assert that when they suggest to Increase gen speeds
Also tunneling is most definitely a thing. The fact that the killer are supposed to kill survivors is irrelevant. Otherwise that's like saying gen rushing isn't a thing because the survivors have to do gens as quickly as possible to win

I'm excited to. I play on console so I couldn't play the ptb but she seems like she is going to be interesting to play against.

Its only faster if you heal once.
Meanwhile CoH can let you heal repeatedly and let teammates so it heals more health states faster in most scenarios.
They balance out. Inner Strength heals faster with the downside of it being limited uses while circle of healing has multiple uses for a normal amount of heal time assuming you don't have perks that increase healing speeds (which it shouldn't stack with healing speeds in the first place)

Anti-slugging is only fine when one person can do it. Same with borrowed time and decisive strike. You nerf these and I can almost guarantee that dead hard will not be a problem for most killers
You can't nerf those perks without also dealing with the strategies that these perks are made to counter. If ds is made useless tunneling gets out of control and overpowered

The perk would be terrible. No thanks. I hate the fake hits (more annoying than anything), but I think DH is fine.
Yes it would be a big downgrade from the current dead hard but this change would keep the strongest aspect of the perk which would be for distance. I don't think there will be too big of a net loss

This is what a lot of people have been suggesting, and would likely be the most common-sense approach.
It would still be a really, really strong perk but wouldn't be a combination third health state/flashbang.
You could also add more of a downside to the exhaustion status effect which could nerf dead hard to an even more balanced state
-
@StarLost said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2663263#Comment_2663263
This.
DH, due to it's quirks, was something you had to time right and had an element of risk to it, to slightly offset it's ability to give a defacto third health state on a ridiculously short cooldown. This created a fun mindgame scenario - killers would try to bait it out, survivors tried not to get baited and had to time it more carefully.
Now, there's no risk. You don't really need to time it all that carefully either. Just wait for the lunge to start and boom, third health state and potentially fake hit to let you completely vanish.
The biggest indicator that DH (and COH but that's another discussion) need a nerf is that they change the entire meta of the game simply by existing - whether they are present in the game or not. Hell, survivors without DH can be even scarier, because of the 'ghost perk' situation you mentioned.
Both of these perks need to be adjusted for the health of the game. Survivor queues are getting longer and longer, and once Overcome is in the mix...yeah. Get ready for mayhem.
Well couldn't the solution be to just scrap the dead hard validation and make it so that your not immune to damage and just keep the distance use. This solution solves the fake hit issue and "fix mistakes" issue.

I don't think so. I still get use out of inner Strength and I find in certain situations it can be better then circle of healing. Inner Strength I still more time efficient then circle of healing

So holding w should be encouraged?

I sorta agree. But the other exhaustion perks can be used for both looping and holding w.
-
A premonition buff that I dream for. Just amazing.
I think This is not happening should increase the odds of getting a skillcheck.
I think small game should also be a bloodpoint perk as it increases the amount of bloodpoints you get when you do a totem.
I also think hope should give you the haste status effect for a short time every time a generator is completed
I love all the changes
-
How was killer more enjoyable back in the past?
-
I probably won't mind. I have gotten better not using dead hard. But some of my builds the use dead hard will be not functioning

In short:
- Yes, about 2/3 of the killer roster needs an addon pass and about half need a Plague level rework and a buff.
- Survivor perks have the opposite problem, in that there are a lot of really good ones overshadowed by a handful of OP ones that you'd be foolish not to bring.
- Map balance and often 'feel' is atrocious. There are maybe 12 maps that need a serious rework.
- Flashlights do have a lot of uses (Hag traps for instance) but yes, they do need a rework.
- Toolboxes are a problem when used with high tier addons in a coordinated group. They are fine otherwise.
- Ditto medkits.
- I'm fine with map offerings (I still seek out the Yamaoka ones, can never get tired of those maps), the problem is - as you point out - map balance and quality.
- Further Hook addons should not be a thing. Or at least, not allowed to stack. You've never experienced hell like Grim Pantry or Badham with 3 of the suckers.
- I'd love a season of 'we fix a lot of stuff'.
How would you even rework flashlights?
-

She doesn't need a rework or buff. She is really strong in the right hands any buff would male her even more annoying to go against

What teleporting exploit? The one where he can touch the button near the end and it makes them stuck in place?
Yes
-
I don't think he should have been nerfed too hard. The only thing that I thought should go was the chains attacking you while solving the box. It was extremely irritating and coupled that with slowdown addons made it not possible to solve without him teleporting to you.
They also should change the teleporting exploit.
Other then that he was a fine strong but fair killer.
-
Yes it should. The perk says that when your up from the dying state you gain the endurance status effect. It doesn't matter if how your up from the dying state just as long as your up. Otherwise it wouldn't work with unbreakable or no Mither which it does.
The hex requirement just says that you can pick yourself up from the dying state
-
Hey I'm a survivor main
I think he is fine. He is annoying and it mainly depends on the map if I do well against him or not but I think he is fine.

It's not unfair considering there might be a dozen people that are good with her. Her base speed is also slow as molasses so if the player can't blink correctly then survivors get easy win.

Decisive Strike doesn't need anymore changes. Using it from a locker is completely fair. If you have been unhooked and the killer decides to target you and you Jump into a locker your still being tunneled.
