I want a new boon and scourge hook perks. We need more variety then the ones we have now
-
Yeah no some of these suggestions are really bad

It's just a full set from one of the Rifts, I do not think they added anything new to it, I could be wrong, but I know the head piece and the shirt go together since I have them on my Console account.
Really that's interesting. They really outdid themselves because that was amazing style
-
This picture isn't of ne but when I was queuing up for a game I came across this Jake and he was absolutely iconic
Sorry if it's blurry

hexes are not stronger than boons
Most of them definitely are stronger

Okay, Sadako and Dredge, I get the similarities, but how on earth are Artist and Knight alike? They're wildly different!
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3343720#Comment_3343720
New boon would be good, new scourgehook, new obsession perk could be interesting too!
I'd also like it if they incorporated glyphs into regular play through perks.
Glyphs in normal gameplay would be cool as well
-
I hope we get a new boon perk for survivors. There is still kre you can do with Boons that there can't only be four.

I use "rules" loosely, it's more like the conventions of the mechanic and its associated perks. Shadow Step and Dark Theory are near useless if the killer isn't nearby, and arguably you want the killer nearby for Exponential too since crawling to it might take forever if you're downed too far away from it. CoH is the only one that gets more value the further the killer is from it while it's used, and since it's also far and away the most valuable, that kind of stifles boons as a mechanic.
The whole back-and-forth idea of snuffing and relighting is also skewed if the boon isn't close to the action, so that contributes.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3343420#Comment_3343420
I'd rather look at all sources of healing independent of CoH, since you don't exactly need a boon to get ultra fast healing speeds. Making it not stack with medkits would be a good "intermediate" step while bigger reforms are worked on though, so I'd support that.
I did see someone once suggest CoH should be reworked to a Vigil boon, that's pretty okay as an idea and plays into the established conventions a bit better.
I don't think this is a bad thing. Boons should only be there to provide benefits in a small areas to survivors regardless if it's away from the killer or near the killer.
There should be diversity in how boons act. I'm still waiting for a boon that provides benefits to only one survivor and not all of them.
-
@jesterkind said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3343402#Comment_3343402
I think that healing speeds in general need to be heavily looked at, CoH on its own isn't a problem. It's only when it's stacked with other healing sources, which all stack aggressively with one another and are all pretty decent alone, that it becomes a pretty huge problem.
That being said, CoH does cause problems for the boon mechanic because it breaks all the rules. I don't know what this would look like, but it should be ground-up reworked to work the same way as the other boons and incentivise the killer being nearby to use it properly. Maybe nothing to do with healing at all, I don't know.
What rules? the devs never said boons are supposed to be used with the killer near them.tp get the benefits.
All it is is that boons provides an arean of wffect that gives the survivors benefits. Nothing about killers was involved in that
-
No that would kill the mechanic. In all honesty most hexs are stronger then most boons .
Just balance coh not make it completely useless
-
I want ruin again. I miss it :)

Can't kick it if the survivor is halfway across the map doing it every 5 seconds
If you saw them drop it why didn't you interrupt them and kick the pallet
If not who cares they are not doing gens meaning they are wasting time and helping you.
I don't see the issue.
-
No don't destroy perks. Eruption should not have been made useless
-
I agree. I was annoyed by it but I didn't want it to be awful now. All I think it neede was its incapacitated status effect timer lower
-
Just kick the pallet I'm pretty sure you take priority when the survivors is picking up the pallet
I think everyone is overreacting
-
I'm pretty sure stuns from pallets aren't 4 seconds long so I think its fine
-
I'm still waiting for the call of brine and pain res nerf because I also see those in my games a lot
-
I'm so excited. I hope for a robotic killer

What makes you think they haven't already been doing that?
They have been going on and on about Maurice a lot lately.
Maybe the next killer is the Headless Horseman? Sleepy Hollow? It's old enough to be in the public domain.
I have been thinking that the focus of Maurice was a teaser. Maybe s horse killer
-
I agree. Like I feel like we should have received a teaser right now
The anticipation is killing me wondering if it's going to be a licensed or original chapter.
-
Just because a perk is used a lot does not mean it needs to be nerfed. See self care. By that logic pain res and call of brine should be nerfed because I see them in nearly all my games as survivor.
I think dead hare is mostly fine maybe a small nerf to make it more balanced but nothing major. Let's not make a survivor perk completely useless and bad (like calm Spirit and pharmacy)
If you really want a meta shake up buff terrible perks instead of nerfing strong ones.

That could work but I don’t think that would still fix the core problem that you have to literally sniff survivors asses just to not get hit by DH.
Imagine if in call of duty there was a perk where if you press A you are invincible to bullets and grenades. Imagine that you can’t shoot the guy cause he might have the perk. That’s bad game design if I find the survivor and swing at them I deserve that win. I shouldn’t have to wait just to get my hit.
I don't really see that as an issue. At that point it's a waiting game. It's the chance to show who has more skill between both players.
-
@Chilli_man2400 said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3339678#Comment_3339678
thats why I said it wasn’t really the best I’m just trying to find ways. I did it cause it feels punishing to not get a down and they can just use it easily at pallets. I did this so they can’t just easily get in a gen after escaping a chase. If that’s not good then we can do this
After you use dead hard and you don’t get hit you can’t interact with anything for 2 seconds. So you can’t just abuse it at windows and pallets.
I think 2 seconds is too long. Maybe by a small amount more like .25 seconds longer
-
@Chilli_man2400 said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3339660#Comment_3339660
Or this might be not be the best idea.
If they get a dead hard hit they get incapacitated for 30 seconds.
That seems like a terrible idea. Why are we punishing people for being skilled?
-
@tippy2k2 said:
Short of completely reworking the perk to do something else, I don't know how you could possibly nerf it anymore than it is at this point.
You don't need to rework too much. I think its mostly fine but if it did need a change it should have two changes
1. Increase the time you can't pull down or vault windows and pallets by a small amount to allow a bigger window to wait it out and hit
2. Make it on a token system. 3 or 4 tokens and Once the tokens are gone then you can't use the perk anymore.
These changes keep it mostly the same and allows for skillful gameplay which if I remind everyone something everyone complained about with old dead hard.

Try Second Wind with WMI, I use that combo a lot and it's pretty good.
Camaraderie is only good in SWF though. Not worth it in solos.
Believe me I tried that but the killer always managed to come back to the hook faster enough before I van get the heal off

Curse of Chucky was pretty effective as straight horror.
With that said, it would be hilarious to see Jennifer Tilly (as Jennifer Tilly) and / or Redman (as Redman) as the Survivors, even if the grown-up kid from the first trilogy would be more obvious.
I could be completely wrong. I stopped watching Chucky after the stupid family Chucky movie.

If you're in a SWF kinship is actually bonkers good. Second Wind is nice too, not amazing but it's definitely good if you can coordinate it. Steve is basically the comp survivor.

The amount of times I've seen camaraderie save someone's ass in comp is very high.

Surge is good. Mindbreaker is good. Inner Strength is good, Fixated is eh.
Camaraderie is excellent. Second Wind is good. Babysitter and Better Together need a rework.
Second wind and Camaraderie are not good. It's always once in a blue moon you actually get use out of them

Well, there's a reason thats unpopular.
Good perks, popular characters, good Killer.
Barely good perks. The only actually good perks are self aware and inner healing. Steve's perks are not that great.
The only good thing was the killer and only 2 survivor perks

You aren't afraid of dolls, I get it. Lots and lots and lots of other people are. So.. yep. What is scary or aesthetically horror captivating to you may not be to others.
Yeah fear is subjective and what's scary to someone else may not be scary to me. I get this. I'm not even saying the dolls are or aren't scary. I think it possibly could work. Just not Chucky.
If it was anyone else then Yeah but Chucky has lost all its scare factorr to be horror anymore. It's a comedy now imo.
But hey if you want Chucky or Chucky like killer in the game then to each their own. I would much rather prefer an original doll killer then a licensed one

The very first 3 Child's Play films are pure horror. There is very little, if any, comedic value. Watch those again sometime. It's very easy to forget that after watching the newer movies. :) I also wouldn't count any of Chucky's one liners as comedy. It's simply his way of expressing himself as an evil human being.
I could be remembering it wrong. It has been a while since I watched the movie

I agree it would of course be more comical, but to me personally, someone like the Trickster is extremely comical. I get that some people like him but to me he just seems very silly, lackluster, and unappealing tbh.
To each their own I suppose. I am looking at it more from the simple fact that someone like Chucky is an icon and has an entire legacy all his own, so I highly doubt the majority would have a problem seeing him confirmed.
I actually think tricksters ascetic works. I think it more plays into the fear of things that are seemingly innocent when things are actually more darker. It explorse the idea that you don't really know a person's true colors.
With Chucky he is a well know horror icon I guess. But to me I never really look at Chucky and be scared I more remember him because he is funny not scary. Chucky and the whole series is more a comedy then a horror. But that's just my opinion

@Mooks said:

I mean. We have survivors kicking victor. And stopping killers like Nemesis and Oni with an old wooden pallet. In dying state they can’t stand up on their own so, not that much strength and kicking would probably be the wiggle animation (which can succeed as well).
also Chucky was always leaning more to the comical side of horror so that also fits.
Sure there are some comical and unrealistic elements in the game but it's not to a big extent.
In my opinion comical horror should not be in the game at all unless it overwhelmingly has horror elements like ash vs evil dead.
It's like having leprechaun in the game its so lame. But to each their own I guess

Well, Chucky could drag the survivors behind him and slam them onto the hooks (pig is also way stronger in DbD than original source)
he also does have relation to voodoo magic.
third option: Entity gives him additional powers so he can play the trials the way it needs them
other killers also gain additional abilities (I think PHs trail and range attack are DbD original?) or even lose abilities (Freddy)
I guess.
Personally it would be way to comical to take seriously.
The survivors would just kick the doll lol

You sound pretty confident it'll never happen. Sounds like you are more uninformed than anything. Even Mathieu Cote himself said in an interview. Chucky would work just fine in terms of hooking and carrying a Survivor. So...yes Chucky would work. Pinhead never puts his arm in the DBD "carry" pose a SINGLE TIME in the entire Hellraiser franchise and yet he does it in this game.. Not very true to the characters mannerisms, but again its still in the game.. Chucky would be no different. They'll put him in eventually even if to just shut down all that "he's too small' ######### I bet.
Again lore wise it doesn't really make sense. How exactly will he pick him up that is consistent with his lore? Pinhead works because it's consistent and makes sense it that he can control the hooks to do actions even if he doesn't do it in the franchise.

Chucky doesn't have to carry survivors either? Pyramid head has the cages, they could come up with something for Chucky.
Or hell, he could even drag them to hooks by their leg. Sadako doesn't even touch them and she still carries them over lol.
It would have to make sense lore wise as well. Chucky doesn't have any magical powers to teleport survivors to hooks or cages.
It would look way yo comical too.
The reason why sadako works is because she is basically psychic. It makes sense with her lore.

It really wouldn't be hard to make him work if you are even a little creative.
Victor is attacking not caring survivors and putting them on hooks and kicking generators. He is basically an attack. I really don't think it would work

In all seriousness, I think the next killer should be original. It should be a two in one killer. A smaller killer, reminiscent of a baby that crawls out of the larger killers bosom. The smaller killer would have a lunging attack similar to Demos shred, only that the little munchkin latches on the survivors face and pulls back on their hair and mouth. The larger killer would be controlled by AI and patrol the gens while the player is in control of the little one.
So a better twins?

I'm pretty confident it will be an original killer and then a licensed one for the anniversary.
As for the perks, they could mess around with a boon perk that gives the survivor an x% of vault speed. As for other survivor perks they could other gen perks since they love to add them recently.
As for killer perks, it all depends on the killer that comes out. I don't expect a hex tho.
Yeah this is my thoughts as well.
